I have some knitting supplies that I've replaced with higher end stuff over the past year. I've come to a point where I no longer use them so I'm looking to give them away for free. They're all great for beginners, people who want to learn or who just learned.
I would like to know if there is anyone on RPR who would be interested in participating in a free raffle for a chance to win this starter kit.
A dice will be rolled on the forums and the result will determine the winner. I will ship worldwide. My supplies have been around cats so please be aware if you have cat allergies.
Would this kit be of interest to you? I want to know before I start organizing a raffle and end up without entrants. The kit will include the following:
- 5mm (US 8 ) circular needle
- 8mm (US 11) circular needle
- 1 blunt tapestry needle (for sewing knitted pieces together + weaving in ends)
- 1 row counter
- 1 skein of acrylic yarn (you get to pick the color from the available yarn in my stash!)
- set of 10 random colored buttons
- list of my personal pick of YouTube tutorials to learn how to knit, basic stitches and other useful techniques for beginners
As a bonus I will throw in this funny little guy I knitted:
What are circular needles?
They're just regular knitting needles, except that they're attached to one another with a cable. You can use them to knit all sorts of things: flat pieces like a scarf or blanket, or a round piece like a hat. Regular knitting needles are separated and tend to be long, and large pieces can weigh them down and make knitting uncomfortable. Circulars are nice because the needles move more freely as the majority of the weight is on the cables. I really prefer circulars to all other needles!

I will donate some stuff too!
Things like:
A needle size checker (it even has a little ruler on each side!)
A mini loom and the loom Tool
A random assorment of buttons (number to change if/when I find the rest of them)
