Valos Morpheo (played by Bryaphite)

"Sounds acceptable," Valos spoke in a hushed tone to Korr. He admired the way the shorter man planned out his actions; however, Korr's plan insinuated that Valos would have to watch this temporary ally closely, lest Valos desired a blade in his throat.

Valos accepted the small knife, more of a shiv than a blade, from Korr without hesitation, slipping it up his ragged right sleeve with skillful sleight-of-hand. Valos pulled his dirty canvas hood over his head, obscuring his face from all the passerby as he strode past them on the street, following Korr closely. He didn't want to form a habit of leading the way around his new companion. His mind hungrily slavered at the thought of whatever the wagon may have been carrying.

The drunken merchant staggered his way to the front of the wagon even placing a hand on the front wheel to keep himself steady. Along his merry way though he hummed some tune he heard from across the Sovereign. A term used on either side of the massive circular mountain ridge to refer to those on the opposing geographical side. Face still flushed in a bright red he attempted to climb up onto the wagon's seat, but failed in misery. Hell. The poor guy was so drunk he stumbled back even before landing on his keister. "Oo!" He yelped upon landing, but quickly laughed heartily. "Of all my travels this place sure has the best damned mead in all of Edyn!" Throwing his hands up in more laughter, before eventually fading to a sigh followed by the strained "Hrk!" when he attempted to get up.

Round two, he thought as he motioned to stand up right. Falling really did not help his coordination any, but he trudged on forward toward the wagon.

Back in the tavern though Yagrush and Allen were trying to get to know their hopefully, new companion. They appeared fairly merry, but maybe not all was as they may seem. Respectively Allen ceased his seemingly over-drawn praise toward Feldar and gave a nod before turning to Yagrush during the time Feldar paced away. "What say you, ah?" Allen imposed upon Yarush. "Yagrush tilted his head from side to side in debate. "The spirit is there, sure enough. May he be of use?" Yagrush tilted his head back to the question asked. Sure enough it could already be known that the fellow was a mute and communicated through many a facial and bodily expressions. "Sometimes I wi--" Yagrush immediately rose a finger to his own lips to silence Allen from losing himself in his fairly vocal thoughts and even gave a look to accompany it. More of the look varying with: What in Edyn is wrong with you?, sort.

One of the girls, the one moping about her future was brought to attention by Feldar's approach. "Ah..?" She acknowledged the odd request and even took the words of encouragement to heart that even though people would leave for the day that more shall come another! This lifted her spirits up more than words could portray and immediately went to fetch their owner who resided elsewhere. "Hol' down th'bar!" Shouting back to her friend that was in the middle of a discussion with Allen about what they would like brought to their section of the bar. Meanwhile at Allen's side was his comrade counting the coin in their coin purse, sharing gold was a hassle.

It was fortunate though. The owner rarely leaving the tavern in case of a fight breaking out or needing to demand compensation for damages. The girls could only keep up with so much on their own with all of the perversion and demands for orders being thrown their way. He had only just returned, although not entered the wooden establishment. When one of his employees barged through the door he immediately snatched her arm and yanked her against his tall, built frame sliding his hand over her mouth. She squeaked a little but he adjusted to entering the tavern with her in tow by the arm. "What'cha needed, darlin'?" His tone was fairly deep and held a sort of power to it, or perhaps it was only with his employee because she seemed to quake with almost every word. "Oh n-n-n-nothing, sir." There was this look of terror, yet security, over his face while she were in his presence. With a shaking hand she raised up a finger to point toward Feldar, Allen and Yagrush. "T-t-there. Some of-f our customers wou--would like to speak to you." The tall man towering over his employee cranked his neck to look in their direction. "Hrnn? Don't know none o' there faces."

Even still he could not turn down a paying customer. As her employer strode off with hulking arms folding over his chest his employee collapsed onto her knees and sighed. "I'll never get used to this." Shaking her head in self-disagreement. "What was he doing outside though?" The question did pique her interest. Normally her boss would never just be idle outside. What could be going on? Oh how much she wanted to know and even want to satisfy such a desire. Reaching out slowly to touch the door and nudge it open to peek outside at what caught her boss' attention so steadily. Before she could even touch the door their employer's voice boomed throughout the tavern. "THERE'S DUST ALL OVER THE PLACE! CLEAN IT UP!" Shouting back toward her as he finally came to the three in question. Just as he arrived, the other employee was bringing over three tankards of some sweet, yet strong ale. While placing them down she whispered under her breath with a pleasant smile on her face. "He may seem like a scary fella', but he's really quite nice once he's sure you aren't plannin' to ruin his tavern.." The owner stood maybe as tall as Feldar if not taller by perhaps an inch or two. The lack of hair made it easier enough should the two stand back to back.

The sound of this man's voice held such assertion and within his own rite as an owner of this establishment. The girls went right to work. The dust from the disintegrated body was in the process of being swept up and the other waitress was tidying up the bar section in wait of new customers. Yagrush did not appear moved by the spirit behind the Boss' voice, if anything a little annoyed. The mute huffed before taking up one of the tankards to down two or three glugs of the sweet succor. Allen piped up to Feldar. "One's your's." Although his eyes did not leave the approaching bossman. If a man's spirit could roar, this one was in constant bellow. A vein on the side of Allen's head pulsed blue through the skin as though ink had been injected into his bloodstream JUST on his temple and that one vein veiled moderately by his blonde hair.

By this time, Feldar had already pulled up a chair with the two men. "You managed to get the attention of him?"

Just outside something was in occurrence. Clouds were beginning to generate fairly quickly over Sovereign's Fall, visible by all in Haven and even Edyn for that matter. Something was amiss. The clouds generated quickly without sign to show they were going to stop. Those clouds were dark and ominous, suspicious even that they only loomed over Sovereign. A few people in Haven spoke aloud their own self-created rumor of why. "They say whenever the clouds of Sovereign come it means mass death is soon to come." -- "Whenever these clouds form over the Sovereign peaks, a new deity is rising to the heavens." -- "Those clouds are the signs of something ominous." No matter which way you look at it. The clouds have been generating over Sovereign on and off for many a season, but no one has dared provide a first-hand attempt to really see what lay over the ridges aside from the already assumed desert.

