(I'm erasing everything from my this, 'cause none of it makes sense and kt doesn't really effect the story, anyways.)
"bloody hell! Since when we're there
dark and blood conduits?" he asked coking a brow, he spotted a puddle of blood in the corner. He was weary, approaching it with his frosted arm pointed towards it. It rippled with each step he took, as soon as he got within a meter distance he froze it with a jet of frost "I guess we can use him for interrogation" but his impulse got the best of him and he shattered the puddle "nah I can't take the chance of him assassinating anyone"
A meaty guy came stomping through the doors, his military uniform making it obvious that he was uncle Sam's lap dog. "what happened here!?" the man demanded, Sly was pretty taken back by his demeanor
"we fought off conduits is what just happened" Sly replied approaching the man "no thanks to you"

"We have everything under control general, no need to worry." Arsenic assured the apparent general, but he didn't look convinced.
"You better Doctor, the higher ups aren't too thrilled about your lack of progress, there been talks of another budget cut if you don't give us something worthwhile, and soon." The General replied harshly. He then turned his attention to the other Conduits.
"Oh, uh, allow me introduce you all." Arsenic said. "This here is General Patterson, he's the official that oversees the CCD and usually handles negotiations with the military. General, these are the Conduits I told you about, Nick Kell, Sylvester Fox, Evan Thompson, and Jaqulynn Willow, you already know Ms. Greco." He introduced. The General approached the group, examining them closely. "So, these are the Non-Holstiles that saved the Rescue Camp. I must say I'm surprised, the only Conduits I've had the pleasure of meeting were either bloodthirsty heathens, or too afraid of themselves to even flee from capture. Its good to see some are able to put their... "gifts" to good use, I look forward to working with you all." he extended his hand for a handshake with the closest Conduit to him.

During the introductions, Nick stepped forward, making sure he was the one the General would approach, mostly to avoid any further contact with Sly. He took the man's hand and shook it.
"Uh, likewise." Nick replied, giving the man a firm handshake, he didn't really like the tone he used when referring to other Conduits, but if he was going to work with the CCD and stop the Beast, they needed to be on good terms with this man... and so he needed to keep Sly as far a way from him as possible.
"So, what exactly are you four... bringing to the table?" He inquired, most likely referring to their powers.
"Well, my power is Audiokinesis, you know, Sound Manipulation." Nick said, generating some sound waves in his hand to prove it. "And Sly here has Cryokinesis, Ice Manipulation." He continued, again trying to avoid, Sly saying anything more to offend the man. He let the rest do their own introductions.

Sly opened his mouth with his fist raised towards the man but Nick stopped him by lowering his arm and nudging him, Sly looked at Nick with a partially mad look, he looked back at the General, then back at Nick "Sod it" Sylvester was annoyed but he took the hint. He leaned against a nearby table with his arms folded "Budget cuts? Want me to sort it ou--" Nick jabbed Sly in the arm before he finished that sentence. Sly rubbed his arm, again, getting the hint. He wasn't gunna stay quiet for long, Nick's actually really lucky that Sly is listening, Sly never listens. The General raised a brow at Sly, he eyed him, sizing Sly up. The General decided to ignore his remark "I hope that our arrangement is clear son, it is mutual, I don't have to like you and you don't have to like me. In fact, I don't like new people in general. So you better make sure that whatever comes out of that mouth next doesn't make me hate you more" the general threatened standing up close to Sly getting up into his face. The General's mustache was partly grey and white along with edges of his military style hair.
Sly returned the stare and pushed the General slowly away from him, to the general it was stronger than normal men so he didn't put much of a fight "Don't worry gramps" Sly smiled devilishely. The general looked about in his late 50's "I promise you that you'll have a heart attack from my methods" Sly tossed his bat on the table and rolled up his sleeves "And you're right, i don't have to like you, i don't think i will anytime sooner or later. completely mutual" Sly showed no signs of fear from the General's power, the ma seemed like he flaunted his power at others to get undeserved respect, he wasn't going to get it from Sylvester.

Jaqulynn watched, not saying anything. She seriously hope Sly did something stupid that got him locked up. "Uh.. .yeah. I got some weird plant powers."Evan said, tyring to change the subject before Sly got himself in trouble. "Uh, Dcotor. I think I know why they attacked."Jaqulynn said to Arsenic. "When Evan and I were fighting off the Conduits, they had made a barrier. I had to sneak around to attack them, and before I attacked I heard one of them say something about some guy named Derek McCormick."Jaqulynn said.
Geneviève immediately turned her head towards the side door of the room. She could hear loud food steps coming from behind it as if someone was going to smash through the door. Once the door slammed open she felt a small sense of relief when door slammed open to reveal a meaty general Geneviève met when arriving at the headquarters. But the general didn't seem so happy at the moment because he walked like a bull in a china shop. And just like Jaqulynn, Geneviève watched in total silence. She didn't didn't move to shake the generals hand or even introduce herself to man, since she wasn't really comfortable with him yet.
She stood back and watched while everyone introduced themselves, bit she did give Sly the 'don't even think about it', look when he looked like he was getting ready to do something foolish.

