Draeval considered Mela's words and bit his lip or a moment, "Well...it is a gentle bird. In order for them to fit, they must ride within it's belly. But it releases them when they get to where they are going." This just sounded horrible, but it was as close to the truth as he'd get.
But he was being spoken to by Ash and he tilted his head, "Well yes, but they did appear before my time as well. Jets in particular are popular in my time though. Especially a G6." Ahem. He nodded gently, but then Ash trails off and he frowned. "Everything alright Lord?"
But Ash changes the subject quickly and he bites his lip, "I am not unused to harsh Lord, and I'm not without being harsh myself. I am tenacious and spirited, but I do like to be proven wrong." He gave a gentle nod, "You have always been a good counsel Lord, even without me being here I'm sure you would be for Mela."
He tugged on his clothing lightly, "I hope that my request does not overwhelm you all, I'm sure the search will turn up...quite a bit of information."

Philomela fell quiet again, though she looked pretty terrified at the idea of a jet, and riding in its belly. "That doesn't seem safe." She'd say quietly, more to herself than to the two of them. She's toying with the hay then, and just listening to the conversation, and feeling a little awkward about it since they were sort of talking about her.
"...It seems Populus has been inspired to modify an old design given to Daedalus." Ash murmered aloud, glancing up towards the point of Draeval's voice. "My counsel often comes with catches. I do better to advise in a public setting than some place as quiet or comfortable as this, but Philomela seems to appreciate the ambiance of a barn. ...As do I, for different reasons." Which Draeval may know. "So thank you, regardless. ...Don't spend your time worrying. I'm a difficult thing to overwhelm. Via lives on being so engaged, and Populus only finds greater interest in what is found."
Draeval chuckled softly, "Not too surprised, it would catch her fancy." He paused, "Er, his." Ahem. Ash is continuing and he looked down again, "Nothing wrong with a barn. I prefer the woods, it suits my background better. But I do understand what you're saying Lord."
He looked to Mela and bit his lip, "It's fairly safe considering the many horsed chariots most people travel in. They...usually have a few hundred horses powering them." Ahem. Cars.
He smiled again, "I am a worrier, sort of my m.o. But I'm sure that it will provide you all with some things to consider for the future as well as for now."

Philomela just looked at him as if he'd grown a second head, "How can that be practical? It would take up so much space...your world, it seems very strange Draebal." She was pretty glad she lived there and not here. Giant birds eating people to fly them about, and hundreds of horses strung along to pull one cart! It made no sense!
"...Via has found these chariots. I imagine horse-drawn is some sort of metaphor. They seem too small for that. Via is, however, highly interested." Well, it goes fast and gets people places, of course he's interested. "...I believe he's running his search by methods of transportation. This is interesting. It suits his fancy and hopefully avoids too many grand spoilers to sway the path he's studying. ...Are people still living on the earth surface or in space exploration in your era?"
Draeval chuckled lightly, "My world is unique. It doesn't fit to normal standards and is often based upon imagination." He didn't know how else to describe it. "Yes it is, but they do tend to call it's power source...horse powered. I believe in reference to olden times." He chuckled softly, "I'm sure he'll own one of the best one day."
He blinked at Ash's question, "I suppose you could say both. There are fair amounts of space travelers in my time. But also enough to keep themselves on the ground. Forests and wildlife also still have their place. And of course some old things never die out."

Philomela is looking positively ill, "Space?" Imagination? She's not sure she wants to be in Draeval's world. It sounds pretty scary. "I...do you see the Gods up there?" She's all confused, and she really probably shouldn't participate in this conversation.
He looked distracted, but rightfully so all things considered. "I see. You said you are from... after the advent, correct?" With confirmation, he sighed. "At least there is an after. Via is marking the chronological placement and together with Populus is locating the best physical location to depart from to reach your destination. They're also discussing whether to do it while largely stranded in akasha or once more connected to this terrestrial world. Regardless, your return will probably not be tonight, but soon."
"Some gods travel space. I, myself, exist in a truer state there. Via travels many constellations and nebulas."

Draeval's attention was drawn by Mela again, "I...don't know. The few times I've been in space have not faired well for me. I tend to get rather ill when off land." Or you know die, that could totally happen up there.
He nodded to Ash, the bit his lip. "Ah, yes that's a good way to put it." Ahem. He smiled softly, "That is good news, I found out my wife is very ill...my anxiety comes from wanting to ensure that she'll be alright. And it's easier to do that when I'm home again."

Philomela still looks somewhat sick, but Ash says something that catches her attention, "Truer state?" She'll tilt her head, "What does that mean?" It was an odd thing to say, at least she thought so.
Draeval mentions a wife, and Mela is surprised, "You...have a wife? Oh no...I hope she gets better. Perhaps you could ask Lord Asclepius for aid." She took being sick very seriously.

"...You... found out?" He looked a mix of scrutinous and frustrated. "How have you found out, if you are so far seperated?"
As for Mela, she earned an indirect sideglance. "It means my body here is relative. I substantiate myself upon a variety of influences that tether some part of my consciousness here. It is why without sun or moon I go blind; I have no way to see into this space without them, they are akin to my eyes. Another part of myself hangs in the space that Via searches right now, hence my reflections upon what he searches."

