Nick was relieved to hear that Sly would be ok, but was shocked to hear about Arsenic's assumption. He remembered the day it all happened, how he just broke down, how Jaqulynn had approached him, and how Sly had taken the hint and tried to get her to back off. He just... he never even considered that Sly had his own demons to deal with, and he had been giving him a pretty hard time about his attitude, and now... he didn't even know what to think. As the doctors hauled Sly away, he and the rest of the group followed Arsenic to, wherever he was taking them. Nick was brought out of his thoughts when he noticed Genevieve walking next to him, she seemed really distraught by the matter, completely understandable.
"Hey," He said to her, gaining her attention. "Don't worry, Sly's gonna be fine, he's lived through worse, trust me." Nick said, hoping to comfort the girl.

Geneviève continued to follow behind the group, still lost in thought from what just happened earlier. Was I too harsh to him? She wondered, maybe I shouldn't of told him off like that. I AM apart of this team too so I should lern to be more controling of my emotions as well. Geneviève thought as she started fall behind in the group, Geneviève was so puzzled at the moment. But when she slowed down Geneviève, could hear footsteps walking beside her. It was Nick trying to give her comfort from what just happened earlier. Geneviève give eye contact to the man while he spoke nor did she respond to his when Nick was only trying to help. Geneviève had something to say, but didn't know how to say it, everything seemed so puzzling. So she stared at the floor and began to speed up and walk ahead of Nick not saying a single wor to him.
"Don't go..." Sly tossed and turned that night, reliving certain memories "n-no let him go...you already... Took her" the torn blanket clung to his naked torso from the sweat he built up "... Please don't die... I need you..." his breathing had gotten deeper and he began to toss and turn more aggressively.
"DAAD!" Sylvester yelled, he shot up from his sleep, his eyes wide open as he gasped for air, looking around with beads of sweat rolling down his forehead. Doctors ran to him thinking he was in danger, when they reached him they looked between each other. One doctor handed him glass of water which Sly left no time to chug down, the Doctor looked at him and smiled to ease him but Sly stared at her with a blank look. She left him to it, he obviously needed to be alone.
He just stared into nothingness, the memories he clung onto for strength have caused him so much grief but, why now have they gotten stronger?. A tear ran down his cheek, it crept slowly across his jawline and fell upon the surface of the blanket, soaking into it. All Sly did was stare... The rage... The grief... The sadness all built up inside him until he finally let them out... "Ria... Oh god, Ria... I'm sorry, I couldn't help you... I couldn't help dad..." tears streamed from his eyes as he sobbed quietly, he clenched his fists "I'm so... So... sorry... I wish I could've stopped them" he was sobing to himself, quietly, hoping no one could hear his soft sob... He didn't want them to see him like this...
Sly held the diamond ring necklace that hung loosely from his neck tightly in his right hand, it was a woman's engagement ring. As he let it go The light of the rising sun split into a rainbow through the crystal clear diamond and shun on the blanket. He looked down at the array of colours, a small smile gracing his lips. The tears dried on his face "you always said her personality was like a rainbow" he whispered

Nick's eyes slowly opened as the light from the morning sun entered the room and fell on his face. He sat up on his bed, taking a look at his surroundings, "Hotel Syndrome" he called it, when one wakes up in an unfamiliar room and it takes a moment to remember exactly why you were there. It wasn't anything special, it was just a plain, square room, with only two beds and a desk in the corner, just big enough not to be suffocating. The CCD HQ didn't have very many spare rooms so the group ended up having to double up for convenience, he bunked with Evan, while Genevieve ended up sharing a room with Jaqulynn, he had a bad feeling about that right off the bat. He looked over at Evan, still sound a sleep in his bed, he let out a yawn and stretched, silently hopping out of his bed to get ready for the day. He put on his clothes, still tattered and dirty from the Blast, and quietly exited the room, not wanting to wake up Evan. He went straight to the infirmary to check on Sly, or at least he would have if he didn't get lost and have to ask for directions from the other scientists, but he eventually made it. He knocked softly on the door before opening it.
"Sly, you in here?" he asked, peaking his head through the doorway. He saw the Conduit sitting up on his bed, fiddling with his necklace before taking notice of him. "Hey man, how you feeling?" He said with genuine concern.

