And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see. And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer. And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see. And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword. And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine. And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.
Revelations 6:1-8
A young woman observed what she could see of the large campus before her. There were old brick buildings surrounding the greens on three sides. More buildings were arrayed all behind and around them. Covering the greens were gaggles of new college freshmen, looking about them with wide, anxious eyes and lugging around large suitcases. She was a stark contrast from them, though she was also a freshman here. Many here didn't know what they wanted to do here, and a few were just here for the party life (which wouldn't be hard to find in this big city). She was neither of those however. Arlan always knew exactly where she was and what she was meant to do: lead.
As she made her way to her dorm to unpack, Arlan found that she wasn't scared of the future, and she was rather relieved she wasn't like some of the more dramatic students crying and making the last minute decision to her parents that she didn't want to go to college after all. She rolled her eyes and walked around the theatrics. It didn't take long for her to unpack since her taste was rather minimalist. Her roommate still hadn't shown up yet and after a moment's reflection, Arlan decided it would probably be a good idea to get familiar with her new town. She'd visited the college before as a high schooler, but hadn't really had a chance to explore the town. After driving around a bit, her growling stomach made her stop at a little cafe. It was strangely mixed with a deli and a pizzeria but she just shrugged and went in. She supposed that accommodating for college students results in some rather strange combinations.
Zack entered the college looking around at the various other students. He looked at the paper he had printed off that had his dorm number and classes, finding his building, which was co ed and teaming with people. He made his way up to his room, going in and finding his roommate already there and unpacked."Hey there" he said, and Zack nodded respectfully, going to the empty bed and beginning to unpack his things. All he had were clothes and a few trinkets, not really wanting to bring much. He set up his side of the room, then went back out to go for a walk, putting his hands on his pockets and walking around. After a while he got hungry, and checked his wallet to see if he had enough to get something to eat. As he looked around, he found a pizzeria, going in and looking around for a seat, finding one by the wall and taking it before someone else could. As he took his seat, he saw someone already sitting there."Sorry about that" he mumbled, moving to get up
The girl's stare traveled around the college's green. The main buildings were so ornamented they looked like red brick castles compared to where Finn grew up. She would have love to lean against a tree and just take in the sights of this new place, but it was so crowded on this first day. She didn't want to draw attention to herself. People had already noticed she was obviously a freshman, here without any parents, and gaping as if she had never seen such a this. All assumptions were right, particularly the last one. She had never seen so many people in one place. She hadn't ever even left her home town. Ever.
She took all her luggage to her dorm, and began unpacking. She didn't have any decorations, just a lot of books. She saw that her roommate had already come and gone, oddly enough, but she was glad. She wasn't in the mood for introductions. Or talking to people, period. She just wanted to sit, alone in her room with her book. She certainly didn't want to think about-
Her lip quivered. She began crying silently, out of habit. It was too much. not only coming here alone, but after being told what she had, and what had happened to her brother... She couldn't stand it. She just wanted to scream, but she knew she never could. Mother and father wouldn't allow it.

Chloe looked around as she sat on the roof of her dormitory, her way too big black hoodie hung around her body. A lot of people thought she had anorexia, she was so thin. She herself didn't know why she was so thin, as thoughts of death came to her mind. A lot of people were afraid of death, but she saw no reason to be afraid. Death was going to take them all one day wasn't it? Why spend your whole life running from the inevitable? The sound of her grumbling stomach brought her back to reality. "Right, food" she muttered, forcing herself to stand. She nimbly jumped from the roof the the platform below her, jogging down the steps to the ground. She began to look around for a place to eat.
(Sorry if I threw the whole thing out of whack, I just made her thin because when ya die you get thinner and all so.....yeah)
Chris was attending college for a business degree. He already knew how business worked since his family own major oil companies and others. His limo pulled up to the college and stopped. The driver got out of the car and started to unload Chris belongings.Chris got out and told the man what room to place his things. He also told him he shall be finding a place to eat since. He walked the streets in a nice clothing. He looked like he was from rich blood but didn't wear a suit.He wasn't much muscle but wasn't thin.He looked slim with dark hair.He started ti feel like he was starving so he went into the closer place he saw.
((No problems Stormrider, you can choose to personify their abilities however you want. ^^))
Arlan shrugged. "It's not like anyone else is going to sit there. You can if you want to." Then a bubbly waitress came to see if they wanted to order anything. She was all smiles as she held the white pad of paper in her hand and held her pen at attention. "I'll take a stromboli and a lemonade." She told the woman. Arlan waited to see if the other guy would order. The waitress left after he did (or didn't) place an order and Arlan looked at him thoughtfully. "Are you a new student too?"

