(not sure ask James Langely)

"Just peachy, thanks to you!" Lyngia replied to the droid with a smile. "That could have been bad. And I think we shoul all get a move one, because if I fell through the floor, this ship is coming down fast."
Bravo nodded his voice module attempting to make a voice but all that came out was white noise, he stopped trying seeing the error and began moving towards the shuttle making a gesture for Lyngia to follow.
(You can join. Message me a little bit about your character before you post, though.)
James pulled out his scanner and surveyed the floor. "This ship is worse off than we thought. We're lucky it didn't happen earlier." He checked the data transfer. "90 percent complete. Good, we might get out of here in one piece." He then signaled Enterprise. "Chief, keep a transporter beam lock on us at all times. If we can't return by shuttle, you may have to beam us out of here."
He then turned to Lyngia. "Try and watch your step." All she did was return an annoyed glare.
The wreckage suddenly shook, letting everyone know that it was time to leave. "This is Enterprise, the wreckage just sheared in half. The Quantum Flux Core was still partially active when we pulled it from the rift, and apparently is about to go into overload. You have ten minutes to get off the ship." James checked the data transfer again.
"93 percent complete. Transfer will finish in five minutes," the device alerted the crew.
"Damn, we're cutting it close this time," James said, checking the passageway to the shuttle.

"You watch your own step, Captain," Lyngia muttered, glaring at James. The look she was giving him was only half the strenght of her legendary death glare, but it had sent many of the bravest warriors she'd met running away in terror. James was made of stronger stuff; but even he coudn't hold up against a full-fledged look of death.
Rolling her eyes when James ignored her, Lyngia made her way to the passage to the shuttle. She turned to watch James, ready to grab him and drag him to the shuttle if needed. "Captain, hurry."

"Transfer complete. Gatekeeper computer core uploaded," the device announced, letting James know it was time to leave. He turned to Lyngia and the others. "Let's go. We don't have time to grab the device. We can salvage it from the wreckage later." They ran as fast as the low gravity would allow and climbed aboard the shuttle. After everyone was strapped in, James fired up the engines. They blasted out of there as the ship did its final shudder and completely fell in on itself.
"That was close," James said. He turned to Lyngia. "Let's get the fleet out of here. We can analyze the computer info when we are in Hyperspace. This place is starting to get to me."

On the distant computer console, another line of text appeared on the screen. "Test One Complete. Proceeding with Test Two."

"It was fun," Lyngia said, eyes bright. "Now, who's ready for some high-flying hijinks?" Grinning devilishly, the woman sprinted off the shuttle and to the bridge, then catapulted herself into her seat, which was a considerable distance. She even had time to execute a perfect front flip before landing gently in the navigator's chair, one leg crossed over the other.
She keyed up the other ships on her comm. "This is the Enterprise. Prepare for immediate departure." Her fingers flew across her command board as she got the ship ready to leave. "Let's get this show on the road, shall we?"

James gave a nod at Lyngia. "Make it so." As the ship was calculating the Hyperspace jump, Pierson came on the screen. "Once we are out of here, I am going to need a complete briefing on what you found on that ship."
"Yes, sir." James replied. "I am going to review the information while we are in Hyperspace. A full report will be ready within four hours."
Pierson nodded. "Very well. I will see you at the rendezvous point."
James pulled up the computer core access hologram. "Computer, access Gatekeeper computer core." The computer beeped, and displayed a series of directories. "Access combat log, final battle report." The computer began working, and pulled up the translated log of what was most likely the captain. He set the audio to play throughout the bridge.
"Battle log, starship Muav'Iad. The enemy has returned, and in a greater force. They have demanded that we surrender the Hypergate. We have locked out the controls on the station, but I am afraid it might not be enough. We are preparing for battle. I can only hope that we succeed in stopping their advance."
"Log ends. Starship damage report displayed. Enemy has fired Tetryon Missiles at starship. Missiles have bypassed the shields and have impacted engineering. Severe damage to hull. Core has begun phase shifting. Setting computer to standby."
The computer log ended, leaving James very perplexed. "Well, we found part of what we came for," he finally said. He turned to Bravo. "Find out everything you can about these Tetryon Weapons. If they can bypass Gatekeeper shielding, then it can probably bypass ours."
He then turned to Lyngia. "After we jump to Hyperspace, I need to talk with you in the ready room."

