The group moved forward rather quickly, stepping through the sea of redwood. The aliens were talking in a foreign language, looking around constantly. They were approaching where the pod landed.

The pod soon came into view. At was clearly a one man craft, with the cockpit open, having split and slid apart down the middle. The ship was of some unusual design, not seen by any, atleast not nowadays. A historian might recognize it as an ancient scouting vessel.

None of the aliens, nor Artemis, recognized what the ship was. The aliens spoke a few works, moving forward around the craft. They occasionally said words to each other, most likely words meaning 'all clear' or 'nothing here.' Artemis stayed where she was, trying to process where the person inside would have gone.

Saraxx noticed odd foot prints near her. She lowered her head, sniffing of them. The print gave off a metallic scent. She looked in the direction they led, seeing the prints go into the brush. "Hey. I found some prints."Saraxx said to Artemis.

Artemis walked over, crouching down. She looked over them, looking at how fresh they were, where they were going, how deep they were, etc. She was in deep thought, and didn't respond. The aliens continued their search around and in the ship.

Saraxx looked up, seeing a yellow mass barely visible through the brush. Had she been seeing the standard light spectrum the mass would've gone completely unnoticed. "I see something."She said. Several blasts of energy fired from the mass's location, several hitting the ship, with its shielding protecting from the damage. A few blasts hit the aliens.

The Aliens retreat to the other side of the vessel, firing energy shots back at the attacker. The ones hit with the shots fall, and don't get back up. Artemis starts running, trying to get to cover behind some trees on the other side of the clearing. She starts taking her rifle off her back, trying to get the oddly shaped weapon in her hands and ready to fire.

"It's Gone!"Saraxx shouted, forgetting to mention that she saw anything. She quickly retreated into the brush with Artemis. Saraxx looked around the area frantically trying to find what, or who ever shot the blasts. "I-I can't find it!"She said to Artemis. A few more blasts fired at the Aliens, with the attacker having relocated itself on the same side as the ship.

Artemis got low to the ground, pressing several buttons on the rifle she was holding. She tried aiming it through the foliage, but she couldn't find any gaps. She cursed, trying to stay hidden. The aliens, the few that were left, continued shooting, running to the other side of the ship.

Several blasts broke through the foliage, with metal clanks being heard. Saraxx was also having a hard time seeing, being un able to see anything short of the light purple foliage around her. Soon the attacker made their way to the other side of the ship, finally stepping out of the foliage. It was some kind of droid, clearly a war droid based on the weapons it had for its hands. Its blasters returned to hands, pullng some kind of block off of its back. The block shifted and unfolded, revealing a rifle. It aimed, shooting a burning glob of green energy at one of the aliens.

Artemis raised her rifle. Two small oval shaped things popped out next to the scope of the gun. They each had three small orbs, colored orange. As she aimed, looking in the scope, the bottom two orbs lit up blue. She pulled a small level near end of the rifle. The two middle orbs lit up orange. She held her breath. The final two lit up blue. As the bullet fired, the video for it's making going through her mind.

The F.I.S.T. Flag was shown on the screen as Artemis, and three other new recruits sat inside the dark room. An image of an older version of the gun came up on the screen.

"The new F.I.S.T. Pulse Rifle! A weapon of such devastating power and accuracy that very little can survive a direct hit." The male announcer said on the screen. A small clip played, replacing the image of the gun. A standard, heavily geared sniper was shown holding the rifle in a gun range. The video zoomed in, as the two black oval things popped out of the gun near the scope.

They lit up, this version of the gun had them all orange, other versions had them all blue, or a variation of asymmetrical kinds. They lit up rather quickly, showing how many times this one person had re-done this take for speed. The camera moved along the long barrel of the rifle, until it reached the end. A small signal, one that showed that the video was slowed down appeared on the lower right side of the screen.

The bullet emerge, or, what could be considered a bullet. The bullet was a bright orange, and was surrounded by a blue energy. The camera followed it as it lurched forward, until it dug itself into the vaguely human wooden target. The camera remained for a moment, before a light blue energy was seen in a ball around where the bullet struck, the chest, on a humanoid.

