It’s a warm day at the airport where a mix of 6 students are standing on the tarmac, waiting to board a small private plane. They were selected to go on a field trip to a survival training camp. For some of them, this will be their first time meeting each other, some are already close. One teacher and a previous student loyal to his Alma Mater, have agreed to chaperone the trip. Luggage has already been packed away and now everyone is just waiting to board, having only their carry-ons with them.

Raven Ice looked around at his classmates, flipping his long white braid over his shoulder and hoisting his backpack higher up the other. He recognized a few of these people; they'd been in his class, he was sure of that, but he'd never talked to any of them. None of his brothers were here and that made him uneasy. He recognized one of the teachers, but he'd never been in his class or met him personally, and he was rather glad for it; the bandages around his face creeped him out so he'd never even gone near the man either. The only one he didn't recognize was the other chaperone. So... He stepped toward this new person, standing behind him and sizing him up. He didn't look too threatening so he walked around him to face him.
"Hey. I haven't seen you before. Are you a teacher at our school?"
"Hey. I haven't seen you before. Are you a teacher at our school?"
Atticus gave a quick head count to everyone there. All the children were present, as was the other chaperone. He looks down at his bandages, he changed them before he got here, it was always better to be clean than comfortable. The first few hours were never very comfortable though. God gave him the will to live, and the means to do so. Who was he to defy it? He adjusted the strap of the bag on his back.
Jenny was standing next to Alexia, with a backback on and holding another bag. The two had known each other for a while and were close friends. Even if she wouldn't admit, Jenny had developed a crush on Alexia after they became friends, though she wasn't exactly subtle about it. Alexia had an aggrivated look on her face, impatiently tapped her foot and holding her hands on her hips. "How long until we go?"She asked with a British accent being noticeable in her voice.
The school had asked him to do it to help him with his credits, which was the only reason he had agreed to it in the first place. He wasn't a people sort of person and never had been because of all the questions he usually got asked by the other student at the collage he went to. It was probably also because he was going to a local collage as well that they asked him. Colin stood watching over the students with his arms across his chest. His only hope was that all went well and he could get back and go back to his research for his paper.
His thoughts were only interrupted by a kid who had circled around from his back. Turning his eyes towards the kid he shook his head slightly. "No. I graduated four years ago, I was asked to come help out with the trip."
Nova on the other hand was sitting a good space away from everyone by himself, flipping though a book he had brought along with him. He had been forced to take his medicine at least once before he went on the trip and he wasn't too happy about that. It tasted horrible and never really helped much besides that. His guardians however thought it would be good for him to take the trip as well as take his meds per the school's request. They even sent him with just enough to make until he got back, like he would take them.

Ema glanced about the group with a small curiosity, she knew Abe, and she recognized one of the chaperones, and she'd seen some of these people in the halls, but that was about it. She was hoping to find someone more interesting than the thick book on the history of vaccines she'd brought with her, or the copy of Ulysses she felt almost obligated to read due to it's infamy for being difficult, but so far she was at a loss. Not that these people weren't interesting, but some seemed to already be grouped together, the chaperones were just that, and one of the group was reading, a task she wouldn't interrupt no matter how curious she was about the title she couldn't see. Suppressing a sigh, she glared at her copy of Ulysses, it was difficult to her less because it was hard and more because she'd lost interest somewhere around the third page and was now only reading to say she'd finished it. Still, she wasn't going to start on the other book until Ulysses was over with and she would have no more of Mr. Leopold Bloom today. Thus the book returned to her bag and she once again looked about, attempting to determine which stranger she'd introduce herself to and whether she should just pull her book back out and attempt to get it over with.
Abe was standing there on the tarmac bored out of his mind. The ground around them was completely flat. 'You could of at least given me something to jump off of...' he thought to himself as he looked around at the others that were waiting as well. He walked up behind Ema and took a candy bar from her bag while she was distracted. He then walked in front of her, taking a bite of the bar. "So." he said, looking towards the others. "Shall we attempt to socialize?"
Raven looked surprised. He wouldn't have expected the school to ask for outside help from anyone other than a parent of one of the students going. This guy must be either very smart, or very strict. He shuffled the way he was holding his bag as it had started to tug on his waist length hair uncomfortably. He'd sort of like to cut it short but he was also kinda proud of how long it had grown.
"Four years? So you would have been graduating the year I started here. Thats cool... I guess none of the other teachers wanted to deal with us trouble makers and...well I guess we must be the weird ones or something." He said with a glance around to everyone else. Everyone here seemed to be rather eccentric in appearance in one way or another, even the teacher. What sort of standards had they selected this group by?
"Well, you must have been eager to go if you volunteered for this weird ass trip. Oh, sorry." He hadn't meant to curse but he was a bit tired of waiting

Ema turned around and threw her friend a glare when she recognized her candy, "I was saving that!"
She sighed, that probably wasn't going to make him put it back. The little blonde stuck out her hand, "Break it in two and give me the half you didn't take a bite out of."
Ema laughed a little, "Read my mind. Any suggestions? They all look about as peculiar as we are... and I'm pretty sure that's not a good thing."
She glanced to Abe, "Actually, which ones look like they'd mind us butting in the least? We'll just go talk to them."

