Alex had an awareness stir inside of him, something was off about these individuals, and he also picked up two other in the room that were similar. Time slowed for him as he concentrated, the sound of a can being crushed by a girl and a man walking past the booth. It sped up again when he heard the waitress asking him what he wanted to drink, "Water would be fine...", he said and then turned his attention back to Arlan and Zack, "Right, Nice to meet you I'm Alex...", he said with a brief smile. Alex was glad that they weren't questioning him, it seemed they knew what they were doing, he finally leaned back and relaxed. Zack asked him a question and he quickly replied after he finished, "Nope...Junior, Major in Architecture, Minor in engineering", he said keeping his voice down so nobody could hear except for them. He looked out to see if anyone did and then turned his attention back to them, "Sorry to interrupt anything you guys were doing, just pretend I'm not here....I'm just using you as a place to hide from all the hoarding clueless Freshman", he said with a wink.

It didn't take him much to see that Zack seemed to be loathing of his presence, which seemed odd he was simply a stranger, but he realized that they might be a couple and cringed a bit, might have been a bad move. Alex looked good yes, but he was no means a lady-killer, in fact he hadn't had a girlfriend to this day, none of them really interested him, though he was looking. Neither was he a goody-two shoes, he often broke laws/rules simply to get things done faster, or for what he thought was for the better. Though he did help others when needed, he just felt like not dealing the entirety of a university with something as tedious as talking to them. The outcome of his actions were by definition "Good" the things he did along the way, might not be considered so, and he was what he was.

He could feel the girl looking at them occasionally, knowing full well that she was eavesdropping. Alex kept quite mostly just minding his own, waiting for his pizza. He took out a silver dollar and flipped it, catching it, and then looking at the results, before putting it away. Hopefully this semester would turn out more informative than the last one, he already knew about 90% of the curriculum.

She teared a piece if paper from her scrapbook and folded it into a paper aeroplane. She wrote"Pizza in 3....2....1...." and threw it at Alex's head as the waitress came over with his pizza.

((Sorry I've taken so long to post, this week has been murderous. Fun fact: I did not realize had placed two ns in my character's name until 2 days ago. And it kept autocorrecting it to that... ?))

She sighed. The girl had been nice to her, but Fiona could do nothing but freeze. She was so terrified of people... Her heart stopped when she walked into the Pizzeria/Deli. It was packed. All the tables were full, and she had lost sight of Chloe. She walked up to a table that still had an empty seat, and, heart pounding, asked those sitting there, "Coul- I mean, can I um... Would you mind if I sat here?"

Alex saw the pizza coming his way, he could tell it was his from the smell of bacon. His face lit up with a smile as the waitress brought it towards the table. Then, his eyes caught a glance of movement from the girl who had been watching them, within a fifth of a second he threw his hand up and caught the aeroplane. He read the paper to see what it said, then looked up after finishing reading "One" as the waitress set the pizza down at the table. Alex smiled lightly and muttered something, writing down "Clever", under her message, folded the plane up again and tossed it her way.

Then a girl stood in front of them, Alex looked her over, she seemed a bit skinny, rather short. He saw that she was trying to say something, smiled politely and held his hands together. She looked about the age to be a freshman, but she looked like she was about to die of embarrassment, he might just be obliged to help her. "Sit here?", he looked over to Arlan and saw that she could scoot over if she wanted, "I don't see a problem...", he said looking over to Arlan with a kind smile.

Arlan took a sip of lemonade, to give her an excuse to just observe for a moment. It looked like Zack didn't like Alex's presence here any more than she did. Though whether it was because he felt the same queer gut feeling she had was unknown. She also noticed a girl nearby, drawing and eavesdropping. Not that Arlan minded much. If she'd wanted a private conversation, she would've waited in her dorm room for her roommate to arrive.

"You know, most people avoid whatever they're trying to hide from. A cafe-pizzeria filled with freshmen should be one of the last places you'd want to go." Arlan shook her head and looked at Zack. "Well, he says to ignore him. Anyways, I was going to ask you what classes you'll be taking here." She'd just finished when a paper airplane floated over her shoulder to hit Alex in the face, only he caught instead. After reading it with an amused look on his face he scribbled something and threw it back at the girl. Arlan had to admit she was a little disappointed the little plane didn't make it. It definitely would've been funny. She looked up to see a rather shy girl asking if she could take a seat. Arlan scooted over to make room. "Sure. I'm Arlan. That's Zack and Alex." The waitress, who started to look exasperated with all the additions to the table, asked what the girl wanted to drink and told Zack and Arlan their food would be out momentarily.

She saw the paper airplane fly from the boy back to the girl from earlier who was standing up. She waved to her awkwardly, and was then accepted into the table. "Thank you," she said timidly to the people there. She then said, "I'm Fiona," but it almost seemed like an afterthought, as if she didn't think anyone would care who she was. She smiled a little and sat down quietly next to the girl, Arlan.

Her face burned with embarrassment again when she saw the waitres's expression. "Um... Sorry ma'am. I'll take an iced tea, and if it's easier for you, I'll just take," she glanced at the menu for half a second and said, "The ham and Swiss sub." It sounded tasty enough.