Draeval sighed lightly, "I...am split between times. Physical here, partial spectre there. But more and more I'm losing a solid form, pieces of myself keep being left behind here. More of me, locking me here. I've never had this issue before. And I still have contact with my time, devices and means that are not yet known here but they allow me to connect with my friends and family."
Philomela is surprised by him having a wife and he blushes, "Yes, I do, we've only been married for little over a year. I think she shall a follower of Lord Asclepius has recently seen to her, but still...being separated from her is not something I like."
Ash is explaining and Drae frowns, "Mmmm...interesting. I am always a bit between worlds, times, places, but usually not like you just described nor like I am in this situation."

Philomela would be manifesting question marks over her head if she had been able to. "Does it hurt? To be all pulled apart like that? You don't...really look like this then?"
Draeval isn't making any more sense to her, "Well...that's good then. With a follower of Lord Ascelpius, she is in good hands." She'd give a little smile, in an attempt to be reassuring.

"It is the punishment I alloted to myself." He deflected Draeval's thoughts on the subject and moved on. "...Device. You are using some sort of device intended to permit communication--I imagine in your time--between them? If there were anything that might imbalance your flow of time, relative as it may be to you, that may be it." He pointed out. "In theory... you neutralize the difference between your times and resonate more appropriately within this one, as it still holds elements of your own. No wonder you find yourself lost from home, you're still keeping part of it in your pocket! Barring that, you've been with-holding this information; I would say to let me see the object, but I can not, nor could the others. I imagine Philomela could know little of it at a glance, either. ...Well, if no path is found home for you while we are without eyes at night, I imagine our local technician may be able to find method for you by virtue of whatever comm--slow down Populus--if you are that eager, come here and speak yourself. ...Ahem, by virtue of whatever communication is being made to allow you to speak to your own time. Some path is being traveled, and it can be tracked."
He took a breath, raised his hands, and lowered them slowly--if anyone could even parse what that gesturing meant. "No, Philomela. I do not look like this. My physical form is largely due to a mix of my own attributes forging a shape into materials that are available to me. My traits are often parallel to certain creatures currently inhabiting the planet, or are at least broadly perceived so. Beyond that, I have lived one human life in my time to be familiar with the shape, and respective sensations therewith."

Mela speaks to Ash and then to himself, "Yes she is. Chance is very good. Hopefully when I'm able to return she'll just require a bit more attention, and not medical attention."
Ash gets his attention again and he blinked, "I usually carry them, and have through most of my travels. At least since I was deposited back into time. So for the last few years. I tend to keep them in subspace when not in use. It makes it easier all in all." He blinked again, he hadn't thought of them like that.
He looked off, "I guess when I soniced it that I could have hit the wrong frequency, but...I'd thought it would have presented in my travels before this one."
He tugged at his clothes before, "The full story of this travel is complicated. I was working on construction of a building, and fell some forty feet. When I would have landed onto the ground in my time I fell into the sand before Philomela here. The first theory I had, with some help, was that it could be my gifts saving me from a tragic fall. But...that makes little sense."
Well at least it did in his mind, "I've had worse injuries than that fall would have sustained me and my gifts have never done that before. The second theory is the more complicated one..."
He took a breath before he began, "A fellow time traveler and I spoke recently, my presence here drug him here. We share a bond and his thoughts on the matter were that a bond that I share with several beings in this timeline, from my own, may be confusing my gifts. Many things line up in this time as in my own, and with everything going on in my time...it's possible that I have a few things crossed. But...even then that makes little sense."
He looked off when he spoke again he sounded frustrated, "I have not been withholding to make things complicated, but there are some things that are not able to be said aloud. And they could complicate many things that would potentially affect my time."

Philomela is lost at the sudden rush of information directed at Draeval, and so she doesn't comment on any of it, and instead focuses on what Ash replied in answer to her question. It's still hard for her to understand, and she looks confused, not that he can see that. "Oh...could I see you?" She's just curious, he might be able to read that in her tone.
Ash listened to Draeval, considering in thoughtful silence. "Let them calculate their trajectory tonight. If they can not solve your situation, you and I may speak on it more fully. The less that is said, the better, so let us see what confusions we can spare ourselves and the roads ahead." Philomela earned him actually scooting a few inches closer to her, likely bumping a knee on something or somesuch by virtue of inability to see. "You, my dear, might be one of the lucky few able to visit the place. What you can actually perceive, however, is up to you. In the very least, you are gifted. But that needs to be saved for when you sleep. When you desire it, tell me to leave. I'll return, surely, but watching you lie there untouched may be a bit too much for me."
Draeval looked over at Mela and smiled softly, he could understand the curiosity. But once again, Ash got his attention. He gave a nod, "Yes, of course Lord."
He says something about leaving her untouched and he tilted his head, but didn't say anything on the subject. It seemed Ash was at least attempting to be good.

Philomela is surprised when he moves a little closer, and then she's excited, "Really?" That has her interested, "Sleep?" That didn't make much sense to her, "I'm not so sure that will work Lord Pan..." Her brow is furrowed, "But you can try if you'd like." That last bit has her turning a deep shade of red, "Ah...alright." She'd duck her head, using her hair to hide her face, not that she needed to, because he was blind anyway.
