It was safe to say that no one was getting any work done in Mist High that Friday afternoon. With the power flickering due to the strong wind and rain outside everyone, including the faculty, was just waiting for an early release announcement. Even if someone had been trying to work the unreliable lighting and the thunderous booms, that were getting louder as the storm grew nearer, made it extremely difficult.
The elderly lady who was sitting in the main office was lazily checking her email when the front doors opened. She looked up over the top of her monitor, surprised that someone would bother coming so late given the weather, saw the girl's disgustingly bright pink backpack and with a roll of her eyes returned to surfing the web. The girl was soaked to the bone but she didn't seem to mind, her hair was practically stuck to her face and dripping water into her eyes but she didn't even bother to brush it aside.
Ceci reached into the inside pocket of her bright yellow rain-jacket and pulled out a tiny scrap of paper. She squinted her eyes as she tried to make out the name written on the soaking piece of paper, looked like Zoedriking. She tossed the scrap of paper on the floor, placed her hands on her hips, and looked around. She had no way of knowing where this person was but she didn't let that bother her, her gut was what led her here (along with some directions) and she was sure it would help her find the person. She headed down the main hallway, found a nice spot roughly in the middle, cupped her hands to her mouth, and started to yell as loud as she could.
"Zoedriking!! Zoe dri King!! Zoe Driking!! Zoe!! Dri!! King!! I need to talk to you!!" She didn't let the loud laughter from the nearby rooms discourage her, if anything it made her yell louder.

While the girl stood yelling in the middle of the hallway, the students of Mist High came curiously out of their classrooms glad for the distraction. They stayed away from the strange girl yelling in the middle of the hallway, a couple people wondering who she was calling for.
Listening to her screaming helped clear things up a bit, people moving out of the way to reveal a girl with fiery red hair standing there biting her lip and reading a book against the wall.
"Wa-?" She asked, looking up from her book to see everyone looking at her.

((I can finally post))
In room 109, there was a completely and unrelated disturbance. Mrs. Anderson was busy assigning her students the next assignment, pausing only when she heard the screeching of a chair against the floor. She turned around and scanned the class room. A couple of giggles from some of the class mates. Her brown eyes settled on the one thorn in her side. Noan who sat in his chair sideways was a little closer to the outlet, with a book held in front of his face. "Mr. Ternet! Fix your seat right now!" "Yes Mrs Anderson." The boy scooted his chair back into position but still a little closer towards the outlet. "Mr. Ternet, You are not allowed to bring your cellphone to class let alone charge it! Bring it to me this instant." The other students stared at the strange kid waiting to see what he would do next. "No." He replied. "No?" The classroom broke out into laughter. Growing tired of his constant antics, the woman grabbed a slip off her desk and scribbled her name on it. "I will give you a choice, you either give me your cellphone and you can have it back after a parent teacher conference you you can go straight to the principals office."
No sooner than she uttered those words, there came yelling down the hall way. The students rushed towards the door peeking their heads out of the door. "Some girl is yelling." One student spoke up. "About what?" Get back to your seats now!" The teacher closed the door after ushering the students to their seats. Seeing this an an opportunity, Noan grabbed the slip off the teacher's desk. "I'll go to the principal;s office!" And he was out and slammed the door before the poor woman had any chance to protest, leaving the class in hysterics.
He followed the voice down the hall only stopping to watch the spectacle. Some new girl, that he did not recognize. No wait. His black eyes squinted at Ceci. "Hey I know her!" He exclaimed. He approached the crowd, there was another girl with read hair. Some book worm he never really paid much attention to until now. With the subtly of a tank, he approached the red haired girl and leaned in to whisper loudly. "Hey. What's going on?"

At this point Ceci's throat was getting pretty sore and, despite having lured quite a few students out of their classes, no one seemed to really be responding to her call. Her gut had told her this was the right building, although the directions had helped, so why didn't anyone know who she was talking about? Who wouldn't come when their name was called?
She was just about to start going around and asking people what their names were when she heard a voice. She turned to see a young boy looking right at her, something akin to curiousity in his eye. She didn't consider that she was making a scene in the middle of the hallway, obviously he had come looking for her specifically.
"Are you Zoedriking?!" she excitedly yelled, reaching out to grab his hand, "I have so much to ask you!" As she moved forward she knocked the book out of the red-heads hands, stepping on it in her effort to get closer to the boy on her side.

