"Most intreaging. A large city built into a space station. With contained oxygen, gravity and controlled climates. This is not as impressive as the shield worlds or the halo array but it is still a testimony to the reapers ingenuity." Flare looked examining the area. He kept referring to how the forerunners installations and artificial worlds are superior as a way of taunting. As he flew through the large halls and past the gardens many of the citizens looked at him oddly. "Is this the capital for your galaxies parliament?" He asks viewing every detail from public phone terminals to security doors.
"For the Council, yes it is."Riisart said. Above them were several reapers, flying in and out of the Citadel, the most noteworthy being Harbinger, who was perched on some tower-like construct coming from the center of the station. That big one way over there is Harbinger. He's the leader of the Reapers, and speaks for them in the Council."Riisart explained. "Though I'm sure he thinks his current job is much more monotonous than his original."The Salarian chuckled.
"They are glorious. It's funny how such mighty and powerful machines have been brought down so far. With their original purpose unavailable to them they know help you almost as slaves." The monitor twitches and flashes red for a fraction of a second. Keeping up with the Salarian he continued to examine the city.
"I wouldn't say slaves. There's nothing keeping them here, and they could and most likely would decimate nearly everything in the galaxy if they so chose."Riisart said. "We didn't enslave them during the war. The crucible was fired and they just well... stopped attacking."Riisart said.
"Yes I saw the records and footage from that. To me it seemed like an ai re arrangement signal. Basically it looked like it over write or re set the reapers basic ideas and programming. But I would be unable to determine this without examination of the reapers before and after the incident." Flare keeps up as the two of them enter the elevator.
"Perhaps."Riisart said. "I think an examination of the crucible may be useful as well, though I doubt we'll be able to gain access to it."Riisart said. He pressed a few buttons and the Elevator moved up, soon coming out at the Presidium. "Haven't been here in quite a while."Riisart said.
"It feels like I have been here before. Well I have just viewed all data for several species over many centuries. Maybe that is why?" He asks mainly to himself. "I am assuming I will go through a interrogation. That seems to be what your council does."
"If you were meeting the Council yes, but you're not meeting the Council. GASA is a separate governmental body from the Council. Though our leaders live on the Citadel, at least until we can get a capital world."Riisart said.
"Most disappointing. I would love to meet and speak with the council." Floating along with Riisart he looked to see the guards. "I will love to meet these GASA leaders at least." He had a skip in his step nearly having a more positive out look on the situation.
"Well, you very well might met them."Riisart said as he and flare approached Brazz's office. Outside it were a pair of Salarian troopers, with their armor having the GASA trademark of doubling as labcoats, and the drab green and charcoal grey color scheme.
Flying up to the guards Flare looked at their bodies and examined their uniform. "I am assuming they are in there?" He says floating in front of them getting some weird looks from the guards. Being about the size of a basket ball and black he was certainly an odd sight.
"Well, Brazz is."Riisart said. He activated his Omni tool, showing something, most likely some kind of badge to the guards before they let him into the room. "Doctor Prut."Riisart said, holding his hands behind his back. Brazz was working at a terminal with his back facing the door. "Greetings Doctor Novalla. I assume you have the Ai you discovered with you?"Brazz asked. His outfit was similar to the guards, but seemed to be more decorative and had a few traces of gold on it. Unlike Riisart, Brazz had grey skin, and a few scars across his body, most notably a series of scars going across his face that he received from an angry Varen.
"I was not discovered Brazz is it? If anything I discovered this organic. They where on my installation during our first meeting. I found their ship and accessed it. Hacking its simple mainframe was a simple task. But in your universe I guess he did discover me." Flare was very precise and logical in his response. He then scanned Brazz's face and body the same as he does when ever he encounters new things.
"So, where are you from? Tech such as yourself has yet to be cataloged."Brazz asked, glancing at Flare. Riisart remained silent, allowing Flare to begin explaining
"Well i am not quiet sure. From what I have gathered a malfunctioning mass relay accompanying several slipspace ruptures caused a rip in the barriers between universes. That seems to have allowed your universe and mine to connect. This led to the ships Normandy and Polyanthus coming into my universe. I am assuming you know the events that happened inside my universe." Flare gave his examination while scanning the room. "My full service number is 487 Reliant Flare. I am the monitor of forerunner shield world Siren. It was a world in charge of flood research in that section of the galaxy." His explanations continued giving many details and information.
"I assume 'Flood' refers to those fungal Parasites Doctor Novalla had begun to study?"Brazz asked. "So what use would you have if you were employed by GASA?"Brazz asked.
"Well flood is their correct designation. I would request you use the correct terminology when discussing it. I could assist with your scientific studies. My people the forerunners have mastered several of the technologies you are trying to get operational." He continued to brag about the forerunners accomplishments while being as discrete as he could. "I would of course require access to all your data bases. In the most detail you have too. When I have all information you have it is a simple process for myself to calculate improvements and what not."
"You'll have to prove you're useful to us before I give you access to all of our data."Brazz said. He wasn't the most sound of scientists, having always been paranoid, particularly about advanced AI's. And your 'forerunners' accomplishments do not matter here. The only ounce of their tech we have access to is you, and that's it."Brazz said. "Perhaps we may be able to go on an expedition to prove his usefulness?"Riisart said. "A couple weeks ago I got contact from a Quarian vessel. They had discovered an un explored planet and at the time were planning an expedition. I will have you, and the crews of the Polyanthus and the Cromwell go to this planet to aid in cataloging. I will also be stationing a senior science officer aboard the Polyanthus.. Come back when she deems you have enough information."Brazz said. "Then I will attempt to get you an appointment amongst our leaders and they will decide what to do with you."Brazz said.
"Very well. When shall I leave?" Flare says in his usual gleeful yet agreeing tone. He continues to scan the room and focuses on the communications terminal for longer.
Garrus, Palpus and Threskgar headed down the tunnel. "How much longer until we get anywhere?"Threskgar asked impatiently.
