In the distant future, a terror stands between humanity as well as its allies of the galactic coalition. a dangerous army of mercenaries, who attack peaceful ships without provocation. in order to combat this threat, a new recruitment drive has begun, for a security escort group to protect merchant ships and freighters on their travels. one young man grabbed by the aura of adventure and honor of joining this force was Dominic Conaugh. his father was a former soldier in the frontier and Dominic learned the art of war from him. however, when the transport ship that was to take him and other recruits to a training planet took off, it was attacked by mercenary forces. With the ship dead in space and most of the passengers dead, Dominic was taken prisoner by the Mercs and tortured for weeks, mentally and physically, by a dark mage who used old magics to give him horrible visions of other realms and burn him while leaving his body unharmed afterwards except for the pain. and lastly, he was cursed with a blinding spell. After two months of this, the Galactic Coalition finally attacked the mercenary hideout, and rescued the prisoners, but the blinding spell still remains on Dominic.

Dominic now searches for a way to remove the curse from his person, as well as fight against the Mercenary forces across the galaxy, but he cannot do it alone. Looking for a medic/pilot to be hired by Dominic, from there to go into various adventures for a long term rp.

Just curious: When you say that you'd prefer to write alongside a female character, is that because you have a romance planned? Because this sounds like an interesting story, but I've no interest in writing a love interest. Other than that, it seems like you're set up to do a magic/sci-fi blend, which is always super cool.

Second question: Are aliens okay?

((Also, minor thing that's bugging me: I'm having trouble reconciling the concept of an "army" of mercenaries with the usual connotation of a mercenary: A soldier who's in it for the money. What you're describing would be closer to a terrorist cell and it'd be unlikely for a single group to represent a significant threat. You may want to add some context as to where this army came from, how they got so powerful, and what their motivations are.

One of the reasons I bring this up is that the character I usually play with is, by definition, a mercenary.))

As Hwo said, not sure I'd be interested in using her for a romance rp, especially with a humanoid, but Saraxx is open to be used more. She could easily take over as a pilot, though a special chair might be needed.

Yes, apologies for the confusion. This is not t by nature, a romance rp. As a writer and lover of science fiction I have merely observed that a having a mal/female perspective in a narrative usually has more life to it. Not to mention the fact that sci-fi has a history of producing more interesting g females characters that can do more than say a medevial society would let them. Its a yin Yang mentality.a balance of the humors.
As for the reference to mercenaries. Yes in general today it refers to bounty hunters or guns for hire. However it also refers to a cutthroat mentality and this was the usage I referred to in my introduction.( Rather instead of saying space pirates. Honestly that particular wording always bugged me as it lacks the cold calculating power of the word mercenary.)

Like I said Saraxx can take over for a pilot, though shed have a hard time sitting in a humanoid seat