Like Nick, Jaqulynn woke up before Genevieve did, though for different reasons. She had found a bathroom and was standing bent over the toilet, trying to keep herself from puking. She'd been keeping a secret from the others, mostly out of fear, and decided if anyone asked she'd just say that it was a side effect of her powers, after all the sounds of her powers activating alone nearly made her sick most times she'd used them.
Soon Evan woke up. Unlike most mornings, he was surprisingly energetic, though this was most likely from his powers which he now determined were plant based. He noticed Nick was gone, and figured he was checking on Sly. Eventually Evan decided to go find Arsenic, maybe get a little info early.

As day turned to night, Geneviève found herself having a trouble falling asleep like everyone else. She laid on her bed in silence, tossing a few times in the bed. "..." Geneviève's stared at the wall with her eyes. It was a child that was afraid to close their eyes so they kept they're eyes open to keel the monster's away. Geneviève slept with her eyes open and rocked herself the entire night, she was too close her eyes.
The next morning Geneviève awoke from her long night of stress. She sat up from her bed, raised her arms and let out a yawn. After that Geneviève looking over at Jaqulnn's bed bed o see if she was still alseep. But it seemed like Jaqulynn already beaten her. The early bird always catches the worm.
Well, Geneviève wasn't a early bird nor a morning person. But Geneviève forced herself from bed and decided to wash her face before getting ready for the next day. She found her way to the bathroom, but it was already occupied by Jaqulnn whk was already doing something in the bathroom. Geneviève knocked on the door, assuming someone was already in there. "Excuse me?" She asked loud enough to hear through the door.

Sly tried to wipe the tears from his eyes, he stood up out of bed and cleared his throat. Sylvester looked around for his shirt, he spotted it lying on the foot of his bed. He avoided all eye contact "so, are we all getting ready for the op? Did Arsenic say where to first?" he continued to avoid eye contact, ashamed of breaking down yesterday though he would never admit it.
Sly snaked his arms into his dirty torn shirt then pulled it over his head. He picked up his bat and realised there was nothing else to do, how was he to avoid the topic of he had nothing to pretend with that he didn't want to talk about it. He just looked at the floor "shall we go?" he apreciated the concern, but he didn't feel like he really deserved it... He had known hardship all his life... He wa used to it.

"What?"Jaqulynn asked when she heard Genevieve. "If you're needing yo use the bathroom, I'd suggest finding a different one. I... I think I'm gonna be in here for a while."Jaqulynn said. She heaved and, despite her efforts, vomited into the toilet.
Geneviève took a few steps from the door. She could hear Jaqulnn vomiting from behind the door. Geneviève felt worried, the team really didn't another person getting sick and hurling on the job. Geneviève decided to go to the infirmary to see if they're were any medicines the doctors could give for puking. Geneviève left the bedroom to go get medicine from th infirmary.
It wasn't so hard finding the infirmary since she remembered it's location from beofre. Once she arrived to the infirmary Geneviève noticed that most of the doctors were occupied with helping injured soldiers from the attack from yesterday. "Move!" Ordered one of the doctors to Genevieve as a group kf njrses rushed a injured soldier to a nearby room. "S-sorry!" Geneviève said, jumping out of the way and letting the nurses and doctor through.
Geneviève wandered the infirmary in search of medicine for her comrade. Geneviève made sure to stay out the way of incoming doctors while walking in the infirmary. But she quickly gave up once she realized that she had no idea where the medicine was to begin with. Leaning up against the wall, Geneviève let out a small disapointed sigh. "What are you doing Geneviève? " She asked herself.
Seeing no point of staying Geneviève left the infirmary. She started walking in thee direction where Dr. Arensic and the others were going to meet today. She jist hoped Jaqulynn was sick or anything.

Nick was silent, Sly was obviously avoiding the subject, and he couldn't really blame him, he felt the same way when he found out about Sarah, it was a terrible feeling, you just want to push it in the back of your mind and tell yourself it never really happened, yeah, he understood perfectly. Sly walked passed him and out the doorway, Nick didn't really know what to say to him, but he felt like he needed to say something.
"Sly..." he began, gaining the man's attention. He turned around and gave him a look of sincerity and determination. "Cole is going to pay for everything he's done... everything, I promise you that." He said before walking passed Sly, leading him to where Arsenic said he would be in the morning.

