Artemis sat down in the cockpit of the ship, they were scheduled for several stops at several planets. She was hired to help set up peace treaties and bring gifts of good faiths to rising planets, showing them how space alliances would help them. The crew should be waking up. The black devices covering her ears glistened in the light of a star as they went passed it. Her hood was down, and she pressed a button.
Throughout the ship, mainly in quarters, the metal closed blinds that kept light from space coming in went up with a loud metallic sound. That should wake up the crew. Artemis sighed, she was worried about the next planet they were scheduled to visit.

The ship was heading towards Nabia Prime. It housed a very unique species. They greatly resembled Dinosaurs. Only difference was they were all covered in down feathers, not just a few breeds, but the entire species. They also claim to have been capable of space flight for some time.
Several Saurosapien ships approached Artemis' ship to escort her to the planet's surface, and to their capital city, Virong.
Several Saurosapien ships approached Artemis' ship to escort her to the planet's surface, and to their capital city, Virong.
Artemis guided the large orange, blue, black, and white ship to comply. She made sure everything she wore was in order. She didn't need to make peace with an alien species while being a poor example of humans after all. If they knew what humans looked like, and what they did, they might be offended by her ear devices, which can easily be mistaken for high tech headphones. She looked over her suit, deeming it is good enough. She quickly stretched herself as she got near the planets surface, ready to land.
The ships guiding Artemis landed. The landing pad was crawling with odd creatures, most resembling some form of Pterrasaur, with four eyes, long head feathers of various colors, walking bipedally, and being covered in down feathers.
After artemis' ship landed a drab blue Saurosapien approached the ship. It had a square shaped crest on its head, long primary feathers and wore little human-like clothing. It was called an Ovir, a breed of Ornitho, that often took up roles in ploitics.

Artemis took a deep breath as she stepped off the ship. She approached the Ovir, trying to stay as balanced and proper-looking as possible. "Greetings." She said as she approached. "I am Artemis, a member of this fine ship." She motioned towards the ship behind her. "It is a pleasure to meet you."
"As is with you alien."The ovir said, bowing down, flaring the long Comm Feathers out in a fan like motion, and spreading its arms out horizontally. This was a common greeting on the planet. "My name is Varos, and I will be your guide during your stay on this planet."The blue ovir said. It sounded male, though it was hard to tell. The only way to tell Saurosapiens apart gender wise was by their natural pheromones and in a few cases size. The Ovir turned, motioning for Artemis to follow it. Further ahead on the path were two larger Saurosapiens, both being Theras. The smaller of the two had two red crests on its head, and was incredibly thin, this particular Saurosapien was of the Dilopho breed. The one next to it was much larger. Its snout was long, having a raised ridge running down its back and a massive thumb claw, this one being a Baryo. Both were clearly soldiers and waited for Artemis.
Artemis nodded, going into step behind it. She looked around as she walked, studying the various species, trying to find what each gender looked like. Once she realized she honestly couldn't tell, she moved her attention to the guards. She was unarmed, as she didn't think anything would happen during her stay here.
"I will admit, having an alien here and guarding one is really... uh... odd. To say the least."The Dilopho said, holding an arm canon in its long gangly arms. "No offecnes intended of course."He added quickly. Artemis was one of the few aliens allowed onto Nabia Prime, and the first human for sure. The other guard remained silent. "We hope you enjoy your stay here human. Once we arrive at the lodge any accommodations you may require will be met."Varos said. Given the size of several of the Saurosapiens in the area, the blue Ovir was surprisingly small. Down one road was a large building, having a large crowd out in front of it. It was more like a mob actually. Varos let out a hiss when he saw the crowd. "I am deeply sorry. I was unaware that any trials would be occuring today, other wise I would have scheduled a different lodge and landing bay for you to arrive on." Varos said looking at the large crowd.
Slowly the crowd started to split. A very large Saurosapien, specifically a Tyranno, was walking through, dragging a smaller one behind it. After it got out of the crowd it tossed the smaller one out. It was odd looking, even by saurosapien standards. It had the feet and tail of the raptor-like Dromaea, the head and coloration of a Dilopho, and the body and arms of a Tyranno.

