"A Ground and Flying type huh, well you definitely countered my Electric Typing well, but you're forgetting Magnemite's also a steel type, so you're moves won't be very effective either." Wattson pointed out, but Nick was undeterred.

"True, but Gliscor is tough, strong too, and his complete immunity to your electric type moves still gives us an advantage, however small it may be." Nick replied, Gliscor grunting, ready for battle.

"WHAHAHAHAHA, confident are we, well then, I'll let you have the first move." Wattson offered.

"Alright then, Gliscor let's kick things off with X-Sizzor!" Nick instructed. Gliscor's claws glowed as he crossed them, leaving two streaks of light that formed an X. He then dashed towards Magnemite at great speed, hoping to ram it with the attack.

"Use Magnet Bomb!" Wattson called, Magnemite stood its ground and summoned a multitude of small steel balls around it, shooting them simultaneously at Gliscor. X-Sizzor countered the initial few, but some still managed to hit their mark, but it didn't cause too much damage. "Now, use Supersonic!" Wattson commanded before Gliscor could react. Magnemite let out a strange sound wave at Gliscor, once it reached his ears it became dizzy and confused.

"Oh no!" Nick cried in dismay. "Gliscor, Aerial Ace!" He tried to tell it, at first it seemed Gliscor understood, but it just did a loop in the air and slammed itself into the ground.

"Use Magnet Bomb again!" Wattson said, and so Gliscor was bombarded with more magnetic spheres.

"Damn, this isn't gonna work!" Nick lamented, he had the worse luck with the confused state, when his Pokemon were confused they always hurt themselves, but when he confused his opponents Pokemon, they always manage to get a hit or two in, it sucked. "Gliscor return!" Nick called him back to his Pokeball, the next time he would be called out the confusion would be worn off. "Alright Gengar, you're up!" Nick called out his next Pokemon, Gengar appeared with its usual sinister looking grin on his face.

Jake didn't seem all too interested, until Gengar came out. Genagr was easily amongst his favorite pokemon, heck he even could Mega evolve one! His strongest pokemon he'd ever raised was his Gengar, Grimm. However he left Grimm back with his younger sister in Kalos, mostly to be a secret weapon as she planned to go to the pokemon league.

"Can it mega evolve?"Jake called down to Nick, though he tried not to be too loud as to hopefully keep it a secret should Nick's Gengar be able to evolve.

Banette took damage from the burn but was still standing strong. Panting a bit he seemed over all fine. "That Alakazam of yours sure is something. I think I could help you with him." Fal seemed to respect Seren as a trainer. Not his battle style or tactics but his determination and will power. "Now Banette time to end it." Banette looked at Alakazam and grinned. "Now use Facade." Banette's body got an orange glow and t charged that Alakazam. Alakazam wasn't the fastest with moving so Banette managed to make contact. An explosion occurred leaving the battles out come behind it. Facade was a back up move for Banette. In case someone did have synchronize or another stat move. It would be twice as powerful if Banette had a status ailment. And with his high attack power Alakazam wouldn't of stood a chance in it's weakened state.

"The psychic type is then hit with banettes facade. "Alakazam no!" Alakazam gives Seren a weak thumbs up before falling on the ground. "Alakazam you've done your best. Return." Then seren retreats his alakazam into good pokéball. "I've got to admit your no easy opponent. You've won fair and square." Seren then walks up to fal and holds his hand out. "What I dont understand is what you did to your banette in that last match."

"Nah, never found a Mega Stone for it, but he's still plenty strong without it." Nick replied, Gengar nodding in agreement.

"WHAHAHAHA, well then, we better bring out A game then, Magnemite, use Thunder Shock!" Magnemite charged itself up with electricity and shot it at Gengar.

"Dodge it!" Nick commanded, Gengar obeying and easily moving out of the way. "Now use Shadow Ball!" Not missing a beat, Gengar created the large ball of darkness and shot it out at Magnemite, hitting it dead on and causing a large explosion. "Alright, direct hit!"

"Magnemite, you ok!" Wattson asked as the smoke cleared. Magnemite was damaged, but it was still able to fight. "Alright, use Thunder Wave!" Magnemite let out a weak electric charge at Gengar, hoping to paralyze it.

