Emy Allison Naito (played anonymously)

Well hi.
(Alright, here we go)

Vincent awoke, the annoying sound of his alarm clock echoing throughout his room. He reached over to his desk and shut it off, letting out a big yawn and stretching his limbs to wake them up from their slumber. He took a look at his clock, 6:30 AM it read.

"Early bird gets the worm." he said to himself as he slid out of bed. The last day of summer vacation has come and gone and the new school year was about to begin, Vincent had moved back into the boarding school he went to the day before and today the classes officially started. He quickly went through his morning routine, brushed his teeth, got dressed in his uniform, and bit into a muffin that his mother had given him the day before for an easy breakfast. He checked his phone for any new messages, and wouldn't you know it, there was, a text from his mother, wishing him luck on his first day of school. "It still boggles my mind how I even get a signal out here." Vincent said. He walked over to his window and pulled the blinds open, revealing the bright, multicolored sky and the partial moon that still hung high.

"Yep, just another day at Magnus Academy." Truth be told, Vincent was actually a mage, a Storm Mage to be exact, and a junior at Magnus Academy, a boarding school that magical beings of all types attended, free and separate from the world at large, mostly because it was located in between dimensions. Vincent had been looking forward to returning, it was the only place where he didn't have to hide who he really was, he loved being a mage, and he loved any place that would let him be just that. He looked back at the clock, it now read 6:45. "Oh crap, better get to the opening ceremony." He quickly finished his muffin, grabbed his backpack and rushed out the door, making his way to the courtyard where the opening ceremony was to be held.

Emy woke up 1 hour before the ceremony. Waking up late wasnt her thing. When the new year's ceremony started, she was already there with all her stuff.

It didnt really seem like it at the first view but, she was a Frosted Human. But not completly, she was mixed with wolf blood too. While the director was making his speech, Emy looked at the sky and clouds. ''It's a pretty nice day..'' she muttered to herself.
Vincent listened as the Headmaster made his speech. It was the same as it was the last year and the year before that, the same exact spiel about the founder, Cornelius Magnus, a powerful mage who created the dimensional rift where the school now presided in, a place where people of the magical world could live and learn free from the prosecution of "normal" people. It was a good speech, he himself ate it up as a freshmen, but having heard it twice before he couldn't help but let his mind wander. He reached into his pocket and brought out his new class schedule, looking over it to see what his classes will be for the day. He did his best to memorize the room numbers and think about where they would be in the building, but he knew that as soon as the ceremony was over he would have completely forgotten where his next was supposed to be and have to check again, he did not have a mind for directions.

Finally the opening ceremony came to a close and the students were dismissed to their classes. Vincent stood from his seat and made his way to the main building, giving out casual greetings to his familiar classmates. As predicted he needed to remind himself where his first class was. He pulled out his schedule and navigated halls until he finally made it to his intended room. His first class was Magical History, not the most exciting subject in his book, but he wasn't horrible at it either. Once he entered the room he saw a chart posted at the front that showed everyone's assigned seats.

"Alright, let's see... third from the back, right next to the window, nice." He said as found himself on the chart. He quickly found his desk and sat down, waiting for class to begin.

