By The Nine!
Mwh7w.jpg
It's 3E 436, Three years after the Oblivion Invasion. Martin Septim has disappeared from Tamriel. Mannimarco, King of Worms has been slain. The Knights of the Nine have been reformed. Sheogorath has been replaced from his Madgod title . Corvus Umbranox, otherwise known as The Gray Fox, has returned from a ten year disappearance.

But only one question still remains. What will happen to the empire? Chancellor Ocato and the Elder Council are tasked with the choice of crowning a new family, while dealing with the pressures and threats from Anvil, Skingrad, Chorrol, Cheydinhal, Bravil, Leyawin, and Bruma.

The Cities are in Trouble!

Leyawiin is facing beseechment from Black Marsh. With no help from the neighboring counties, The Fighters Guild took it as their sole responsibility that Cyrodiil does not lose Leyawin. Many suspect chapters of The Blackwood Company are aiding in the siege. Because of the rising conflicts of possible war against Black Marsh, The Count and Countess have fled the city and only select few within the Fighter's Guild know of their location. It seems to Countess Alessia Caro's views with the race of beastfolk has taken hold; many of the Argonians left in Leyawiin have either been removed from the city, fleeing into the Black Marsh, or worse come to worse, tortured and killed due to the stigmas of others.

Bravil is facing a nasty drug problem involving Skooma. With no leads to how the drug is being smuggled into Bravil, more and more are becomming addicted to the substance, mainly Khajiit, as they are attracted by it's sweet taste. Drug Lords from Elsweyr, especially one Khajit known as R'ihdarji, have swarmed the location and due to the forever constant lack of interest from the Count, it is obvious that the people of Bravil will soon have to either submit to R'ihdarji's reign or take arms to fend for themselves.

Skingrad is under martial law, by orders of Janus Hassildor. With the death of his wife, Rona Hasildor and the clearing of Bloodcrust Cavern, he formed a coven and plots to form a new nation, Skingrad being it's capitol. The Mage's Guild went against Hasildor's actions, as Hasildor has ties to the Mage's guild. This formed a backlash in the guild, many breaking off to help the Vampire, as many who broke off when Necromancy was banned. Gossip and tales are starting to swim about in the open air of Count Hassildor now obtaining help from The Dark Brotherhood in hopes to search for a mysterious and legendary weapon that would assist him in creating his new nation.

Anvil is becoming more and more hostile to inhabit, as more and more pirates from Hammerfell and Summerset Isle raid the port city. With the Fighters guild shifted towards Leyawin, the city guard is on it's knees, even going as far as hiring local Mauraders from local forts, to hiring bandits who ransack Anvil's traders. Chaos seems to reign high here as many of Anvil's citizens now flee to the abandoned city known as Kavatch in hopes to find sanctuary.

Bruma, like Leyawin, is facing a seige from the Nords of Skyrim. Captain Burd, approached by King Thian, the king of solitude. Using Burd as a foothole, he plans on replacing the Imperial guards with Nord guards, eliminating any Imperial or other racial presence. When their numbers grow weak, the Nords plan on taking Bruma by force, from the Jerall Mountains.

The Imperial City is facing a plague, from it's increasing number of poverty, illnesses of all sorts are becoming rampant. Blood lung, Chills, Scalon fever, Witless pox, and Helljoint have grown common. A two in four chance. A state of emergency has been declared by Ocato, and healers of all sorts were hired to assess the situation. The last few Mages that have broken their oath from Hassildor have made themselves useful at the Arcane University as a main fort in hopes to find cures, providing medicine, and healing the sick as best as they can.

Chorrol has been taken over by the residents of Hackdirt. After an anonymous hero managed to infiltrate their territory to save Seed Neus's daughter Dar-Ma, they managed to escape and return to Chorrol. With their sacrifice taken from them, the residents of Hackdirt retaliated by ensuring that their name would be known across the Empire. Their goal; to start a new religion with their Gods known as The Deep Ones. The Countess has been slain and Vlanhonder Moslin has taken the throne as his own. He and his people have taken claim as Chorrol as their own city. The laws are strict, taxes are high, and the people are in need of a hero to save them. Dar-Ma's mother has been sadly slain, she and others escaped after the Raid of Chorrol and have set up a haven and resistance group in Weynon Priory in hopes to take control of their beloved city once more.

