The ball of light thwacked Begad in the head. He growled, making a mental note to have a few birds use this 'great' Chasu Maru as a toilet, before getting a few more animals to side against the troll, which waited for the beast on the other side of the thicket of petrified tree bits. The petrified wood cracked, with Begad being able to hear screams from the plants, whether from the Headsman's thrashing and crushing, or from being petrified, or both, Begad couldn't tell.
The Headsman roared angrily, assuming the sudden attack from the plants came from some forest spirit, probably a Wolf Spirit, who weren't known for being too bright. He forced his way through the pertrified plants, slowly but surely. The petrified plants were holding the beast and certainly were slowing it, but they wouldn't stop it. The Headsman roared again, as more bits of petrified tree cracked and crumbled.
Kara stopped having gotten far ahead of Chasu and Begad. She broke out of a thicket of trees slowing to a stop breathing heavily. She put her hands on her knees and lowered her head, trying to keep herself from puking. She'd never run that fast, for that long, over that great a distance in her entire life. She panted and wheezed, feeling her legs screaming in pain. Thankfully with a swift pop Kara was holding her head under her arm with the pain from her legs having halted. She looked behind her, surprised that she'd ditched Chasu and Begad. "Goodie..."She grumbled.

Chasu did not care about the plants; he could not hear them, and considered them only as tools. Not that his feelings toward animals or even sentient beings were all that different.
What the being did care about was the fact that the troll seemed sufficiently slowed for now, and that the girl who claimed to have a removable head appeared to have disappeared. Such a pain. Well, it knew what direction she had been headed - teehee, headed - at least. Without a word, the figure resumed running. It figured the cat spirit would be able to work things out.

Begad hopped through the tree Branches, having the trees weave their exposed roots and branches together to further block the Troll Spirit. "Y'know, you didn't have to petrify those trees."Begad said to Chasu angrily.
Kara was sitting on a large rock now, head reattached. She watched the trees nervously, not sure if the odd wizard and her friend would break through or if the Headsman would.
Oop2: Being a forest Spirit I imagine Begad would be able to control plants and speak to animals and such, along with the general ghost abilities.
