Although, why would I leave? I love this place!
Inspired by Sanne's post, I thought I'd do the same.
Looking at my original introduction, I see it's been almost a year since I became active in the community. Also looking at that thread, I joined the site back in alpha and I believe I'm the 9th person to sign up. Was the site even open to the public back then, Kim?
The RPR has changed a great deal since I first saw it, from the recent redesign to countless new features. It's quite amazing to have seen that evolution take place.
As for myself, I've made many new friends here, became a moderator and have made an entire series of promotional videos for the site.
A Heroic Rescue
Epic Space Battles
Epic Space Battles Part 2
The Princess Needs a Sword
Commander Shepard Loves the RPR
Does anyone think I should make some more?
This year also marks the first time I created an entire costume from scratch, Commander Shepard from the Mass Effect games, as seen in the last video linked above. It's something I had been wanting to make for awhile but I wasn't sure how to go about it until this summer. I'm sure many of you remember me talking about in the chat.
This winter, I'm looking forward to playing The Old Republic, I know a few people here are also going to playing the same so it will be good to run into each other, unless we're on opposite sides of the war, then I make no promises
If anyone would like to know more, please ask away. I'll answer just about anything
EDIT: Oh, I also killed Jar Jar.

I'm also British and since I've been asked about my accent, here is a clip of myself reading the first page of a very well known nerdy book

Wow, my favorite resident Sith Lord has quite the history!
I think you should make more videos. They're very entertaining and enjoyable. And how come there's no love for Jar Jar??
Also, yes. Thank you for the accent. Nice choice of book!

Glad you liked the recording. The book was sitting right there, how could I not pick it?
I do not like Jar Jar

If you ever read a page from Artemis Fowl out loud, I think I'd swoon. It's my favorite series (I'm sorry, I love the classics of LOTR and HP and such, but I've read the Artemis Fowl series at least two times. And there's like seven or eight books), and I think hearing it in a British accent could make me fangirl.
While that would be fun, I don't actually have the book

No, I brought you in maybe two weeks before opening so you could tell me if it worked or not. That was well before anyone had the idea for accolades, too. We didn't even have forums. And there were like eight templates. And we walked everywhere, uphill, in the snow. AND WE LIKED IT.
Also, technically, although your ID is 9, you are the 8th user. Because two of the first accounts were me. One is my admin account, and the other is my test account that I regularly blow up and torture in search of bugs.

Don't stop. NEVER STOP.

With a few snowball fights along the way

I don't think I need more encouragement than that. And thankyou Celestina for the same. It's nice to know my work is appreciated and enjoyed

Well, yeah. This is the RPR, after all.

Oooh, how do we check out member number again? I know it used to be in the URL...
I don't think you can, 9 is an easy number to remember

So...does this mean If there was a way for us to check our member number, we could technically subtract it by 1 due to your dual account thing?

There are plenty of ways to find your member number. Perhaps the easiest is to visit your own profile, and hover over (or right click and then pick "copy url") the link to send yourself a message. Whatever the number at the end of that link is, is your ID number. Yours is 1302. Nikina, yours is 1342.
Oh, awesome! So I'm 23. Does that me a crinkly oldtimer? Can I yammer on about how it was in the good ol' days (despite the site growing exponentially better with time)?
