Abelith looked at Kasugano unamused. She held her arms out, showing the near complete lack of wing membrane. While she did have wing membranes, they were no where near large enough to fly with.

Of course, Kasugano didn't even notice she couldn't fly. "What?" Kasugano said angrily.

Suddenly, sand started to pour out from the holes down into the room they were in. It looked like they were about to be buried alive. "Why am I not surprised something's going to happen?" Kasugano asked.

Abelith stood up, looking around the room. "Great.... Uh... Uh... M-Maybe we could glass the sand at the holes?"Abelith suggested.

"Glass the what-now?" Kasugano asked. "You have to stay calm if you want to talk straight."

Abelith groaned. They were about to be buried alive by sand. Who has time to be calm in a situation like that?! She didn't have time to be calm! She didn't have time to try and speak clearly. She decided to demonstrate. Her hands lifted up with orange flames beginning to dance around them, before she sent a stream of flames at one of the holes spitting sand out. After a few moments the sand at the hole had hardened into glass, plugging the hole.

"Hey! I can do that!" Kasugano shouted. "Are you trying to show off?" Eventually, Kasugano puffed his chest out and looked toward another one of the holes. He then shot a big stream of fire from his mouth at another one of the holes. That one hardened into glass too.

Abeltih smiled, seeing that she wasn't the only one who used fire. She shot several mroe streams of fire at the holes, plugging them up with glass. By the time the sand had reached Kasunago and Abelith's knees, all of the holes had been plugged up with glass. "Okay, that's been dealt with.... now what?"Abelith asked.

"Well... we need to get out of here," he said. "Let's just keep climbing the sand. Leave some of the holes open so the stand comes in in steady amounts and keep climbing the sand till we can get to the top."

Abelith nodded, pulling the glass out of a few holes.

"We should keep stepping up," Kasugano said. "It can still bury us if we hesitate for too long. But we should be up at the top in no time."

Abelith nodded, pulling her feet out of the sand and stepping up. After a short while the sand had filled the pit, with Kasunago and Abelith standing atop it. "Okay so now I assume we try to escape?"Abelith asked.

"Yeah, but how?" Kasugano asked. Eventually, they saw a big arch with the number two on it, and beyond that was what looked like a normal pathway. ...But Kasugano knew it wouldn't be that easy. Kasugano puffed his chest again then spit fire onto the ground. Sure enough, a small explosion occurred. It was a mine field.

"What is this place?" Kasugano asked.

Abelith looked around the mine field. Her eyes closed as she sent out waves of sound, looking for anything that might indicate where a mine was. Thankfully the areas that were over mines were slightly lifted above the flat ground.

"I know it's kind of cheating, but... should we burn the rest of the mines?" Kasugano asked. "Or would you rather do it the hard but fun way?"

"Well I can sense where they are so we can step around them."Abelith said. "Besides, loud noises hurt my ears, including explosions"She said.

"Right, the fun way then," Kasugano said as he started through the mine field.

"Try to step in my steps."Abelith said, taking Kasunago;s hand. Her eyes were still tightly shut. The world around her would suddenlyturned white every few seconds, high-lighting everything. The grains of sand,the areas of the mines, the pathway, everything.

"I don't know if I trust you," Kasugano said. "I barely even know you."

"And I don't know you."Abelith said, with a slight frown. Most people she knew, mostly from her kingdom, trusted her when they met her, atleast they acted like it.

"Well... Alright, but you better not blow me up," Kasugano said as he held onto Abelith's wing. Kasugano started to walk with her through the mines. Kasugano was nervous deep down, but tried to remain as calm as possible.