Emy entered class, looked at her place and sat there. She was in the back at the second line. She opened her book and looked around in the class. She waited, like everyone, for class to begin. While waiting, she noticed a guy behind her. ''Another student.'' she thinked. Emy opened her notebook and started sketching stuff like swords and armors, while the others were talking with their friends and laughing. The girl putted her hood on. But she still had her uniform under her hoodie.
Eventually the bell rang, class had officially begun, and moments after the bell started chiming a tall figure with long blond hair walked through the door, closing it behind him. "Alright, settle down class, the bell has rung." The figure said, his voice revealing him to be male. He walked over to the corner of the room and took off his coat, placing it on a coat hanger. "Now, allow me to introduce myself." He took off he hat, revealing the long, pointed ears hidden beneath, this man was an Elf, an immortal who had probably been alive for centuries, the perfect person to teach the history of the world of magic. "My name is Professor Dievall, and I will be your instructor for Magical History this year. I have been with this school since its foundling, I've seen many students come and go, and I try my best to remember every single one. So, before we get started, why don't we make that a little easier for me and go around the room and introduce ourselves. You, tell me your name and something you feel I should know about you." He pointed to one of the students sitting in the front of the class. The student stood up, stated their name, and said some random, pointless fact about themselves that they obviously didn't put too much thought into. Vincent couldn't help but sigh, he hated these ice breaker activities, you go through all this trouble to introduce yourself to everyone just for half of them to forget about you by the end of the year, it was sort of pointless. The whole class, one by one, introduced themselves in the manor Dievall had describe, and eventually, they made it to Vincent. He stood up in his seat and cleared his throat, if anything just for dramatic effect, he knew exactly what he was going to say.

"Uh, hey there everyone, uh, I'm Vincent Magnus, and no, I have no relation to the founder of the school, nice to meet you all." He sat back down afterwards, he wanted to get that out of the way as soon as possible, it would be real pain to have to explain that to everyone who would certainly ask later on. The elf professor seemed somewhat amused with his answer, but nonetheless moved on.

"Alright, next up..."

Emy stood up when it was her turn. She removed her hood and started talking. ''I'm Emy Allison Naito.. and i like to draw..'' she said, sitting back when she was done. She waited for the other students to finish presenting theirselves.

When it was time to learn, she opened her history book at the right page. ''Open your book at page 3, class.'' The teacher said. Emy worked until class was over. She got up and walked out of the class like every other student. The girl walked to her next class; gym. ''Ugh.. why gym in the morning?'' she said to herself. She changed into gym clothes and walked into the gym class. Emy waited for teacher, still seeing people talk and laugh with their friends. She, suprisingly, saw the same guy that was behind her in history class.
Vincent changed into his gym clothes and walked into the crowded gymnasium. As he waited for the teacher he began to do some basic stretches. While a mages mind was by far his most valuable tool, physical fitness was very important in order to maintain mana and stamina, so he kept himself relatively in shape. Eventually, the instructor entered the gym, a large, green ogre wearing a tracksuit with the school logo on the back and left chest. He seemed overweight by human standards, but was actually of healthy size for an Ogre, and was undoubtedly strong and in shape as well. "Alright everyone, I am Coach Klurk, your gym instructor. Let's start off taking attendance, now when I call your name please say "here"." He read off a list of names on a clip board, Vincent raised his hand and said "here" once he called his name, he could already hear the other students whispering.

"Wow, I'm actually missing that ice breaker." Vincent muttered to himself. Attendance went by without a hitch, and so Klurk started the class.

"Now, the first thing we need to do is separate into pairs, so everyone, find a partner." The instruction was simple enough, but Vincent soon found it to be harder than it seemed. There were some students in the class that he was familiar and friendly with, but they had all paired up with people they were true friends with, leaving Vincent the only one without a partner... well, not the only one. He scanned the room for anyone that was available and his eyes fell upon a girl sitting not to far from him. He recognized her from his last class, the "girl who liked to draw", he figured if she was alone as well, they might as well pair up. He quickly shuffled over to her.

"Hey, uh... Emy was it?" He asked somewhat awkwardly, just hoping he got the name right. "You wanna pair up?"

"Sure.." She answered, shy. She got up and waited for the instructions of the mighty mister Klurk. "I wonder what we're going to do.." Said Emy, trying to not look too awkward and weird.

Gym wasnt one of her favorite class but she was good at it. The reason what nobody wanted to be with her is because she was a kind of nerd. Her glasses made her look smarter.. And nerdier. The people, wanting to be like popular ones, didnt hang with " her kind"
"I don't know, guess we'll just have to wait and see." Vincent replied. Coach Klurk disappeared into the store room and came back out with a cart filled with medicine balls.

