Some already know that I've had a really bad year, and was kind of struggling while I was living my last year in Japan. The last month has been a train wreck, having to get all my crap together so I could move back to MN-USA.

Well, it suddenly got a bit nicer when my cousin posted a picture of a tiny little fur ball on Facebook. They found her in a barn, hiding under a hay bale with a litter of other kittens who didn't survive the cold snap. My cousin thinks that the wolves might have gotten the feral mother. Anyway, they saved this one calico kitten, who needed to be on a bottle cause she was too tiny to eat soft food. Anyway, they posted on Facebook looking for a home for her. My sister and I decided her forever home should be with me.

So, December 16th, when I got back to the states. My mom and sister met me at the airport with this little butthead.








I decided to name her Mochi. The name is kind of symbolic. Mochi is a Japanese sweet made out of rice and on the new year they make Kinako mochi for luck. I figure, this year has been so awful, that maybe she will bring good luck for the next one

She's really lucky she's cute lol. She ate a burger off the stove the other night. I thought mom was going to punt her into a snow bank lol.