Sly was silent, he didn't know how to respond to that. They wouldn't understand if he tried to explain. He walked past Nick into the room but stopped in front of him "he's not my mission" he looked at Nick from the corner of his eyes, the irises in his eyes turned a faint blue and glistened like ice "I'm gunna strip him from everything he has, kill all the conduits in his army... Then I'm skin him" Sly's anger was at peak but he needed to keep it in, save it, for when he absolutely needs it. He entered the room with his eyes fixed on the floor, he avoided the looks of the others, they wouldn't understand him, neither will they try to.
After several minutes, the nauseous feeling Jaqulynn had went away. Jaqulynn waited in the rest room a few minutes more, before she left. She roamed the building for a while until she came across the room Arsenic had told them to meet in. "You look terrible."Evan said. "Tell me about it."Jaqulynn groaned, holding her head in her hands. "Think you should go down to the infirmary?"Evan asked. Jaqulynn shook her head. "It's a side effect of my powers."Jaqulynn said.
While Geneviève was making her way to the room Dr. Arensic ordered the group to report to for the day. Geneviève had her eyes pointed at the floor somewhat like Sly was doing now. But Geneviève wasn't upset about anything. Geneviève was thinking about something she noticed a lot going on in the headquarters lately.I don't know if I'm late on seeing this, but everyone is so melancholy and stressed. Geneviève motioned her head to the frantic doctors and busy scientists running up and down the hallway from where she was walking.Everyone is so suken with all their problems and troubles. It's like everyone forgot how to smile. May if-- Geneviève stopped in the middle of her train of thought when she bumped her head into a wall at the end of the hallway. "Ow..." Geneviève mumbled rubbing her head.
Geneviève shook off the small headache in her head. I need tk pay attention to where I'm walking when I'm thinking, more Geneviève then motioned her head to the nearby meeting room that was just down the hall. She was already late, she knew everyone was probably was waiting for her to hurry up. But Geneviève started having second thoughts on going or not.
Geneviève turned her head to the room and back. Go to a meeting or make a plan to make everyone smile? Geneviève had to make a decision, she motioned her body in the opposite direction of the room and began to walk away. "This is for the good for everyone, so I won't get intk any big trouble for this, right? Oh, what the hell." Geneviève made her decision. Geneviève could feel her heart racing as her feet started picking up the pace and she started running down the hallway with a grin on her face. Like a crazy happy smiling conduit.

Dr. Arsenic was preparing the files in his podium for the continuation of their meeting when Sly and Nick entered the room. "Well, good to see you up and about Sly, I'll admit I half expected you to stay in bed for the whole day after what happened yesterday." He said, only sparing them a short glance before moving his attention back to the files. Evan was already in the room and soon after Jaqulynn came in as well.
"Alright, it seems we are just one conduit short." he said, noticing Genevieve's absence. "I suppose we could wait a little longer, I'd rather tell everyone this all at once." He said, double checking his preparations.

"Want me to go get her?"Evan asked. "Ugh... goodie it's coming back."Jaqulynn grumbled. "Could I have a trashcan by chance?"Jaqulynn asked, feeling her nausea beginning to come back.
Nick quickly passed the trash can to Jaqulynn and watched in disgust as she began to vomit into it. "Uh, yeah, I'll go look too, who knows where that girl could be in this big place." He stated.
Running through the hallway like an excited child Genevève had an idea that she thought would make people smile. She turned her head frantically looking for a great place that she would know people would gather. Where to go? WHere to do it? Geneviève thought for a moment until the perfect place popped into her head. "I got it! I'll sing there!" She declared, running through the hallway once more. Geneviève ran so fast with an excited look on her face, so excited she almost bumped into a group of scientists carrying stacks of paper. "Watch it!" Said an scientist shaking his fist after almost bumping into Geneviève. "Sorry!"
Once Geneviève made it to her destination Geneviève motioned her way to the front desk of the room and climbed on top of it. Once on top of the desk a nurse suddenly appeared telling her to get down, "ma'am you're not supposed to be here, it's fine I'll only be a minute!" Geneviève ignored the nurses pleads and looked around the open room with injured conduits and soldiers. Was she really going to do her plan...in an infirmary? Genevieve could see all the gloomy and pained faces in the small rooms and let out a relaxed sigh.
Geneviève placed both her hands in a ball and placed on her chest. She closed her eyes and out from her lips came powerful singing voice. Was this major plan really going to bring smiles to these injured faces. When Geneviève began to sing it ended up a little something like:
Right at the end of her sentence, Genevieve was interrupted by a loud booking sound of footsteps coming from the hallway. "Geneviève you know this ain't no musical where you can sing anywhere you want!" Said the general stepping into the room with two soldiers behind him. Genevève sat down on the desk and crossed her legs. She didn't plan on moving. "Didn't you hear me G-E-T space D-O-W-N, now!" The general demanded,"F-blank-blank-K Y-O-U, jumbo! Now go back to guarding the mall, can't you see you're disturbing the peace~" Geneviève teased with a smile still on her face.