"Alright, since it's the first day we'll start off with some simple strength building exercises. You and your partner will be passing these Medicine Balls back and forth between you, you'll start off with these lighter ones, but if I see you doing a good job I'll replace it with a heavier one, this will allow me to see where you stand in terms of pure physical strength and stamina." He explained, holding up a light and heavy medicine ball for all to see. "Alright, everyone get a ball and start."

"I'll get us a ball." Vincent said before walking over to the cart. He choose a lighter ball as instructed and brought it back to Emy. "Alright, I guess we just pass it to each other." he said as he took a few steps back and readied himself for the exercise. "Ready, here we go." he passed the ball to his partner, it wasn't incredibly heavy, but it still had some decent weight to it.

Emy threw the ball back, again and again. It was too easy. Throw a ball. ''Come on, Coach Klurk, is that all you have?'' She thinked, throwing back the ball.

''When is the heavy medicine ball?'' she asked, wanting a real challenge or so.
The whole class seemed to be thinking the same thing, complaining at the simplicity of the exercise.

"Alright, alright, if you really want a little bit more of a challenge, you can all switch to a heavier ball." He said. Everyone, including Vincent went back to the cart and exchanged a lighter ball for a heavier ball. Vincent couldn't help but be disappointed by the new ball, sure it was heavier, but not by much.

"Oh yeah, this is so much harder." Vincent said sarcastically as he walked back to Emy. Klurk seemed to smirk knowingly at the statement, but kept quiet and just watched. Vincent passed the ball over to Emy, and she passed it back. Vincent caught it, but as he did the ball seemed noticeably... heavier. "What the..." He passed it back to Emy, who seemed to notice the change as well, and when the ball came back to Vincent, he stumbled back from the weight. "Ok, what gives?"

"Oh, did I forget to mention that the heavier ball gets heavier with every pass." Klurk informed with an amused smirk. The whole class groaned in annoyance at the trickery. "Hey, you wanted harder, now you've got it, keep going." he ordered. Vincent was annoyed, but he wasn't going to let it get him down.

"...This... this is nothing, let's show him we can take this Emy." He said to his partner as he threw the ball back to her.

''Easy-Peasy.'' she said, removing her glasses and putting them in her pockets. She threw back the ball with one hand and laughed. ''Coach, how is this hard?'' she asked. It was kind of hard, but not that hard. She turned her arms to ice, they were stronger. Normally, she would just.. fail throwing that heavy ball, but with iced arms, it was wayyyyyy easier. ''Who said Powers werent aloud?'' she said, smirking. She threw the ball, again and again, noticing that it was even heavier now. It was like if she had normal arms on the first heavy ball. ''...''

Well this is 1x1 romance xD sorry :P))
Vincent began to regret his earlier statement, Emy seemed to be the only one out of the two of them that actually could take it, he on the other hand was struggling more and more the heavier it got. He looked around the room, other magical creatures faired rather well once they realized they could use their powers, and other mages turned it into a cake walk with their magic. Vincent however was stubborn, he wasn't going to take the easy way out.

"...I can do this... I don't need magic..." He steeled himself and threw the ball back at Emy, who was still able to lob it around like it was a simple rubber ball. When came back to him, he stumbled back from the force as he caught it, but he stayed standing.

"...I don't need it..." He told himself again as he clumsily threw it back. Emy caught it, and threw it back, Vincent nearly falling over from the heft, just barely keeping his balance. "I don't need it..." He was reaching his limit, but he wasn't gonna give up, he summoned all of his might and threw the ball back over to Emy, the increase in weight starting make her struggle slightly. But still, she was able to hold it relatively easily and threw it back just as easily as before. Vincent's eyes widened as the ball hit his chest as he caught it, the force knocking him off of his feet and putting him on his back, the incredibly heavy ball crushing his ribs. "...I... might need it..." he muttered, barely above a whisper. The whole class laughed at the display, even the coach, though his was much less offending.