he placed his order and sat back down, looking over at the girl."Yeah, just moved into my dorm and decided to go for a walk." he explained."So what are you here for?" he asked."What program?" he added, being more specific. She was rather pretty, he noticed, and he couldn't help a smile."I'm Zack, by the way" he stated, glancing around before looking back at her
Fiona finally managed to dry her eyes. She felt like a wuss, but she never felt like she could manage her life. Sometimes she hated it.
Sighing, she shut her book. A walk will be good. There aren't as many people out there anymore, she tried to convince herself. Straightening up her things one more time, she left her room and wandered about. Realizing for the first time how hungry she was, she looked for a place to eat.
Finn was unhealthily skinny. It wasn't because she was anorexic, abused, or poor, it was just because she got so preoccupied... She skipped meals, and nights of sleep because she became fixated on a task. It wasn't good for her, but she didn't care until the pain set in. ((Sorry, I'm not trying to copy, I've had this idea for her since I made her.)
Up ahead, she saw a confident looking girl with bright red hair. She swallowed her anthropophobia. "Um... Excuse me. Do you happen to know somewhere I can find something to eat?"

Chloe heard a voice and turned around, seeing a skinny girl. Her red eyes seeming to pierce into this girls soul. Her eyes softened as a strange feeling came over her. Like, this girl was like her. She did a very rare thing for her, she smiled. She still held her confident look on her face. "No, though I'm looking for a place to eat, myself." She looked around, seeing a deli crossed with a pizzaria. "Huh, that's a weird combination..." She muttered. She looked back to the girl. "Ya comin'?" She asked.
He walked into a deli and pizzeria. He thought to himself how weird the combination was.He looked around and it seemed quite busy.He just stood in the middle of the place thinking what to order. He could get a pizza but probably wouldn't finish it.He asked for a simple sandwich and waited for it to be made.Once the sandwich was complete he walked to the last available booth to eat.
((Can't give a full out reply right now because of homework and other things I'm busy with, but I did recruit another person for the RP))
((Cool! What will they be?))
(You'll see But I'll tell you this...Fiona won't be the only one trying to stop the Apocalypse. I'll let him reveal the rest himself.))
Alex stepped out of his 1967 ford mustang and looked around the campus. A brief sigh left him as he muttered, "Out of the frying pan into the fire...", he hated first days. All the new freshman were going to pester him on the way to the architecture building. He remembered that last year they all swarmed him, it almost was like he was an info depot at that point, and he was inclined to help. Trying to look out of place and observing the college grounds like all the other students he played it off like he was new as well. When he finally got his way to the architecture building he looked around a bit to see the new rooms that he was being assigned this semester. After a brief look he sighed, taking in the silence, barely anyone was here since it was out of the way of the stampede of confused freshman, and nobody really went to this building anyways.
A few moments later his stomach growled, "Damn...", he said to himself, and began to head out. He knew just where he wanted to go, there was an good pizzeria that he liked to go to, and he was dying for a 14 inch with bacon, spinach, roasted tomatoes, and peperoncini. He went back to his car and drove there, trying to avoid the freshman best as possible. When he finally got there he noticed that it was fairly booked, seemed like a place for all the new kids to go, he sighed....he wanted a pizza. He straightened up and looked defiantly ahead, he WAS going to get his pizza. Alex stepped through the crowd and waved out one of the employees, he was a regular here so he had some influence. He politely asked for his usual, paid and went to go take a seat. Though, in the process of doing so he noticed that all the available seats were taken. He sighed, looking around, all the ones with sophomores were filled, and a bunch of almost full ones with freshies in them.
He spotted a table with only a few new looking kids in them and quickly went for it. Alex slid into one of the seats with a big smile and said, "Ehhhh....This seats not taken is it?", he asked and looked at the brunet who was sitting there, then to the other guy. As he looked at them for a moment, they didn't seem overwhelmed, just hungry...good, maybe they wouldn't ask him things. Then....Alex's conscience got the better of him and he asked, "Uh....", and sighed a little, "So? You guys are freshman right?", and waited for the impending volley of questions.

