Occasional sprints sprinkled through the day are the magic panacea for me. If I try to do large amounts all at once, I either get bored, or hurt my wrists and have to stop.
And yes! I will call out times. We're about four minutes away from start.

Having a netbook has been AMAZING for me. I got it in August, so it's a brand new writing tool for me. I write in downtime between and during class, so usually only a couple hundred words at a time.
But if I hadn't run up my deficit by taking off a few days, I'd be right on time.
.. y'know, let me pee.
Netbooks are great for writing on the go. Most of my recent projects were written on one
That is a great idea.
I keep trying to write on my laptop, but I keep leaving it at friends' houses and it's also so slow I can build up a buffer of words I typed and then watch for three or four minutes while my words appear on the screen.

I return!

:cracks knuckles!:
I do! Which seems to be what freaks out my laptop.
On your marks, get set...

GO GO GO
Standing by.
Stop!
Gah! Just as I was getting into it!
Awww, only 676 words!
Less this time, 331.
And Kimmy?
I got 1127. I think I'm going to write normally to get the last 100 words I need today.
Awesome! These word sprints are fantastic.
