"My uncle was a big producer in the business and all I wanted to do was fight bad guys." Sam laughed, "I was like six or seven when my mother died, and I never knew my father." He wasn't to damaged by these facts though, "kinda like a Bruce Wayne thing I guess, mom gets murdered I learn to fight. She died of infection but still..." The group over all seemed to enjoy the food, so he continued to chat up the assassin gentleman.
"So when I was nine I moved in with my uncle and started advanced marshal arts. By twelve I was a black belt, by fifteen I was the best on the west coast, seventeen best in the country," Sam was enjoying gloating. "By twenty I was competing in Europe and China I was actually beaten in Hong Kong by Mr. Andrew Lee. But I did fight and beat Nathan Mare in Europe and win the title of best in Brittian!" Nathan wasn't amoung the people out here eatting, shame maybe? Sam didn't care. The fact that he had beaten Andrew meant that Mare had gotten a lot stronger since they last met.
"I returned to the states where my uncle had written a movie about me and my story, we made so much money that the next four movies were just for fun." Sam finished his food, and looked at the Asian man. "How about you? I entered this for the title of best in the world, why did you enter??"

Kenji sat in a secluded corner, silently watching as the men and women who just yesterday were at each others throats now shared pleasant conversation, over a hot meal. The Ninja had awoken much earlier than the others and ate his breakfast then, he was on a strict meal regiment, so he didn't partake in the feast any. Kenji could feel the Demon's presence, it's irritation at the merriment of the fighters, perhaps it fed of conflict, off negative energy and this tournament was just a way to get its fix. But if so then why have a two day grace period, for the fighters to heal? Either way, the Demon was not happy with the current turn of events. As far as Kenji could tell the fighters were merely making idle conversation, nothing really for him to be concerned about. He was about to leave back to his room, but then the focus shifted to Ryu; he decided to stay, if only to see if his assumptions of the assassin were correct.
The masked man shrugged a moment. "I mainly didn't believe a demon would host such a tournament and that people would actually show up. So curiosity I guess is the main reason I'm here. Thus the tournament being a real thing I have stayed for the fun of it" "Nice chatting with you, but I really need to be going. I have a regiment to keep to and all. Good luck in round two." he'd turn and start to walk away.
At this point a dark shadowy branch extended rapidly out of no where sticking into the blades of one of the helicopters talking off. A loud explosion could be heard outside, then a second explosion! A few combatants began to panic. Victoria Dragoff approached the temple door and tried to open it, but it was sealed. "Good work on the first round everyone, but now that you have had your fun and become a little two friendly with one another may I present the final rule of the Competition!" The back wall began to sizzle and the two guards dropped to the floor, they had only ever been ghosts, haunting the temple, trapped there. "Only one person may leave this temple alive! Only the winner of the torniment, and if any rules are broken in panic I will personally see too it that the people who lost the last Kings of Combat competition will kill you." The guards reanimated, this time there were fifteen different guards dressed in black robes with fifteen different red maskes, each with different patterns. "So go on, be happy and merry if you want! But the people you feast with now, may just end your life in the days to come!" The Demon vanished, and silent panic was about as a final warning was echoed through the temple halls, "die here, or live forever..."
Sam, like everyone, was silent. The group looked around at the other fighters, they had just made friends, gained respect. But that was all gone now, the group was now realizing that it was one for all and all for one. I challenge the boxer! The man from New Zealand yelled, but the boxer would have none of that. The serial killer charged the Brittish fighter, but his nose was broken instantly. The boxer looked down at the man writhing in pain. "Nathan don't," Sam said sternly. Sorry Thorne, this is no movie. This is real life. And a fist broke threw the New Zealand Killers face. Splattering blood and brains on the temple floor, with that only fifteen fighters were left and round two had begun. Some looked shocked but others felt a wave of releif. Now that the first fighter had been killed it was like an open invitation, killing would now be more common and the Demon was pleased. By the end of round two no more then a dozen fighters would be left alive.