Nothing precipitated from those formations in the sky. Neither rain, snow. Not even a roaring thunder or a flickering flash of blinding lightning. The peaks were hastily enshrouded leaving only the Edyn population to speculate. One thing was for sure. The air of Edyn during this time because eerily quiet.

Korr Halafar (played by MugiWarin)

Korr saw the man fall of of his cart and began to walk over to him. he walked up to the man behind almost sneakily, as he finally reached the man he tapped on his shoulder and asked "You cant even enter your own cart, how do you expect to be able to go on your own? you are being a very foolish man. i wouldn't be surprised if something bad happened to you on your won. being a pathetic drunk all on his own." he attempted to anger the man and in doing so distracting him.

As Korr attempted to distract the drunken man, he waited for his ally to spring oh him. he tried to stretch every word to allow the would be assailant more time. he kept his eyes on the man seeming to focus. As he waited for his friend he thought the drunk mans reply would be interesting, if he lived enough to make one.
Feldar Verdince (played anonymously)

Feldar looked at the woman who brought them their ale and nodded at her in thanks. "Well, I can respect a man who acts to protect that which belongs to him. I can tell he takes the best care of this place that he can. Well, thanks for the heads up on that matter." Feldar thought it would be mentionable to tip the woman with the spare change he had. He found her kindness to let him know prior to meeting the man, that he was nicer than he seemed. After all, This kind of stuff would allow Feldar to speak to him more direct without means of hesitation. Feldar reached into the pockets that he had and pulled out a reasonable amount of change. He reached out and handed it to the woman with sincerity. "Here, this is for helping me out. Keep it, it'll do you more good than it would me." Feldar wouldn't allow her to return it even if she wanted to.

Feldar repositioned himself to get more comfortable while he waited. Feldar rose an eyebrow to Allen and reached over pulling his tankard over. "Yeah, I managed to get his attention. It wasn't all to hard... plus I have a few questions for the man. I'm sure he wouldn't mind having a chat about a few things. It seems a lot of people have left for the day anyway." Feldar realized that the man had already started approaching them. "Well, here goes nothing I suppose. Oh, and I'll be bringing him over here... Just to let you know ahead of time." With that being said it seemed Feldar was about to get up.

Feldar rotated himself in the seat and stood up from the table again. Feldar walked over to the man as he was approaching to meet him almost half way. Feldar stopped in front of him and put out his hand for a greeting to the man. "I assume your the owner of this establishment? My names Feldar Verdince..." He then turned himself sideways so he could point at Allen and Yagrush. "That there is Allen and the fellow next to him is Yagrush. I was wondering if you could pull a chair over and give me the time of day. I would actually like to ask you a few things about this Tavern."

Feldar stood firmly showing no hesitation when talking to the man, who seemed to be the same size as him. Feldar's handshake would be firm and sturdy, one of a man who who respected others. A few questionable things would be Feldar's appearance to the two men at the table. The differences between the wears of the men compared to Feldar were not something to be avoided. Although, Feldar's cloak managed to hide most of the questionable attire.

Feldar realized that it began to get darker at a reasonable pace. The sunlight which drifted through the windows and doorway of the tavern began to dissipate. The shadows within the Tavern stretched outwards, so thinly, until they disappeared. The darkness brought a different atmosphere than what was felt previously to Feldar... one that would bring forth chills.
Valos Morpheo (played by Bryaphite)

Vslos let the knife up his sleeve fall into his hand, before thrusting the blade into the drunkard's fleshy throat. Blood splattered onto the ground, bursting forth form the man's throat. Valos heaved the corpse quickly into the wagon, out of sight from the average pedestrian.

"Good work distracting him," Valos said, his voice monotone and his eyes cold, "Do me a favor and search him for the keys to that chest, would you?"

(Sorry guys, I'm new to using dice in RPs, i think I did that right.)

You did fine, Valos]
Sorry this took so long. Was almost done last night, but I went to flick some dust off my keyboard and hit the F5 key. I was gravely upset. D; ]

Blood was quick to pool into this lungs of this dying merchant. Gargled bubbles of air forcing up through the inward flow of blood down the wind pipes. It was coming too fast and with every expansion both lungs took to gasp for air only forced more of the crimson fluid down into the once vacant air bags or muscle. Reaching at his neck trying to remedy his failing condition he only managed to scratch at his own neck making the wound worse than it was by peeling away flesh. The shock had set in the instant the knife took its plunge causing only sporadic motions and causing the body to twitch and spazz uncontrollably. Both eyes darting in either which way to find for some mode of assistance, but was cut short by being tossed into the heated hull of his own merchant's wagon.

How much alcohol he consumed was bad enough, but to be thrown into a musty wooden container heated for hours since morning due to constant exposure from the sun only caused the bleeding to flow as free as ever. The wood was warm. In a relaxing sort of way for his body grew cold. Death was settling in. Every force of his lungs to scream only forced up blood from new wound and mouth. The twitching and sporadic muscle spasms slowed until finally the body did no more than begin flooding the cart's wooden flooring with blood by whatever was not already soaked into his lavish garbs of wealth. This was quite the success for these two murderers, however the merchant himself may have gotten his fair laugh in the end were it not for his demise.

Determined by a 92/100 roll -- The merchant lost 9 of 10 keys to the chests stowed away in his wagon. The other nine chests could either be left to rot and decay over years with no knowing of what was inside of them or were the two murderer's desperate enough take the chests to a Locksmith by which these are a rarely bred people of trade. Perhaps they could ask around? Or ride off to Southheart as originally planned with the singular chest available to open. The key itself would be found in a pocket stitched onto the inner lining of the merchant's blood drenched garb.

Upon opening this singular chest, the murderers would find to their probable pleasure different sets of attire: One, Two, Three, Four. Should the men use the key to try the other multitude of chests lining the interior of the blood and death scented wagon will find the key works for one other chest. More clothes! [Choose your attire if none of the above suit your fancy, but keep it reasonable please.] As it turns out, this merchant was a seller of clothes, fabrics and other materials used and found across Edyn! A good kill indeed were it not for this merchant's clumsiness and losing the other nine keys!