This:
"I'm that kind of gal that likes a big delicious mint cake.
But I don't mind eating water and bread when I can.
Everyday I hope to catch a fabulous break, but my wish don't always take to my plan.
Just when I was thinking how this place had me beat.
Some how I got aces to spare.
Suddenly I feel like I'm ten million feet in the air.
Took a train from no where with nothing but my sack and soon I'll be back home to stay
Looking at me glowing 'cause I know everything will be okay
Look at me I'm standing at the top of the pile everything may not be landing in place.
Golly, it's grand and I can't get this smile off my face!
Maybe this adventure has been this one lucky streak that might last be a week or a day!
Still I keep knowing that everything will be okay---"
Hold it right they're Ms. Greco!

Evan headed out of the room, heading down the hall to find Genevieve. "So where do you think she'd be?"Evan asked Nick.
"I'm not sure, honestly that girl's a bit of a mystery to me." Nick admitted as they two walked down the hall. "Hmm... wait, I think I know how we can find her!" He stated after a moment of thinking. He then closed his eyes and concentrated, the various sounds all around him amplifying allowing him to hear them all clear as day. He focused in on people's voices, there were many he didn't recognize, scientists, doctors, soldiers, he could even pick up some of the Hostiles cursing the guards. Eventually, he picked up on the familiar voice of Genevieve, singing no less, in the direction where he remembered the master infirmary to be. "I can hear her, she's in the infirmary, come on." He said to Evan. The two made their way to the infirmary, passing many staff and soldiers on the way; they made it to their destination just in time to see the general facing off against Genevieve.
"I swear you Conduits are all the same, think you can do whatever you want just because you have some fancy powers, well not on my watch missy!" He scolded, much to the girl's annoyance.
"Uh, is there a problem here?" Nick inquired, gaining the general's attention.
"You bet there's a problem, your friend there just waltzed right in here and started singing, standing on one of the medical tables no less, that can't be sanitary." the general explained. Nick was silent for a moment, as if to wait for the general to realize the ridiculousness of the situation, but it seemed like he would have to spell it out for him.
"...you brought in a small army of armed guards... for singing..."
"Look, I know its not that big of a deal, its really just an issue of politeness if anything, but if I learned one thing in these passed few months, it's that you can't be too careful around Conduits." The general defended himself. Nick couldn't help but sigh, this man really didn't trust Conduits, not the best man to be working with if you were one. However, he let the matter drop and turned his attention to Genevieve.
"Hey Genevieve, we're about to start the meeting and we're kind of waiting on you. Think you could come with us now?" He asked as politely as possible.

Intrigued, Sly followed Nick and Evan. Maybe she needed his help. Maybe he could cause some feel good mayhem too. He saw the general telling off his team and approached the man calmly. He grabbed his arm and pulled him away from Nick, Evan and Genevieve "I swear you Normals are all idiots, does it hurt you to smile?" Sly tee'd off with the General "you piss me off do you know that? She's been trapped in a cell because she's a conduit on your orders. To shit brains like you, all of us are the same right? Then you must be the same as that doctor over there" Sly pointed at a female doctor who tended to a conduit who was hurt, she smiled and chatted to him. Sylvester glanced at her then looked back at the General snapping the general back to him "you must be the same right? WRONG, she has a heart, just like every other person, conduits and normals alike, we're all people... If you threaten my team again, I'll show you what a true monster can do" Sly pressed his index finger against the General's chest "and you'll need more than a handful of soldiers to take me down, I chose not to be nice, people are dying everyday by the hands of other NORMAL people" Sly backed off "conduits are normally people, we're just more evolved. Don't threaten my team for petty reasons, I'll have your tongue using a scalpel and a tools tray" he turned towards the group and couldn't help but smile, the General's jaw was almost about to hit the floor. The big guy couldn't say anything, he just watched Sly leave. "let's go guys, we have a meeting" Sly's wide cheeky smile was long over due, he hadn't smiled like that in years, it probably won't happen for a long time either. Sly waved them towards the corridor to get out of here. He followed closely behind.