"Alrighty," Lyngia said, glancing towards James for a moment, eyes filled with curiosity and a small amount of confusion. She then looked back at the navigations panel, the ship ready for a Hyperspace jump.
As soon as it was done, Lyngia stood, gesturing for a junior officer to take her place. "Not a scratch, noob," she warned, her eyes cold and steely. The officer gulped annd nodded; Lyngia strode off the bridge with a smirk on her face, magenta hair swinging.
She sat down when she reached the ready room, running her fingers through her ponytail.

Bravo saluted to James and with a fuzz his vocalizer came out with "brrt..cht..com, com... pfrt" it was mostly static but Bravo couldn't tell that his vocalizer was broken as he didn't understand himself but instead only registered others voices. Bravo walked out of the room to his quarters and he began rummaging through data
James followed Lyngia into the ready room and sat down across from her. "We've got a very bad situation on our hands. The instant I heard of the Tetryon Weapons I knew something was up. We have only encountered Tetryon Weapons a few times in our journeys. I can rule out old pre-Confederate technology, since back then we were confined to one galaxy. I can also rule out the Imperium, since they have not been exploring space long enough to have done this. That leaves us with only two options, and I'm fairly certain I know which option it is."
He got up and pulled up a holographic display of a starship. "We are dealing with the most dangerous starship we have encountered. The Star Destroyer Imperial Fist. Thrawn's Flagship." He then sat back down. "I will know the instant we get a reading on the frequency of that Tetryon Weapon. I have no doubt that it will match, though. But, that leaves us with the question of how did a large Imperial Fleet do the dimensional jump? I thought we had to modulate a Hypergate to jump dimensions." There were too many questions, and not enough answers.

Lynia's eyes widened. "Hold on a second, James. Do you mean to tell me that we have an Imperial Star Destroyer out there? And Thrawn's, to boot?" She shook her head, worry etched in her face. "James, I'm sure I don't have to remind you just how dangerous it is, dealing with these....people; but the rest of the crew? Only a few of them were with us during the last dimensional jump. Pierson doesn't even know the full details of what happened. No one does, but us."
She stood, taking a deep, shaking breath. This was bad, very bad. For a few moments, the woman paced across the room, her mind a tangle of worry and anxiety. Then she stopped, and turned to face James. "You know what we have to do, if it does turn out to be a Star Destroyer, don't you? Our ships are great, but against an Imperial fleet? We'll need a little more firepower."
Lyngia sat back down, resting her chin on her hands. "As to your question on dimensional jumps......well, funny story, but....the Hypergate isn't the only route through dimensions. It's certainly the safest option, but not the only one." She was staring at the ground, but her eyes flicked up to her captain for a moment. "If it is a Star Destroyer, it's possible they found their way through a wormhole, or some other tear in the space-time continuum."

