Hello fellow writers and roleplayers!! It is November 1st, and you know what that means!
NATIONAL NOVEL WRITING MONTH HAS BEGUN!!
Yaaaaay!!
SO! This is the thread where you can post wordcounts, ideas, ask for help if you're blocked, or get together a word-war party or anything of that nature!
Unfortunately, I myself have to do homework before I can get writing, but I will do my best to hit 2k today!
What are YOUR goals for today, tomorrow, or any point?

My goals for the weekend are to just get the ball rolling for both myself and Redbeard, who can be tough to motivate. I don't care how many words I get right now, so long as I make enough of a dent that I actually have a point of attack!
Best of luck to everyone taking part. Get those stories written
Kim actually posted on facebook that there is a group where you can put things. http://www.rprepository.com/group/group.php?gID=640
I'd intended to finally participate this year, but... I am so not up to it. x.x Heck, I'm kinda falling behind on RPs, and the ones I'm in aren't even moving that fast.
I'm doing NaNo this year with my first contemporary romance. It's weird to attempt something that doesn't involve dragons, magic or crazy supernatural powers o.o.
It's absurd how busy November can get, but I'm determined to make more progress than the last time.
To all of you, good luck!

I wanted to do NaNo this year, but then I found out about NaKnitMo - which is knitting 50K stitches in 30 days instead. I'm looking forward to everyone's progress with their writing though!!
I initially wasn't going to do it this year because of school, but I've been prompted by a friend to try. So, making sure my grades don't suffer, I'm going to try to write as much as I can. That being said, I'm about to crawl into bed with 2,355 words written.
My rule of thumb is that if I don't at least try, I might regret it. Whether I win or not, I never know unless I actually try. My schoolwork won't be sacrificed, but I know if I don't at least try to do NaNoWriMo, I'll really harsh on myself for it later. So I'm trying it out
Good luck to all those trying, and good luck to those in NaKnitMo!

I've done NaNoWriMo before, once in 2012 for an ongoing worldbuilding project.
This year I'll write another set of stories for that same worldbuilding project, but now the stakes are higher - I've got to write 50,000 words in between three huge research projects this month. Wish me luck.

2011 was the last time I won it, so now that I am out of university, I am trying so again this year.
Just hit 19k. I am going to try to hit 25k before midnight tonight, or at the very least before I go to bed. But then again, my personal challenge to myself is getting to 80k in 10 days.

https://docs.google.com/document/d/14Lnm713pxWVZXp-tLmwogv3_J9qwtQM0WDr-oJ9Soas/edit?usp=sharing and I've been updating this regularly.
Now I just have to worry about how I am going to fit this on Merin's site when it's done. o___o

I'm sure there's a 10k word block per text box widget, not entirely sure!
I'm coming along nice and steady, thankfully! A bit behind the wordcount due to classes but once I get my homework done I'll be able to catch up pretty easy. I wrote almost a solid 1k throughout my classes today, while taking notes for class, so I'm pretty pleased! I'm roughly 3500, if memory serves!
Ding, 50k. Next stop, 80k before day 10. At this rate I might make it by day 8.
