She nods a bit. ''Helps some. Maybe the caves warmer deeper in.''
"maybe..!" I put out the fire and stood up, taking the empty pot and heading deeper in. " I hope it is.."
She arises, and heads deeper in aswell. ''Something must have lived here as you said. It's big, kinda creepy, wet, and it feels like the chlls coming from someone..''
I laughed quietly. "yeah. Let's just hope it isn't still here..!" I continued on, silent on my tiptoes,as always. Just how big is this cave...?
She thought she heard something. Heard something move as they got deeper. It was faint, but she had heard it. It couldn't be water. Water couldn't sound like a tail brushing against a wall. She looked nervously ahead. ''did you hear that..?''
I stopped a second before Kyra signaled me. I looked back a her, and nodded, holding up my pointer finger infront of my lips. I turned back to the darkness, and tiptoed closer and closer, daring the darkness to react.
The figure moved again as it heard Kyra and Karishi. Footsteps echoing from where they were. The figure growled lowly from the caves exit point, causing the growl to echo throughout the path. A warning. A warning to stay away.
My eyes widened, and I lookedback at Kyraniu. "is it her...?" I had a gut feeling it was. And Kyra had said she was harsh.... Would she kill a normal weakling like me...? I bit my lip, forgetting about my sharp teeth. Darn... Blood started to well up in my mouth.
She turns a bit pale as she heardthe growl, and nods quickly. ''She heard our footsteps..She's watching us...Did your master say that anything might be at the oasis?'' she choked, shivering.
"Yes... He said there would be creatures of all sorts here. He has studied this wasteland for years. But I never thought dragons would be here..." I wiped the blood from my lip, my gaze locked on the shadows ahead.
She growled again, the growl echoing even louder. Would it work? It had to. She hated visitors. She had been in this cave for awhile. They had no right to disturb her home. Specially not reaching the end of the cave. So she listened. Waiting for a response to the growl.
An even louder growl echoed back to us. Ehh.... I looked at Kyraniu. "what should I do..?"
She gulped. ''Lets keep going. To find that oasis. I want to see it.''
"we have to rest first. It'll be suicide traveling now. May we just go back to the entrance...? So we don't bother who ever is in here.." I glanced from her to the shadows and back.
I sat down near the dying fire once more, stuffing a stick into it. "I know.. We'll have to be careful. Don't worry..!" I smiled brightly at the darkness, knowing whoever this creature was could hear me. "we won't be here long..!"
As Kyra slinks back to the dieing fire, the purple dragon hissed. I hope they leave, she thought, as she let loose a loud bone chilling roar into the cave.
I nearly jumped onto the ceiling. "aha...," I smile wearily, rubbing my head. "I'll take that as an okay...." I watched the fire for a while, growing more tired by each flicker.
She jumped too, letting out a startled flame, and stumbles a bit. So loud. ''Jeez, this place echoes tons. That hurt my ears.''
This one has been wandering the cave for days, searching for.... something. Remaining undetected has been hard, but do-able. But still, how much farther....
A light? A new scent? What could this mean? It was curiouse and moved closer, staying in the dark, and saw two other forms. A dragon and a human?