Cheydinhal has become a populace for Dunmer. After the death of the Count's son, he became withdrawn, depressed and drunk to the breaking point where he finally took his own life. With no heir to take the throne the brother of Andel Indarys has been sent in from Morrowind to assist in the people's time of need. Yet unlike Andel, Mordyl is nothing like his brother whom was a kind and welcoming Count as well as being part of House Hlaalu, Mordyl still upholds the Morrowind views of slavery and Daedric Worship. With the help of House Dres, Mordyl has made Cheydinhal a Dunmer Pure society where most, if not all, other races are alienated and enslaved by the Dark Elves. Between the Dren Plantation and House Dres, Mordyl has ensured that travelers around Cyrodiil that enter Cheydinhal are quickly taken in, their items removed, and quickly sent off to other provinces, Warlords, and rich Nobles as slaves.

The Guilds
FightersGuildTitle.gifThe Fighter's Guild will and always forever be recruiting as many as they can. Now they're needing as many strong willed lads and lasses willing to fight in their name. With the rising conflicts within Cyrodiil and Ocatato too distracted with his own conflicts, The Fighter's Guild have taken it upon themselves to assist with the aid of all the cities needing help. Most of the members are within Leyawiin in hopes to either stop the siege or practice peace with the Black Marsh Argonians and Blackwood Company being quite a trail for them to handle. The contracts and missions are harder and the results menial, many join for the sake of protection as well as wishing to help their fellows. Nevertheless, Fighter's Guild members are now running back and fourth in small packs, teaming up, and giving serious contracts that involve stopping high level raids on the small villages, and recruiting as many as they possibly can.

MagesGuildTitle.gifThe King of Worms is dead, yet some wish that he was still around compared to the growing menace now harboring within The Mage's Guild. This great Guild that has been a part of Cyrodiil for centuries is now starting to come to end. The enemy? Themselves. With Count Hassildor and his acts of trying to make Skingrad a nation of its own, many saw such acts unruly and barbaric in these times, others saw it as a promising prospect. Conflicts arose and many Mage's Guild members either abandoned the Guild, joined up with Hassildor as his new occult priests, or have fled to the Imperial City to be of use of all the sickness and disease. Some still hold strong as they ally themselves with the Fighter's Guild as healers and use their knowledge to not only ensure that Hassildor ceases with his actions, but also uphold their precious guild.

OB-KotN-PilgrimIcon.jpgNobody knows where they have gone. Many say that The Knights of the Nine have simply left Cyrodiil after their resurrection, yet many more say that these Nine Holy Paladins are simply waiting in hiding, waiting for the final moment to emerge and save Cyrodiil from a final blow that may curb the tides of hell once more. Nevertheless, many a people have lost hope and faith in The Nine and their Holy Knights, spitting their names of scorn while speaking that all their holy deeds and noble acts were in vain. Where are our holy crusaders to save us from our plights? Where are Knights? Why are they hiding in Cyrodiil's up most time of need?

DarkBrotherhood7.gifThe Dark Brotherhood is flourishing. Compared to the other Guilds, they seem to be multiplying in the hundreds with their new recruits of assassins and necromancers searching them out. People are praying to The Night Mother daily and missions are never ending with the long list of assassinations wishing to take place. Yet some see a shadier side within The Dark Brotherhood wishing to expand further now. Of course wishing to stay secret and hidden still, but their new aims seem to revolve heavily around Skingrad, others speaking that many black robed beings have been popping up more and more at night within the very walls.

ThievesGuild7.gifThe Thieve's Guild has become corrupt. With the Gray Fox mysteriously vanished, they have become a corrupt faction that has aligned themselves with the Drug Lords of Bravil and the Pirate Lords in Anvil to ensure that they survive. Now it seems like any regular bandit and highwayman can waltz into the Guild and claim themselves a well endowed thief. With the Waterfront in the Imperial City a desolate location of disease and death, Thieve's Guild has abandoned the beggars, more so killing them, as they run amok doing as they please. Someone needs to put the classic Robbin Hood back into The Thieve's Guild by stealing from the rich and giving back to the poor. Even if it means going against the Dreaded Pirate Lord Orgomok the Bloodthirsty in Anvil.

The Rules
What you thought there weren't going to be any?

Asking how you get in? It's simple. Send me a Private Message with a link to your character and I'll accept.

Character Creation
Character creation must remain within the restricted 10 races that you are able to use. Imperial, Redguard, Orc, Argonian, Khajiit, Nord, Breton, Dumner, Altmer, and Bosmer are the selected races you may use. Any other race may not be accepted. Also, if you really want to get into the theme of your character, read up on their race. Educate yourself on their lore so you have a better understanding of how to flesh out your character properly.

