The heartless had taken a major blow from the keyblade wielder Sora. After he fought and defeated Melificent and her council. Sealing the keyholes in many worlds he went missing as the heartless began to flood back. The closed keyholes slowed the spread of them but several unsealed worlds have been having massive amounts of darkness spreading. But during the chaos another group of dark creatures known as the nobodies began to make themselves known. But another threat was emerging. A channelure of darkness known as Melstrum had emerged from the darkness and was beginning to make the darkness emerge.
"The darkness grows. The heartless hunger and the worlds are free for the picking." A tall shadowy figure stood in a void like world of nothing but darkness. "We shall spread the heartless out to every world and consume all." The shadowy red eyed figure disappeared into the darkness with these words. The heartless would start to attack all worlds. New heroes must rise to the occasion and hold of the heartless or even stop them and save some worlds.

Sweat dripped off Karin's brow as she stood back regaining her breath. Yuffie stood a few feet from her, panting yet keeping her smile on her face "You can't tell me you're getting tired already, are you?" She cocked her head to one side and giggled as her four bladed shuriken twirled around in her hand. Karin wiped her brow with the back of her hand and straightened. She felt herself grip her kantana as she readied herself. "Prepare yourself!" She told Yuffie as she rushed her.
It had been years since darkness had taken over her world. It seemed like some kind of twisted nightmare, but she knew the stories were real. She heard of a seemingly ordinary boy who's world had also been taken over who had gone out seeking to destroy the evil that had taken over. In the long run, he was rather successful. Yet now, with his disappearance, darkness was once again spreading. Karin knew this would be her chance to help where she could, as long as she was strong enough.
Her kantana collided with Yuffie with enough force to send her crashing to the ground with an unpleasant grunt. Panting and sweating, Karin reached down to help her up. "Let's call it. I'm pretty sure I won that one," she said as she hoisted Yuffie from the ground. Yuffie scowled back before the two of them giggled. Karin's gaze then traveled to the sky which was now darkening. She wondered...which world would be taken next?

Ritsuka stared intently at the spinning rings before him, a slight breeze reaching him due to the speed of the rotation. He lifted his hand up and clenched his fingers, a bright light flashing in hands before clearing to reveal a Keyblade. He gazed at the weapon in his hands before returning his attention to the apparatus.
"This time, for sure." He said to himself as he lowered in a fighting stance, his Keyblade in both hands, he took one last moment of preparation and charged at the spinning rings. He began attacking the rings with various swings and combos, he tried his best to keep the swings and movement of his body in the direction opposite of the rotation of the rings. After finishing a combo, he took a step back and executed a Sliding Dash, ending up on the other side of the apparatus. He refocused and followed up with a Strike Raid, the weapon shining with the power light and being thrown at the rings, hitting it multiple times as it flew by before teleporting back to Ritsuka's hand. With each strike the rings seemed to be rotating slower and slower, which only made Ritsuka try that much harder to finally get them to stop. After finishing yet another combo he saw that the rings have finally slowed down enough. "Alright, this is it." He said as he got in between two of the rings, held his Keyblade up in a blocking position and let the next ring collide with it. The force was still strong enough to drag Ritsuka along the floor a little bit, but he stood firm, not allowing it to overpower him. "Come on, stop!" He gave one last push and with that the rings came to a stop. He let out a sigh of relief as he lowered his Keyblade from the ring. "So?" He called out to the corner of the room. Standing there was a Moogle who was holding a stop watch, examining it intently before shaking his head.
"Sorry Ritsuka, fourteen seconds off the mark, kupo." It replied. Ritsuka's face turned from a hopeful smile to a dejected frown as he slumped over in defeat.
"What, oh man, at this rate I'll never beat my record... oh well, start it up again." he said, quickly changing his mood.
"Again, kupo? Wouldn't you rather rest a little, it's already late, kupo." the Moogle pointed out.
"It is, whoa, when did that happen." Ritsuka sad as he looked at a clock to see it was in fact true. "Ok, I guess I should be heading to bed, Master Yen Sid doesn't really like it when I stay up too late." With that he dismissed his Keyblade and the two exited the room. They climbed up the winding stairs until they finally made it to their rooms. They exchanged their goodnights and went to sleep, completely unaware of the darkness that was slowly approaching.

