Small feet scraped along the snowy ground as the small woman made her way through the forest, damp and chilly with the last few bursts of winter still laying heavily across the land. Hither and thither the woman would find patches of already melting snow, and hopped around them, playing a silent game with herself and enjoying the small amount of entertainment brought on from it. A small smile crossed her features as she hopped on her way, the white powder crunching under her heavy boots with each step.
Hair as white as the snow that graced the ground shifted with her movements, kept short save for two strips of hair behind each ear, that and three small tufts that topped her small head. Blackstar was childish in most aspects, face round and bright, short in height, and a giggle to top the cake. Her skin was also snowy white in colour, and looked powdery to the touch. She was scrawny in build, thought the black leather jacket that covered even her knees did a decent job of making her look slightly bulkier.
Stopping to catch her breath, she looked to the sky, white eyes sparkling at the clouds that shifted over her. Losing herself in a game of cloud shapes, Blackstar bumped into a tree, giving a startled grunt accompanied by a glare to the giant evergreen. Huffing, she moved along, sure to pay attention to her path this time.

A large creature stalking around the forest. It was a large brown... Hyena? What was a Hyena doing in the middle of a forest in winter. It remained relatively silent, stalking a few deer, surprisingly going unnoticed.
A loud roar suddenly shook the forest, making the trees shiver and snow fall from their branches, and every living thing went eerily silent, as of waiting for an explosion or something terrible.
There was no sound for about ten seconds besides the soft thuds of snow hitting the ground before the roar came again, this time closer yet somehow weaker. Merely moments later, the ground shook once then went still after a few seconds and in the near distance, the sound of trees breaking and creaking could be heard.
If Blackstar went to investigate, she would discover a massive, feathery best laying on its side in an impact crater bigger than a house. The dirt of the crater was burned and the creature within was breathing heavily, several spears sticking out of his hide.

The Hyena tracked the sound down to its source. It looked in surprise by the giant bird. "What is that?"It thought to itself.
