The fighting lasted for a final few tense minutes before the Empire was sent into full retreat. As they recalled their fighters, James quickly picked off ones from the outer edge. He signaled Lyngia. "When this is over, Dimitri is going straight to the simulator. He needs to re-qualify for flying if he is going to be going on these missions with us," James said as he shot up another TIE. A few fighters turned around to fight back, most likely hot-shot recruits wanting to get their first kill. They were quickly destroyed or set adrift. The last fighters had just been brought aboard when the Imperial ships went to hyperspace. Although the invasion was halted, They knew the fighting was far from over. It was only a matter of time before they tried something so bold again.
James brought his fighter back to the carrier, where he landed and exited his fighter. The rest of the pilots did the same. James gathered everyone together. "What we have learned here is that the Empire is much more powerful than we once suspected. Although our new toys scared them off, they will return, and they won'y be as easily scared. What we need to do is a pre-emptive strike against them. We need to show them that we are not going to allow them to freely roam the galaxy, attacking us whenever they so please. We need a plan. James looked at Lyngia and noticed a twinkle in her eye. He knew right then that she was planning something big.

Giggling to herself, Lyngia brought her X-wing back to the ship, running a systems check on the fighter to see about any damage sustained during the battle. While her R2 unit rattled off the diagnostics, the woman landed her fighter and took off her helmet, running her fingers through her hair to free it of any tangles gained during flight. Once the R2 had finished its report, Lyngia opened the cockpit and jumped out of the X-wing, landing lightly on the hanger floor. She tossed her helmet into the seat and headed over to the group surrounding James.
She listened patiently to what James had to say, her mind picking through the information she had on the enemy and the situation, subconsciously trying to find a way to deal the Empire a devastating blow. A smile came to the woman's lips as she began to form a plan; well, more of the beginnings of an idea on how to gather the information necessary to form a foolproof plan.
Grinning, Lyngia caught James's eye. "I may have an idea," she said, hands on hip. "It may be a little crazy, and it involves a tea party, but it could work." She reached up and tugged on her bangs, knowing how crazy her idea would sound. "I'll also need to be declared Grand Admiral of some fleet. Just for credibility reasons. And if there is any feasible way of providing me with an Imperial Star Destroyer or any warship of somewhat equal status, that would be great."
She was being purposely vague, as this was a plan to be discussed in secret with those in command. And also because the crazier she sounded, the more confused any spies or informants would be.