"I don-" The girl started, getting rudely interrupted by the girl. She stared in open mouthed shock when the girl stepped on her book after accidentally knocking it out of her hands. "Hey!" She started to complain, getting interrupted again by another student running to her side.
"Zoe, The library is on fire!!" She yelled over the hysteria, pointing down the hall where black smoke could be seen making it's way to them.
"WHAT?!?!" The girl, Zoe, yelled back, running the direction the smoke was coming from.
She didn't know what she was going to do because all the sprinklers in the library were disabled after some stupid students sneaked into the school and put lighters up to the sprinklers.

He watched as the red haired girl not only answer him but get pushed aside by the new strange girl that he swore he knew. He grabbed the hand excitedly and said "Nope!" Noan beamed back at her. "I know you! You're on facebook! Ask away! Can you really talk and see dead people!?" His words came out faster than he could possibly process. Noan always had the tendency to spit out words without ever thinking if they made sense or sounded the least bit sane.
He jumped swiveling his head around as he heard screaming and then watched the girl named Zoe sprint towards the fire. "I think she is though." He gave a firm nod to Ceci. While the fire was going on, students pushed for the exits, including the teachers who were trained to calmly coral the students away from danger. "Wow, Zoe is really bad at running away from fire."

Ceci spun on her heels to face the fire, tearing a few pages from the book she was standing on in the process, and squinted. Part of her would have liked to talk to the boy some more, and ask how he knew about the facebook she hadn't been on in months, but the fire seemed more important. The flames were spreading almost as fast as the smoke but something about them seemed strange, they way they seemed to chase the fleeing students and the girl casually strolling in the center of the hallway, unaffected by the flames on either side of her.
The girl looked an awful lot like the girl who had told her to find Zoedriking but something was definately different about her. Was it the fact her hair seemed to be made of fire or the fact one leg was covered in coarse fur while the other glistened like it was made out of metal?
Ceci wasn't sure what to do, part of her wanted to say it wasn't her problem, but when the flaming goat metal witch started trying to attack some of the slower kids Ceci couldn't just stand by. Whatever this thing was it wasn't human; an icy feeling slowly spread. She shivered despite the raging flames, she let out a gasp and her breath could be seen. She pulled her iron dagger from her belt and headed towards the creature, stopping to encourage a kid to move along.
"Knock it off! Leave these kids alone!" She shouted, pausing to try to think of some witty catchphrase she could say. Despite all the material the creature gave her she was drawing a blank. Should she comment on the hooves? The metal leg? Maybe the flaming hair? The she-beast laughed, a vicious sound akin to that of a hyena as her eyes gazed the hall of frightened teens.
"Oh my~! Why would you stop me princess~? Can't you feel it, how close your father is~? I will send you to him at once~!" She said, waving a hand as a pillar of flames raced towards Ceci but at once they stopped. The empousa was staring at Zoe with nothing but disappointment in her eyes.
"Awwww~! Don't tell me you are the other demi~? I was hoping, given who your father is, you would be much more attractive~!" She complained, the flames around her seemed to mirror her disappoint as they lost some of their flare. She gazed past the two girls and fixed her eyes on Noan, her eyes sparkled with some vile sort of interest.
"But you~! So rare~! I've never tasted one like you~! So handsome~! Let me devour you~!" The flames returned to their frenzied state as a feral look settled on her eyes.

Things started to unfurl quickly when the strange girl with the metal leg came out of the thick smoke, staring at her and the other girl.
Demi, what? And my father? Zoe stood confused for a couple moments, that was until she saw the girl train her eyes on the other guy. Seeing the intent in the girl's eyes, she backed away towards the wall and closed her eyes.
Shit, shit, shit, shit. What do I do? She asked herself, wondering if she should run or if she should stay.
Zoe could feel the flames licking at her arms, arcing around her while they traveled to the boy. No "No." She whispered, seeing that they were going to burn him alive if she didn't do something. "NO!" She yelled flames closing around her as the sprinklers exploded and torrents of water came crashing down upon them.

