Almost five hundred years ago a dark spirit only Known as the Demon cast the mortals of the world into animals. If you were brave, you would become a lion or a bear, but if you were a lazy slob you would be a sloth or even a pig. Busy bodies became rabbits and common thieves became cats. Animals themselves stayed as they were but it has made life very difficult for the people of Loqwood.
Icias was a fisher in a little cold northern town called Avalanche Town. His ancestor must have been a great man in the past, but Icias was not really anything special himself. But one day the Demon decided to play a little practical joke on the little town he lived in. Wouldn't it be funny if an Avalanche hit Avalanche Town? And just like that Icias was alone in the world, wandering without a home to return to.
((OOC: If you join this RP you can play as any animal character, no mythical beasts though. Just be weary of that, but other then that, this RP should have a tragic fairy tale-esq feel, so have fun with it.))

It had been a week since pig left the farm and he never felt more free. He ran around happily and ate edible roots; sniffing carefully before he ate the roots just incase they were poisonous. On his farm all he ate was generic foods like bread and carrots so now that he was out in the wild he was trying all sorts of exotic food. Yet despite the excitement of exploring a new area deep down pig was starting to feel lonely, he hadn't spoken to anyone for days. This was a part of the journey pig tried to ignore.
After walking a few miles he stopped to take a break and sit under a random tree.
After walking a few miles he stopped to take a break and sit under a random tree.
"Hello pig," the Demon said creeping out of the wood. His dark face showed nothing but swirling shadows and two golden eyes. His golden eyes looked right threw the pigs soul, "you may feel free from your farm but as long as you are here in Loqwood you will never truly be free."
The Demon became as smoke and faded away and reappeared behind the swine. "I can offer you the chance to be a human again, and let you leave the Loqwood. Exploring the entire world and not just free to roam, in the confines of the maze like forest..."
After a moment of silence the Demon stood up to its lanky self. "But if course I want something in return..."

When pig first saw the demon he was scared and didn't say much but when he heard him mention 'turning him into a human again' he giggled. "Me human again? What are you talking about I was never human. I was born a pig." Replied pig. Just because the humans had been turned into animals didn't mean the animals who were animals their whole life all instantly went extinct.
Pig stood up and studied the demon. "What are you? I have never seen a creature like you before." He asked. Since pig had been cooped up so long he was a little naïve. He had never encountered a demon before or any mythical creature.

"What am I?" The Demon asked, he smiled with teeth of white, sharpened to a point. Closing his lips he responded almost in s chuckle, "I am sorry pig, I assumed your ansestors had been human," The shadowy creature turned away from the pig, "as for who I am," he turned back, "I am just a lonely traveler looking for friends."
The corruption dripped out of his mouth and flowed into the pigs ears with every passing word. "I need a friend like me, big, strong, and hopefully furry." Collecting a sacrafic for his next act of dark magic had never been this easy. "Little pig, if you can find me a lion, or a bear... Perhaps a tiger or a large wolf, then I will gift you a single wish."
As evil as the Demon was, a deal with him was not something his twisted magic would allow him to break. "Do we have an accord?" The creature stuck out his hand, "find me a large friend before the sun sets three days from now, and you will have your wish!"

Pig thought about the deal. Finding a large animal like a bear or a lion when your a pig? While is sounded it easy it also sounded a little dangerous. Pig lifted one front leg ignoring the fact that the demon kind of smelled dangerous, "It's a deal." he said firmly. When the Demon mentioned being a 'lonely traveler' he felt empathy for him becuase pig was starting to feel like a lonely traveler.
A black mark was singed onto the arm of the pig before the simbol vanished. "Remember sun down on the third day, to complete the accord whisper my name into the wind three times, Creed come forth, Creed come forth, Creed come forth, and I will appear." The Demon released the pigs arm and stood up straight, he decided not to relay the fact that if the Pig did not bring him his prize by the end of three days the Demon could steal the pigs shadow, but that was for another day.
Someone who has had their shadow taken is unable to cast one. Meaning that if they step into direct or reflected sunlight they turn to ash. The original race of Vampires started when a small town made a deal with the Demon and couldn't follow threw. Blood magic in exchange for their shadows, a grave mistake that turned out to be.
"I will see you in three days pig," the Demon smiled as he began to vanish, smoking away into the shadows, "may you travel swiftly and find good fortune."