Back in the tavern though something of interest was afoot. The dust was being cleaned up fair in haste while the other accepted the patronage with a gleeful smile. The two women of this bar may be kind, but money is something they will take with no questions asked! Except.. for selling their bodies. "Thank you." She said but fell short of following up with a comment by her boss' approach.

The tan skinned male looked to the vagrant seeming male with suspicion. "Aye'?" Not tossing his gaze from Feldar for a moment. This particular individual was not keen to other males unless they were a female with a nice rack . Not being privy to the concept of one man introducing another man as he saw it a sign of something to the words of those in silence having something to hide. "Hrmm.." He grunted with flared nostrils. Hands shifted from being folded over his chest to being placed on his hips. "Feldar, y'say?" Not even acknowledging the two that were staring him down, although he felt daggerish eyes upon him. Quite frankly he had all the mind to stop Feldar mid-sentence when he was verbally motioning Allen and Yagrush. The handshake was in turn denied, although there was a slight bit of respect earned by his assertiveness. Instead of shaking his hand he raised a hand to call over the girl that was sweeping up the dust to him. "Oi!" He hollered in her direction.

Oh she was quick. Without hesitating or even showing the slightest bit of it she hurried over to him. "Yessir!?" Being silenced by a raised finger he adjusted to invite Feldar outside. "The Sovereign clouds are returning against." What was so special about those clouds? They seemed far too ominous. Should Feldar accept the invitation to step outside a moment he'd quickly say to his female companion. "You watch these two." Casting a stern glare of suspicion toward Allen and Yagrush.

She nodded in silence, even gulping to stay her nerves before raising her broom and shouting. "We need to get this place tidied up!" Even though most of everything was virtually spotless. Yagrush continued to focus on the owner's presence in his obvious silence, meanwhile Allen raised a finger to order another round of mead.

If invite is accepted

He'd walk side by side with Feldar, not saying another word until having left the tavern, allowing him to go first before exiting with a closed door. "Let's take a gander at these clouds, eh?" In the corner of the owner's eye he noticed the wagon still not having moved. The same wagon he had been eyeing for a while prior when his employee barged outside, but gave it no second thought. Taking a few paces away from the wooden establishment he'd speak with turning over of topic. "I don't like those two fiends you've brought with you. Quite frankly I invited you out here because I don't trust'em. I don't trust you. But you don't seem to have anything to threaten me with so at least I know I will be able to crush you should you prove me a threat." Normally he would have laughed after making such a joke, but he was by no means joking. "I don't know you. I don't want to know you." Squinting a little bit in observation of the looming clouds.

With almost no time for a response to be laid out by Feldar a shrilling shriek came from the tavern that immediately yanked the owner's attention to the door. Upon entry the two gentlemen would find something beyond the norm. A crystal, much like the one previous had been formed. Allen at the time of entry would be seen gulping down the mead he ordered while Yagrush held tight to one of the girl's wrists as she was gradually being consumed by crystal. Allen, after finishing the tankard of mead slammed it down onto the sturdy wooden table and spoke in an unsatisfied voice. "I don't like you. That soul you have. It screams, shout sand roars at us!" There was a crazed look in his eye. "We were hoping to rid of this one." Referring to Feldar. "Without a fuss, but you!" Allen began pacing toward both the owner and Feldar. "Simon.." Was the last word that slipped from the girl's mouth as the crystal consumed the remainder of her body, eyes locked directly with the owner's. It was the more meek girl. The one whom granted Feldar and 'friends' the tip on how to behave with the owner.

Simon at this point laced his fingers together and cracked his knuckles. "I thought I smelled something sinister." Were his words with lips curled into a smirk. The more lively girl could be heard simpering behind the corner, repeating. "This can't be happening. This can't be happening." It was apparent she was in complete hysterics over the loss of her closest friend. Simon moved toward Allen, shifting his gaze back and forth between Allen and Yagrush. Yagrush at the time was caressing the newly formed crystalline prison that was rapidly draining away the woman's life with a look of sheer ecstasy. Blue veins began to pollute across Allen's face the closer he came to Simon as he too paced toward the other. "This tavern was meant to be a safe haven from your hellish kind!" Rearing his mighty fist back just as Allen did the same, both adjusting their bodies to allow the fullest force their anatomies could muster and fists were sent to collide. The collision was almost ear shattering; like having a gun being shot off next to your ear! There was one initial burst of energies from the two that was enough to distort all the furnishings once situated.

Mind you, the mystic volumes that exploded by this were enough to shatter the crystal prison that encased the more meek female. The once young, plump and prime body had become old with wrinkles curling across once smoothe skin. Skin spots had developed here and there and hair went from a brilliant, sapphire blue to a decayed grey. In a matter of moments young had become old. Yagrush was left with an expression of shock and awe that only turned to anger with a look so ferocious it could figuratively pierce the toughest stone aimed towards Simon.

Upon the collision of both fists something marvelous happened. Although no light shone from the sort of magicks that were being forced into each other, the volume of Simon's was a splendor. From his feet on into his fist were wires of fluid energy being poured into this pour. These ethereal wires were transparent save for their color and hue. The look that swept across Allen's face was one of almost horror as anyone in the tavern could see what was becoming of the once valiant seeming man. Face and hair turning a complete blue, but the crystalline encasing energies that were meant for Simon were being forced back upon Allen himself! STarting from the point of contact where the two had their fists bouting for dominance until Allen's entire arm was consumed. This was the moment. Another force of the fist caused the crystallized arm to shatter. The momentum behind the once stilled force allowed fluid movement from following the downward influence of it by stepping forward with the opposite foot and forcing that momentum into a left hook across the stunned Allen. The impact was not the cause of what came next.

Allen's jaw turned to dust being ripped from his face in agony. It hit the floor with a noticeable thud, but was soon nothing by the turbulence of the bout having swept the dust particles to scatter. Pained screams left the jawless Allen as Yagrush was quick to come to his side. Yagrush was also about to challenge this man who now stood towering over them with a look so stern that it could be said to judge the souls of the damned. They retreated. Making haste toward one of the windows to leap through it with a *CRASH!* and slink away into the woodlands.

Behind the counter the girl peeked over the counter top to see her friend, now old and decrepit laying on the floor barely breathing, but alive.