Let's be reasonable with weapons and magic. This also goes with skills/abilities/etc. etc. The last thing we need is a large group of over powered characters running around throwing god like fireballs with the blessing of Talos at enemies and claiming themselves the Hero of Cyrodiil. Give your characters some weaknesses and some faults, it will make it more interesting for interaction. Also, along with histories; can we not have everyone having their parents killed off? I'm going to go with reality on this one; if your character has a shit ton of problems, I.E. (sadistic/trying to kill everyone/talking constantly about gore/death/etc. etc.) then NPC's and people will react accordingly and possibly attempt to defend themselves from you.

Pets and companions? I'm arguing about it. Seriously I am. I suppose you can have one..ONE pet. Something simple like a scamp or a dog, but don't go all out and say you have a Demora Mage as your guardian with a Dark Seducer as your sex slave ... ಠ nಠ;

Note: As for the information on the Expansion Buildings (Frostcraig Spire/Battlehorn Castle/etc. etc.) You are NOT permitted to claim them as your own due to they are currently being owned by the said guilds they represent as sanctuaries to members.

Artifacts
They will be in the roleplay, but don't think about having them in your possession. This also goes for Daedric Artifacts too! What's an Artifact you say? Well artifacts are usually rare items in the game that are considered legendary that are one in a million chance of discovering as well as even holding. The Umbra Sword, Hircine's Ring, Voldrung, Goldbrand, Ring of Khajiit, Skeleton Key, etc. etc. These items/weapons are NOT allowed to be wielded and/or owned by characters. Why? Because these items are simply too powerful for the roleplay and border on going into god-moding/auto-hitting territory. This does not mean that they will be completely left out of the roleplay, it simply means that your character is not permitted to have these artifacts as their own.

Want more information on the Artifacts? Then Click Here and Here.

Werewolves and Vampires
Ugh...alright. You can be one, but werewolves will be scarce since they are uncommon in the province of Cyrodiil. If anything, a werewolf character would probably be from Morrowind or another province that has come to Cyrodiil. When it comes to being one, stick to how they're played out in the game:
-Werewolves are feared and hated, attacked at an instant if they enter a town/city.
-If anyone catches you turning into a werewolf then prepare to fight for your life and the word being spread of you being a werewolf. You will be constantly hunted down and forced to be on the run as well as unable to enter anycity/town without being attacked.
-Vampires are wounded by garlic/sunlight/silver weapons. There's no immunity to this even with enchanted items/potions.
-Vampire must feed every night or they will become more monstrous looking. This being said, after your third night of eating you will discover NPC's unwilling to converse with you as well as their dispositions towards you dropping greatly to the point where some may even attack you.
-Until you have fed again, after the third night from not feeding from others, you will become primal and lose your sense of self. This being said you run a high risk of also being hunted down and constantly on the run from others hunting you down.

The perks are obvious of course with status bonuses, even new spells and whatnot, but is it really worth it if you're unable to interact with other without them trying to kill you every waking second?

Posting
I'm hoping for literacy here. No one lining or simplistic paragraphs. You don't have to write a novel or a three page chapter, but I expect a decent amount of detail and whatnot when you're posting. As for posting styles, do what you please, but ensure that others can read your posts by keeping the color and size at a reasonable level. No flashing/bright colors, no overly detailed and pretty pictures/sprites and crap. That stuff isn't really needed and I never understood why people did it anyways..

Posting order starts off with everyone getting their introductions out of the way. Once everyone has posted then we can begin the destination of doing as we please. Just like the game you can travel where ever you like and even go off on your own. Please keep in mind that if you wish to enjoy the full interaction of the roleplay then try to form a small group of three's and begin on your own select quests of what you want to do. There's plenty of hell to sift through and you do NOT have to save the day and become a hero. You can easily be evil and pit yourself against someone wishing to be a hero and ensure they fail.

Player to Player
OOC Interaction should be very short and quick. If enough people wish to converse as a group then I can make an Out of Character room so all may enjoy each other's company, yet if you are simply talking to another player then it would be wise to send them a Private Message to ensure that you do not interrupt the roleplay.

Character Limitation
Only one character per player is allowed. I'm not really sure how I'll go along with how many players I'll accept at this time. Yet if it becomes too confusing and hard to keep track of then I'm going to limit to those whom are most active and are willing to commit themselves to the roleplay itself.

Respect
In Character drama and conflict is enjoyable and entertaining to watch, but if you are going to snap and be disruptive as well as rude to others then take it elsewhere. Want to kill a character? Ask the player's permission first. Auto-Hitting? God-Moding? Do it and it will be pointed out as well as you obtaining a warning. We're all at a reasonable age here, you know your manners, I shouldn't have to baby sit ya! Be kind, be respectful, and keep your toes in line.