Despite not truly knowing the definition of normal, even Noan could tell that beings with only one animal like foot, horns and fire for hair was definitely not normal. He cautiously glanced over his shoulder watching people fleeing. if he should fight he could risk exposure but not fighting meant that his newest best-est friends for all of forever till the end of time would be doomed. He checked a watched just under his baggy blue hoodie. His charge was at 50%, just enough to put up some kind of fight and maybe run away should things get too ugly.
He reached into his back pulling out a long silvery but thick string which he attached to a nearby locker. Fortunately for him the beastly woman was too preoccupied with sending flames towards both Ceci which stopped just so she could taunt Zoe. "Psssst! Hey!" he hissed to Ceci and pointed to his rope. "If you distract her, I can-" he quickly hid it behind his back when the empousa then turned her attention to him. His black eyes grew large as he yelled, "I need an adult!" Then the sprinklers exploded. His rope gave a slight crackle and he quickly pulled the hood over his head protecting his face and headband. "Stop! No! Dammit it all!" Distraction or not he was in a huge disadvantage, and he tossed the rope that was tied like a lasso, hoping that by restraining the empousa, it would be enough to at least slow her down.
"Let's just bail and regroup!"

Ceci wasn't sure why the sprinkles hadn't gone off earlier but she wasn't going to complain. The creature screeched as if the nasty water was hurting her; strangely enough the water didn't completely put out the flames but it definitely took away their kick. Ceci wasn't sure what the boy had been trying to say to her but apparently it might have been something along the lines of 'duck' because she was barely able to dodge the cord he threw at the creature.
He had surprisingly good aim, catching the creature off guard and ensnaring her up in the rope. She didn't seem all that dangerous when her sentient flames were as weak as matches and she was tangling herself up trying to escape the rope around her. Then the boy said something ridiculous.
"You want to what?! We can't leave this thing in a school!" She said, turning on her heels to yell at the boy. The creature was tying itself into knots, why wouldn't they finish it? It would be a quick and easy kill.
"Let me finish this bi-," Ceci began but she was cut off by the she-beast leaping at her back. She though the creature was too busy turning itself into a ball of yarn to attack. The force knocked her to the floor but she was able to throw the creature off; in a quick motion she swung her hand, catching the creatures throat with the tip of her dagger. Some sort of dark liquid spilled from the wound as the creature stumbled back. It tried to stand but it slipped on the water that was pooling on the floor and ungracefully smashed it's head against the bottom of the lockers near Zoe.
Weakened, humiliated, and quite possibly dying the creature glared at the three teens remaining in the halls. It was a look of pure rage but Ceci wasn't phased. She easily met the creatures eyes before she started watching whatever was spilling out of the beast's spread towards Zoe.

Trying to stay as far back from the beast as possible, watching the boy toss the rope like a lasso around the creature. As the creature ensnared itself further into the rope, she turned back to the boy trying to ask him a question when the girl got attacked from behind by the creature.
Despite being at a disadvantage, the girl managed to quickly stab tha creature in the throat, sending it flying in Zoe's direction.
Zoe watched as the creature slammed it's head on the lockers, creating huge dents from the impact, a blackish liquid spilling from it's throat.
"Is that oil?" Zoe asked in a whisper directed at the other girl.

Noan's lasso may have worked but he knew the limitations of his webbing. "That won't hold her for long! It will disintegrate shortly. I don't do well in confined space-" His eyes grew wide with worry as his newest best friends for all of forever till the end of time got pounced by the she-beast. He pulled out another chord darting to the opposite side of the hall way. There he attached it to another set of lockers and lassoed the monster just as Ceci managed to slice its throat.
With it severely weakened and restrained he dashed forward to pull Ceci away from it. Well his strength wasn't exactly much and it would take little effort to resist him, but even if she didn't all he could manage to do is drag her away. Meanwhile the electrical rope that ensnared the empousa sparked and made a high pitched whining noise as water from the sprinklers continue to drench them. "Ah crap. Can one of you do something about those sprinklers?"
He had no idea what sort of powers Zoe potentially had, but Ceci did not seem to have much at all. Maybe there was an aspect of hades that he nor his hive did not know about. "And seriously who did you guys manage to piss off?"