The ball began to retract, as if it had its own gravity. The head of the dummy lurched forward, having joints like an actual body part, and so did the arms. A snap was heard as the time was sped back up to normal speed, and the ball had retracted to where the bullet had landed. A brutal effect, it could shatter and bend bones, simple yet effective.

Oop: What kind of weapons are the aliens using? If i'm right Artemis' pulse rifle is ballistic, and Sarrax's Arm canon is Laser based.


The Bullet hit the Droid. It seemed to hit an invisible barrier as the shockwave from the bullet rippled in a tight oval around the droid. The force of the bullet hitting its shield made it staggerb ack several feet. It looked at Artemis, with its five yellow eyes locking onto her, ignoring the aliens and Saraxx. "Target acquired."It said. It tuned, facing Artemis with its arms falling to its side. The plates on its chest shifted, splitting and moving, revealing a canon that soon stuck out. "Bio Displacement Canon charging"The droid said. "That doesn't look good...."Saraxx said. After a few moments a bright yellow light slowly began to push its way out of the canon, before a bright yellow beam blasted out.

Oop2: NOTE The bio displacment canon is Xeres' most powerful weapon on Organics. I certainly don't plan on using it too often for obvious reasons, and I do plan for Xeres to be captured after the canon is used. I don't care if Artemis dodges, or another Alien pushes her out of the way, which ever's up to you, either way it's not gonna hit her.

OOC: The Aliens are using Plasma. Artemis' Rifle is a type of ballistic, that 'tricks' gravity into thinking it has a much higher mass than it actually has, giving it the effect of a temporarily high gravity.

IC: Artemis' eyes widened, and she frantically rolled to the left. The beam barely missed her, scraping through the armor on her left arm, and burning some of her flesh. It could be fixed with one of the F.I.S.T. Medical Droids, but for now, it hurt like hell. Artemis screamed, grabbed at her wounds.

Surprisingly, short of a scorch mark, the armor was left relatively unharmed. The foliage behind Artemis and Saraxx however was a different story. The trees had fallen over, with much of their trunks having seemingly been vaporized. The bushes had perfectly round pieces cut out, and a few animals were caught in the blast, some having been vaporized, not even leaving ashes, while others were cleanly cut in half, dying almost instantly. "T-Target Ac-Ac-Acquired"The droid said with its lights flickering. Its hand shifted into a blaster, and it raised its arm. The blaster began to charge up, before its charge dissipated. "Power level.. at...... Zero.......percent........"The droid said. The lights on its body flickered off and the droid fell onto the ground with a clank, having run out of energy.

Artemis slowly stood up, before walking over, putting her rifle on her back. "Huh.." She said. "...Then we should get this thing back to the ship. The negotiations can wait until the shock of this with the public has passed." She ordered a few of the remaining aliens to help her bring the robot back to the ship. As they did, Artemis walked with Saraax.

Saraxx's Comm Feathers were flat against the back of her neck, looking at the clearing made by the blast. "B-By the precursors...."She said, in utter shock and fear. "I-I've never seen anything like that..."She said.

Oop: I imagine Xere's bio displacement weaponry would've gone out of production when his creators died out.

"It's nothing that new." Artemis said after a moment. "We can figure out what this thing is, what it wants, and what it just did later." She added. "Destruction isn't something that surprises me anymore. Human history tends to be very.." Artemis thinks back to the various wars and restrictions that human civilizations force themselves to follow, and why they do it. "..Violent."

"So is Saurosapien history... but I've never seen or heard about anything even remotely like that..."She said. "Do you think it might be wise to scan for radiation?"Saraxx asked.

"I'll tell the officials before we leave to do so." Artemis replied. "It's no atomic bomb, it won't do any major damage." She adds. "...Do you know how many human colonies started because people wanted to escape the violent human issues on Earth? Countless. Most of them are just remnants, if anything is still left. Dead dreams, brought down by what they wanted to escape by."

Saraxx shook her head. "No I haven't heard of any human colonies."She said. "Do your wars end with the victor eating the losers as well?"She asked.