Have FUN
Don't take things too seriously. Sometimes good roleplays end terribly because there's always a few sticks in the muds that are so anal about roleplays based off games that it's simply tiresome. I won't heckle you if you don't know too much about the history and lore of things, I won't get into arguments with you about which race is better than the rest, I wont fight over you about other menial crap that isn't even that serious. If you wish to correct someone on something; be nice about it. Don't point out their flaws openly and make fun of them, yet my words still stand; we're here to do what we love; Roleplay and Have Fun.

If you can't have fun and roleplay at the same time then get out. 'Nough said.

Updates/Announcements
They'll be posted some way or another. General updates on how many people are in the room, current activity and what's going on in the roleplay, etc. etc. The usual stuff just to keep those whom are playing updated.";

The Great Gates of Leyawiin shut behind a cloaked being as they began walking between the arches of the great walls of the city. Stench of Black Marsh swamp air, stagnant and still waters, combined with the smell of blood always encouraged others to keep away. Disease was unpredictable and a high risk of infection due to the warm moisture in the air kept everything soft and mushy. Yet the stranger paid no heed as the slipped past the guards to make their way towards the stables nearby.

The Leyawiin watch guards kept a close eye on the being, hands reaching up to remove the hood that revealed a young woman with rich brown skin and black hair pulled back into braids. Deep eyes supported mischievous and careful nature as she jumped over the gate to make her way towards the simple chestnut horse. A gloved hand reached up to pat the stallion whom snorted at her lazily before butting his head against her shoulder playfully. She giggled, rubbing his ears as she walked around the beast to inspect him.

The Guards began approaching though, one of them getting further ahead than the other as they started to make her way towards the stranger. The Redguard female wasted no time with her plan. She was quick to climb atop the stallion as the beast reared and bucked, the loud bays in her ears did little to phase her as she obtained control of the now stolen mount.

"Stop! Thief! Unhand and dismount that horse!" cried the guard as they began climbing over the fence. Sydney gave a grin, nose scrunching up playfully as she threw away the hooded cloak on the ground and obtained control of the bucking Chestnut by encouraging it to run. With swift actions the horse was quick to leap over the fence where it was contained and darted off with the Redguard riding upon him.

--

An hour or so of running away from the guard allowed Sydney to dismount the horse halfway between Leyawiin and the Imperial City, she was quick to take her belongings off the Chestnut and quickly send him on his way. The horse was glad to be freed of his burden and showed his "gratitude" by giving a disgusting snort at the Redguard and taking a nasty bite at her arm. She reacted reasonably, lashing out by cursing and screaming before attempting to gather up a spell in hopes to attack the horse, yet the beast had darted off into the forest and left the Redguard be.

Sydney grumbled under her breath, rubbing her now bruised arm as she adjusted her green and blue top before turning around to begin walking. She almost appeared like any common woman traveling upon the safe roads on this fine morning, the bag she carried slung around her side wriggling with life as a small imp creature peeked out with a nasty face to climb up her back and rest upon her shoulder. The thing appeared like a miniature gargoyle, nasty leathery wings and pinched face with beady red eyes, and tiny, sharp fingers that were probably good for cutting and scratching. The Redgaurd smiled at her companion, patting the creature on the head while walking.

Such is the life of this witch; wandering and walking.
Heron (played by Pyrroglaux)

Why had she agreed to this again? Oh yes… Foolish arrogance and misplaced hope of a bit more gold and a bit more comfort. What had possessed her, she would never know. Yet somehow she always found herself volunteering for these fool’s errands.

Heron had no time to dwell on the consequences of her big mouth, however, as she steered her rowing boat into a small bay, north-west of Anvil. She pulled in the oars when she neared the narrow strip of sand, exposed by the low tide. With a swift, agile movement, she jumped out of the boat and landed with a splash of seawater and foam. She took hold of the bow and bit her lip as she pushed her feet down securely into the sand, then pulled the boat onto the shore. When she was sure she dragged it far enough to prevent it from floating off without her, she produced an annoyed grunt and stretched her arms. She shook them to try and drive the fatigue from them. Rowing had never been one of her favourite pastimes. In fact, she preferred to let others row, but others weren’t stupid enough to be here.

She rested her hands on her hips and turned to cast a calculating look around the bay and the steep cliffs that surrounded it. There was a jagged crevice at the foot of those cliffs, an entrance to a cave. Not a very good spot to store smuggled goods, Heron thought. The place would be flooded each time the tide came in, unless of course there was a network of caverns higher up near the surface. She didn’t know, and didn’t care. All she had to do was drop off the goods, and get out of arrows’ range before they found out they had been cheated.