"Derek McCormick, they were here for him?" Arsenic responded, clearly surprised.
"Oh lord, I should've known he would have something to do with this." the General stated irritably. "I knew we should've just wasted that lowlife the moment we captured him!"
"Who's Derek McCormick?" Nick inquired. Dr. Arsenic let out a sigh.
"I was planning on tell you all after a good nights rest, but I guess now's as a good a time as any, General Patterson, do you have the files I requested?" He asked.
"Of course, it's all right here." Patterson replied, handing Arsenic a folder labeled "Classified".
"Alright, follow me everyone." Arsenic instructed leading the group out of the lab. They walked through the hallways until they made it to what seemed to be a debriefing room, a large table stretching from the front and back of the room and a white board at the very front, as well as a podium. "Everyone, take a seat." he said, which everyone obliged. "As you've probably guessed, I didn't exactly bring you here to work in the labs. While much of our resources are dedicated to finding a cure for the Plague, our "true" primary function is to combat Hostile Conduits, as well as the Beast. So far our efforts have been highly inefficient, sure we can drive Conduits back, even capture a number of them, but at the cost of a lot of lives on our end, so I figured it was time that we fought fire with fire." He began. He paused for a moment flipping through the file he was given. "That's where you all come in, you are all Non-Hostile Conduits capable of absorbing Blast Cores, which means you can get very strong, very quickly, absorb enough, and you may be able to put a stop to all of this conflict. With that said, I think it's time you learned exactly who the enemy is." He pulled out a picture of the one and only Cole MacGrath and hung it on the white board for all to see. "This, is Cole MacGrath, the Demon of Empire City, and now, the Beast. A few months ago his Conduit Gene was activated by the Ray Sphere Blast that occurred in Empire City, he was an exceptionally powerful Conduit, and used his powers to terrorize Empire City while it was under Quarantine. After the "Empire Event", which was caused by the Original Beast, he moved on to New Marais, and while he freed the city from the Militia, all it really was was one tyrant overthrowing another, and when the Beast finally came, he somehow took its powers and continued its destructive rampage. He is currently the most powerful Conduit in existence... and those that join his cause worship him like a god." He paused for a moment, letting the information sink in.

Nick was silent, staring at the picture of the monster that killed all of those people, that caused so much destruction. He wanted nothing more than to take him down, but... if he was as powerful as Arsenic made him out to be, was there even any hope for them? Sure they were strong, and with Blast Cores they would get even stronger, but Cole was practically a god, the most powerful Conduit ever, just how were they supposed to defeat that?
Sly and the general exchanged glares. The daggers in their eyes clashed, Sylvester backed away slowly and picked up his bat "not today old man"Sly lowered his bat to his side, in line with his body.
He followed Arsenic, the place was pretty wrecked, he's surprised they backed away so soon "hey doc, isn't it ironic? You guys are working in a place that's, now, as dirty as the cells" Arsenic gave him a look that sarcastically said haha, you should be a comedian but Sly was just being Sly.
Sly listened intently, taking in all the information. When Arsenic was done Sly looked at the others, some were second guessing themselves and Nick looked, slightly afraid. Sly shot a shard of ice which pierced the picture right through Cole's head. Sylvester was angry "you think he's a demon... You wait till you see what I'll do, I'll show him demon, I'll show him real hell" his anger was obviously personal "juice me up, I swear I'll bring this basterd down, I'll freeze his insides and let him choke..." his upper lip twitched as he shot another 2 ice shards at the picture.
He glanced at Jaqulynn, that split second was long enough to convey to her what he was thinking. It was the look of an angry man, she would be wise to be weary, Sly would be the first to kill her if she ever did anything that screamed suspicions.

Jaqulynn shot a glare back at Sly. All she did was stumble on Nick and ask a few questions. "Can't wait for Cole to hand you your ass when you under estimate him."Jaqulynn thought, glancing back at the white board.
Geneviève followed the group as instructed to the new room where Dr. Arensic was going to discuss some new information to the team. Once she entered the room she noticed that it looked a little underused. But she abided to the Doctors oders and took a seat at the nearest chair. She pulled open a chair and sat down quietly.
Geneviève waited for the Doctor to speak, but Sly had a few words of his own beofre the meeting was about to start. Geneviève gave a small smile at Sly for his little joke about how rundown the room was. "That was not funny, honey. That was completely immature considering I had to sit in a tinny tiny room just as filthy as this and you didn't crack a ass joke then." Geneviève stated, it was obviois that she didn't find anything comical about Sly's comment.
Geneviève's smile faded into annoyance as she rolled her eyes and turned her head to the doctor. Geneviève placed her fingers on her desk and began to tap them and waited for the doctor to speak.
Geneviève listened to the doctor with a blank expression on her face, listening. Geneviève sinked in all the new information that was being given in her head. This powerful ememy she thought....the beast. Was he really all that powerful? Geneviève pondered about for a moment making her loose focus aboit everything else that's being said. ...If this is true then defeating him will be easy, right? No...that sounds to simple...maybe if Geneviève's thoughts we interupted when Sly suddenly started shouting in anger.
Geneviève glared at Sly and began to tap her fingers even faster. His shouting was getting a little annoying and the way he was glaring at Jaqulnn with such distrust. Geneviève shot up from her seat, "how the hell are you kill a demon when you can't control yourself! How are we going to defeat someone when we have you cracking jokes and glaring at others. How about you think before you go shooting things like a damn fool!" Geneviève glanced at everyone,"we'll all get our asses handed to us if we can't respect eachother and start jumping in a pool of blood when trouble starts!....mi dispiace." She finished, slowly sitting back in her chair. Genevieve might of not meant what she siad, but a booming voice full of arrogance always seemed set her off.

