They soon finished that song, and Philomela smiled, "That was lovely Draebal. Do you often perform in your travels?" She was only curious, and not meaning to be rude. She seemed pretty comfortable in her position, "Would you like to hear another Lord Pan?" She was just trying to keep him entertained, and she didn't know what else to do besides singing, that could be enjoyed while he was blind.

He shook his head. "Maybe another time." He mused, lifting the drink once more, trying to present it towards Draeval this time, instead. He put it down at the end of his long arm's reach. "I imagine I should be on my way, unless you really do have anything to ask, or ask for."

Blushed lightly, "I uh usually just perform at with friends and family. You're very good Philomela." He took back to being quiet before Ash addressed him. There was a blink before he gently took the drink, "Thank you Lord."

He was being better see! He bit his lip, "Actually, could I ask for some counsel? I...have a bit of conundrum and I could use an outside ear. Of course, you don't have to." He was already backpedaling, he really wasn't confident in his query.

Philomela once again seemed disappointed, "If you must. I wouldn't want to keep you from more...pressing matters." She made no move to get up though, as Draeval asked for a favor. She's not sure what to do, so instead she'll ask, "Shall I give the two of you some privacy?" Namine isn't moving, so don't even bother asking her.

"Nothing more pressing than impending madness or mischief. I just need to make sure I don't turn things here into 'pressing matters'." There was probably a euphemism in there... somewhere. Good luck digging it out. "I've no reason to chase you out, my dear. As I said, it's comfortable with you here. In fact, I find it too much so." And so prepares to leave. "Only on his request. Otherwise I have an ear ready."

Offered a soft smile and a shake of his head, "No, you're fine Philomela. You were the one who found me, you know as much as any that I'm...different."

Returning is gaze to Ash he bit his lip, "As you've probably been able to tell...I'm not exactly from here. And I've been here a while. I'm kind of stuck." He wrapped his arms around his stomach, an uncomfortable topic.

"I'm trying to find a way home. It's not going very well but everyday I get more and more tied to this place, I have to leave and soon before I get trapped here permanently. I haven't been able to figure out why this has happened."

He took a breath and looked away, "I have a few ideas but each is a bit more ridiculous than the next. I was wondering Lord, if in your travels you've ever come across one...split and tied between two worlds before."

Philomela would stay where she was then, but she didn't have anything to add to this conversation. She's almost lost between all the talk of spilit worlds and being stuck. She'll just rest her head against Ash, and become the observer for now.

"Not split and tied between, but one who drifts beyond their control at times. If you can tell him where exactly it is you're from he just may be able to see you home." Hey, he'll take being rested against. His hands dropped from behind his head, for one to find the top of hers instead and stroke fingers through it in a loose petting. Draeval couldn't get quite the same scrutinous look.

"Of course, right now he is also in interesting condition. We would be most likely to find your way back in these next few nights, but his ability to escort you might have to wait."

He bit his lip, "I don't think he could help me, it would mean crossing his own timeline, and I know how...hard it can be for him to drift." He sighed softly, he had been hoping Ash would have an answer. Something that could guide Draeval in the right direction. Both of his strong theories were suicidal at best. But he wasn't sure if Ash's idea would be possible at all.

When Ash spoke of the condition he tilted his head, "Oh?" He wasn't quite sure what that meant. He wasn't as good as Gabe was at knowing these three, though he did try he was always...a few steps behind the learning curve.

Philomela is content with pettings, she's not going to complain. She's probably got her eyes closed by now, and she's just listening to them talk. There wasn't much she could add to this conversation anyway. Namine is still chewing hay, and snuggling against Ash, no real change there.

He should only really say so much of his fellows but, "Via may know nearly anything of the roads tonight, but actually visiting them is unlikely in his case. I imagine he's staying somewhere comfortable, if anywhere on the physical plane at all. He drifts easily--especially on these nights. It's a matter of him acknowledging just where he actually is that's the problem. If you ever wonder why the boy's a little off his axis, it is typically because he is."

Nodded gently, "I...could believe that though I wonder if he's ever truly on an axis." There was a lilt to his voice he was just teasing. "Perhaps it's a physical aliment manifesting as a magical one." He was stretching, trying. Anything would be nice.

Philomela was still just listening to the conversation around her, though she cracked an eye open, "You shouldn't make jokes at his expense. He might get upset." She still wasn't totally convinced that he wouldn't start smiting if someone pushed him far enough. Other than that, she's going to remain quiet, Ash was warm and she was starting to get sleepy sitting on him like this.

Draeval brought some mild amusement to the old man. Philomela's concern only piled on it. "Then blame it on me. There's not much worse he can do to me than he already does." The young oracle's balancing breathing was more than sensed by him. He often worked off of detecting that he was raising it. He continued on with his conversation with Draeval, voice lowering. It stayed deep and rasped, however, so it never really made for much of a whisper. "I'm actually in indirect contact with him in the moment. You could speak to him directly, or I could just do a query on your behest as to... what, finding your way to... where are you from, exactly?" He didn't exactly have any data to try to look in the right direction.

Draeval frowned when he was scolded. Bad dog. "Ah." His only response to Mela's words. But it was clear that he'd heard what she said. He snaked his arms around his knees and pulled them in against his chest before looking once more to Ash.

"I...am from some place called the Nexxus, in the year 2011 AD." He bit his lip, "Actually, it's the same time that you and they occupy as well. Which is my concern, more for you all than for myself. Well and of course concern for paradoxes as well...nasty things those."

Philomela couldn't even really comprehend that far into the future. She's just watching Draeval now, curious about what it was like there, but unsure about asking questions because he seemed so down.

She would say one thing though, "Lord Pan must be HUGE by then!" He had told her a long while ago that time effected his growth, and while he'd probably been pulling her leg, she didn't seem to realize that.

"...A.D.?" That... probably isn't reassuring to hear so uncertainly. His expression went blanker than the blinded eye already encouraged. If it was no date he remembered, it meant it was yet to be. "A.D..." He muttered again, mentally falling into himself.

Philomela exclaimed with such enthusiasm that it managed to snap him out of his dreamy state, with one delayed moment before a hearty laugh couldn't help but escape. It wasn't often it came with such lack of control, either. "Ahhah--ah, I believe--ahah--I already am." Yeah, she probably won't get it at all.

He generally refocused his non-sight upon where he imagined Draeval positioned. A few occasional near-giggles (he's doing his best to reaffirm his typical stony demeanor, but it kept trying to escape) came through as he spoke through slanted grin, arms wrapping firmly around Mela. "If you deal in paradoxes, you'd find better help from Via; the boy himself is a walking paradox. Let me see if I can summon his primary attention away from whatever he's doing. Take a walk with him, I doubt you can tell him anything he hasn't already at least dreamed of, if not witnessed."

"B'gik." A rooster clucked around the stall, leaning forward curiously. "Whaaaat?"

"This traveler has questions that you may be best to answer."

"Figures. Come on." it turned and did the classical... cocky cock walk in high, bobbing speed out of the stall--and walked into a standing beamer the bird's oculars failed to catch. "...Stupid... chicken eyes... Shut up, Populus." And years later, an owl hitting a tree would be hilarious. (end)