"Oh no you don't, Gengar counter with Night Shade!" Gengar let out a pulse of ghostly energy, disrupting the Thunder Wave before it could reach him, and hitting Magnemite for some additional damage. "Let's see how you like it, use Hypnosis!" Gengar hit Magnemite with a hypnotic wave, putting it to sleep. "Let's wrap this up with Dream Eater!" Nick instructed. Gengar forcibly absorbed Magnemite's psychic energy made by its dreams, Greatly damaging it. Magnemite jolted awake from the pain but immediately fainted.

"Magnemite is unable to battle, Gengar wins!" the Ref announced.

"Alright, way to go Gengar!" Nick praised his Pokemon, who seemed to appreciate it.

"Return Magnemite, you did well." Wattson called back Magnemite and pulled out another Pokeball. "Now, Voltorb, let's go!" Wattson called out his next Pokemon, Voltorb.

Jenny

"Okay so ground beats electric.... I think.... so Hannibal would be best here..."Jenny muttered to herself. She'd been in Hoenn for quite a few weeks by now, wanting to surprise him and go with him through the region. Unfortunately she arrived a while before Jake did, having over estimated how long a plane flight would've been compared to a boat ride. So she decided to try beating the Pokemon league in the mean time. So far her efforts had been in vein. So far shes had to take on each gym she's been to multiple times. She fought Roxxane five times, She fought Brawly twice, mostly due to her team being made up entirely of Ghost pokemon. Today was her fourth attempt in a row at beating Wattson. "Alright Ecto, let's get going."Jenny said, leaving the hotel she'd been staying at, with her first pokemon, a haunter, following after her happily. As with most days Jenny's outfit consisted of her usual top, a short sleeves shirt with a green body and black sleeves with one hanging off the shoulder, a pair of denim shorts with her black and yellow striped leggings under them, and a Jacket her older brother gave her that was similar to his, though the coattails were shorter and it had a hood with a design similar to a mismagius's head/hat and a similar color scheme to it. "Okay so Hannibal goes first... unless he starts with the Magnemite... than.... Ashes goes first, and then Hannibal unless she uses the other Magnet one, then Ashes stays in battle, and then I swap out to Hannibal.... I think."Jenny rambled to herself.

Fal holds out his hand and shakes Serens. "You mean mega evolution? Well it is basically a power boost. You see certain pokemon have the ability to react with certain stones. They are called mega stones." Fal says pointing to the stone on Banette's chest. Fal raised his hand and closed his fist. Banette nodded and glowed bright for a second before being back in his original form with glowing white particles around him that soon fade. "It requires the trainer to have a key stone like this one." Fal shows off the pendant around his neck. "When you and your pokemon have a strong enough bond you will both be able to. When mega evolved a pokemons power becomes exponentially more powerful. Basically a mega evolved pokemon could take care of most none mega evolved pokemon. The form change however is still unknown. It is believed to maybe be a part of evolution that could of happened. Or maybe it is just a pokemons potential taking physical form." Fal smirked and chuckled at himself why he contemplated the situation. "Needless to say it takes a lot of training to get it right. Plus stones are annoying to come by. It is almost like the stones seek out people who are worthy." Fal smirks some more as he returns Banette to his pokeball. "Now then. Let's go to the pokemon center."

"Sure." Seren walks along with fal to the pokemon center. "So mega evolution seems like a new type of evolution. Also your saying not all ppwoemon can do it. And even more so you need a key stone and a megas tone for your pokemon. And for it to be triggered you need a strong bond with your pokemon. Hmm. Looks like were here." Seren walks into the automatic with falderen. "Welcome to the pokemon center how may I help you two?

"Voltorb, use Charge!" Wattson called out, Voltorb obeyed and electricity began to flow into it from the tesla coils around the field.

"Alright Gengar, hit him with a Shadow Ball!" Nick said. Gengar summoned the ball of dark energy and shot it at the pokeball shaped Pokemon, Voltorb showing no signs of moving.

"Charge Beam, go!" Wattson exclaimed. Voltorb gathered all of its electricity into a single point and fired of a powerful electric beam, powered up from the Charge move earlier. It ripped right through the Shadow Ball and made contact with Gengar, knocking it out of the air.

"Gengar, are you ok?" Nick said with concern. Gengar took a lot of damage, but it shook it off and refocused on the fight. "Alright Gengar, Hypnosis!" Nick said, playing it safe. Gengar sent out the same hypnotic wave as before.

"WHAHAHAHAHAH, do you really think we'd fall for the same trick twice, Voltorb, dodge with Rollout!" Wattson instructed. Voltorb rolled to the side at great speeds, completely dodging the Hypnosis. Before Nick and Gengar could react, Voltorb slammed its Rollout right into Gengar. "That's it, keep up the pressure Voltorb!" Voltorb circled around for another Rollout.