Ceci was a little shaken from the surprise attack but she would live. Once she got tired of watching the black blood soak the bottoms of the cowering girl's shoes she turned her attention to the cord that was restraining the creature. It kinda looked like a cord you used to plug in a television but stronger looking, part of her found it strange that the boy would just carry something like that with him but, since she was just almost killed by a girl with a goat leg who could control fire from her head, she decided not to ask.
She stood there, a sense of relief coming over her. The creature was the one dying, no one else had gotten hurt. That internal cold was slowly disappearing, being replaced by the cold that came from wearing soaking wet clothes. The boy tried to pull her away and she didn't resist, for some reason she was exhausted. She had been fueled by some sort of adrenaline and now that the danger was gone so was the rush. She let herself fall backwards onto the floor, just now realizing just how much water was pooling on it.
"Blood, it is that girl's blood." Ceci said at last, her voice even and distant. By now the goat girl was dead, her once venomous eyes glazed over. As if to certify the fact the few remaining flames around them had puttered out, leaving a few scorch marks on the floor and walls.
"She told me to come here, she said someone would know who my dad was. I guess she followed me here looking for a meal or something . . ." Ceci nervously rubbed the back of her head, this was kinda sorta all her fault.
"Eh, sorry about disrupting your classes and uh, maybe setting some of the teachers on fire." She glanced around and noticed the ruined book on the floor.
"Hey, if they charge you for the library book I will pay it. The ground gives me money." She said in all seriousness, as if that were a perfectly normal thing to say, seemingly forgetting that about all the property damage she had brought onto the school.

Despite being right under one of the sprinklers that had been set off during the fire, Zoe was completely dry save for her shoes. Taking off her jacket, she tossed it to the girl without realizing she was dry and not soaking wet like the other two.
"It's ok, it was a personal book." Zeo added, trying to figure out silently how you can get money from the ground. I mean, it's impossible.....
"What are we going to tell the others?" She asked, trying to figure out how to explain a she demon with a goat leg that could control fire upon will. It was enough to put all three of them in an insane asylum.

He kept his distance from the she demon, because he expected her to jump back up like some cheesy horror movie. "She wanted you to find another Demigoddess so she can eat the two of them? Well... I guess that makes sense. Wait I thought you did know who your dad was." he tried to process that information, and although he was not very wise nor that intelligent when it came to human logic, something did not add up. Maybe there was something much larger going on.
Noan shrugged off the apology with a cheerful smile. "It's fine, I was heading to the principals office again anyways. You can get money from the ground? No fair! I want that power too." His cheeks puffed out in a small pout but it did not remain long for he had to giggle at Zoe's question.
"We don't! We could just hide the body and go back to pretending to be perfectly normal human peoples!" His arms crossed as he nodded as a matter of fact. "I know, because I am an expert at blending in with normal human peoples." He actually wasn't. If anyone had spent enough time at the school, they would know him as the weird kid that everyone avoided and caused many class disruptions. "So what can you do? I wanna see before people come back-" He turned his head down the hall way. "Never mind. I think I hear some people coming. Do you think she'll fit in a locker? Janitor's closet? We might be close enough to cafeteria, and we can take her out back to the dumpster."

"I only know my dads name begins with a H, that narrows it down to like thirty gods so . . ." She trailed off, waving one of her hands to emphasis what she was saying. Ceci honestly couldn't really remember what her mother had said that fateful night, her speech had been slurring pretty badly but she had understood enough.
"I've been looking left and right for somebody to give me something more definite but it seems all the helpful people actually want to eat me." She said, gesturing her head to the corpse of the girl on the ground. She was going to make another joke but the sound of someone running, and falling, caused her to jump to her feet!
"Shit, I can't be caught over another dead body! We gotta get out of here, there isn't time to stash the body! Run for it!" She yelled, turning on her heels, almost slipping in the water, before bolting it down the hallway. She took a turn at the library, relieved to see an back exit but stopped. She ran back to the corner at the end of the hallway and quickly gestured for the others to follow her.
"Come on, follow me! You guys could get detention if they find you standing over a dead girl!" Someone yelled behind them and she skittered towards the back door. She opened it and waited, she would give them thirty seconds and then she would leave. She wasn't going to risk juvie for some kids she just met but she also didn't want them to get in trouble.