"Ha ha ha, I like you kid, you got spunk." Klurk said as he walked over to the boy and removed the anvil of a ball off of his chest. "Well I think that's enough of the balls for today, but the next I won't go easy on you and forbid you to use your powers, so be sure to stay on my good side." he addressed the class, which all gave grunts in confirmation.

Emy didnt laugh. She wasnt the type to laugh of people because they did something in a bad way. Her eyes turned slightly blood red and she summoned snowballs in her hand. ''Let's see who's gonna laugh now..'' she muttered, throwing the snowballs in all the faces of all the people who laughed of him. When the other students got the snowball in the face, they got mad and looked around to see who threw them. Emy did like nothing happened, her arms turned back to normal and she didnt had snowballs in the hands. She helped Vincent up and said: ''Guess who's laughing now?'' pointing the students with cold snow in their face. Emy knew she would probably go at the principal's office if she got caught, but, hopefully, she didnt.

The girl walked out of the gymnasium and changed to her daily school uniform. She grabbed her glasses and tried to exit the locker room but couldnt. The group of popular girls were blocking the way. ''Where are you going? Little nerd?'' the most popular girl said, as she grabbed Emy's glasses. ''You dont need those? Right, little nerd?'' the girl said. Emy wasnt tall, so it was hard for her to grab them in the air. Emy's eyes slowly turned completly blood red as the girls were playing with them. ''Give them back! If i dont need those, then why do you do?'' she said, growling. ''Pff.. were the popular girls, we can do what we want here. It's our school.'' said the popular-ish. The tiny girl (Emy) hided in a cabin and turned into her white wolf form. She got out and growled at them. The girls were scared as Emy was ready to attack them with her fangs and teeths. They dropped them on the floor and ran away. Emy turned to her human form back and said, while they were running; ''Dont mess with me next time!'' She grabbed her glasses and walked to her next class: ''Chemistry''.
Vincent got changed and began walking to his next class, but as he passed by the girls locker room he heard the unpleasant sound of an all too familiar voice. He quickly hid behind gym exit and peaked over to the locker room entrance, there he saw the popular girls confronting Emy. He sighed in annoyance.

"Miranda, why am I not surprised." He whispered in exasperation, Miranda was a mage and one of the most popular girls in school, mostly due to the fact that her family were highly respected mages in the magical community. Since they were both mages, they tended to have most Arcane Curriculum classes together, so he knew her and her clique's tendency to torment other students, but this time, he was going to do something about it. He was about to step in and try to get Emy's glasses back, but just then, she came back out in her wolf form, spooking the girls and surprising Vincent.

"No way." he said, he didn't expect her to be a hybrid, heck he didn't even want to know how a Frosted Human and Werewolf could even... never mind. The girls were trembling at the sight of the beast, Miranda was the first to react and she attempted to put up a barrier between her and Emy. "Oh no you don't." Vincent slipped on a blue fingerless glove with silver trims and an Arcane symbol on the back, his own personal catalyst for casting magic. As soon as the barrier formed, Vincent sent out a pulse of magic and dispelled it with little effort. "Pfft, sloppy as ever." Freaked out by the incident, the girls decided to just run, dropping the girl's glasses in the process. He leaned back on the wall next to the door as the popular girls swung it open and dashed out of the gym, Miranda was the last to exit. "Real mature, Miranda." He said, gaining the mage's attention.

"Vincent, so it was you who dispelled my barrier?" Miranda accused with a scowl on her face.

"Wasn't too hard either, might want to construct your Rune Circles a little more carefully from now on." he mocked.

"Oh please, like I was going to waste a perfect barrier on some over grown mutt." She defended herself.

"So you weren't just rushing because you were scared out of your mind." Vincent rebuked.