Two figures appeared from the cave. A dark-skinned man, a Redguard it seemed, and an Argonian. The lizard carried a spear, and the Yokudan sported two curved blades on either side of his belt. Heron turned back to the rowing boat and lifted a large wooden chest from it. She walked towards the man and the lizard and stopped some five feet away from them. With a dull thud, she dropped the chest on the sand. She kicked against the hasp, causing the lid to fall back, revealing several rows of small vials, all tightly packed together within paper to prevent damage.

“There it is,” she said, folding her arms in front of her. “The payment?”

“We have it,” the Argonian said, while the Redguard kneeled in front of the chest and examined its contents.

“I don’t see it,” Heron said impatiently, watching as the Redguard took one of the vials out of the chest and opened it.

Ah, shite...

She uncrossed her arms, in case she had to run. She cast a quick glance in the direction of the cave to see if there were more of them, and caught a flicker of sunlight reflecting off something shiny.

Oh, lovely...

She put on a confident smile to hide the manic one that threatened to split her face. “Well?” she inquired. “If you would kindly hand it over, my boss would be much obliged.”

The Argonian threw a questioning gaze in the Redguard’s direction, who poured a droplet of the vial’s contents on his finger and brought it to his mouth to taste it.

“It’s sugar in water,” he growled and grinned a horrible grin of rotten teeth; the teeth of someone who knew exactly how real, refined skooma was supposed to taste.

Heron didn’t linger. She ran like the wind, back towards the sea. She reached the rowing boat and pushed against it, trying to get it to move. An arrow whizzed past and lodged itself into wood of the boat. She let out a startled squeak and looked behind her. The Argonian and Redguard charged after her, and from the mouth of the cave, another figure with a bow had appeared.

Shite, shite, shite...

She left the rowing boat behind, and dived into the water.
Xuren (played by Legion)

Xuren looked up to the sky as he walked over to his pack mule Cap. He was hard pressed to determine if it was going to rain this day or not. The sky was a overcast of cloudy weather in the spot he was at. With a shake of his head the nord male tightened up some buckles holding leather packs onto the pack animals back.

The nord checked, and double checked, before turning around and walking over to his shield that laid propped up against a tree. The shield was a normal mithril shield, as his crusaders shield was wrapped up and strapped to cap, so he could more easily pass for a traveling warrior, or in his case part of the mages guild. Xuren was only a good hour or two ride from the border of Valenwood and Cyrodiil and once crossed, he would come out somewhere between Kvatch and Skingrad........or so his map said. With a shake of his head the nord checked to make sure that the light cloth that wrapped around his armor was still how he needed it so he could once more hide more easily in plain sight, after all the crusaders armor was well known and with the state of things, how people viewed the knights, he did not want to advertise to much.

Xuren walked over to Alara, his black mare, and mounted upon the creatures saddle. The horse neighed and side stepped for a brief few seconds before Xuren calmed the creature down with a gentle pat to its neck and a gentle rub. "Easy girl, easy. Were almost back to Cyrodiil and then we can rest for longer." He had been traveling for long days, and even into the night on some of them, on his way through Valenwood to come back. After making sure the rope that kept Cap tied to his saddle was tight enough he would start them on there way.

The next hour was uneventful, thank god for that, and quickly enough he reached the border and crossed into the lands that he called home now, that he traveled all over in his pilgrimage to the Way-shrines of the Nine. The mere thought of this brought back memories from his time doing that, of his fellow knights, Umaril, and countless other things. With a saddish sigh he shook his head to clear the thoughts from his mind and put up a stalwart look upon his face, a look of determination from the well traveled man. He pulled out the map long enough to select the road that would lead him towards Skingrad first so he could catch up on the freshest rumors, the latest news, and get supplies.

As Xuren rode Alar down the path, he would come to the main imperial road that connected most of the cities together. A smile played on lips as he urged the mare onward towards Skingrad. After only a few minutes of travel, the sound of clip clops, clip clops, alerted him to an oncoming horse. The crusader slowed down his own mount and his hand idly slipped down to rest on the hilt of his sword just in case. Quickly the sight of another black horse is seen, a rider in normal clothes up in the saddle. The rider stopped when he neared Xuren and the nord would nod.

"Good Day citizen, May i interest you in the latest copy of the blackhorse courier?" The rider would speak, a Breton by the looks and voice of him.

"Good day, and yes I will take one" Xuren would speak back to the Breton with a tilt to his head, eyes searching for weapons upon the persons figure.

The Breton would reach into his horses saddle pack and pull out a copy of the paper and hand it over to Xuren and then waves and begins to ride off once more to spread the paper to any and all who wanted it.