"Gengar, dodge it!" Nick ordered. Gengar did as it was told and leaped over the rolling Voltorb, but it then immediately circled around and nailed Gengar for more damage. "Damn!"

"As you know, Rollout is a move that gets stronger the longer you use it, if you don't do something soon your Gengar is gonna be in serious trouble." Wattson warned as Voltorb circled around for yet another attack. Nick thought quickly.

"Alright Gengar, stand your ground and use Shadow Ball!" Nick instructed. Gengar planted its feet firmly on the ground and summoned the Shadow Ball. Just as Voltorb was about to nail him, he brought the Shadow Ball onto him, creating a large explosion. As the smoke cleared Voltorb had stopped rolling and backed away from the fortunately still standing Gengar. Just then, little sparks began to emanate from Gengar, causing him discomfort. "What, that's..."

"That's right, Voltorb's special ability, Static, looks like that Gengar is gonna have a hard time dodging from now on." Wattson said. "Let's finish this, Voltorb use Charge Beam!" Voltorb let out one last Charge Beam that scored a direct hit, knocking Gengar out.

"Gengar no!" Nick cried.

"Gengar, is unable to battle, Voltorb wins!" The ref announced.

"Good job Gengar, return." Nick called back his Gengar. "Now, Gliscor come back out!" He exclaimed as he brought back out his no longer confused Shiny Gliscor.

Jenny

Jenny walked into the gym, gulping. She noticed the ref wasn't there and shrugged, going further inside. She walked into the gym and quickly noticed Wattson was already battling someone else. She sighed heading over to the seats, before noticing Jake. "Aw man.... I didn't know he'd be here so soon...."She grumbled.

Jake

Jake watched the battle. Thankfully for Gliscor, his typing made him immune to charge beam as well as rollout, leaving atleast only one move that could damage it. "Try leading up with what ever ground type moves Gliscor knows."Jake suggested.

"Just stopped by to heal our pokemon." Fal hands over his pokeballs and sits down. "Well mega evolution has been around for centuries. It has just been experimented with and used more recently." Fal looks at his key stone and taps something in his pocket. "But keystones are extremely rare. With most of them being with lead researchers and the majority with the pokemon league. You could find them else where but that's extremely rare."

"Odd enough for your key stone seems familiar in some sort of way. I know I've seen something like this before. Hmm..." Seren then starts to concentrate trying to remember where he's seen a stone like falderan's before. "Aha! I know where I've seen a key stone or something similar." Seren then puts his bag down and starts to did in it. He pulls out a wallet with and pulls out a ring accessory. And within the ring was a strange purplish and pink stone. "Do you think this might be a keystone? My dad had it and then passed it down to me before he... Passed. But otherwise it just might be a keystone. I've noticed charizard fools around with it nudging me to put it on. Check it out. It just might suffice." Seren holds out the mysterious stone for fal to look at.

"Uh, well you see.. Gliscor doesn't know any ground type moves." Nick said nervously, Gliscor lowering his head in embarrassment as well.

"WHAHAHAHAH, no ground type moves huh, well that's good to know." Wattson said. "Alright Voltorb, use Swift!" Voltorb let out a flurry of glowing, star like projectiles at Gliscor. Swift was a move that never missed, so dodging would be pointless.

"Gliscor, defend with X-Scissor!" Nick instructed. Gliscor stood its ground and blocked all of the projectiles with its energy X, leaving him unharmed. "Now, power up with Swords Dance!" Gliscor's claws glowed and grew to become more sword like, it then did an intricate, dance like kata, raising its attack stat greatly.

"Voltorb, use Rollout!" Wattson ordered, causing Voltorb to roll at Gliscor.

"Counter with Aerial Ace!" Nick commanded. Gliscor obeyed and began flying in the air with great mastery, clashing with Voltorb's Rollout. a rock type move may be good against a flying type move, but the Swords Dance from earlier gave it enough power to hold its own against the Rollout. After the fourth clash however, the Rollout overpowered the Aerial Ace, forcing Gliscor to stop in the air.

"That was a good struggle kid, but not good enough, this fifth hit is gonna be a knock out. Alright, Voltorb, let him have it!" Wattson exclaimed. Voltorb leaped into the air, intending to ram Gliscor with that last powerful hit. However...