The worlds who previously had peace are now beginning to be assaulted by the darkness. Traverse town was on of the first. The sky near the center of the town began to have dark cloud formations. The clouds would slowly start to spiral and move slowly. The air around the area was cooling and the light slightly getting darker. However the dark being waited in his world of darkness. "The first world to be consumed." He says with a chuckle. The clouds would form a rift between the worlds. All worlds with heartless would be connected for a moment. Black and purple lightning began to form as the portal formed itself.
(I finally have internet! Posts should come faster now )
Karin’s gaze became more focused as the sky continued to grow darker, much darker than it had gotten before. For as long as Karin could remember she had hated the darkness. There was some fear mixed in with her hate for it, but she rarely dwelled on it. “Yuffie?” Karin called out, pointing to a dark swirl growing in the sky. She saw the lightening begin, and then she saw something she hoped she would never have to see again. A portal was slowly growing amiss the black and purple lightening. She felt herself take a step back and her heart began to race. “Yuffie!” She screamed, turning to see her friend. Yuffie had grabbed her arm and was running her towards the city. “We have to find Cid, this place is going to be torn apart! Without a keyblade there’s nothing we can do!” She told her in a rush, her hand clenching down on Karin’s arm. Terror began to fill Karin. Was there nothing they could do? Was this to be her fate yet again?
As she ran she watched as the darkness seemed to cover the land, forming in the corners like deep pools. Slowly, small black creatures began to emerge from the darkness forming. Forms she had once seen before. “Heartless…” She whispered, watching more and more begin to form. Soon, the few became the many, multiplying before her eyes. “Yuffie they’re growing!” Karin yelled again. The heartless turned their heads sharply, swiveling around to survey the area before they caught ahold of Karin’s gaze. Before she had time to realize they were jumping towards her, swiping at her with her claws. Her instincts kicked in before her brain did and she ripped her arm from Yuffie, bringing her Kanata down on the heartless. It seemed to explode and the darkness evaporated back into the night. “Karin we have to fight our way through,” Yuffie told her, getting into a fighting stance and readying her shuriken as the heartless surrounded them. Karin took a moment to take in a deep, calming breath. This was the moment she was waiting for.

Ritsuka stood nervously in Master Yen Sid's study, it was still morning and the old wizard had requested his and Moguri's presence, interrupting his normal morning training, much to the boy's surprise. The old wizard had a serious look on his face... well he always did really, but this time his expression was more grim then usual, it gave two a bad feeling. There was a long moment of silence, as if Yen Sid was pondering something, but finally he spoke.
"Ritsuka, I apologize for interrupting your morning exercises, I understand that I have not been very attentive to your training lately, but there is a very good reason for this I assure you." He began. The truth of the matter was for passed few days Yen Sid had seemed rather preoccupied with something, yesterday he even went as far as to lock himself in his study the whole day, leaving the two to their own devices. As much as Ritsuka was curious, dared not interrupt. "I am sure you both are aware that recently a great evil had been neutralized, the stars had returned and things had returned to peace for a time. However, ever since that calamity had been averted, I could not shake the feeling that other forces were hiding in the shadows, and now it seems my fears have been realized. The stars are fading away once again, and the Heartless continue to grow in number.
"...Heartless." He said barely above a whisper, he knew the beings well, while he had only truly experienced them once, a long time a go, he still had a profound... "interest" in the creatures. Yen Sid merely nodded in response.
"This matter cannot be ignored, but the sudden fluctuation of dark magic has interfered with my powers, I am unable to properly access the situation. This is my request to you both."
"So you want us to do some recon, kupo?" Moguri deduced.
"Precisely, think of this as the next step in your training, your skill with the Keyblade has progressed wonderfully, but it takes more than swordsmanship to become a Master. A Keyblade Master must always be aware of the shifts in power of Light and Darkness and be prepared to take action. Do you believe you will be able to handle this task?" The room fell silent, Ritsuka pondered the fact and Moguri just seemed to be waiting for his answer. Eventually Ritsuka nodded in response, a look of determination in his eyes. "Excellent, now, take this." He placed what seemed to be a metal armband on the table, which caught Ritsuka's fascination immediately.
"Whoa, really, your serious?" He said excitedly as he took the piece of metal and strapped it on his left arm. Yen Sid seemed content with the young boy's excitement, it reminded him of himself when he first received his Keyblade Armor.
"Be warned, the darkness is not a force to be taken lightly, if you are not on your guard it will vanquish you. However, the force behind this resurgence is still in it's beginning stages, I suppose the best place to start would be Traverse Town, a place of refuge for those whose worlds were lost to the Darkness. Access the situation and report back here as soon as possible, be careful." With that Ritsuka and Moguri bowed in respect and understanding before making their way out of the tower. Ritsuka had a large smile plastered on his face as he made it outside. He lifted up his arm and smacked the armband, engulfing him in a bright light. It cleared away to reveal a black and yellow armor, one that Ritsuka and Moguri admired greatly. He summoned his Keyblade and threw it into the air, turning it into a vehicle known as a Keyblade Glider.
"Oh man this is so cool! Alright Moguri, let's do this." he said as he and the Moogle hopped on the Keyblade Glider and flew into a bright portal, off to another world.
(Sorry this was insanely long, I guess I got carried away)