Xuren sat there watching as the courier rode away. Once the Breton was out of sight the nord urged the mare to continue her way to the city. As he rode he began to read the courier.

"In this issue of the courier, we bring you inside stories of the plague that grips the Imperial city by its neck. Insider talks has it that it is Ocato himself who is causing this plague! Sources close to the man tell us that he has done this to cleanse the Imperial city of all undesirables and to amass wealth in charging for cures!"

Xuren would stop reading there and just shake his head. Yep, like he remembered it, the courier always full of far out stories that had almost no grain of truth. It brought a small chuckle to the man, though the words of plague he knew to be true, due to the very small and brief rumors he had heard on his travels back to Cyrodiil. He would have to head there to see for himself how bad it was.

((If you don't like the BC, or find it is not something they may write let me know and i will change it! ^_^ i figured them like most conspiracy theories))
Baelor Tharys (played by Merela)

Even before he got molested, Baelor was having a rotten day.

He entered Lelle’s Quality Merchandise shop, on Anvil’s docks, for getting paid for a job he had performed the day before. That wasn’t necessary the rotten part. The day was sunny, there was a soothing breeze and the saline smell of the sea filled the air like an exotic perfume. Behind his counter, Norbert Lelles was consulting his accounts book. He nosed up from his daily takings when the Dunmer man closed the door behind him and instantly put up a smile. Not a genuine smile, but a service smile. The kind of smile that could convince any customer to buy the moons. The charm however faltered when Lelles’ eyes fell on the stump that was once a right hand. A wince stretched his lips and Baelor was reminded again that he was nothing but a disabled man.

“Ah, you’re here for your reward, aren’t you?” While Baelor nodded, Lelles rummaged through the mess of papers on the counter. He found a little flat purse he threw at the Dunmer. “Fifteen septims, as we agreed. Thank you for helping me.”

Baelor felt something heavy falling in his stomach. He licked his lips nervously, feeling he could barely talk. “We agreed on fifty septims,” he whispered. “What am I supposed to do with just fifteen septims?” It wasn’t enough to renewal the ranting of his room at the Count’s Arms.

Nelles was perspiring heavily. He took a handkerchief from his vest and dabbed his face. “Fifty septims without taxes, I thought it was clear.”

“Very clear,” groaned Baelor. Taxes. An elegant way to name the extortion of money shopkeepers was subjected to. Led by the city guard itself, no less, though calling them “guards” was incredibly ironic, since they were nothing but robbers wearing Anvil’s colors, even more dangerous than the threats they were supposed to protect the city from. “Thank you very much for this generous reward then,” scoffed the Dunmer before leaving the shop. For good measure, he banged the door behind him. A Bosmer sailor threw him a taken aback look but Baelor ignored him and started walking in direction of the Westgate District.

Two strong hands grab him by the shoulders before he could pass the gate and pushed him heavily against the wall. The collision between the hard stones and his head took his breath away and his iron armor screeched. Someone pulled his sword out of the sheath he was wearing on his belt and threw it away. Despite the bells pealing out into his head, Baelor vaguely heard a splash. Then bells again when a fist hit him in right in the jaw. Between the blur of his tears, he managed to identify the armor of the city guard. And a purse that was still tied at his belt a few moment ago.

“Everyone pays taxes, One-Handed,” mocked a low, deep voice. “Even freaks like you.” An another punch in the face, and Baelor’s world turned black, bloody and penniless.
Sydney (played by Omnichromiogasm) Topic Starter

After making a jovial round at Bravil to sell plenty of scrolls and various items she didn't need, Sydney had managed to obtain a good two thousand gold for herself after all her looting in that crypt near Leyawiin. She shoved the bag of coins within her bosom and skipped out of town with a gay step in her foot.

Behind her there was a rousing sound from the Mage's Guild in the distance, a lot of arguments and yelling combined with the sudden array of academical explosions clashing with the booms of spells going off. Sydney only smiled though and shrugged her shoulders as she began making her way towards the Imperial City road, then off towards Skingrad Countryside to pick some herbs.

An hour or so would pass as she stood at the crossroads between multiple paths that led in plenty of directions to each county, city, and even a few new added locations such as taverns and inns on the road to the main destinations. Sydney paid no heed to the shadow rising behind her while the companion of an imp's tail tapped on her shoulder to also study the signs. Yet when the beast looked over his own shoulder and let out such a squeak, it not only startled the stranger, but also Sydney herself to the point where she stumbled forwards to whip around and hold her arms up in retaliation.