"...That's exactly what we wanted you to do." Nick said, much to Wattson's confusion. "Gliscor, use Guillotine!" Gliscor's claw glowed with immense power and grew in size as well. The move had terrible accuracy, but with Voltorb in the air, it couldn't dodge. Gliscor grabbed the spinning voltorb in his claw and slammed it into the ground, a one hit KO.

"Voltorb is unable to battle, Gliscor wins!" the ref announced.

"Alright, we did it Gliscor!" Nick cheered, but it was far from over.

"Return, Voltorb, good work." Wattson said as he called back Voltorb. "I gotta admit Nick, I didn't see that coming, pretty impressive if you ask me, but you'll see that I have few tricks up my sleeve myself with this next Pokemon. Go, Magneton!" Wattson cried as he called out his last Pokemon, the evolved form of Magnemite, Magneton.

Jenny

Jenny watched the battle, not sure if she'd be able to battle Wattson today. She glanced back over at her brother, who still had yet to notice her.

"Let me look at that." Fal takes the stone and examines it. "It's strange. It seems real but. Theres something odd about it. It's like it is dead? But how?" Fal pulls out a tiny glass tablet like devise and scans the stone. "This is odd. Why is this?" Fal seems extremely intrigued by the item and what it means.

"It looks like the stone itself may be dead. Or even broken. However I did realize during our battle the stone started to flash. I ignored it during the battle but now it seems quite suspicious. I'm not sure what it means but it seemed to react to your banette mega evolving. It jut started to flash. But I'm not sure what it does or what it is for that matter. Hmm..." Seren stares at the stone in hard focus. and without warning the stone begins to flash repeatedly in a slow manner. "Woah! It's flashed!" The stone starts to flash in a pining motion. Flashing for a second then stopping and repeating the process.

"Alright, one more Pokemon, let's finish this Gliscor." Nick said to his Pokemon, who uttered its name in confirmation. "Now, start off with X-Scissor!" Gliscor obeyed and came rushing at Magneton with its energy X.

"Don't think it'll be so easy. Magneton, counter with Thunderbolt!" Wattson instructed. Magneton launched a blast of electricity at Gliscor, and while it took no damage, the force of the attack stopped him and the collision with the X-Scissor caused an explosion, which forced Gliscor to retreat. "Now, follow up with Flash Cannon!" Magneton's body began to glow with metallic energy and it then fired a powerful metallic beam at Gliscor.

"Dodge with Aerial Ace!" Nick called out. Gliscor effortlessly dodged he beam in the air, closing in on Magneton for an attack.

"Thunderbolt!" Wattson quickly ordered. Magneton shot out a bolt of lightning at Gliscor yet again, and again Gliscor took no damage, but being an electric type move it greatly weakened the flying type Aerial Ace, enough so that the impact was easily shaken off. "Now, finish it with Flash Cannon!" Wattson said before the smoke even cleared. Without missing a beat Magneton fired a Flash Cannon straight at Gliscor, scoring a direct hit. Gliscor fell to the ground, knocked out.

"Gliscor is unable to battle, Magneton wins!" the ref stated.

"Oh man, that Magneton's strong." Nick stated in awe. "Return Gliscor, you deserve a good rest." He called back his Gliscor, each side only had one Pokemon left, and Nick knew exactly which one he would use. "Alright, Infernape, let's do this!" Nick cried as he threw his last Pokeball, calling out his Infernape.

Jenny

Jenny watched Nick's battle with Wattson. She kept glancing from the battle to her older brother. She gulped as the battle was nearing its conclusion, hoping Wattson would be able to heal up his pokemon quickly. She clenched Hannibal's pokeball nervously.

"Well this is interesting. Once we are finished here we should head off to Mauville city. There is someone there I reckon we should talk to." Fal says standing and handing you the stone putting the scanning devise into his pocket and standing as the main desk makes a sound showing out pokemon and images on our pokedex's signaling us to collect out pokemon. "That looks like we should go." I say smirking.

"Alright. We should get moving as fast as possible. Let's get going." Seren then grabs his pokéball's and pockets his mysterious stone. "By the way do you know the type of the gym in Mauville city ? After all were still entering the hoenn league after all." Suddenly as Seren gets closer to the door the stone flashes at a a slightly faster frequency. "Woah! Maybe its trying to lead me somewhere" Seren then waves the stone back and forth to test his theory. The stone flashes faster as it gets closer to the door. "How odd. Well we should probably get moving." Seren amd falderan then make there way to Mauville city.