(where is everyone there have to more then three authors)
(Sorry guys, I was kind of in Lazy Bastard mode for a while there)
It always surprised Kenji just how easily friendships and understandings could crumble in the face of doom, the demon practically put a knife at every single one of their throats and told them to kill or be killed, and one way or another only one would be left alive at the end of this ordeal. However, he couldn't help but be disgusted by the senseless death of the Serial Killer, they were all going to die anyway, soiling their own hands with their blood was pointless and dishonorable. After all, there was no rule that said that they were required to kill their opponents, just that they would not be allowed to leave should they be eliminated from the tournament, which just made the Demon's satisfied chuckles all the more tragic. And no round two was too begin, who would be next to be swept up in the Demon's threat and take the next life, he knew one thing, if he was no required too, he would not kill in this tournament.

Loki was reknown in her village not to kill her opponate in combat. Only when she is hunting with her family and pack.
Ryu's golden eyes narrowed at the statement. Well, that was an obvious twist. Enough time with demons told you there was a reason. So the dead became servants to the demons, and their souls likely food. That explained why he chose so many strong to be here. But why let someone live? Curious, very curious. Despite many who had misgivings about the new ruleset, it suited Ryu fine. Best be done with people who'd use immortality for their own gain anyway. That and he had no real connection with these people.
Sam watched the man he fought in round one challenge Sesco the giant, the sword man tore apart the shadows that the eight foot man tried to bind him with and brought the strong man to his knees after just a few minutes of fighting, there was no kill and Sven even helped Sesco up. "So at least not everyone here was evil, next up the fireball fighter, Victoria Dragoff challenged little Loki Black, the only two women in the game were about to go head to head, "she's just a child..." Thorne mumbled to himself, "please don't force me to watch you kill a child."
Loki got up from the dark cornner and stepped into the ring. She was smaller then her opponate. Loki took her fight stance and raised her fist."Clear head for battle. dont lose concentration on pray. glory for my people."She said to herself.
(Will you be controling the npc Royal)
(Will you be controling the npc Royal)
Loki attacked first landing a blow to the opponates chest then jump aside as a fist flew through the air at her face. loki growled at the opponate. she jumped up onto the rathers and used the darkness to get a better aim. Loki jumped right on her prays head, knocking her down. Loki punched the prays face until it blead uncontrolablely. Loki was then kicked off and she landed on her back a few metres away. Pain shot through her chest. She slowly got up and faced the Pray. Loki ran, jumped and landed behind her kicked the backof the opponate, fliped in the air and kicked of the wall at the pray and tackled her down. Lokis insticnt took over and she bared her teeth. Punched the back of the prays and and knock her out. Loki Stood up clutching her ribs. Her ankle was swollen from when she was push of the knocked out pray.
Thorne wanted to show Therese people a fight didn't have to end in killing, but since he had really only made nice with one of the competitors he figured he should challenge Ryu, at the same time it might be better to have him around longer to be able to help him fight off the challengers who might turn deadly... At the same time, Ryu himself may turn deadly, it was all very confusing. A person was challenged Frank Beaumont's body fell, his head calmly resting in Jun's hand. At the end of the fight Sam raised his hand, "I challenge Ryu!!!" He looked at his foe, he needed to make sure Ryu knew Sam wouldn't be fighting to kill, even if he himself was planning on trying to kill Thorne. Sam took his starting possition and was all locked into his fighting stance across from Ryu, "let's do this samurai jack."
Ryu moved into position just across from Sam. He was wordless about it. He was missing the sword he normally had on his hip. Perhaps he had left it in his room. Regardless he was ready. Ryu sank into his fighting stance. Left foot forward slightly. Left arm just above the leg and hand opened, palm pointed towards himself. Back leg slightly bent at shoulder length, his body at a 45 degree angle. Not quite completely facing sideways but not square either. His right hand was open, palm up towards the sky and the arm was at his clavicle. His eyes didn't seem to speak mercy, then again the golden orbs were hard to read.
