"You're safe now." She looks at the stranger. "We won't hurt you."

Azucena pokes the girl. "You look like you need a hug, can I have a hug?"

Erica looks at the man and his wife then relaxes a little. She looks at the girl who pushed her then flinched when she poked her.

"Mew...."

"What is your name, little one?" He growls at the other person.

She tilts her head. "Me? I'm Alice! Well actually Azucena but just call me Alice."

Erica attempted to sit up again but more carefully this time. whimpering slightly. She looked at the man who growled and moved a little away. She looked between the girl who called herself Alice and the man and back again.

He looked at the little girl and said, "I wasn't growling at you, dear." He looked at Alice. "You, Girl-Kicker, out of my house."

"You poor thing, what happened?" She pushed Alice out of the way with a "Get out of here" and asked, "What happened to you?"

"But....." "Fine...." She growls softly, her ears drooping as she walks out of the house. She sits in the tree outside, playing with some fire, burning her hands and legs in the process.

Erica looked down. "um..." She flickered eyes up then back down wondering if she can trust this woman who seemed calm but looks can be deceiving.

"It's OK." She smiles softly. "I'm like you, in a way." She turns into a cat and turns back. "See?"

Erica's eyes went wide with surprise. Erica nudged her headphones off and took a deep breath then let her tail out. She looked at the woman with a little more trust. "I was running around in the forest when I accidentally ran into a group of hunters." She looked down her ears twitching. "I tried to run really fast but some of them managed to wound me. I finally lost them at some point but I just kept running. Then next thing I know everything goes black..." She continued as she hugged her tail. She looks back up at the woman with tears in her eyes.

His eyes turn dark as he walks towards the girl. "How many hunters were there?"

Erica looks at the man. "I...I don't know I just turned and ran."

"Manuel... Watch yourself." She turns back to Erica. "Why did they shoot you, dear?"

Erica looked at the woman. "K...Kitsune's are being hunted. I don't know why...all I know was every kitsune was running to the forests for cover cause apparently we are abominations and deserve to die..." She said with tears rolling down her cheeks.

Alice walks up to the door and knocks on it slightly. She is covered in burns and scratch marks. "Can I come back in yet?"

She looked at Manuel, telepathically communicating with him. Then she looked back at Erica. "I'm going to give you the ability to turn into a cat, but it only last 6 hours. Find as many of your kind as you can and tell them to come here, OK?"

Erica's eyes went wide with terror and backed away from the woman. "H-How?" She asked. Eyes flicking between the man named Manuel and the woman.
