Taylor leaned against the kitchen bar while she took a couple of sips from her water. After the sip, she just stared at the wall opposite from her. Not really sure what to say. She could tell him the truth but she didn't wanna hurt his feelings.
"Look B, you are my best friend and the only person in my life I can trust. With my life or with anything really. But I didn't tell you because singing is really peronal." Softly, she put down her bottle of water and walked towards the middle of the room. No real purpose of that move, she just walked.
"I didn't tell you because if you found out, I know for a fact that you'd want me to sing for you and honestly singing is like my soul getting undressed. All my songs are so personal, things I could never tell you. Not because I don't trust you but because I just couldn't." Before continueing she looked up and shrugged again. "There are a few things you don't know about me, and by that I mean, sure you know everything that happend to me but not how I really feel about those things or people." After that statement she scratched her head and smiled akwardly.
"ANYWAY, how was surfing? You're back so early, were the waves wack?" The awkward way of changing the subject was her poor way of trying to act like nothing happend, like her not telling him wasn't a big deal.

It wasn't like he was an investigator or anything, digging for answers. B didn't push her to explain anything at all, although he did wish to know why this small secret became so large. He leaned back in his seat, sighing softly and fiddled with the cap of his bottle in one hand as they drowned in silence, but thankfully it was brief. Tay was speaking up, breaking through what little tension was there.
As much as B understood her with everything, he couldn't quite bring himself to understand this. All self-written songs were personal and mostly are reflections on the past. This only left B thinking that something life changing had happened some time before he met her. Of course he wouldn't ask about it. Not unless she wanted to freely tell. Nevertheless, he left it at that. As confusing and musing as it was, he supposed he wouldn't try and pry into it. That given, B had no real response to it either. What could he say after all that? It's already been confirmed that singing was something she did for herself, and that it was extremely personal. After years of their friendship he would've thought personal was long gone, but it wasn't which was more surprising than the fact that she could sing.
"Yeah, pretty much," he finished off what was left in the plastic bottle before getting up to throw it away. Oddly, Bodie didn't know what else to bring up. It was still early in the day and there were probably things for him to do. He'd already perceived that the beach would be pretty crowded and he'd be called to look over things.

"Are you mad?" Her eyes observed his face and she could see that he didn't really know what to do with himself. "I didn't mean to offend you in anyway. Sometimes I write about, like for example my past, the way I feel about it, and its hard to be so open towards anyone." She grabbed her guitar and sat down. "How about I let you hear one of my less personal songs?" She started playing and singing her song called 'convict on deathrow'.
Afterwards she looked at B and waited for his reaction. "So euhm, yeah." She smiled, her cheeks red from being shy. "It's still really new so it needs to be polished and stuff."