Arlan returned Zack's smile. "I'm Arlan. And I'm in the Emerging Leaders Certificate Program, but I'm going to major in Social Psychology and minor in Business." She said this without any hint of hesitation or doubt. She always knew exactly what she was going to do, and she made sure to get there. Just like the rest of her family. For some students, it might be a lot of pressure to have your parents expecting such high things of them, but for her it was only natural. Before she was able to ask Zack what he was going to college for, another man appeared at the table, sliding right in.
A shiver went down her spine as she observed the newcomer. She ignored it though. She'd had to deal with people she didn't like before and worked with them just fine after a while. Besides, she didn't even know anything about the guy. Yet. She shrugged, not really caring if he stayed or not. The waitress came to give Zack and her their drinks while asking what the new guy wanted to drink. "Yes, we're freshmen." She said to him once the waitress left. "I'm Arlan and this is Zack." She motioned towards Zack.

Zack felt a bit uneasy as the newcomer joined them, somewhat of a sense of foreboding that sent chills throughout him."Nice to meet ya" he said flatly, nodding at him and taking a sip of his drink."And you are?" he asked the newcomer, wanting to know more about him. He was already getting on his bad side for interrupting he and Arlans conversation. He looked him over, tagging him as somewhat of a lady killer and a goody two shoes."And I'm assuming you're a freshman as well?" he added, sipping his drink again, a feeling of loathing for him even though he did not know him in the slightest.
She walked into the deli/pizzeria, not waiting for the girls answer. She pushed through the crowd of freshmen which provoked a few glares her way. She ordered an Emerge energy drink and when she was served, looked around for a place to sit. There was a table with three people sitting there with one space left. She didn't want to walk over to it though, she didn't mingle with others if she couldn't help it. Though, something about the people sitting there provoked her, just in the slightest. So, she leant against the wall opposite them, casually sipping her drink.
She watched the other students file past her, giving them a 'Get lost' glance now and then. She looked back over to the open table and smirked. You could be stoned, wasted and blind and still see that one of the guys obviously didn't like the other. She wondered if they would fight, and if they did, would she join in? She casually looked down to her pocket, seeing the glint of a knife. She slowly looked around, nobody had noticed. She slipped it further into her pocket as she took another sip of her drink.

While Chris was sitting and eating his sandwich he got thirsty. He got up from the last stale and walked towards the cashier to get a drink. He saw a little cluster next to this one booth. There was a group of three in the booth while their was a person watching them.He look at the group and it seemed the negative vibes were coming from their. He thought the women watching was waiting for a fight. She is probably a thrill seeker he thought. He walked pasted the group and order his drink.
She finished her drink and crushed the can with a large CRACK! and set it on the floor. She took out her sketchpad and pencil. Drawing was her pastime and she usually drew comics or randomly doodled. She slumped down to the ground, leaning on the wall with her knees up and began to aimlessly doodle. The picture was actually quite good, not amazing by her standards, but good. It was a picture of her crushed emerge can, shaded and 3D looking. She smirked, happy with the results and threw the can into the bin next to the table of 3. She pocketed her pencil and sat with the drawing in her lap, criticizing it on ways she could draw it better. She looked up occasionally at the table across from her, catching little snippets of conversation.