[X][Excluding]Pursing his lips together, Simon took steps off to the side to grab up one of the strewn stools and take a seat, holding his head in great grievance. "The Svar." He said in heavy sigh.[X]

In the background the weeping of the girl could be heard in mourning for her friend's health.

If the invite was NOT accepted, however..

The owner looked upon Feldar with a bit of grief before looking to acknowledge the two sitting at the counter in idle suspense. "What about my tavern?" He'd ask with eyes locked onto the other two. The coming darkness of the Sovereign clouds did not falter him in the slightest. Very much use to being this close to the mountain's ridges during such a time as this, he appeared to be fairly knowledgable. An asset that could be utilized if keyed upon properly. Even still the handshake was denied in retrospect to his dislike of new faces, but Feldar's open show of respect was a step in the right direction.

"Built it a few years back." Finally removing his aided gaze of glasses from Allen and Yagrush to return it to Feldar. "I thought Haven would be quite the place for it and as it turns out. Business is booming!" There was definitely some excitement in his voice as he spoke of this establishment. "Ahh, yes. This place is my pride and joy.! Would you like to know the kind of wood I used to build it!?" The look on his face seemed to liven up the more he talked about this tavern. like a father with a new born, proud to speak such positive things he could ramble on were it not for the more meek girl coming up to the two conversating men and offering them a seat. "Hm-hm! Agreed, Mel!" There was approval in his tone by this motion. "Aye'. What say we sit elsewhere?"" Imposing the request upon Feldar although he did not wait for any motion of Yay or Nay. He insisted. Slamming his hand into Feldar's back to imply he really meant elsewhere. Away from Allen and Yagrush. Mel followed in the meantime. The table and seating chosen was not too far from Allen and Yagrush, but was well enough. Mel even moved quickly to pull out both stools for her employer and Feldar. "Here you go." Saying in a soft-ish voice. "Could I get you two anything?" The owner taking a seat nodded and spouted out. "The usual." Mel nodded in glee. "And you?" Turning to Feldar with a very slight rose blush to her cheeks.
Feldar Verdince (played anonymously)

Feldar almost winced when the man denied his hand shake as it wasn't expected for something to happen. The only thoughts that rung in his head for the moment was if he did something wrong or not. Though, that hadn't lasted all to long and instead his mind switched topics relatively fast. Feldar watched as the man called over a woman who was sweeping and lifted an eyebrow. Feldar wasn't one to be confused often but, he didn't truly understand what was occurring.

Invitation Accepted

Feldar looked around him as he was walking towards the exit with the manager of this establishment. "Gander at th... wait, what? Sir, I'm fairly confused why we would come ou..." He was cut off as soon as the two of them had stopped outside as the man began to speak of Yagrush and Allen.

Feldar hadn't really had the time to respond to what the man was laying down. "Sir, I don't think you truly understand! I just made my acquaintance with those tw..." Feldar was speaking over the manager trying not to allow him to get mixed up with two outsiders. Feldar didn't want any bad reputations sprouting over him on his journey.

The conversation was quickly cut short however as a shriek burst out from the tavern. It was loud enough that Feldar had actually jumped slightly when he had heard it. Feldar wasn't short behind the owner on returning to the interior of the building. Feldar's attention had immediately jumped to those who were afraid and in a panic. Feldar reacted quickly almost having a form of tunnel vision to assist those around him.

Feldar immediately moved over to the woman who was in a panic. "Hey, calm yourself down. Snap out of it. You won't be harmed by th..." The loud collision from the Manager and Allen had Feldar quickly covering his ears almost immediately. What on Earth is going on? My ears...This sound? Feldar pulled himself back from the woman and peered over the counter. Feldar had reacted quick enough for the initial burst of energy to rear his head back in quick and violent motion.

Feldar toppled over behind the counter with an apparent whiplash from the sudden jerking motion of his head. Feldar had gripped his head with one hand as he pulled himself back up to his feet. The whole world was basically spinning for Feldar and he almost was unaware of what occurred at that moment. He saw Allen's jaw be disintegrated upon contact with the mangers fist from his view.

Feldar noticed that Yagrush had stepped up to seemingly challenge the manager now. It was apparent that Yagrush had serious second thoughts about engaging the man. Feldar had still been dizzy when he noticed that Yagrush and Allen were making a break for it. What was Feldar to do in a state like this... He couldn't allow them to escape after causing such pain. All or nothing I suppose! Here goes everything I got! It was in that moment Feldar pulled out the crystalized fragments he had taken earlier from his pocket.

"Get down, NOW!" Feldar had shouted as loud as he could for the manager to notice. Feldar whipped his arm back quickly gripping the crystalized fragment tightly in his hand. Feldar put torque into his hips and thrusted his arm forward with the increased speed from his rotation. At the peak of the height Feldar let go of the crystal at almost the perfect time to give it great momentum. Feldar had aimed ahead of where the two of them were running... The window! This way even if he were to miss it wouldn't put the manager in harms way.

Although, as the crystal fragment was flying through the air... it happened to fragment giving a greater spread to the throw. By this point Feldar was glad that he gave out the warning as he wasn't to sure what would happen. Luckily the two men were running away from everyone so it wouldn't be easy to hit someone else with it.

Korr Halafar (played by MugiWarin)

Korr stood there with no expression on his face as Valos impaled the man with the blade. He felt almost nothing as he saw the drunk attempt to breathe. The gasps for life caused blood to spurt forward getting a small amount of it on Korr's face . He wiped it off and said "thank you, you did a good job executing the task at hand." as he climbed into the back of the wagon after the body he couldn't help but think to himself it never goes the easy way does it?.

Korr patted down the former merchant and felt a bump around his chest. upon further inspection he found the key to be stitched into the mans attire. Korr tore the key from the corpse's clothes and tried it on the chests that surrounded him. After three failed attempts Korr finally found the chest the fit the key.

As he opened the chest Korr hoped he would find gold and gems or perhaps some sort of armor. Upon lifting the lid and seeing what was inside he called over Valos and showed him its contents. He said "i would prefer this one, but since you got your hands dirty i will give you first pick." He held up the third attire just as he heard the boom from the tavern. "Should we check that out?" Korr asked almost cutting off Valos' first response.
Valos Morpheo (played by Bryaphite)

Not really paying attention, Valos grabbed the second attire as he heard the explosion. Valos lifted his gnarled, wooden staff from the floor of the merchant's wagon, grasping it with both hands.