It was at this time that Icias the bear had entered Alkalai Town, just a few miles down the gravel road. He was intently looking for someone. "Have you seen him?" The towns folk were so confused the the bear searched on. Eventually he grew tired and rented a pint and a room at the in with his last Coined Silvers, "so this is it, this looks like where my searching ends..."
After the Demon left pig got up and continued his journey except this time he went faster. Before the deal pig was just aimlessly wandering around but now he had a task, a mission, something to do and there was a time limit. He had no time to stop and smell the roses. Pig kept on running until he arrived at Alkalai Town. "Perfect." Thought pig, "a town, there is bound to be a big animal somewhere here." From there pig ran around the town searching high and low for a large animal.
A dark being, a mountain falling, screams, an evil laugh, a human with blonde hair walking away, white fur falling, drips of red, and a pink shadow out shining the black darkness. These things had all been a part of Icias's dream, retelling the end for him or the demon, or something big. He was very confused by it but he knew if he found a creature of pink like the one in his dream the events would begin to unfold, and he could begin to understand. "Has anyone seen a flamingo?" Icias asked, he turned a corner and bumped into a frog, the man croaked and went along with his or her day. It was pretty hard to depict genders with frogs. "I need to find this pink shadow before it is too late," he mumbled under his breath as he refastened his bandana around his neck. He had spent the last of his money on food and housing the night before so he would most likely head for the next town by noon, so he wanted to search the entire town for this magical flamingo before the morning sun grew to old. "Pig?" Icias approached the next figure he could find, "Pig I'm looking for a creature of pink, a flamingo?" He didn't wait for the pig to respond, "a pink flamingo, what am i saying all flamingos are pink." Pausing he took a step back, "aren't they?"
"Your looking for pink creature?" He asked with a giggle. "Your looking at one right now, I am pink but I'm not a flamingo." he continued pointing at himself, "Unless the pink creature has to be a flamingo I might be one your looking for, and you might." Pig stopped and suddenly remembered his own quest. At that moment he began to look more closely at Icias. "You might be what I'm looking for too." he said in shock. He had not expected to complete his quest this fast, he thought is would take at least four days. "Guess luck in on my side." he thought to himself.
"Uh, Would mind me summoning a demon and handing you over to that demon?" he asked awkwardly to be polite. "I kind of promised to give a demon a large animal so they won't be lonely."

Near by a Komodo dragon over heard the conversation. It shook its head.
Icias examined the pig until the pig spoke of summoning a demon! "A demon?" He was rather scared, "you mean the Demon who cast us all into animals? Why would you summon him??" The bear backed away slowly, "why would you summon him???" He took a few steps back, the pig was pink but Icias had been fairly sure the shadow was bigger then a small little runt like this? One spouting nonsense of demons no less. As he backed away his heel pressed down in a scaley tail of some sort. "Oh I'm Sorr..." The Bears feet got tangled and he fell on the creature by accident.
The komodo dragon let out a loud his when his tail was stepped on, and then when the bear fell onto him. He growled, managing to push the bear off, and backing away a few feet. "Watch where you're going bear."He hissed.
Pig rubbed the floor with a leg, "Wait the demon I was talking to turned was the one who turned all humans into animals." he mused. At this moment he didn't know if he should dislike the demon or like him. Back at his farm he and his friends actually liked the spell because it was the reason they could communicate with humans and be treated like equals but, when he saw the bear's reaction he began to try to look at the situation through the humans perspective. Imagine suddenly having your whole wiped out, and being forced to quickly adapt to the life of a whole other race. It sounded quite difficult when he really thought about it. "Sure so what if this is the demon who turned all humans, that was a long time ago. What if they changed?" pig suggested naïvely. "After all the Demon did promise me one wish if I brought them a large animal in three days. That does sound pretty nice." Pig turned and looked at the Komodo dragon to see what he thought about it, hoping he might agree.
"For your own personal safety I would recodmend avoiding creatures such as demons. They don't change, they're evil beings for their entire existance."The Komodo dragon said in its monotone voice.
The bear stood up, "pig, are you saying you made a deal with the Demon?" He knew people who had made deals with the demon to be human again or to find lost love, they all ended the same. "Your going to turn to ash in the sun light, if you don't find your target, you will die pig..." The bear looked at the lizard, "names Icias, good to meet ya pal, sorry I sat on you." Turning back to the pig Icias continued, "but yeah, you're pretty much doomed pig."
"Well if you both don't think I shouldn't summon the Demon then I won't." he said "but that would mean I would have to cancel the deal with the Demon and I'm not sure how they'll react." said with a bit of worry in his voice. "What do you guys think I should do?" pig asked Icias and Xeres. "Do you want me to find another large animal or accept my fate and burn in the sun?"
"I don't care what you do."The komodo dragon responded turning to leave.
"Okay, then I will continue my journey until I find another large animal." pig says "Good-bye." he waves good bye to Xeres and Icias and walks away, determined to complete his quest so he won't have to burn in the sun. For the sake of the quest pig is willing to walk miles and miles he was did not want to turn to dust right whne he just tasted freedom. As for the demon he still felt like needed to help them despite how obvious it was the Demon was completely corrupt.