"Before I kick your ass, please... Tell me what kind of hair gel you use?" Thorne grinned as he put his hood up on his sweatshirt. It was getting rather cold but Sam didn't mind, falling into his own fighting stance he smiled and advanced on the enemy. From what he had seen this guy was entirely speed based. Quick, weak attacks with defense based on balence, not force. Throw this guy off balence and he will slow down and take hits hard! Sam started with a quick fist to the enemies face, missing by a few inches. He never meant to hit, the enemy was being misdirected. Falling lower a sweep kick threw Ryu to his back. Rolling backward Thorne threw down a heavy attack while his enemy was flat on his back, balence-less. "Fist of Thorne's," and his fist hit the Temple floor charging power as it cracked slightly threw the stone snaking its way to Ryu. If it hit, the Attack would break a good two or three ribs! But was Ryu still too fast???
Ryu was unfortunately pretty agile. As soon as the sweep came the man propelled himself in the air backwards and caught himself on a back handspring. So much for being flat on his back. As soon as he touched ground his right fist came tight to his core and his legs pushed off full force. The air around the arena, and the people themselves would start to feel a draw towards the masked fighter. The air began to tighten around him as he launched towards Thorne. Seeing as he was punching the ground and he had put that hood up his peripheral vision would be limited Ryu was about to get the drop on the Fighter. Ryu's fist came out with a powerful punch. It wasn't a weak attack, no if this fist made contact with Sam he'd feel a shockwave of explosive force rattle around his body and possible even break the afflicted area. Even if the attacked missed the shockwave would go out for a few feet and feel like the man had punched him normally. After the punch he'd follow up with a kick attempt to kick the guy away from him.
Sam looked at the man, dead in the eye, "surprised eh? How many people can catch a fist like that," applying the pressure of his Fist of Thorne she shattered the mans fist! But with a cost, Ryu's kick didn't feel so good making contact with his side. Releasing the crumpled fist Sam wondered how he was able to make that sweep before. He had felt the contact of his foot and the samurai man's leg. He saw him fall too, how odd. But at this point it didn't much matter, "sorry about that broken hand my friend, I'm sure it will heal."
It would have been a mistake to catch the man's fist. Mainly because he had all that energy stored up in it. The concussive energy from Ryu's own attack countered the power of Thornes fist. It damaged his hand but Throne's own hand would be riddled as well. This however would send both fighters apart from one another thus negating Ryu's earlier attempt to kick. Ryu didn't waste time talking though. There would be a brief flicker in his person and the next moment Ryu would be up in Sam's personal space. He attempted to throw a quick succession of punches with his left hand., the power of each would increase with each one. They were all aimed at the man's sternum and the pressure points of his chest. If they landed it would This was of course if the man hadn't caught Ryu before and began to block or dodge.
To describe the power of Sam Thorne would be like describing a punching bag mixed with a locomotive. The 'Fist of Thorne' ability could break a block of wood or weak brick, but when physical attack were taken in over time he obtained the kenetic strength the break a man's hand with ease or even shatter a stone floor. It was a combination of energy transfer, and the will to focus it into his Attack. He had caught Ryu's fist and absorbed the energy of it taking very minimal damage to his hand. Then focusing the damage back using his will power shattered the bones in the samurai man's hand. But as for this moment Sam was attempting to dodge and weave through the rain of fists, he had been hit a few times but this kind of power was still just physical damage. This meant it wasn't very effective on the Hollywood hero, but Sven's blades, Sesco's shadow power, or Kenji's wind would be super effective since he couldn't absorb the kenetic force and focus it with his will. After taking a few hits from Ryu the cocky son of a gun stopped, sweeping his left arm he pushed any attacking fists away and through his right arm in towards Ryu's face, would it hit? Sam was definitely not as fast as this guy, but unless Ryu had a special trick Sam was looking at a one sided match up.
There was a flicker as Sam's fist phased through Ryu's head. The next second a blade of shadow energy was headed for Sam's spine. Ryu was now suddenly behind his opponent? What had happened. With Sam attacking the after-image it was hard to imagine that his Wraith Blade would miss. If it did hit it would pierce not through flesh but Sam's essence. He'd feel like he had been drained. The energy around Ryu's hand would disappear after the attack. Three other Ryus would appear next to him after the attack. A vortex of black energy was swirling around the feet of the four Ryus.