"Definitely," Valos responds, hopping down from the covered wagon's shelter and quickly, as well as somewhat cautiously approached the tavern, the screams and other sounds of combat emanating from it causing his blood to boil with anticipation.

From his angle, he saw Yagrush and Allen running for their lives towards the window. He didn't know their cause, although they appeared to be losing whatever battle they had fought. Valos figured he would be in the Victorious's good graces, should Valos prevent their foes' escape.

Sprinting forth, Valos hefted his stout staff, intending to use it as a club, and bashing in the head of the first man to jump through the window. He didn't realize he was in the area of effect of the crystal Feldar had thrown.

Their movements were swift. Liquid, even, for someone as injured as Allen was who was leaving a trail of dust in place of blood in his wake. Simon stood victorious. Mana still whirling around his clenched fists visibly with a look powerful enough to move a mountain etched into his gaze. Only when Feldar shouted to get down did he snap too to see Feldar hurling a moderately sized fragment in the coming path of the two assailants. {Success} Unfortunate for the young mute, the fragment plunged into his left arm causing dust to plume from the point of entry. This infuriated him. Blue veins pulsated across his face as he glared in Feldar's direction, into his eyes, but this was not the time to stay and fight with Simon there. Upon the two individuals escaping through the window. Allen was first, leaping up and through the window pane that let out a loud *CRASH* breaking the way open for Yagrush to follow close behind.

Up and out, Allen went followed by Yagrush only to both be met with a swing of quite the blunt object. Allen kicked away with adrenaline influenced reflexes, allowing him to escape without looking back. {CHAIN} Yagrush, however was clocked quite brutally on the head. Much so, that the staff broke in two. The <SNAP> of the material was not shy in the slightest bit. Yagrush came down into the dirt face first, stunned from the unforeseen blow. {/null shatter roll} The long haired mute laid there in the dirt without a motion. The snap, however yanked Simon's attention to wonder what exactly was outside. Being the first to approach the window giving a quick word of thanks to Feldar. "Y'did good." What he saw was beyond his assumption. The two that were stalking that drunken merchant. "What're you two doing over here?" This only by assumption that Korr followed Valos. Simon's voice was hefted by question and doubt that they were up to any real good.

Today was full of surprises. Averting hazed sight aided by glasses down toward the ground his eyes widened just brief. "Well, well. Y'done did'im in good for a couple o' punks." In his own way it was a compliment. Straightening himself from leaning over the windowsill he heaved a breath as his attention turned toward his two companions. "I don't know what I'm gonna do about this yet. First thing's first. We need to detain that Yag-whoever-fellow 'fore he wakes up." Nodding in self agreement. Any words Valos or Korr may have said to Simon will fall on deaf ears. There were knocks on the door and calls to see if everything was alright inside. No one had yet noticed what was going on at the side of the tavern. "I'm busy, dangit!" Shouting toward the door as he allowed one of his arms to laze outside of the window with fingers tensed in a focused grab motion toward Yagrush.

Veins began to protrude from the forearm until finally a green transparent cocoon enveloped Yagrush's body. "Ooo. He's a heavy fellow." There was a slight bit of strain in his voice that he'd laugh off. "Heee. Old age isn't as fun as I thought." Yagrush's body was being lifted from the ground and back into the window. "We needa chain this one up." Slinging the loose body over his shoulder as he made his way to the door. Simon was a brunt old man, but he had his ways of keeping discreet about his identity and capabilities. "Help'em in through the window, Feldar and y'all follow me when yer done." Speaking during the approach to the door of the tavern. There was a crowd gathering that needed tending to. With a few shouts and assurance of everything being under control he used Yagrush as a literal excuse, saying that he was a ruffian that was up to no good. Grabbing him by the hair to raise the head and display his face to the gathering folks. Again, Simon noticed the merchant's wagon still in place only confirming that the two men; Korr and Valos, he is allowing into his tavern are both criminals.

The hype was ended as quickly as he opened the door and closed it. Moving to a door that was offset to the building's design. As if there was to be a room there, but instead was a very narrow stairwell. "Bring her with you." Calling to the wallowing female that had yet to cease crying over her aged associate. Whether or not she'd comply was hard to say, but possibly some further coaxing would assist that she and her companion follow.

The stairwell was warm. The scent of mold and moss was powerful enough to sting the senses of almost anyone, but dare they press on will find something amazing. Lit by a candles that sparked to life the instant this peculiar individual entered the proximity and a light as beautiful as a summer's day shining through from window panes and yet they were under ground. To any that follow he spoke aloud in this echoing chamber. "You have witnessed an isolated war." Beginning just as Yagrush was tossed in the very center of the chamber upon the circular design. The moment his physical body touched the design it was black with few traces of light within its abyss. Yagrush still had not yet awoken and Simon positioned himself before one of the books on their old stands. "I am the last surviving Mage."

Just when these words were spoken the door leading to the stairwell slammed shut no matter who followed or not. Black ephemeral limbs crept along his body to slowly drag him down into the depths of the darkness. Body submerged save for his head, skin turned blue and eyes a deep purple. The true face of a Sver.

[Atmospheric Music post door closing]

Should anyone still be on the surface...

The merchant's wagon having been there for some time began to rouse suspicion. Not having moved in so long and the drunken merchant no where to be found. The seams that were between the wooden door; the opening into the wagon, and the floor of the wagon had pooled entirely with blood and began to leak through. A pair of curious travelers approached the wagon with weapons drawn calling out for anyone who may still be inside. "Hello!? Is there anyone inside here!?" Their voices filled the town of Haven.

A second murder within the boundaries of Haven? People were beginning to be skeptical of who it was they could trust and not trust amongst their already neutral opinions of one another. To say it was one or another would mean to accuse thy neighbor and hence thy neighbor's neighbor. This murder was sure to have a negative blowback on how the people of Haven will treat one another. Suspicion. Suspect. A fight had already broken out between two once very close friends. "I bet you did it!" -- "What do you mean I did it!? I bet YOU are plotting to kill me!!" Weapons were drawn and friends... the closest of friends fought until their utter demise. Body's were looted by the masses until naked corpses laid bare bottoms up to the sky.

