To quintessence, yeah, like give me a few examples of her spells. To Olybrius, cool, I'll PM some things you need to know about how magic works in this world.

I have a character I'd like to use for this, Though he'd have to have a slightly modified backstory even though there are several versions of his origins and where his abilities come from. I'm nominating my Character Gabriel Valentine. I guess you could classify his magic as either Dark magic, restoration, or shape-shifting. He uses magical energy to grow new appendages which he can use to increase his mobility or for combat. Included in his armory of abilities are: bone/carbon Blades, enhanced muscles, tentacles, carbon-based body armor, a sinewy bow and arrow (loosely speaking), Incredible self-healing abilities, etc. It's similar to the PROTOTYPE games if you've ever played those.

Hmm, I don't know, we kind of already have a shapeshifter type person, hang on I'll PM you an explanation of how Magic works in this world in order to explain why I'm reluctant.