Dimitri knew better than to ask if the away team had had any problems. He hadn't know James Langley for long, but he knew that if there was something wrong, he would say something. James wouldn't react negatively to questions, but dimitri was shy at heart and didn't see a need for speech, so instead he watched his captain as a way of getting a report on the mission. James was ruffled, sure. Who wouldn't be? But he had no immediate stress as far as dimiti could tell, that meant no one had been hurt. He returned to his station. The power drain from the tractor beam had given the engines a solid workout, and calming the quantacite down would take concentration. Calming wasn't the official word, but it might as well be. This close to disturbances, quantcite cores got a little more fussy. despite his doctorate on the subject, dimitri had to concentrate to relax the engines. Thus, he didn't knotice the captain and lyngia leave for the briefing room. He was doing what he did best, and if this meant being oblivious to the rest of the ship, so be it.
James finally decided on how to proceed. "Prime Directive be damned, we are going to do another dimensional jump. We are going to take a Star Runner and make the trip." He called up the Flight Officer. "I need you to prep the Star Runner Cavalier. As soon as we exit Hyperspace I want to be on my way." He closed the channel, knowing that the officer would carry out the order, no questions asked. "Lyn, it's time we paid a visit to our old friends." He returned to the bridge, Lyngia shortly behind him. He turned to Dimitri. "Chief, you will be joining myself, Lyngia, and Bravo on a mission of utmost secrecy. I will brief you on it once we are aboard the Star Runner and on our way." He then turned to the Science Officer, who was the highest ranking officer after the four. "Try not to break anything while we are gone," James commented as he hurried off to the hangar deck.
Bravo found James as he was on his way to the hangar and decided to follow him "Captain the information you requested on Tetryon weaponry was not there however I gathered information on a Tetryon" he said as he pulled the information from his data storage "A Tetryon is a particle that is common in Subspace sectors, however it can be brought to normal space sectors by normal or artificial means, however a side effect of it being brought here is the it becomes highly unstable and unpredictable." he put away the data he had found and continued to follow James
Dimitri followed his captain quietly. his head was swimming with questions, why the sudden secret mission? nothing had seemed wrong, 'dimensional jump' was a term with weighty meaning. what 'old friends' was he talking about? quickly studying the faces around him, he saw bravo's unmoving features (big surprise there...), lyngia seemed to know something, and she seemed to be in a mixture of nervousness and excitement, but Dimitri had a hard time reading her features. he saw on his captians face only furrowed features as if he were in deep thought. he was slightly puzzled at the focus on Tetryon properties, until he recalled the earlier readout from the gatekeeper computer. he followed his captain off the bridge, unanswered questions he wished dispelled still in his head, as he was too shy to ask them. if he thought his job required it, he would inquire further, until then he held his tongue. seeking knowledge, he decided, worked well in classes, but when there is a real situation, seeking knowledge could wait until needed.
As the team got seated on the command deck of the Star Runner, James turned to address the others. "We are about to perform a dimensional jump, even if it is in violation of our Prime Directive. Our only advantage is that we know what we are about to encounter on the other side." He turned to Lyngia. "Get ready to take off. We will be dropping out of Hyperspace any minute now." He could see that everyone was getting anxious to get underway, and Lyngia had both a look of excitement and determination.
"Let me fill you all in on where we are going. A year ago, myself and Lyngia were on a mission to Antares. You know, the routine patrol. Anyway, we went to use one of the old Hypergates and somehow there was a malfunction with the wormhole generator. It didn't set the wormhole to the quantum frequency of our universe. Instead, it linked to a gate in another reality, along with another time altogether. We encountered an ancient civilization unlike any we had ever seen before. This civilization is who we are going to pay a visit to today. We have a starship, or even a fleet of them, that one on one they can take down the Excalibur. They are called Super Star Destroyers. And where one is, there is another bound to follow. Our task force doesn't have the firepower to take down this rogue fleet. That is why we are calling on some old friends from this other dimension. Our job is to prove that these ships are on the loose in our reality, and to find out how they crossed over. If we can trap them in their own dimension, that would be great. If not, I am invoking General Order 17. We will use all means necessary to stop this enemy of the Confederacy. Any questions?"

Dimitri finally had an outlet. most of his questions had actually been answered by the captains briefing, but he still had a few. "why don't we tell Pierson? if there is a danger to his fleet, shouldn't he know about it? just an idea, you would know better than me. and what is this about the gate messing up the quantum frequency? i would like to study this phenominon, it could have implications in quantainium and cryocite that could change engines a lot.
Bravo turned towards James "A dimensional jump captain? Impossible, knowledge recommends that is incapable of happening with a man made object" he said not understanding the concept of the fact that it had already happened multiple times
James first turned to Dimitri. "Enterprise will transmit a General Order 17 alert to the rest of the fleet once it exits Hyperspace. The Admiral will know that we should be on full alert. If my judgment is correct, he is going to move the fleet to Defcon Two. The fleet will be ready for combat. As for the quantum frequency studies, you will have plenty of time to study the Hypergate on the other side. Apparently it can only link to our dimension. It doesn't link to other worlds or nearby Hypergates." He then turned to Bravo.
"Common knowledge has been… altered… to prevent dimensional jumps from happening. I personally know a few people who would use that technology as a way to gain weapons that might not be possible in our universe. You see, even if a piece of technology defies our laws of physics, it still contains enough trace amounts of the other dimensions quantum frequency for it to operate. That is why the Star Destroyer is so dangerous in our universe." He then got up and opened one of the storage lockers at the back side of the command deck. "This is proof that we can jump between dimensions." He tossed the lightsaber to Dimitri, who instantly began to study its mechanisms in hopes of gleaning some bit of knowledge of its design.