The heartless assault on traverse town was getting worse by the minute. Currently the heartless around where only shadows but as people began to fall victim to the darkness armored heartless soldiers began to appear. They moved in their erratic and twitchy movement. Their armor clinks as they move and leap to strike the girls. Using their claws and armor to take hits. With furious damage and a flurry of strikes they began. The heartless in a matter of minutes of starting their attack were getting into the hundreds. However they would need more time to develop stronger and more potent heartless.
"They fight the heartless in a losing battle. They will soon be consumed." The dark figure says inside the darkness. Not in traverse town but able to witness all that is happening. "Wait. What is this? Something is coming." He senses the incoming presence of Ritsuka. He shows a bit of concern for this power he senses but ignores it for now. "Other worlds are being assaulted as we speak. We will have much more powerful heartless in other locations." The figure is merely a set of glowing eyes and a shadowy body in the dark void he inhabits.
The heartless swarms focused their attention on Karen and Yuffie. The silent heartless strike and move with no noise other then their armor clanking. Further in the town a man and a child were attacked by some shadows. They seemed to freeze up as their hearts where stolen and they turned into heartless. This was a cutting example of how the heartless don't discriminate with whose hearts they steal. The darkness portal was causing pools of darkness all over the place. These pools released heartless shadows at a constant unrelenting pace.

For every heartless Karin destroyed, ten more took it's place. Soon Yuffie and Karin were surrounded by hundreds of heartless. "We'll never be able to fight our way through!" Karin yelled to Yuffie as she lashed her kantana out and a few heartless exploded. "We have to get to Cid! There's nothing more we can do we'll have to escape on a gummi ship!" Yuffie yelled back, throwing her shuriken foreword and creating a small pathway for them to escape. "Come on!" Yuffie took off in a run, battling the heartless on her way out. Karin quickly followed at her heels.
What was once a peaceful world was becoming engulfed in heartless. Karin noticed as she ran how more and more armored soldiers were appearing, and she could see tier number multiplying. To her dismay, she did not see any townspeople as she ran. She was sure they had been taking over by the heartless and the chances of them returning we're slim to none. She held her emotions within her as she battled, careful not to think of who she could be killing next. In the distance she could see a small shop being bombarded by heartless, the soldiers slowly climbing the roof where there was a man. With a piece of toothpick in his mouth and goggles over his eyes he was fighting the heartless off with what looked like a wooden bat.
"Cid!" Karen yelled out, Yuffie threw her shuriken to destroy the enemies circling around him.
"Let's get out of here! Fighting isn't my thing man!" He brought the wooden bat down on an armored soldier with difficulty and ended up knocking the soldier off the roof.
"Hurry!" He yelled down to them.
Quickly the two girls began to scale the building while Cid hopped in the bright yellow gummi ship, powering it up. Karin heard the roar of the engine and the wind picked up Around them, whipping her brown hair in her face. As she kicked a heartless off her leg she began to climb faster. How could this be happening? How could it have come to this?! She remembered when Sora had sealed the keyhole a year back in traverse town, yet it seemed now that any world could be under attack. Her heart sank as she reached the roof and ran for the gummi ship. Only thing left to do now was run..