This was the perfect time to reek even more havoc upon the people of Haven.

Sometimes a Haven just is not as safe as people would think...

Feldar Verdince (played anonymously)

Feldar had watched as the two had escaped through the window... Only to be followed by the sound of a loud snap. Feldar looked over to Simon and nodded as he followed to observe what occurred outside. Feldar took in every bit of detail with what was occurring around him. He understood the situation and did his best to help.

Feldar looked at Simon as he mentioned to bring the woman. He did almost a double take trying to figure out why but he paid it no mind. "Alright, I'll work on that I suppose. I'll meet you down there shortly." Feldar broke off from the group to approach the woman and her now rather aged associate. Feldar kneeled down next to the two of them.

"Hey, you two doing alright over here?" Feldar looked at the two of them to try and get a better idea how to handle the situation. Feldar was almost speechless about how to even approach this situation carefully. "Don't... ummm, How do I even approach something like this." Feldar had mumbled under his breath. Feldar scratched the top of his head trying to think through the situation. "Hey, Listen... The Manager wanted you two to come with us. I can't promise you two anything... but I will do my best to find a way to fix this."

Feldar's words would seem to be full of promise yet... in the back of his mind he wasn't really sure how to fix something like this. If anything it could likely be permanent and there could be no cure. He looked at the two of them again and let out a long sigh. "I'm sorry that I hadn't noticed anything about the two of them earlier... I feel almost as if this is my fault. Therefore, I'll do my best to make it up to the both of you." At the very least those words were genuine from Feldar. At the very least Feldar hoped that him being nice to them earlier would pay off here.

Feldar had offered the two of them a hand as he stood up. He hoped at the very least that they would follow him to where Simon wandered off too.

{Afterwards - Inside the depths with or without the two.}

Feldar had been quite far behind the others who were more than likely already following Simon. Any likely explanation that Simon had put out was not heard by Feldar as he came down the stairs only a minute or two after they had. He wasn't exactly sure where he was heading but the area sure was cramped. Behind Feldar the door slammed shut on Feldar's cloak taking him by surprise.

Feldar had been walking forward when the cloak had gotten caught behind him. The sudden tug backwards caused Feldar to lose his footing and tumble down the entire stair well. His Cloak had torn apart where it had gotten caught and wasn't enough to stop Feldar's quick decent.

It was likely that Feldar would be heard coming down the stairs in a loud manner. Especially considering that he had fallen from nearly the top of the stair well. Feldar had just curled up as he fell realizing that this was not the best or most opportune time to fall. The fall was likely to be extremely painful considering he had fallen from the very top of the stair well.

"I"m doing fine," Valos spoke as he did a quick scan of the room to see if either Yagrush or Allen, had dropped any of their weapons during the skirmish. If they had, Valos would retrieve whatever weapons were available and follow Simon.

Shortly after entering the stairwell, Valos heard Feldar tumble down the stairs; however Valos made a mental note to be very careful where he placed feet as he inwardly smirked.

Valos entered the incredible room, brow raised in mild awe. He listened carefully as Simon spoke, intrigue in his amber eyes.

"And what exactly does being the last Mage entail?"

Unforgiven (played anonymously)

The Ranger was a foreign face to Haven. Given the bestial nature of some of her features, she was clad for the time being within a shrouding orbansa, a thick cloak that when worn to its fullest, concealed all but her eyes, nose and mouth from view. While ordinarily most more desperate for coin were willing and able to look past what she was, civilians and those not familiar with her profession, less so. Travelling by foot where winged flight would be too easily sighted, it was the merchant's wagon that the archer came to first. Both 'brows rose under the partial concealment, and her nostrils flared sharply as the acrid, metallic scent of blood reached her nostrils. The stronger scent of blood from the suspicion-fuelled quarrelling going on in the town further carried on the wind, and her tail flicked nervously near-completely underneath the woollen cover.

"What is going on here?" That asked, of the first (sane) individual that happened past within range of hearing her voice, that held a heavy accent but not so much to thankfully obscure the words. Picking through the bodies, nose wrinkled up. There was no temptation to rob those that laid bared, nor the bodies that had not yet been plundered to the fullest.
Jack (played by Libertine)

Among the many faces in the tavern that morning had been a woman- or was it?- of peculiar characteristics. The first feature to typically be noticed was her skin, which was tan with splotches of cream coloration. While many mistook this for some sort of disease, or perhaps even a sign of magical mishap, it was merely an uncommon skin condition. Her red hair was shaved short, but allowed to grow a little longer down the center. The character's body was lanky and lacking significant curvature. Clad in no more than leather boots, baggy brown pants, and a dingy (once white) top without sleeves, she was clearly not one of wealth. For the majority of that morning, her amber eyes had been locked on a certain merchant.

Jack was waiting for something- specifically, for his senses to be dulled by drink. Her stare was almost predatory as she watched him guzzle his ale. As she became quite certain that he was hardly capable of walking a straight line, let alone chasing a thief, she would stand to collect her things. These were carried within an unassuming burlap sack, the contents of which she rifled through before slinging it over her shoulder. It was then that the weary traveler entered. Jack scowled and shifted uncomfortably. He was drawing too much attention to the door, so a swift exit was out of the question just yet. When the poor fellow was reduced to a pile of crystals, she blanched and shot an alarmed look towards her emptied bottle, questioning its contents. But the place was too riled up now to note that she hadn't paid for it. So she took her leave, hurrying outside to where the merchant's wagon sat.

Jack had climbed inside of the back, and by the time she heard the man's voice by the front wheel, she had spent several minutes fruitlessly attempting to pick the locks of his numerous chests. She bared her teeth and mouthed a curse. Returning the two metal picks to her bag, she slipped out and rolled beneath the wagon, hidden from sight before Valos and Korr could come around the side. It was then that she saw the body. Her eyes widened and her heart began to race. She hadn't the sentimentality to care that he'd been killed, no... her fear lied in the fact that she might be blamed for this! Jack's mind raced as she wondered whether or not someone had seen her enter the wagon, and questioned if it would be wise to slip away just yet. Her reputation was plenty tarnished elsewhere for petty thievery. But murder was not her forte, so for some time, she would simply stay beneath the shadows and behind the wheels. The faces of the killers were committed to memory. Perhaps she could blackmail them later on, or if it came down to it, give their descriptions to save her own hide.