She yelled, turning on her heels, almost slipping in the water, before bolting it down the hallway.
"Wait, gods?" Zoe stuttered, confused. All she knew about her parents were that they were dead, her mother died in a ship wreck and her father had left her when Zoe was born and never returned.
Hearing the running, she looked down the hall to hear a thundering of feet coming up the steps. "Sounds good to me." Zoe yelled, chasing after Ceci down the hallway. Even though she was running just as fast as Ceci she didn't slip at all, just seemed to glide over the wet floor as they raced to the library.
"Man this looks freaking suspicious, we would defiantly get worse than detention." She groaned, meeting Ceci at the back exit.

"You mean this has happened before!?" Noan called to her, but when he was motioned to follow, he took off nearly slipping on the water, unlike the very graceful Zoe. He did not dare use his top speed here for who knows when he will be able to recharge again. He screeched to a stop just outside the exit and added onto Zoe's observation. "More than likely held up for questioning of some species people forgot existed. And maybe murder."
The boy closed his eyes as if contemplating something, he was just checking his battery life. He was down to 40%. "Well where to? Either of you got a good place to lay low?" He did have a place, but it was further away, and actually an empty house he was squatting in and pretending to actually live in. The neighbors had yet to catch on that there was really no one home. "If not, we can stay at my place for now and find where else to go from here."

Ceci wasn't sure what question to answer first, which was more important? They might not want to hang with her if they thought she went around shanking flaming goat girls, and in her defense she killed a lot of other things too, but the girl seemed to be having a hard enough time wrapping her head around what was already happening. If she brought up the harpy it might blow her mind in a bad way.
"I know a place nearby, follow me!" She called before rushing out the doors. She raced down the pavement, still wet from the storm before, stopping only now and then to check to see that they were following her. She used the short run to try to think of what to say; she had to do something to reassure them she wasn't crazy. She skidded to a stop at the town park. No one would think anything of some kids hanging out at the park although she doubted anyone would be around to see them so shortly after the storm.
She waited for them to catch up, taking the time to bite at her nails. She knew it was a terrible habit but she also didn't care. Once they stopped in front of her she panicked, everything she had been planning on saying flew away. She stared at them with her mouth open, eyes slowly going wide.
"Uh . . . want to see the ground give me money?! There is some right over here!" She yelled a bit to loudly suddenly before turning on her heels and running a little ways into the park before falling to her knees. She crawled around in a circle for a bit, touching the wet dirt as if looking for something, before she apparently found the perfect spot. She than began to dig, using her hands, until there was a small mound of dirt beside her although she didn't seem to show signs of stopping.

Noan had little difficulty in keeping up. "Great! Does this place have an outlet?" Maybe she was leading them to a cafe with a limited outlet, or maybe to where one of her parents stayed, or maybe she was taking him to Disney world! He could dream! Imagine his disappointment when she instead lead them to the park. A soggy wet dirty park. "Awww I thought we were going to Disney world." he had to wonder why she brought them here of all places.
He waited for the speech, explanation or anything but instead he was posed a question. "Money? Why? What does that have to-" Before he could beat her questions, she dashed off to start digging in the ground. "Wait! what are you doing?" Noan had a very literal mind and instead envisioned some fist rising up from the ground and taking out a wallet to give her a debit card but instead she was digging a hole. He ran over to attempt to pull at her arm or pull her up. "Stop! What are you doing? You can't expose yourself like that! We're not supposed to expose ourselves!" There was danger in being exposed, as either crazy and locked away, other demi-gods or actual gods, or even the monsters that would hunt them.
"We really don't have time for this." In the distance he could hear sirens wailing as they headed toward the school. He knew those sirens whether they be ambulances or fire trucks had better things to worry about then some kids skipping classes. At least until a head count was done. It seemed like to him that it may be a while before he returned to that school if he ever did. Noan never had to transfer before since, besides all of his eccentricities, he managed to keep a low profile. He wanted to blend in and learn about people