Ritsuka and Moguri flew across the vast space of the Lanes Between, Moguri handled the navigation while Ritsuka focused on driving, it was his first time on a Keyblade Glider but he got the hang of it pretty fast. Moguri had been to Traverse Town before so he had a good idea of how to get there from the Mysterious Tower.
"Ok, it should be close... there, it's right there, kupo!" The Moogle pointed out. Ritsuka looked over and saw the round mishmash of buildings and other things floating in place in the Lanes Between, the typical form a world took to outsiders.
"That's it huh, alright, get ready for landing Moguri." Ritsuka replied as he made his way to the world. as he approached the world a portal opened up on it's surface, allowing them access to it. They entered and appeared in the First District, touching down in the middle of the plaza. The glider and Ritsuka's armor disappeared and the two took the chance to look around. "So, this is Traverse Town, you know I gotta say, for a refuge world this place seems kind of... empty." He commented, he expected the world to be filled with refugees from fallen worlds. Either less people typically survive a world's destruction than he thought, or something was wrong. Moguri was wondering the same thing, until he looked up.
"Uh, Ritsuka, you think maybe... that has something to do with it, kupo?" He said with a hint of nervousness in his voice. Ritsuka looked to the sky as well and his eyes widened when he saw the dark portal that hovered in the sky.
"What the, what is that?" He pondered out loud, but he was soon interrupted by a swarm of Heartless surrounding him and Moguri. Moguri let out a scream.
"H-HEARTLESS!!" He exclaimed. Ritsuka was astonished, this was the first time he had seen Heartless up close before, and so many as well.
"So, these are Heartless." He said as he stared at them for a moment before being attacked by a Shadow. He quickly snapped out of his daze and summoned his Keyblade, slicing through it in one swing. "Alright Moguri, looks like we'll have to fight our way out. This is what we've trained for, let's show these things what for." he proclaimed. Moguri was hesitant, but he eventually regained his composure and brought out a little sword he had brought along with him, both falling into a defensive stance. The two then charged into the Heartless hoard, bashing Shadows and Soldiers left and right. The Soldiers took Ritsuka a couple of hits to kill, but all in all these small garden variety Heartless were little challenge. While they tended to be replaced, they did so in a less intense pace to when Karin fought them, due to the power of the Keyblade keeping slain ones from respawning. They eventually cleared the hoard, some of the remaining heartless fleeing to the next district. Ritsuka relaxed his stance and looked back up at the portal. "Well, looks like Master was right to worry."
"Sure looks like it, kupo. Well, mission accomplished, let's head back to Master Yen Sid." Moguri replied, much to Ritsuka's dismay.
"What, we can't just leave!"
"But Master said to come back as soon as we assessed the situation, kupo."
"Well yeah, but we didn't really find out anything, we can't just go back and tell him Traverse Town is being attacked by a giant random portal in the sky, what kind of assessment is that? We should at least do some proper recon, find out just how badly this place was hit, and maybe even what caused it... and maybe even stop it." There a was a moment of silent, Ritsuka was dead set on staying and before Moguri could even protest he was off. "Come on, let's get going, before things get really bad."
"Huh, h-hey, but Master said... oh for the love of, wait for me, kupo!" Moguri exclaimed as he chased after the Keyblade Wielder.

"The girls fight. They are causing trouble for the heartless. And this keyblade wielder? This could cause problems." The dark figure said. Heartless proceeded to attack Ritsuka. They fell as quick as they attacked. But they where unintentionally luring him to Karin. The heartless however knew of Karin's escape attempt. They proceed to attack the gummi ship. They scratch the ship and deal a bit of damage but nothing serious.
"No. They shall not flee this place. The heartless will most likely be defeated here. I shall stop the assault on the town for now. The heartless shall unite. A powerful one shall fight them and put them to the test." He began to chuckle with a menacing laugh. He raised his hand and a strange staff appeared in his shadowy grasp. The staffs head was a spiked circle empty in the center. There was a heartless emblem on the front of it. The empty space in the circle began to glow a ominous black. he cast it forward and a orb of darkness shot out of it and flew into the dark void. He let out a chuckle as it flew off.
As Karin ran to the ship the orb appeared in the sky. The gummi ship Cid and Yuffie where in made them go into evasive maneuvers. Moving out of the way the orb impacted in front of Karin. knocking her back the orb grew to twenty feet in length. The heartless began to move to it and merge into it. "Now it get's interesting." The dark orb caused the ground to shake as it seemed to grow. The orb morphed into a semi humanoid form. The heartless always took on forms relating to the world they where in. In the past a strong heartless called guard armor. That heartless took several forms in this world but this time it was a pure blood heartless.
Two arms took form then a low head with no neck and arms. The torso emerged itself. The whole creature was pure black with glowing thin yellow eyes. The heartless stood eighteen feet tall. It moved it's head until a mouth formed. "Hsragh." It hissed. The darkness formed a barrier around Karin and the heartless. It would imprison them inside it. It was a good forty meters wide and twenty high. The buildings they where on would be vulnerable if enough force hit them. The heartless let out a roar as it was ready to attack Karin