The many murders of panicked peasants were witnessed in utter silence. Jack would simply sit, unmoved by the fatal squabbles, feeling a tad disturbed but not at all surprised. She had seen paranoia lead to this degree of violence before. Once all had died down, she finally came out of hiding, and would immediately proceed to poke around the battleground for anything left of value. Her stance became rigid as Unforgiven approached. The rogue quickly donned a feigned look of distress. "Oh, it was awful, miss," she called in response. "Couple'a folks were murdered this morning, and these poor people were so panicked that they started offing each other." The fake sadness was broken by a small snort. "Kind of ironic," Jack added, justifying her laugh. "But I didn't have nothing to do with it...."
Igneous looked around at the trees and rocks as he walked through the forest. He examined his clothes once more. They were simple clothes, simply a lightly dyed tunic and pants. He had a satchel made of cloth, which held various berries and other supplies, such as rocks, dried straw, and other useful things that could be found in nature. He also had a traveling stick, a simple tree branch that had the sticks broken off. He wore a cobalt blue scarf around his neck, pulled up over his mouth, stitched with golden letters, "Igneous Meteos". It was the only possession of personal value he had. As he made his way to the town of Haven through the forest, he began to hear rather loud screams and other rioting. He hurried his pace towards the noises.

He saw a woman (He thought) and a cloaked individual talking near the outskirts of the town. He slowly approached them, cracking sticks and such to make sure that he did not startle them, and possibly to prevent them from killing him. Upon further inspection however, they seemed to be motioning towards the insane people, so they were probably not insane themselves. He circled around into their line of view and bowed a small bit. "Hello." He said to the duo.
The Dungeoneer (played anonymously) Topic Starter

Feldar's attempt to persuade the two women succeeded not. While the one of young appearance wept, she swung at Feldar shouting that he leave them be. Shame. Something good possibly could have came of it should the decision been otherwise. The now elderly one looked up to Feldar from the ground, slowly being dragged back into consciousness. It was too late for her [Due to 100] that she gave Feldar a gruesome frown, but no words left those decrepit lips. She was angry. The sorrow was overwhelming that her life had changed in an instant. If anything she blamed Feldar for her current predicament. There was nothing left for her. Her body had aged far too quickly for her to adapt that she cursed Feldar with her last... dying breath as he walked away to follow Simon.

Just before the door had slammed shut, Feldar would have been able to hear the sudden burst of crying. The scream was chilling to the spine as she wept harder than ever to see her best friend pass away before her very eyes. Shaking the still warm corpse as if this was going to wake her up, but her friend's head moved with no resistance or sign of life. Face beet red, snot flowing free from her nose she heaved a cry of mourned death. She too, cursed Feldar at the top of her lungs. So loud that even those
outside were able to hear the ruckus from behind closed tavern doors. To those that dare enter out of curiosity will see the wrecked tavern from the previous collision and the sight of a young maiden holding an elderly woman in her arms rocking back and forth quickly.

There was no memorable merit in Feldar's favor that he attempted to assist Simon. Only hate and disgust. Associating Feldar's face to those two Sver that were the cause of her friend's death. Here. On this day. She swore blind and ignorant vengeance.

Valos.. found nothing weapon worthy among the rubble and strewn debris.

An interesting question to start off this 'session'. "What does it entail?" At first Simon's tone held a bit of joyous wonder to it, but it soon became grim with the following response. "It means the War of Sovereign was lost." Briefly after having made such a vague statement the sound of Feldar's land rung through the hollowed chamber with such.. pain sounding that even Simon 's back ached a little. "Poor guy." There was a smirk to his lips as he rubbed the back of his head. "Got much spunk and spirit." Raising judgemental eyes upon Valos. "You, though. You and that other punk, upstairs."

"I don't like you very much nor do I trust you, but there must be balance in everything thus you are needed." The word 'Needed' came out in a sort of way that it could be said it almost stabbed his own spirit that he was going to go through the coming events. Fortunately for Feldar he was not injured in the slightest despite the painful sounding descent into the *THUD* which spares wasted effort to have him needing to recuperate. "The Sver have resurfaced." Waiting for Feldar to attend the large circular dome-like library. "The Sver are creatures of Null Mana --possibly most commonly known as Void Magics." Holding up two hands in fists for both to see he spoke more. "To every ounce of Mana there is Void. These two split off into many derivatives. Too many for me to name them, however if I had to categorize them. There are four quadrants to their realms as a whole." There was a pause in his words. Yagrush had begun to stir. Frowning some, Simon continued, lowering his mighty fists onto the book in front of him placed on the stand. "To summarize it. Both sides have a Benevolence and a Malevolence. Obviously." Extending his left hand as though Yagrush was their demonstration. "The Malevolence is prominent in the Void."

Further explaining. "There can not be a sole one of any alignment within one category. The Benevolence cannot be the sole of Mana and the same goes for Void." Taking off his glasses, looking down upon them with squinted eyes. "I, as the 'Last Mage' have only preserved this balance by melding the spirit of the most Malevolent Mana caster in all of Edyn into these glasses." Figuring it would be better to give them both a crash course in the history of it all with what was just said. "So I use the term 'Last' fairly loose." Raising a finger. "To the point!" Almost giving no time for questions. "The rise of the Sver can only mean that they are mobilizing again. How many there are? I don't know, but it is time I taught you both how to utilize the Mana to your affinity. It will start off as something simple as your spirit will need to adapt to the influx, but over time you may become stronger.--" He paused. Lips parted and eyes adrift in another direction before abrupting his own silence. "May." Yagrush had come to full senses and began to thrash his head about.