She wasn't meaning to eavsdrop it was just the only free space she could sit in. She caught the aeroplane and read it. She looked up at Alex and shrugged. She began to aimlessly doodle again, this time resulting in a pencil.

Zack looked back to Arlan, happily ignoring him. He was just about to answer her when another girl joined the table, and he looked at her inquisitively, wondering when their table had become a hotspot for conversation."I'm taking English, drama, math and bio, trying to major in journalism and hopefully minor in drama" he said, looking at the waitress as she came back with their food. He looked at his meat lovers and licked his lips. All of that extra chatter had made him even more hungry. He had missed the plane incident due to the fact that the man had said to ignore him, and began to eat his pizza, swallowing before asking the original member of the table a question."Hey, where's your dorm?" he sipped his drink and awaited her reply, taking another bite of his food.

He saw the booth was getting even more crowded.It seemed like every one is leaving but more people seem to go to that booth.He got his drink and sipped at it.He walked over to the booth and asked "Are y'all a club or something?"

Chloe plugged her earphones into her phone and selected a song, continuing to draw. She was shading her pencil when she heard a voice at the table. She ignored it, she wasn't interested anyway. After finishing her pencil she began to draw the outline of a scythe. Something seemed....different about the scythe, like it was.....real. She felt that if she touched the blade she would cut herself. She shaded it and could of sworn she saw herself in the blade's reflection.

Fiona turned a shade of bright red immediately. "N-no..." she stammered. She seemed to have club-based anxiety. "Um, I mean, why would... I have never clubbed in my life."

((That was an odd and short post.)

Alex watched as Fiona took a seat, she seemed awfully shy and timid, he felt as if the mass of people was helping her either. Perhaps she just didn't like big crowds. She seemed to be polite to the waitress and apologized, so that checked of his list that she was a nice person as well. He gave a kind smile in her direction and then was turned to the attention to yet another person walking over to the booth, listening as him and Fiona had a brief talk. "Club? No....Place to sit? Definitely", he said with a smile, "What's your name?", he asked, this was one of the four that he felt odd about, something was different and distinct about them than the others, and Fiona had something mysterious to her as well, but not like the others.

He looked over at Fiona, "Well, where are you from? Fiona? Was it?", he said with a soft smile. "What are you here for? What are you majoring in?", he asked politely and waited for a response. Alex was trying to make it so she concentrated more on him rather than everyone else around her, since she seemed to be a bit fidgety about all of these people. As he waited for a response, he picked up some of his own pizza and began to eat, and drank his water. Hopefully all this would die off within at least a week, and then come back to routine within a month, he hated all of this confusion and clusters of people, it gave him a headache, sometimes he wished that there was a few less people in the world.

Arlan looked at Zack. "Drama and journalism. Not that's a mix I don't hear of very often." She wondered what type of job he was aiming for. Before she could ask, the waitress was back with her steaming hot stromboli. Arlan blew on it to cool it down a bit and took a bite. She took a sip of lemonade and swallowed before answering Zack's question. "I'm living in the co-ed dorm. It's one of the buildings overlooking the greens, so it's right on the edge of the on campus living area. It's on the east side." She wondered if her roommate would be a girl or a boy. She hadn't specified any preference when she'd signed up, mostly because she didn't mind one way or another. And besides, living in a dorm that was all girls sounded droll to her.

Arlan noticed someone else approaching their table. "Well, aren't we popular." She said to herself before he got there. She smirked at his question. "Oh, don't believe these guys, we're the club of Newbies. Except for him." She motioned towards Alex. "He's the odd one out since he's been going to this college for a while now."

Fiona tried to stop her hands from shaking. She never felt at ease in crowds, but this one was making her feel... Odd. It was even more uncomfortable than usual.

But this boy, Alex, seemed nice. She attempted to smile. "Yes, I'm Fiona. Um... I grew up not to far from her, near Allentown. My parents didn't want me too far from home for college." She hoped no one would think that was odd. It was a very good school... "I'm majoring in, er, medical engineering, and, um, minoring in psychology. I want to create new ways to help people." And solve my own social anxiety... Fiona prayed she wasn't talking about herself too much. Mother would have punished her by now.

She studied Alex a little more carefully, but very inconspicuously. She had a lot of experience... There was something strange about him. She couldn't help but like him, though. He seemed so nice. Maybe she had found a friend in this school.

She sipped her ice tea. She was grateful it had come out with Arlan's Stromboli. She couldn't stand the thought of causing the waitress to make a special trip.

"Well I am Chris,I am also new here majoring in business."After he spoke he listened to Fiona."Well most parents are like that aren't they?" he said more asking than stating.He thn looked over at Chloe then asked the table "Is she with you guys"

The strange feeling was becoming unbearable. "Go sit with them." She thought to herself. "Screw off.." she thought back. The voice repeated itself. She rolled her eyes and continued to draw. She felt someone looking at her and she pulled her legs tighter into her body. She semi audibly growled, bored outta her mind.

"I suppose you're right," she said aloud. Nobody's parents are like mine, she thought. She sipped her tea uncomfortably, trying not to show how aghast she was at the nearby redhead's behavior.