"Whatever, the nerd isn't worth our time anyway, we have more important things to tend to." She insisted as she began to walk away.

"Just what happened to you Miranda, you used to be such a sweet little girl, now you're just a witch."

"I grew up Vincent, took my place at the top of the food chain, I suggest you wise up and do the same." She gave him a hair flip and walked away with her cohorts. Vincent just rolled his eyes, he would never understand why she turned out like that. She looked back into the gym and saw that Emy was gone, probably left for her next class, and Vincent figured he better do the same. He looked at his schedule.

"Chemistry, alright then." Vincent put away the schedule and walked to his next class.

Emy sat in class, annoyed. Her eyes were still blood red as she looked around the class. She saw Miranda and growled at her, looking right into her eyes with a scary look. Emy turned her arm to it's wolf form and got her fangs out. She wanted Miranda to stop what she was doing. Each year she was like that. She growled and saw the teacher enter the class. Emy's arm turned to it's normal form and she looked infront, seeing that Vincent was still in her class.

''Hello, students. I am Mister Skeliskov. Your chemistry teacher.'' he said, looking at the students. He was a tall, had black short hair and purple eyes. He was a human, but not a normal one. He was a sorcereer and was one of the most serious teachers.
''I would like, today, to teach you how to make a speed potion. Sadly, it is the first day.. you are then free to talk with your friends, draw or do anything that you want that DOES NOT break the rules of the school. Enjoy.'' he said.

Miranda and her little group started talking in Emy's back. Emy obviously knew they were doing that and didnt seem to care. If they were messing with her again, they were going to hardly regret it. Emy waved at Vincent and started drawing as usual.
Vincent was surprised by the instruction, he figured that Skeliskov would give them something to do on their first day, he was somewhat notorious for being a somewhat strict teacher, but Vincent just shrugged it off and gladly accepted the free period. His eyes met with Emy and he waved back at her, he could see Miranda and her clique giggle mockingly at them, but Vincent decided to ignore it. He reached into his bag and brought out a book, The Equinox by Aleister Crowley, and began reading quietly, however he didn't get very far before he felt a pat on his shoulder.

"Hey man, long time no see." Said a familiar voice. Vincent looked up from his book to see the smiling face of his friend Marshal standing next to his table.

"Well, look who ended up having to retake chemistry." He said with a teasing smirk.

"Hey, we can't all be pseudo-honor students like you now can we." Marshal quipped right back as he took a seat at the table. He took a look at the cover of Vincent's book. "So whatcha reading there... Crowley, seriously?"

"Hey, the guy might've been a bit out there, but his strives in Spiritual Conjuring still deserve recognition, besides it was on the reading list for our Arcane Arts class." Vincent explained.

"There was a reading list?" Marshal asked a bit nervously. Vincent just laughed, Marshal hadn't changed a bit. Just then, Marshal took notice of Miranda and who her clique seemed to be talking about. "Well, look's like Miranda has found her punching bag for the year." he said. Vincent glanced back over in their direction.

"Yeah, that's Emy, they were harassing her last period after gym class too." Vincent informed.

"And let me guess, you swooped in to the rescue and saved the poor damsel in distress didn't ya?" Marshal half teased.

"Ha ha, nah man, it wasn't like that at all, I just gave her... a little helping hand, that's all, trust me, she had it covered for the most part."

"I don't know Vincent, Miranda could be pretty vicious." Vincent couldn't help but inwardly snicker at his friend's choice of words. "Plus, she looks a little lonely, sitting drawing all by her lonesome, Miranda eats those kinds of people up." Vincent saw his point, if one didn't know about... you know, she would seem like the perfect victim, and Miranda could never resist an easy target. He heard the clique of witches giggle as they pointed at her, and shot them a glare before raising from his seat.

"Come on Marshal." he said before guiding his reluctant friend over to the "Ice Wolf" girl's table. "Hey Emy, you uh, mind if me and my friend sit here?"