Karin watched, wide-eyed as a heartless grew before her. First only ten feet tall, and then it grew to be taller than some of the buildings around her. She felt herself grasp her kantana tighter in her hand as she surveyed the large enemy in front of her. She was alone, that much she was sure. Yuffie and Cid lay outside what looked like a large barrier encasing her and the enemy. Yuffie was trying to use her shuriken to break the transparent barrier but seemed to be getting nowhere. Swallowing the lump in her throat, and turning her gaze away from Yuffie's terrified stare, she faced the heartless in front of her.
"Alright weak spots..." Karin muttered to herself as she took a few steps back. The monster in front of her wouldn't wait forever for her to attack. She had to be fast. Every step the heartless monster took made the ground shake with enough force for Karin to shake and lose her focus. This was going to be too difficult for Karin to fight on her own. She had never battled anything this big let alone by herself! By this time she had finished retreating from the enemy her back was level with the barrier encasing them. The only thing left to do now was to fight, even if she wouldn't be able to accomplish much. Hopefully Yuffie would figure out a way to break the barrier and come to her aid.
She took a calming breath and then rushed for the heartless, managing to keep herself out from under his large feet. "Strength!" She shouted, and her kantana began to transform. Thick, large bolts of electricity ran through it and spikes began to emerge from the tip. Cid had just recently worked on her kantana to give it this form, so she wasn't completely used to handling it yet. The new weight from her weapon caused her to droop for just a moment, allowing the monster to swipe his large arm at her and throw her from him. Karin came crashing to the ground and rolled a bit before her body stopped. Pain ran through her, yet she forced herself to get back up and go for another attack. Regaining her composure, Karin ran for the heartless and slashed her kantana through the empty spaces holding the monster together. The heartless didn't seem to like that very much to Karin's relief as he let out another loud roar. If she could sever the ties that held the beast together, maybe it would fall apart, making it an easier target? This is what Karen hoped as she continued to attack, careful to dodge the large arms and feet of the monster.

As Ritsuka and Moguri entered the Third District they were met with the sight of the colossal Heartless, much to their shock. Ritsuka couldn't help but take a few steps back in shock and Moguri was cowering behind him. With the steps he took back Ritsuka hit the barrier, cutting off their only escape route.
"Wow, that's one BIG Heartless." he said in astonishment. The giant didn't seem to notice him yet, it appeared to be focused on an oddly dressed young lady armed with a modified katana. She seemed hesitant at first but eventually charged at the beast only to be knocked back across the ground. "Oh no!" Ritsuka exclaimed in concern. The Heartless lifted its arm up for a follow up strike but Ritsuka wouldn't have it, he summoned his Keyblade and threw a Strike Raid up to its face, making it stagger. He finally had the creature's attention as it turned to face him. "That's right, come and get me." He taunted, but quickly regretted it as it lifted up it's large arm and thrusted its fist down toward him. He and Moguri just barely Dodge Rolled out of the way, a pool of darkness forming where the fist had landed. Ritsuka took the chance to land a Sliding Dash on the fist and went on to land a few more strikes before it lifted its hand off the ground. It refocused on the girl, as she had been going for its weak spots , she managed to avoid being stomped on but she was unable to notice the hand that was about to pluck her out of the air.
"Look out!" He exclaimed. He leaped into the air and unleashed a Quick Blitz on the incoming arm, which just so happened to land on an aforementioned weak spot, completely severing the arm from the giant. The Heartless stumbled back in agony as its arm faded into nothingness. "Whoa, did I do that?" He said as he looked at his Keyblade with a puzzled expression, however he soon shook it off and refocused on the girl. "That was pretty close, you ok?"

