Basically, make it so we can fetch a permalink to a post. It's useful for bug reporting, reporting offensive posts to moderators and helps people link other people to a specific RP post easily.

You can manually create a permalink to a post by copy and pasting the regular URL, like so:

http://www.rprepository.com/community/forumthread.php?t=1

And when you click on the "Reply" button, fetch the post ID from the URL:

/threadreply.php?t=1&p=165&q=1

And paste that behind the URL, like so:

http://www.rprepository.com/community/forumthread.php?t=1#165

Naturally this is a rather tedious process and most people don't even know they can do this. Permalinks should be fairly easy to implement. My suggestion for the permalink placement would be beneath the posted date, like:

Or perhaps even better, change the date of the post to the permalink:

Uhm... Just wondering if this post got overlooked since I posted it.

I HAVE been wondering why we don't have that feature, but I'm always all for it (mostly because I like to show off the witty and insightful things everyone has to say, but Sanne's reasons are equally as good if not better!)

I like this idea. It makes it a cleaner way to link to RP threads when you want your friends to join, point out specific important plot posts, whatever.

Of the two ways you suggested, I prefer the "link to this post" one. It's a lot more obvious. Making the date clickable isn't intuitive to me, and makes me think it'll go to some kind of calendar widget.

Sorry, I totally saw this, I've just had less time for responding and working on RPR stuff than I would really like. I think it would definitely be handy. I'll see what I can do.
