Saraxx stood up, looking in the direction the sound originated. Veelkor was up aswell, though he'd, surprisingly, flown to the top of the ship.

After the Caretaker's question had been subtly answered, he joined the two as he perched his head toward the jungles. There stood strange alien creatures, though these beings were completely different to the natives that had been seen before. These creatures were blatant offworlders. Three of these upright beings wore light Kevlar armour that masked their entire body. Only their crustacean faces were exposed to the sun, as they moved their mouthparts to babble alien gibberish. On their armour was a crest of blue star, with three illegible letters, obviously standing for something. Armed with plasma rifles, and a strange chainsaw like blade, the aliens began to cut down the large jungle trees, the thud of a falling tree being the source of the loud bang.

The fourth of the crew however, was even more strange looking than the others. A tall, black drone with a green visor, armed with a very dangerous looking sharpshooter rifle. This being did not bear the crest that the others did and did not engage in the babbling, remaining completely silent as the alien creatures forcefully cut down the jungle trees.

"I think we may have found the answer to the question regarding this planet's status as a 'vacation world'" Xiara spoke, attempting to humour himself.

"Should we just go up and try and talk to them?"Saraxx asked. "Do they even Speak galactic standard?"Veelkor asked from his perch.

"I do not know, I do not understand the translation of the emblem those beings wear. They look like mercenaries, aside from drone. That machine carries a familiar air to it, though it could just be a helper." Xiara answered. "It is best that we do remain on our guard, mercenaries do not expect fellow visitors on some isolated vacation planet."

As the three of them spoke, the mysterious drone accompanying the ignorant mercenaries turned it's thin, elongated head. It gazed eerily at the ship, not making another sound or movement, only a cold stare.

Saraxx looked at the android. "Well I think the robots seen us."She said.

As the machine gazed upon the three, it gave a strange gesture. Moving it's sharp digits across what appeared to be it's collar bone. It was almost as if the machine was warning it's onlookers as it moved back toward it's supposed 'leaders,' of who were blatantly ignorant of what had just transpired. The drone-like bot returned to it's statue-like self as the aliens continued to deforest the jungles, probably destroying much of the wildlife at the same time.

"Hmm... We had best act. Something tells me that those workers are in danger, if what I think is true." The Actarian warned.

"In danger of what?"Saraxx asked. "Well, I'll stay here and guard the ship"Veelkor said, not being much of a fighter.

Oop: You got any plan of what happens to the mercenaries?

"Very well then, we need someone to keep this place in check." The Actarian replied. "I have a feeling that those soldiers are simply puppets. Something gnaws at me, for that robot may be more than just some simple drone." Xiara crept down toward the large rocks beside the cliffs away from the eyes of the mercenaries, as well as the drone.

(The mercenaries are unknowing thralls to an ancient machine, the drone, who is most certainly going to kill them once they outlive their usefulness, I have a plan for them being part of a criminal syndicate however)

Saraxx followed. "See ya in a while."Veelkor said, climbing to the ground.

Xiara moved onwards, to the grassy trees. He looked on as the unknown soldiers began to dissect the tree they had cut down, eager to find if it's sap had any rich nutrients and minerals, possibly to be sold to galactic scientists or doctors. As they investigated the sap, a fifth of these soldiers, a higher up no less, emerged from jungle, and observed it's alien kin. It acted aloof among it's inferiors, and joined in the intelligible speech, probably giving orders. It wore much heavier armour, and carried a large blade that accompanied the plasma gun. After it spoke, the soldiers began their work on another large tree, slicing it by the trunk. The higher-up also gave the strange drone a stare, accompanied by a thump to the back, shouting loud at it's inaction.

"These creatures probably belong to some sort of organized force, I'd wager that they are here to plunder the planet." Xiara stated. "I fear that we may just have to take them by surprise by the look of things."

"Thankfully I am rather good at that."Saraxx said, lowering her body to the ground.

Oop: Hope you don't mind if Muk pops up here and eats some people.

With another one of the jungle trees cut down in rapid succession, a member of the alien group equipped themselves with some sort of strange suction contraption, definitely made to harvest the rare minerals within the strange, reddish sap. In a matter of moments, the large liquid tank began to fill up with the sap, and the inside of the tree was nothing more than bone dry. They immediately began to work on more and more of the trees, at the behest of the arrogant leader of the aliens.

The drone remained stunted. Barely functioning, and on the floor. Though for the most part, this seemed to more of a facade.

"I must ask, should we make ourselves apparent to these creatures now, or wait a little longer?" Xiara gave Saraxx a choice on their course of action.

A loud deep wail echoed through the forest before Saraxx could answer. One of the tree trunks the aliens cut down was hoisted into the air by a large, slimey, dark colored... hand? The tree slammed into one of the aliens with the rest of the creature, the Muck beast Xiara and Jaqulynn had seen, became visible. Whether it was hungry, angry, or both was uncertain.

The minute Xiara had noticed the muck beast's doing, regardless of what it was here for, it was clear to him that it meant business. "We have to stay. We will be in grave danger if we put ourselves in front of that awful beast." The Actarian warned.

The Muck Beast wailed again, barreling at the captain, slamming its hand into the Captain's face, forcing the alien to the ground and cutting of its oxygen supply, suffocating it. The beast's tail whipped about behind it, making sure the others didn't get close.

With it's alien 'masters' under attack, the so-called drone suddenly began to animate itself. It was no longer the malfunctioning ineffectual bot it once was. This dark robot moved toward the muck beast. It bashed it's robotic chest, goading it's predator into attacking it.

The chest left an indentation in the Muck Beast, before the flowing sludge pooled back over the indentation. The Muckbeast Bellowed, keeping its attention on the Captain, slowly pouring into its mouth parts, hoping to quicken the alien's suffocation. After a few minutes the Captain slowly went limp. The Muck Beast hoisted the captain into the air, shoving the alien down its throat.

Though not angered by the muck beast's inaction, the droid would certainly not allow it's future thralls to die so prematurely. The dark alien drone walked slowly toward the beast, dropping it's sharpshooter rifle, and readying it's dagger like digits. The robot was ready for a fight, even if it was to the death.

The Muck Beast turned after devouring its meal. It didn't seem to see the drone, and simply shoved passed it, attacking one of the other aliens in a similar fashion. "What is that thing?"Saraxx asked, staring at the Muck Beast.

"It seems to be a very sacred creature in the religion the natives follow, they had previously sacrificed an animal it... please it? To feed it? I do not yet know." The Caretaker responded.

That was the last straw for the drone, though ironically, it would have first killed the leader anyway. Just so these upstarts knew who their true master was now. But this beast had completely ignored it, and now droid refused to let newfound servants go to waste. The drone picked up it's sharpshooter rifle once more, and fired it in the direction of this beast.