"By the- Holy hell woman! Calm down!" snapped the Imperial Guard.
"Ease yourself, I'm only a guard!" he snapped again.

Sydney paused for a moment, cocking a brow and letting her hands fall to her side as she felt the claws of her imp ease as well. "What do you want?" she asked with her nerves making her voice sound tense and worried.
"I'm just passing by. I saw you standing there near the posts and wondering if you were in need of assistance?" he asked after clearing his throat.
"Hmm? Oh..no..it's just that I have a hard time reading things too far away. I have to get in close if I want to read them properly, but I do need assistance. Could you perhaps point me in the direction of Skingrad since I won't have to stand here studying these's signs for any longer?"

The Imperial Guard nodded with a smile and puffed out his chest as he pointed in the right direction. "If you keep going there, you should reach it by morning. I've just come from there not two days ago actually so there should be a tavern and inn as a halfway point for you to spend the night at if you wish not travel too far.." he explained while giving a quick salute.
"Oh you are far too kind for this humble Redgaurd lady, Imperial. I thank you kindly for your good deeds this day.."
And with that Sydney gave a bow and went in the right direction. She hummed a merry tune as the imp on her shoulder kept himself silent by picking at his ears lazily. Yet those pointed things perked up to glance behind Sydney to see the Imperial Guard mounting his horse and prancing himself towards her yet again. The imp growled a warning in Sydney's ear as she looked over her shoulder as well.
"Why do you follow, Guard? Do you not have to make your rounds in the Imperial City?" she yelled back.
The guard was quick to prance on his horse by her side and chuckle to puff his chest out yet again. He leaned forwards a bit, encouraging the horse to walk ahead and block her way. Sydney had no choice but to stop and frown up at him.
"Please let me pass. I would like to make Skingrad before the week is over with.."
"You're a mighty fair Redguard maiden to be walking along these roads on your own though. I could protect you. Plenty of bandits and thugs about that would mug you.."
"How charming, assuming that I'm weak and defenseless. The only protection I need is my hands and my companion here. Now will you please let me pass?" she asked as the Imp nodded with confirmation.
"So you rely your life upon your frail hands and a rat with wings? Oh you are adorable!" the Guard mocked in a snide tone.

Sydney glared deeply, turning up her nose towards the guard and walking around him and his horse. Now annoyed, the Guard persisted with his courtship by climbing off his horse and grabbing her wrist to tug her back. The Redguard let out a cry of confusion as she fought back by trying to pull her hand free. "Unhand me! On what grounds do you have the right to do this! I have done nothing wrong!" she yelled again in attempts to free herself.
"Upon my own grounds! Hold still fair maiden! I only wish to ask you questions that you may answer!"
"Questions you may ask, but you shall obtain no answers from me you swine! Unhand me now or I'll scream even louder! UNHAND ME I SAY!" Sydney yelled with her voice becoming louder.
Heron (played by Pyrroglaux)

Heron swam until she couldn’t feel her arms anymore. She half dragged, half let herself be washed ashore and sat on her knees in the sand. She licked her lips and spat repeatedly, pulling a grimace at the taste of salt water. She looked around while she caught her breath. She hadn’t been followed, as far as she could see and hear. Perhaps she had managed to lose them, or maybe they couldn’t be bothered to hunt her down. She hadn’t even gotten a glimpse of the gold she was supposed to cheat them out of, after all.

She looked to the south, and saw the rooftops and the castle walls of Anvil. It occurred to her it would be a good idea to disappear into the crowd for a while, while she pondered on a way to return to her boss to deliver the bad news. She had better come up with a damn good explanation, or not come back at all.

She got up to her feet with a weary groan and spat again, then started to run once more.

By the time she reached Anvil, her clothes had dried, but her boots still produced an annoying squishy noise whenever her feet touched the ground. Exhausted, she dragged her feet along the docks toward the Flowing Bowl to drown her problems in something other than sea water. In doing so, she didn’t notice the bloodied, white-haired Dunmer that lay sprawled in the middle of the path she had planned to take. Too late to alter her course, she tripped over the man’s legs, resulting in a clunk! as her toes connected to the iron plates of the man’s greaves, and a thud! as she landed on her hands and knees.

A series of vile curses escaped her lips as she sat up and massaged one of her knees, turning a devastating glare on the current subject of her frustration.

