Ok first off for those of you who do not know what the ice bucket challenge is:
"The Ice Bucket Challenge, sometimes called the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, is an activity involving dumping a bucket of ice water on one's head or donating to the ALS Association in the United States. It went viral throughout social media during the Northern Hemisphere summer of 2014.[1][2]
The challenge dares nominated participants to be filmed having a bucket of ice water poured on their heads. A common stipulation is that nominated people have 24 hours to comply or forfeit by way of a charitable financial donation"
And then to those of you who do not know what ALS is:
"Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), often referred to as "Lou Gehrig's Disease," is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. Motor neurons reach from the brain to the spinal cord and from the spinal cord to the muscles throughout the body. The progressive degeneration of the motor neurons in ALS eventually leads to their death. When the motor neurons die, the ability of the brain to initiate and control muscle movement is lost. With voluntary muscle action progressively affected, patients in the later stages of the disease may become totally paralyzed."
There is currently no cure for this disease.
This is the video of me doing the Ice Bucket Challenge and I forgot to challenge one particular person in the video:
[EDIT]
Copper_Dragon, you have 24hrs to do the challenge or donate $100 to ALS. Have fun.

Now's a good time for an RPR hiatus... just kidding I'll still be here... hiding.
It hit my workplace yesterday.
Copper_Dragon is on vacation with her family and has limited to no internet access.
Also, here's a site with more info on how to actually donate http://www.alsa.org/fight-als/ice-bucket-challenge.html
Although most of us won't have $100 to contribute, many may have $5 - $10 to spare, and every bit helps.

As luck would not have it, I'm in a semi wet and cold location. I'm having trouble being warm when I'm dry! so to compensate, I guess I'll be donating! Won't be home though for another few days though. Sorry, Insane!

Kim's health really doesn't allow her to be dunked with ice water. Why not donate anyway to a good cause because helping people in need is the right thing to do?

That is what I plan to do when I'm home. Maybe not $100 (yes I know how the challenge goes, but I have expenses due next month!) but I'm sure I have $30-40 to spare!

Yes, this. I also think that $100 is an odd buy-out price for non-celebs. It ensures almost everyone will HAVE to do the ice bucket rather than donate to charity, which is arguably the better option. I gave a smaller amount and then asked to be untagged in the challenge because neither stated options were real options for me.
EVERYONE NEEDS TO WATCH.
If you don't wanna see the guy in a bikini top and such then at least watch from 2:00 on!
EVERYONE NEEDS TO DONATE honestly I don't see the point of the whole Ice Bucket Challenge. By that I mean why challenge friends and such to dump & bucket of ice of their head OR donate? Why the OR? They should DONATE nevertheless even if its like a dollar.
At first the ice bucket challenge seemed silly to me, but it's actually quite effective. This challenge is spreading like wildfire over social media, which is quite influential. Looking at it, I think the ice bucket challenge is designed to raise money from those that don't wish to partake, and to raise awareness with those who do partake and continue the challenge. As it is, the ice bucket challenge has raised over forty million USD. Not to mention almost everybody I know now knows about ALS. I think it has done exactly what it was meant to do!
Lol nobody has challenged me... Maybe they fear my salary cant afford for me to chicken out xD

I think ALS is a great cause to donate to. It's a terrible disease that deserves more attention than it's ever gotten in the past and I'm really happy to see there are so many donations completely overwhelming the foundation for research!
However, I also hope people don't forget there are many, many other diseases that need continuous support and research as well.
I'm also starting to feel really weary from the whole "EVERYONE should donate!" mantra. It makes people who literally cannot spare a dollar feel bad. I've seen a lot of posts like this and some are downright nasty about people who don't donate. I'm currently surviving largely off donations from friends and family myself, so much that Nova even set up a small donation campaign for me. I literally cannot spare a dollar for any cause, and I know I'm not the only one, so please be careful with such statements. They make people feel terrible. If you can donate to any good cause I recommend it, but if you can't there's nothing wrong with it. I'm going to be doing volunteer work in the next couple of months so I can do something for a good cause, instead.

I love how my context is always taken out and taken in the wrong mannor. Ahem what I meant by everyone donate as in mainly the actors and such that are doing it and not even donating themselves or even pitting a link for others to. Next time I'll make it so people can understand what I mean. I have no spare money what so ever... hell I can barely get through each day but still.

Sorry. It sounded like you were talking to everyone. I've been running into a lot of posts everywhere where people get downright nasty about people not donating, so my hackles were a bit raised.
The funny thing is that the purpose of the challenge was originally to dump ice water on your head (raising awareness) AND donate 10 dollars. If you didn't do this (within 24 hours) you had to donate 100 dollars instead. However, due to people not explaining how the challenge works in their videos, most prominently celebrities, the whole thing didn't quite go as it should have and now people are claiming you either dump ice water on your head or donate, not both. As it was intended.
My mom tagged me, and she's scary and Italian, so I dumped ice water on myself.
I was planning on donating either way (and yes, I made sure to encourage people to do so in my video, as well as mentioning HOW to do so).
