She nods, looking as well. ''If we're not careful. we'll fall into one of the sinkholes.''

"oh yes...that would be bad." I couldn't help but shudder. I had almost lost my life by falling in one only 3 days earlier. "oh look!" I pointed to a large cave opening in the side of a dune.

She looks towards the dune, and nods. ''Looks like a good place to rest.'' Still trying to recount where she had seen those sinkholes when she was flying.

When we finally drew close enough, I stopped her. "let me go in first. I'll check to see if it's stable." I took my satchel off in case, and headed cautiously into the dark cave.

She watches as Karishi entered, tensed up. What if the cave collapsed? What if...? She shook the thought away. Stop it, she thought. Stop thinking about the bad things. Thinking like that wasn't going to help at all. Just think that the cave was safe, she thought, hope that its sturdy and no one else is inside.

"something definetly used to live here.." my voice echoed back to Kyraniu. I touched the walls. They were damp... We have to be closer than I thought! I kicked afew that looked loose, but the walls and ceiling were packed tight. "alright Kyraniu! Its safe now, and big enough for both of us..!" I smiled, gestering her to follow me into our temporary home.

She goes into the cave, shuddering. ''Back when I still met my family, my sister lived in a cave...Her cave was covered in ice though...''

"really? That would be an odd sight to see here.." I sat down in the middle of the cave, and I gathered some small sticks. "kyra, can you blow fire...?" I looked at her, not wanting to upset her.

She coughs out some smoke, then a few sparks, then weakly blows out a small hot flame with electriciy cackling within, before nodding. ''Yea..It would be an odd sight. Me and my sister didn't get along well. She was in the fight too....I don't really worry about her, but she is kinda harsh.''

i Smile as the fire starts,then nod as she speaks of her sister. "I see! Well, I hope she's okay now." I reach for my satchel and take out a small pot, filling it with the cactus water from earlier. I place it above the hottest flames and wait for it to boil.

As she waits too, she feels a cold chill, and shudders again. ''So this cave is watery?'' Moving a hand over the wall close to her, red eyes illuminated faintly. ''My sister could swim too. Finned tail.''

I looked up from the fire and watched her silently. "wait..." my eyes widened slightly. "do you think she...?" her sister could even be in the Oasis...

She frowns. ''Possible....But she's an ice dragon.''

"hmmm," I thought to myself while dropping some meat and carrots into the pot,"then it would be dangerous for her to be in such a hot place..." I scratched my head. "maybe she was here a long time ago, and the ice melted..?"

She shrugs. ''Perhaps. But we'd only know if we knew how deep this cave is. It's still chilly here. I guess its a good place to go if your hot.''

[forgot to switch.]

"Thats true. This is a good spot." I stirred the pot and took it off the fire. "sorry, it's not much.." I took the pot and scooted it over to her. "please it alittle atleast." I smiled. "you deserve a treat."

She looks into the pot, then begans to eat its contents. The chilly air was constant, though not cold enough to freeze anything. It felt like something was watching. Watching and waiting.

My smile widened as Kyra began to eat my minor meal. I looked around the cave, then out at the dark desert. The heat was ever shrinking, and I could feel the icy fingers of night begin to claw at our little cave. "burrr..."

As she ate, an extreme chill surrounded her. Even though she was fire assigned, she trembled from the cold. ''Brrrr.....So coold.''

"here!" I took a quilt I had made myself out of the sat hel and tied it around her nck loosely. "does that help?" I smiled happily.