“Bloody drunkard!” she spat, then hesitated. The man didn’t look drunk. He looked like he needed to get drunk, though. She crawled towards him and waved a hand in front of his face. “Hello? Are you there?” She withdrew her hand and studied the man’s face, then looked him over with the eye of a real, proper pirate, noting he had no valuables on him. Nothing that was obvious, in any case. “Were you robbed? You look like you need a drink.”
Xuren (played by Legion)

Xur continued to ride the mare up the road until he reached the cities gate and speak with one of the guards. The guard would walk over to him, hand upon the hilt of his weapon. "Yer business here sir." Xuren would bow his head. "Supplies and to report to the mages guild good sir." He was masquerading as a healer after all. The guard gave him a hard look. "You know the guild is split here right?" Xuren frowned and shook his head. "I did not, but now i must go see. I promise to cause no trouble." The guard thinks for a bit then nods and has the gate opened.

Xur bows his head in thanks then rides the mare into the city, pack mule behind him. His first stop was the general supplies store to restock on traveling food and other vital needs when one was out on the road. He would arrive there and dismounts the mare tieing her up to a post then enters. Xur reaches down to his coin purse and sighs feeling just how light it was at this moment and shook his head then would get the supplies he needed. Once he paid for them he would count what he had left, which really was not all that much at this point in time. Xur would pack the supplies onto the mule and then make his way over to the mages guild.

As he traveled through the city, he kept his ears open to the conversations of others so as to catch snatches here and there. The main rumors he heard about was the sickness in the imperial city, the problems with anvil, and what disturbed him a good bit.......the rumors of what was happening here. He did not like the sound of this new nation, or that the brotherhood may be involved with what was happening here....or so some of the snatches of rumors he heard said. With a shake of his head he carried on passing buy the mages guild along his way and stopping. The crusader got down and would wander over to the guild hall to speak to whoever was left.

After speaking with some of the people, to learn more on the situations at hand, he walked out and then proceeded to head to an inn. He went to the two sisters lodge inn and would rent a room for the night. He unloaded the most important stuff from the animals and brought it up to his room, the rest he could handle loosing, though it would hard press him, and should he have to leave in a hurry, he wouldn't have to worry about bringing everything down. After getting his stuff situated he would head down to the inns tavern and gets a table down in the back to listen in on the conversations that were being had.

((sorry it took so long, hectic getting ready for drill this weekend, which i will be gone the 4th, 5th, and 6th, i'm sorry for the inconvenience.))
Baelor Tharys (played by Merela)

Baelor had no idea for how long he stayed on the ground, but he was certain he looked pathetic, like a grey turtle with an iron shell flipped on its back. A big, grey, penniless turtle. With no weapon either.

Or was it? Baelor eventually felt something stumble on his greaves - or more exactly, someone, since he heard a series of curse shortly after the shock. He was a bit disappointed actually – the person, whoever it was, hadn’t tumbled very far of him. He would have failed as a sneaky rock. After all, when you hit a rock, it hurt – whereas the guard who had almost fractured his jaw didn’t even seem to mind. Bastard.

He slightly turned his head when the person who had stumbled on him called him a “Bloody drunkard.” It was an Altmer lady, with a grey bandana on her head. Since she hadn’t tried yet to kick him or whatever, he concluded she maybe wasn’t a bad person.

“Yes I’m here, yes I have been robbed, yes I need a drink,” he muttered with a sigh while getting up clumsily. His jaw was hurting and he used his good hand for carefully rubbing the blood and the dirt out from his face. “Sadly, I don’t have money anymore, so the drink isn’t an option. But…thank you anyway.” He hesitated then offered her his left hand with an uneasy expression . “My name is Baelor, nice to meet you, Miss…?”
Heron (played by Pyrroglaux)

Heron raised her eyebrows and blinked before she tilted her head curiously and drew her eyebrows down again into a skeptical frown. The Dunmer seemed awfully polite for someone who just got robbed. Maybe that was exactly why he got robbed in the first place, she thought. Politeness never earned you anything but a kick in the face, as far as Heron had deduced.

She looked at the offered hand and endeavoured to take it, only to discover she couldn’t. Not with her right hand, in any case.

“Er...”

She pulled a puzzled frown, shooting a glance in the direction of the man’s other hand. She blinked again, several times. There was no other hand.

“Oh!”

She hastily switched hands and took the Dunmer’s left with her left. She wondered if he knew there were really fancy hooks for just these cases.

"The name's Heron," she said while she shook his hand. "Forget the 'Miss'."

Instead of letting go, she added her right hand to the grip as well. She got off her knees and got to her feet. Despite her fatigued arms, she pulled on his arm to attempt to help him up, whether he appreciated it or not.

“Ah, bollocks. I’ll buy you a drink. The less gold I’ve got left for me, the less chance I have to get so pissed I’ll stagger off the quay tonight. I don’t fancy a swim. Had more than enough of that for today.”