"I'm with her. If any of us are going to even think about challenging Cole than were gonna have to work together."Evan said. "And that you two are going to have to get over yourselves and put ever problems you've got behind you."Evan added.
"I'm not easily trusting. I only trust the guys who saved my life, you got a problem with the way I behave?" he wasn't shouting and he wasn't going to raise his voice unless he had a reason to "I ain't willing to trust for no reason, so you better give a me a good--" Sly stopped mid sentence as he felt blood trickle from his nose. He lost his balance and began to stumble.
D-Daddy, where are you??...
Sly reached for the closest thing to hold onto, his vision blurred.
Daddy I'm scared... Help
He was able to catch the edge of a table but his hand slipped causing him to fall flat.
DADDY HELP, I DONT WANT TO GO, DADDY!
Sly started to foam from his mouth and his body shook violently. He was having a fit right there where he landed
GET YOUR HANDS OFF HER YOU BASTARDS! ADRIANA!, I WILL FIND YOU BABY, I WILL FIND YOU!

"It's one thing to not automatically trust someone, it's something else to threaten them because they asked a few quest- Oh Christ!"Jaqulynn said, before Sly began to have his fit. "What the hell?!"Evan said, quickly getting up and trying to keep Sly from falling to the ground. "I'll go get a doctor to get a gurney in here."Jaqulynn said, before quickly excusing herself.
Geneviève stared down at the table feeling slightly guilty for raising her voice in the middle of the meeting. Then she looked back up at Sly when he began to speak once more. She listened to his rebel, it sounded like a bunch of bull, but she attempted to keep her cool as well. Geneviève stood up from her seat and curled another sarcastic smile on her face. "If you can't work with others because the haven't done anything for you. Then leav--" Geneviève paused. "..." what just happened?
Geneviève stared down with the same expression on her face as Sly suddenly dropped the floor having a fit.
Geneviève stared down with the same expression on her face as Sly suddenly dropped the floor having a fit.
"Holy crap, Sly, Sly what's wrong!?" Nick exclaimed as he walked over to the man, helping Evan keep him on his toes. Sly was unresponsive, he didn't even seem to notice they were there anymore, he just mumbled to himself slightly and twitched every other second.
"What the hell, what's wrong with him, is that some sort of Conduit thing?" the General inquired, taking a step back from the commotion.
"What the hell, what's wrong with him, is that some sort of Conduit thing?" the General inquired, taking a step back from the commotion.
A doctor came running into the room with nurses on his heels rolling a gurney towards Sly. Nick and Even helped Sly onto it, the doctor rolled him over to his side "it seems like what happened here caused something to click in his mind, it's what's causing the fit" Sly's eye rolled into the back of his head. there was not much the doctor could do except stopping Sly from choking on his own spit, the equipment around HQ was trashed especially the medical department.
Eventually Sly stopped shaking, his eyes returned to normal and his breathing became natural once more. A nurse cleaned up his mouth and put a half torn blanket over him, not that it did much.
This was the first breakout he ever had, hopefully, it would be his last. In his state of unconsciousness, Sly said something "C-cole... Don't take her... She, she-she's the only thing... I have left"

"Cole... he said Cole right?" the General inquired. "You think he could be talking about MacGrath?"
"Well, considering we were just talking about him, I would say so." Dr. Arsenic replied. He walked over to the unconscious man and looked back at the skewered photo of the Beast. "I guess this fight was more personal than Sly had led on, maybe even more personal than you Nick." He suggested, making his own examination of the man. "Sly, Sly can you hear me?" No answer, he was unconscious but breathing normally, he didn't seem to be any danger. "I think he'll be fine, we should take him to the infirmary for the night, for observation just in case." He walked back over to the podium and collected the file.
"If he's up for it the morning, we'll continue your briefing, but for now, I say we call it day, come, I'll show you all to your quarters." Arsenic said.

Doctors and nurses began to swarm around the now, unconscious Sly. They help'd him onto the gurney and began to wipe all the foam and blood from his face. Geneviève didn't rush to Sly's aid, mainly because she didn't know what to do in a situation like this and because they're was nothing she could actually do. So Geneviève stood out the way while the medical doctors tried to help Sly.
After receiving the news from the doctor and getting a announcement from the doctor to call it a night. Geneviève followed the Doctor, along with the doctor to everyones new living quarters. Well, at least that was what Geneviève was thinking. A new sleeping place was better than an old cell, but Geneviève wasn't concerned about where she was going to sleep at the moment.