"I never really thought of other species considering me an alien." Artemis said. "And please, call me Artemis." Her eyes wandered to the mob, watching the 'trial' unfold. Her gaze remained for once, trying to discern what was unfolding. "Your.. Culture, definitely appears interesting. Definitely unique."
Valros would have sneered if his kind relied on facial reactions. "I thank you for the complement Miss Artemis. May we please continue to the lodge? I was not only unaware that a trial was taking place, but it is even worse knowing that it's one of those Trials" He said angrily glaring at the odd-looking Saurosapien, with his feathers flayed out some. The Dilopho fought to resist the urge of heaving up the contents of his stomach. Dilophos vomited as a form of self defense and attack. The Baryo seemed much mroe relaxed about the trial than the Dilopho and Valros, he seemed more worried about the crowd. "With all due respect Valros, do you mind showing a bit more civility. She may be different but she's one of us"The Baryo said in an old and very deep voice. "Watch your tongue"Valros snapped back. The odd looking Saurosapien slinked away from the crowd, not looking back at them, or even looking up, accidentally bumping into Artemis.
"Oh, sorry."She said, backing up some with her Comm Feathers flat against the back of her neck. "Watch where you're going you vile Amalgamation."Valros said angrily. His attitude was quite surprising. He only stood up to Artemis's waist, and was snapping at a Saurosapien that stood a few feet over Artemis when standing straight up. "Uh...s-sorry..." The Saurosapien said.

Artemis found this display very strange. Normally people that were short wouldn't act so... Aggressive to people larger than them. She decided to idly watch instead of interfering. She noted how the various types of these aliens interacted. There seemed to be a social hierarchy among them. She continued walking with the guide.
"I'll make sure she gets to her home safely."The Baryo said, giving a display similar to the one the Valros gave earlier, before motioning for the hybrid to lead him to her home. "I am deeply sorry about that. Classless hybrids like that aren't very common on this planet."Valros said, giving off a series of light squawks, sounding more like squeaks than anything, try to apologize profusely.
After a couple of minutes the trio arrived at the lodge. It was a large and very high-tech looking building. Valros handed Artemis a card. "You will need this to get into your room, Miss Artemis. Otherwise the employees may mistake you for some commoner. Now that wouldn't be too big of a deal if you had enough credits, but given your status as an alien, they might not want to let you inside. Our government has a very very strict class based structure and they fear that the introduction of aliens may throw the social structure off balance."Valros replied. "Ykarros here will remain with you. Should you lose your card he will most certainly be enough to indicate your status as a guest to the Saurosapien empire. If you need anything, contact me on this Comm link." Valros said handing Artemis another card with some odd symbols on it. "I hope you enjoy your stay. Tomorrow you will be met by a Dromaea, specifically a Utah named Baryxx. You'll knwo it's him because he will have down feathers that are very bright green, with red and blue stripes on his tail fan and primary feathers."Valros said before leaving.

Artemis nodded and payed careful attention to what was said, nodding as she did so. "I see, thank you very much." She said as he left. She put the cards in a small pocket under her right arm. She walked to her room, using her card to get in. She let out a small sigh, relaxing some as she does so. She pulls out a small device, putting it on a small desk. She clicked a button on it, before walking away from it.
"FIST Survival Tips and Rules. This pre-recorded message should be played on a bi-weekly bases.
FIST Personnel Rule Number One: Body inspections for parasitic or other curious markings are to be made once a week by said person, and once every two weeks by another person.
Artemis pressed a button on her chest piece, opening it up. She took off her gear piece by piece, leaving her in a grey set of comfortable clothes, with an image in black of two turning lines, vaguely resembling a tower.
FIST Personnel Rule Number Two: Do not question FIST Personnel who wear devices on various parts of their bodies such as their ears or eyes. These Personnel most likely are a sub-species of their main species, and their bodies have a certain function that is no longer useful off of their planet."

Ykarros looked back into the room. "What's that?"He asked curiously.
"FIST Survival Tip Number One: If stranded on a planet with animals, observe what you would hunt before hunting it. Often times species low on the food chain develop defenses, so try to be aware of them. Stay observant, stay safe."
"FIST regulations. I'm supposed to listen to the tapes twice a week. Thing is, they are outdated, and the newer tapes have had a hard time getting around. I haven't had another crew member inspect me for parasites or sickness for the last three years. The ships A.I. Takes care of it." Artemis replies, checking a mirror. Her hair, while striking, was short by human standards.

"Hmmm. Why not just update them then?" Ykarros asked.
"The company is very old styled, a lot of it is just common sense. They know that we have enough brains to do these things already, so they don't have the updates on high priority. I don't think some of it makes much sense either. People are curious, why wouldn't they ask about an ear or eye device someone has?" She replies. "As someone who has one, it doesn't bother me when someone asks about it."
"Hmm."Ykarros said, leaning out of the room.

A bright green utah walked down the hallway. His clothing was odd, atleast to a human it would be. The chest was hard but smooth. IT had a collar(Think turian back frill thing) that went up off the chest plate. The rest of his body was covered in a "robe". The robe covered all of the Utah's upper body, having short sleeves, and a long neck that went up the Utah's neck. The back of it went down the back and halfway down the tail. IT was predominantly brown.
Te Utah knocked at the door with the talon on his big toe.
