Abelith lightly stepped through the mine field. After a fewm oments she'd lead Kasunago through the mine field.
"Okay, that was just beginners luck," Kasugano said. "I bet you could not have done that twice."
Abelith frowned. She let go of Kasunago's hand and went back to the other side of the mine field, before turning around and returning.
"Well, yeah, anyone can follow a route they just walked," Kasugano said, still being stubborn.
Abelith rolled her eyes, angrily going back across, using a different route and returning using another different route. "There?! Happy?!"She aksed frustrated, walking passed Kasunago.
"Whatever!" Kasugano shouted. "Now what do we do, it looks like there are three routes to choose this time, and I'm not sure which one to choose, three four or five?"
Abelith shrugged, not sure which way to go either. "We could leave it up to chance?"She offered.
"Let's see... that path seems to have a lot of pendulums in it. ...Seems easy enough," Kasugano said. "There are square tiles on the path of path four. ...Too suspicious. And path five... all I can see is fog. ... Not sure. What do you think, five?"
"Fog doesn't mess with my echolocation so I say we go down five."Abelith said.
"Got it," Kasugano said as he stepped forward. But before he set foot in the fog, something seemed to be amiss. "Wait a minute... is there any floor down there?"
Abelith closed her eyes and began making quiet clicking noises as her Echolocation kicked in.
"What do you mean you found no floor?" Kasugano asked. "Then there must be a ladder going down there or something."
Abelith looked around more, eventually finding a latter down.
"Right," Kasugano said as he identified the ladder and started to climb down it. At the bottom he stepped his claw down and his claw sunk right into the ground like it was in mud. "Uh oh," Kasugano said out loud.
"What?"Abelith asked.
"It's a mud pit!" Kasugano yelled. You know how mud works, it's REALLY hard to trudge through: almost like quicksand but not AS bad.
"Well.. let's try a different path then."Abelith suggested, beginning to climb up the ladder.
"I'm not sure if you've noticed but... I'm stuck," Kasugano said. "Besides that, I have an idea, but it requires getting me out of this mud first. If I can breathe fire at the mud, I might be able to harden it and we can walk across without worry."
One of Abelith's feet grabbed around Kasunago's arm. "On the count of three we both pull."Abelith said.
Kasugano was able to pull himself out and onto the ladder. He then breathed fire at the mud below for about a minute. It was then he set his foot back down on the mud. It was solid dirt now.
"Looks like we can cross now," Kasugano said as he started walking along the mud.