"This chamber is one of attunement." Placing hand on chin to impose the poise of thought. "Never thought I'd have to use this so soon." Simon was moving so quickly in what he was saying he could only hope the two were grasping what was being said. Pointing at both of them. "You will balance each other out." There had to have been a reason Valos of all the low-end scum was chosen. Yes, there was, but Simon; even if asked, will refuse to answer and abruptly tell whomever asked to 'PIPE THE HELL DOWN!', before returning to the climax of all this. "All of the runes and reagents that are needed to make this transcendence possible are in this room. The materials that make each page. Some of the words and sequences of those words line some of the books." Finally he seemed to quiet down. Oddly enough, Yagrush had ceased his thrashing and adjusted himself to eyeball Simon down. Those wordless lips never speaking a word. Throat never grunting a rumble or even a grumble. Simon.. paced himself over to Yagrush and knelt down. Now was the perfect time to ask something.. just not about why Valos was chosen to be the Malevolence to Feldar's Benevolence.

Topside, during the aftermath of the chaos which took place. Bodies were being looted and some murders were still going on. Some people banded together to make a Bandit Alliance known as Bandit Wraiths. There was something else that came of this. A meeting of a peculiar list of persons it may seem. Upon their meeting the clouds above Sovereign had begun to disperse. The moments of eerie ambient silence beyond the sounds of carnage were lifted. Where shadow had once crept over now was becoming sunny. From a deep greyish blue hue to a vibrant decor of blood, death and post-mayhem. Brilliant crimson painted pale dead faces, soaked once fresh clean clothes and even dirty and riddled ones.

This was the new face of Haven. Yes, there were some people who still saw Haven as a home that were trying to drag the dead into piles, but there were also still those with sinister intent running about also. There were even those that were packing up to begin migrating. "There goes Haven." One man said as he shook his head in disappointment. "It would probably be better to head over toward Precious. I hear they have a rising market over that way." These words were quickly rebuttled. "I'd sooner head all the way out Northwest to Forget or even join the new bandit guild that formed in the chaos" The Wraith's Bandits" Another was quick to chime in. "I don't know fella's. Why don't we go to someplace stable? Like Koorva?" The three men stood aloof to the huddled corpses and argued aloud audible for anyone to hear." Sadly enough the idea of Koorva was shot down from the well known fact the village of Esterwyn is isolated by the woodland barrier.

Feldar Verdince (played anonymously)

Feldar entered the large circular dome looking worn down and tired. After all Feldar hadn't been in Haven for more then a day or two with little rest. His travels from West Guard had been long and brutal on its own. For a long trip like that to be accompanied by something like this had to be sheer bad luck. Perhaps this was something that would aid Feldar in his cause and goals... something like that was yet to be determined though.

Feldar listened as closely as he could under such conditions. The words speaking of the Sver and mana nearly passed over his head. Feldar had a basic understanding of some of these things but it wasn't enough to truly understand what Simon spoke of. To Feldar, before this moment he thought of it as only rumors and over exaggerated truths. Alas, that seemed to be false as he continued to listen to Simon.

Feldar's eyes narrowed at Simon as he spoke about becoming stronger. Something like this was indeed on Feldar's agenda and for an opportunity to show itself... was rare. Feldar yearned for a chance to become stronger and grasp the small desires that he could. There wasn't many times Feldar would put himself above others. Normally, a life devoted to others wouldn't break such a cycle but Feldar decided to choose otherwise. If anything he thought that with this he could help more people in the end of it all. That is if he made it that long to begin with.

"So, Manager? I do have a question about something like this. I understand that something like this will normally take time, correct?" Feldar stopped speaking for a moment before kneeling before Yagrush keeping a decent distance.

"In the end all that remains is chaos if the balance is swayed. Whether the balance is swayed towards good or evil... all that remains would be chaos from either side. Would I be correct in taking such an assumption to heart? After all if one side out ways another, that side takes it upon itself to remove the other." Feldar narrowed his eyes at Yagrush while speaking aloud.

"So, the roles become switched in this aspect. One who was once encumbered by Benevolence takes the role of Malevolence and tries to remove that which was once Malevolence. Or rather in the end of this outcome neither side retains or has anything good left. Both sides fall and succumb to the evil which resides in all. With this in mind..." Feldar became silent and stared at the area which Yagrush was stationary.

Feldar's gaze staying upon Yagrush would be sign for minor concern. The gaze held no feelings within it and instead was completely empty. I wonder... I truly wonder if this is better or not. It took Feldar a moment to process what he would conclude with. "Manager? Would it not be better to become solely neutral? I wonder if this is possible... But, giving up all possibilities of feeling would create such a state, would it not? If what you say is true... Would it not be better to follow a path like this instead?"
Valos Morpheo (played by Bryaphite)

Valos looked at Feldar, chuckling.

"Do you honestly believe you have the control necessary to eliminate all of your emotions? Furthermore, who are either of to decide what's right or wrong?" Valos gestured to Simon as well when he spoke these words in particular, "If balance is necessary, then it requires for both sides to have an equal amount of both malevolence and benevolence, If I have to fill one role, so be it."

Valos was excited at the prospect of becoming more powerful, his inner vision marveling at the wreckage of the inn that merely 3 men imbued with this incredible power had caused.
Jack (played by Libertine)

Upon hearing Igneous' approach, Jack stepped away from the body she had been looting and squinted into the treeline. He was given a suspicious stare as he drew near. Her nose wrinkled when he bowed, as she wasn't one for fanciful customs, and his pleasant greeting was scoffed at as if the idea of simply saying "hello" was absurd. "What d'you want?" the ruffian replied promptly. "I don't know you." Given that the odd woman was walking away and this newcomer didn't appear to be a threat, she knelt by the body again and resumed rummaging through its pockets. Should she find anything of use (or interest), it would promptly be put into the burlap satchel that was slung over her shoulder.

The chatter going on not too far away distracted her, and Jack paused to lend an ear to the debaters. "Bandit guild?" she repeated at a murmur, grinning to herself and shaking her head. Working in groups was trouble. It was easier to draw attention to yourselves, and be wiped out as a whole... but then again, a group could accomplish bigger and better heists. She would continue to eavesdrop, unless of course Igneous had something to say.

Igneous turned to look at the robed figure turn away. He called out after them, "May your travels be free of conflict." He looked towards Jack as s/he continued to rummage through a body. "One should not go as far to loot a dead man's corpse without properly respecting them first." He said. He bent down and touched the man's forehead and murmured something and got up again. "It is rude not to introduce oneself when the other party introduces themselves." He turned and looked at what was going on around in the town. "Shame how fear and deceit can make humans act this way. What of you? What brings you here?" He asked Jack.