"So when is this plane gonna get here?"Alexia asked impatiently. "I dunno. Hopefully won't be long..."Jenny replied. She glanced around the small group, the only person she really knew was Alexia. "Sooooo, who all do we know here? Aside from Alexia?"Boomy asked. "I don't think we know anyone besides Alexia."Jenny said. "Brain siblings?"Alexia asked. Jenny nodded. Unlike many others with her condition, she wasn't exactly quiet about it, often holding conversations with herself.
Atticus did another quick head count. A very strange group indeed. He was a history teacher, and history had its moments. The kids are chatting, occupied, and the plane should be there soon. "So." He coughed, addressing the group of kids. "Any questions before we leave?"
Eager? No not really, far from it. Though that didn't matter all that much. Colin's eyes flicked up looking around at the students for a moment, before taking a quick glance at the teacher from the school that was going with them as well. The boy was right the group of them all had something odd about them, some standing out more then others, mainly him with just his one eye being oddly colored. "Not really. I need credits to finish the year to go on to graduates school and got offered to do this." He replied.
Nova got a scowl on his face when the noise started to reach him. He couldn't read like that and everyone including those not even in their group was talking. With a huff he shut the book with a loud snap of the pages together, before he stuffed the book back into his bag. What was he going to do now that he could no longer concentrate.

Abe broke a third of the bar, the end he bit off of, and gave Ema the rest. "As consolation." he said. He then turned back to her. "Time for you to read my mind. Should we even attempt to be social? Though if any, those two girls over there look nice enough, so we could try talking to them..."
When the teacher asked if there were any questions before they leave, Abe looked over at Ema to see if she had any questions since he didn't.

Not at all eager, it seemed. So he was only doing this for credit. Raven could already hear one of his brothers voice in his head. 'Can you even trust him?' He ignored it; his brothers own paranoia seemed to be rubbing off on him. "Extra credit for traveling to a training camp with a bunch of kids? Sounds pretty easy. All you gotta do is keep us from killing each other. Don't think that'll be too hard." Seeing as, at first glance, not a single one of them looked violent. He turned his head, looking over his shoulder when the teacher called to them. Huh. He didn't sound scary. Maybe his brother had been wrong about him too.
He raised a deathly pale hand, turning to fully face the group. "Yeah, do we need to buddy up? Like when I went to camp and stuff, they always make us go in teams so no one got lost or whatever."

"Yes, choose the person you want to sit next to on the planet. Groups of two or three." His voice sounded a bit scratchy. "If you think someone wandered off, but you aren't sure, tell me anyway. Better safe than sorry."
"Well I think we already know whose sitting next to me."Alexia said. "Soooo when we get back would you want to go-"."No. For the last time I'm not interested."Alexia responded, having cut Jenny off before she could finish her question. She already knew what Jenny was going to ask. Had it not been Jenny, Alexia would've punched her in the face. Thankfully for Jenny Alexia was more tolerant to her than nearly everyone else. "How come you never say yes to going on a date?"Jenny asked frustrated. Alexia sighed. She'd lost track of how many times she'd explained her reasons to Jenny. "For the hundredth time, first I'm straight, second, even if you were a guy or I was one I'm not interested in you in that way, we're just friends. Christ I've lost track of howmany times I've explained this to you..."Alexia said, equally frustrated.
She took the chocolate, "Shouldn't have to, have consolation in the form of my own candy, but thank you."
Ema nodded, "Decision made then." ,she shouldered her bag and started towards the other girls, "Come on Abe, the plane leaves soon, lets get our pre-class socialization out of the way."
She glanced up when questions were asked for, but shrugged, she wasn't really interested in what he was looking to explain at the moment. The little blonde, grabbed Abe's sleeve, and gave him a serious stare, "Don't let me get eaten by bears Abe. I'll kill you if you let me get eaten by bears."
She cracked a smile, "Now, onto the obligatory socialization."

Well that answered that. He lowered his hand and looked around. Seemed that for the most part, everyone was already teamed up with someone, or at least they were mostly standing in twos, save for the teacher and the teal haired boy. He really didn't care who he was teamed up with as long as they weren't annoying.
He couldn't help the way his hearing trained on the two girls chatting with one another. "Oh how wonderful" He thought sarcastically "That's exactly what we need. A love struck lesbian hitting on her best friend. That'll make this tons of fun." He didn't have anything against them, but if they started arguing over it, he may just have to throw something heavy at someone. He was trying really hard not to be judgmental, to keep his mind open that first impressions weren't always the truth, like his other brother tried to convince the rest of them. Really, he was trying.

Abe gave a small laugh and shook his head slightly. "Don't worry, they'll most likely go after me before thinking about going for you." he said, giving her a slight nudge. "But I most likely won't be the first choice either." When they got over to the two girls, Abe gave a small wave. "Hi, uh, I'm Abe and this is Ema. We just figured we might as well socialize with other people so that its not just several small groups, but at least a few small-ish groups..." he trailed off before picking up again. "Sorry, I don't socialize much. Never really found a good use for it..."
Jenny huffed, digging her older brother's 3Ds out of her pocket, flipping it on and starting up one of his game, clearly pissed at Alexia. Alexia rolled her eyes. Jenny always got liek this, but usually got over it after a few minutes. "Your brother let you borrow that?"Alexia asked. Jenny nodded. "Why don't you have your own?"She asked. "Nope. Didn't ask for one last Christmas, and I have a hard time saving up."Jenny responded. "Oh boy. People."Alexia groaned when she noticed Ema and Abe heading over. "I'm Jenny, nice to meet you."Jenny said after the two had gotten over to her and Alexia. Alexia let out an irritated sigh, pulling her phone out and flipping through it. "And that's Alexia. She can be kinda bitchy sometimes."Jenny said. "And you can be rather annoying sometimes."She responded to Jenny.