The heartless hissed as it was struck by the keyblade. The keyblade harmed it far more then the katana did. As it's arm dissipated into darkness before fading it roared in pain. It growled and stabbed it's arm into the ground. The arm had a pool of darkness form around it and looking at the key blade wielder and girl dark pillars came up and began moving in a row. The pillars came between them knocking them apart. Pulling out it's hand it slammed it into the ground causing roof panels and stone to fly up. This made it another arm that would endure almost anything. It growled in what seemed like joy and charged the two. The new arm smashed at Ritsuka knocking him back. However they would be unable to escape through the buildings as the barrier formed a floor just beneath the roofs. This new ability showed this heartless wold recreate any limbs it lost till the whole of it's darkness body was destroyed. Each time it knew more and would be even more difficult to hit.
Karin didn’t even have time to reply as something hard knocked the wind out of her and sent her crashing to the ground. Grimacing, she looked up to see the monster now had a new arm that looked stronger than the last. Together, they hadn’t done more than scratch up the heartless’s armor. She took a second to glance at the boy: average height, black hair, looked to be no more than 15. In his hands lay a keyblade, gold at the ends with a black frame. Where had this boy come from?
Karin got back up on her feet and slowly turned to face the giant heartless. Pain shot through her side and she grabbed it, wincing. She could feel that she had thrown a rib out of place. “Ngh, Heal!” She muttered, clutching her hand tighter to her side. A cool, tingling sensation ran through her body and she instantly felt as strong as she did minutes ago. Still, her heart sank, what were they to do?
“Any suggestions? Where do we aim next?” She asked the boy.

Ritsuka brought up his Keyblade to block the strike, but the force of the new arm was too great and it sent him flying into the wall of a building. The impact caused great damage, he could barely stand.
"Ritsuka, CURE, kupo!" Moguri exclaimed as he held his sword up into the air, green energy flowing from it and into Ritsuka, healing him. Ritsuka stood back up, battle ready, and pondered the girl's inquiry. The arm was definitely out of the question, it was pretty much indestructible, but anywhere else was pretty much fair game. He saw that the armor on its legs seemed to be chipped away a good amount, and so decided to start there.
"I say we go for the legs." He finally answered stepping forward right inin the Heartless's line of sight. "I'll keep its attention, you chip away at what's left of the armor on its legs until the weak points are exposed, than I'll switch in and slice and dice. Once it's on the ground, we nail him in the face and torso." He relayed his plan to her as he dodged the "super fist" and shot a Fire spell at its face, blinding it momentarily. "Now, go!"

The heartless hissed as it's face was hit by the flames. It quickly wiped them away and turned it's attention to the boy. It stomped and roared at him and with claws raised charged. It began to hit him with unrelenting continuous strikes with it's claws. It would not stop slashing at him till it had him beaten and consumed.
"They seem to be struggling with this heartless. They would prove no problem if they cannot even deal with this. That keyblade wielder is young and weak. For now he is not a problem. But I should focus my endeavors where they are most necessary." Many other worlds where under heartless invasion some much more subtle and some with people who have accepted the heartless.
Meanwhile back at the battle the heartless wouldn't stop. Seeing how Ritsuka was dodging it moved it's head back and lunging it forward let out a shreaking attack. The attack sent vibrations in the air to stun him. With him stunned it slashed him back with it's shadow claw. It turned to where he was ready for another attacking. It seemed to have forgotten about Karin.

Karin nodded to him as she ran foreword for his legs. The boy seemed to be distracted by the now furious heartless. His attacks were relentless. Karin focused all her attacks to the heartless's giant legs, careful to not get trampled by them as it chased the boy around. At first it seemed that her attacks were doing nothing against him, but then she watched as the armor began to chip away. First in only small segments, but then large chunks bean to break off, revealing the dark ooze of the heartless's body. If it weren't for we upgraded kantana, her attacks would have been useless against him. She thanked Cid in her head and a smile spread across her face. They might actually have a chance! As long as the boy could finish off the heartless with his keyblade, traverse town might not fall to the darkness!
Karin didn't keep track of how long she was attacking the monsters feet, or how many times she had ran in circles, following the monster as it chased the boy. Finally though, the tough armor surrounding the monsters feet had been broken through. The heartless seemed unaware of the damage she caused as it attacked the boy.
"Lightening!" Karin called out, pointing her kantana at the monster's unprotected back. It let out another loud roar and took notice of Karin for the first time in awhile.
"Now boy! It's your turn!" Karin said as she backed up and held her kantana defensively, the heartless's fury directed at her.

