Donnie crossed his arms as she explained the bet. Finger would tap chin as if he really had to think about it. "You're on..." He would say, taking her hand in his. "Don't think I'm going to go easy on you because you are a girl.." He teased, giving a wink at the end of the sentence. He let go and tucked his helmet under his arm. "Let me know if you need help moving..." He would say, turning with a smile as her words 'newly found friend', stuck with him as he walked down the hallways to his apartment.
She chuckled gebgly taking one last look, before deciding to get he r thing a from her apartment. She locked the door tightly and walked to her apartment. She knew the art supplies would take the longest, so she began with her cloths and personal items. She smiled as she packed her bags and headed back to the new apartment, happy to get it livable once more.
Donnie spent most of the next day lounging around in his place. Normally he would be out, catching up on some errands. But for some reason he decided to lay low today. He was sure that maybe she would swing by eventually and ask for help. It was around lunchtime that he decided he should dive into his books and rid the rest of the week of papers and projects. Fun times, indeed.
At about noon there was a curt, but loud knock on his door. The other side revealed Siena with a box of about twenty paints, and brushes of all sizes in her mouth. She mumbled through their wooden handles nodding her head to the other side of the hall.she wanted him to follow. When they came to her room she kicked it open with her foot and carefully set the box down. Removing the brushes from her mouth to speak she grinned. "ready to get your buttons kicked diaper baby?" she teased opening a can of black paint and grabbed a thin brush.
Donnie was lost in numbers and math and all the things he really hated when all of a sudden his focus was shattered with a single knock. He held back a chuckle as she tried to articulate directions to him. He would only nod and follow her down the hallway. He stepped into the sunlit apartment and smirked a bit at her threat. Donnie would only lift a brush and smile. "Oh, sweetheart, your confidence tickles me..."
She chuckled setting everything down at her feet. "and your ego matches." she grinned at him popping open a black can, dipping the thin brush into it. "so get painting buddy boy. Or no lunch for you." she said beginning to drag her brush across the wall.
Donnie could only grin as he copied her; dipping his brush into grey paint. He dragged his brush across the surface, his mind getting lost in the inspiration as he continued. It was almost like a Pollack, but not quite, one could see a pair of rabbit ears hidden within the piece. But there was something peaceful about the otherwise chaotic piece. He continued, not caring at all that he was splattering his favorite jeans. It took him all of 45 minutes to finish his piece before plopping his brush down and crossing his arms with a very satisfied look on his face.
She was still working on her end. It appeared to be a large silhouette of a tree. A large one. In the background it was fading from green to blue, to yellow. She had a couple other silhouettes with the tree, including a small flower growing from the floor up, and a small garden chair. She had black paint smudged in her hair, and across her forehead, probably from wiping her face with the back of her hand.
Donnie managed to steal a glance over his shoulder at the work she was doing. Funny. The two had completely different artistic styles and somehow the two pieces complimented each other. He stood there, silently watching her. He couldn't help but notice the absolute passion she had for her art. It almost made him scoff and shake his head, thinking about how she was going to throw it all away into the sea.
(sorry for the late reply. I'm still here.)
Siena sighed gently and rubbed her face looking at it. She turned to look at his. She gave a fond smile. "I like it... It looks nice... " she whispered looking back at hers.