Ritsuka was trying his best to keep himself alive while Karin attacked the legs. He blocked the normal hand with his Keyblade and had no choice but to dodged the "super hand's" powerful strikes, and luckily Moguri casted some support spells to help him out a bit, like Aero to give him some protection and Cure to heal whatever wounds he did get. He managed the get a few good strikes in on its lower torso, and even a combo or two, but it wasn't enough, he needed it to stay still for him to really get some good shots in. Luckily Karin managed clear the armor and so once Karin got its attention, it was time for Ritsuka to go to work. He took careful aim of the weak spots on the Heartless's legs and threw a Strike Raid directly at it, slicing off its left leg. It knelled down on its only remaining leg, processing what had just happened, but before it had the chance to react Ritsuka's Keyblade returned to him and he let loose a Quick Blitz that severed the other leg, forcing it to the ground. "Moguri, now, quick!" Ritsuka called to the Moogle. He complied and the two came together pointing their weapons at the downed Heartless.
"Gravity!" They cried as they let loose a double powered Gravity spell that pushed the Heartless firmly to the ground.
"This is our chance, hit it with everything you've got." he said as he charged the Heartless. The whole party continuously slashed at the Heartless wherever they could, Karin at the face to keep it disoriented and Ritsuka at the torso to try and expose the final weak spot. The Heartless riled in agony, it tried its hardest to break free of the Gravity, but with Karin slashing at its face, it couldn't focus long enough to do it, it was a sitting duck. Finally, the armor on its back broke off, revealing an orb of bluish black darkness that was holding the Heartless together, the Core. "Here we go!" Ritsuka leaped on its back, fully prepared to finish the job. He charged his Keyblade with electricity, let out one final cry, and hit the Core with a Spark Dive, destroying it. The Heartless suddenly stopped moving, lying limp on the ground before it faded away into nothingness, leaving only a stray heart that floated into the sky. Ritsuka took a moment to catch his breath before letting out a sigh of relief.
"We did it, we actually did it, kupo!" Moguri said with glee as he floated over to Ritsuka
"Yeah... yeah, we did, didn't we." Ritsuka replied, his fatigue fading and replaced with pride. "Showed that Heartless who's boss, not bad for our first mission huh?" He added as he fist bumped Moguri, it was his first major accomplishment as a Keyblade Wielder, he couldn't help but be excited, so much so that he all but forgot about the ninja present.

The heartless died with a roar as it's body fell and dissipated. The lone heart flew off being freed from the heartless. With the heartless defeated the barrier shattered and fell. The dark clouds above the town however remained. "They did it?" The entity behind it said. "How does this happen? No matter. Such a early attack could easily be countered. Other worlds will however be much more difficult for them to fight it. I shall focus my attention elsewhere. The heartless are collecting many hearts."
Traverse town remained empty from over 97% of it's population. What few people where left would without a doubt be wounded, scared and alone as most would be the remnants of families now broken. But this was not the problem. The other worlds in trouble would need help and there was a keyhole in the town that needed sealing. But this worked out well. The clouds where the heartless entered showed a slight glimmer of light could be seen. With the heartless all gone from the world it would be a safe place for people for now on.

"Karin!!" Yuffie said breathlessly as she ran up to Karin and embraced her. "I have to be honest I was sure you were going to die in there! If it wasn't for this keyblade wielder you probably would have.."
Karin glowered at Yuffie, but she knew she was right. Karin had always been more of an defensive player rather than offensive.
"I'm just glad traverse town was saved. At a cost for sure..." Karin said sadly as she looked around. A few stranglers had managed to survive. Karin had guessed that maybe roughly fifty people still had their hearts. Yet, they looked broken. Disheartened and worrisome, the people mingled around, looking for their loved ones. Empathy throbbed through Karin before she turned her head from them and looked at the boy. He seemed to be ecstatic about their win as he fist bumped his tiny friend. Karin walked over to him and stuck out her hand.
"Thanks for helping me. We haven't even been introduced yet. My name is Karin. What's your name? And where did you come from?" Karin didn't mean to come across as probing, more of a friendly conversation.
