Vincent leaped over the tail and shot a bolt of lightning at her at point blank range, sending her flying back. 'Damn, she actually got near me, she's pretty fast, gotta stay on my toes.' He thought to himself as he regained his footing and refocused on the fight, once again shooting spells at her.
As she hitted the wall, Allison turned back to her human form, eyes closed; She was bluffing so Vincent would come near and she would have an opportunity to attack. 'Hope it will work.. otherwise i might just throw ice shots and stuff..' Emy thought, eyes still closed, still on the ground next to the wall.
"Oh crap, Emy!" Vincent exclaimed with concern. He began to run over to her but before he got too close he noticed her Rune Vest was still glowing, having recently absorbed the damage from his attack. "Huh... heh, nice try Emy, not a bad play when fighting a friend." He stated, reopening his Tome. "But remember, our opponents in the real battle won't care if you're down and out, that's actually what they want. Come on, on your feet, this still isn't over." He said, preparing to shoot another bolt of lightning at her.
''It actually worked, that was my plan: dont get any distractions. Anyways.. dont think i am going to be attacked just like that!'' Emy answered, smirking as the katana from earlier appeared in her hands and she began attacking the mage. Knowing that he would probably shoot a lightning bolt, she punched the ground with her other fist to create a wall of ice and protect herself.
"Playing defense huh, smart, but..." Vincent cut paused as he cast his spell, the Rune Circle appearing the right of the pillar with a clear shot at Emy. "You should put up your shield only after you're certain where they're aiming." He stated, the bolt of lightning firing at the girl.
''Gah!'' Emy muttered, falling on the ground and slowly getting up in a cloud of dust cause by the lightning bolt. Her eyes turned slightly red as her tail grew. She looked back up and turned her left arm into ice, making it more stronger and running on 4 limbs in direction of the mage.
Vincent fired multiple lightning bolts at Emy, but in her angered state she was much more agile and able to evade them. 'Damn, can't stop her from getting in close. He cursed in his head, if he didn't do something quick he was going to get a face full ice fist. 'I didn't want to bring this out so early in our training, but I guess desperate times call for desperate measures.' His Tome flipped to another spell as he awaited for Emy to close the distance between them, once she was in range, moving to strike him with her ice covered arm, Vincent activated the spell, a Rune Circle appearing above them and a fire ball shooting out at her arm, melting the ice encasing it and slowing it down long enough for him to dodge roll away from her fire another fire ball at her. She seemed surprised.
"You should probably brush up on your Arcane Element Definitions." He began. "Lightning isn't one of the four primary elements, it's a combination of Fire and Wind, so I'm skilled in both those elements as well. This will be the case for other Mages in the battle, so keep that in mind."

Emy just ignored his comment, her eyes getting more red. "If a wolf or Ice cant fit, something will." She thought, her katana appearing in her hands. "You also forget that ice isnt a direct element either. It's cold water." She informed, smirking and elevating a water wall to, after it was strong and big enough, let it go on him as a Very big wave.
"Oh Crap!" Vincent exclaimed as the large wave came at him. He didn't falter however and cast another spell, a Rune Circle appearing on the ground beneath him and encasing him in a dome of swirling wind, protecting him from the torrent of water. 'Damn that was close, I didn't expect her to be able to manipulate liquid water, that's supposed to be incredibly difficult for Frosted Humans.' He thought to himself as he stared down his partner, who seemed to be slightly winded from the last attack. 'That was a good attack, it's actually really impressive that she can even still be standing after controlling that much water, at least she's not low on options.' His eyes then darted around the room, the whole battleground was soaked in water and this gave Vincent an idea.
"Not bad, really impressive actually," Vincent said sincerely. "But let's see how you handle this!" He cast another spell, another Rune Circle appearing beneath him charging the ground it covered with electricity, however with the floor all wet the spell was easily conducted all over the ground. 'Got her now, she can either take the attack or leap into the air to avoid it, she'll be a sitting duck if she does that.' He thought, preparing a fire spell for if she leaped up.

Emy thought for a second: ''I sense less pain when in wolf form.. if i jump he'll probably attack me.. nothing else to do..'' She thought, turning into a wolf and getting electrocuted. The wolf fell to the ground, a small growl could be heard. After a couple minutes, the wolf turned back into the girl. Allison was just standing there, starring at Vincent with a mad and somehow shy look in her eyes: A mix of red and purple. Slowly the tattoo appeared in her neck, giving her enough energy to fight bare hands. Emy frosted the water, not wanting it to be a danger anymore. She then approached, silently. ''I regret this.'' She told the mage, punching him in the guts, then punching his head and tackling him to the ground.
Vincent was shocked by her decision, he figured with her fatigue from her last attack she would avoid any extra damage, but she endured the attack and still had enough energy to completely freeze the field, limiting his meneuvorablilty. 'Damn, this isn't good, if she gets me in close quarters combat I'm a dead man.' He exclaimed in his head before shooting multiple blasts of fire at the wolf girl in hopes to keep her at a distance. However, with the power gained from her marks, she was able to evade all of his spells and eventually was able to close the distance between them yet again.
"Oh shit." He muttered before Emy punched him in the gut, she knocked the wind out of him but the vest absorbed any major damage the powerful hit could've done. She followed up with a jab to his face, which landed perfectly, Vincent had no real experience in hand to hand combat so he was pretty much a sitting duck. Eventually she pinned him the ground, he remembered the terms of their battle however and kept a firm grip on his Tome. He figured it was only a matter of time before she got over her bloodthirsty assault and finished the job, but just then he noticed something, the Runes on her vest were glowing red, they had taken a lot of damage and wouldn't last much longer.
"...so do I." he replied to her previous statement. He opened his Tome for one last spell, a Rune Circle appearing above them and a large bolt of lightning shot down on both of them. Vincent groaned in pain as the electricity traveled through both their bodies, the damage being absorbed by their Vests. But it was just too much for Emy's, the attack broke it, the Runes disappearing and the Vest falling off, if this were an official match, Emy would've lost. Vincent panted, exhausted. "I guess... it's a draw." He stated. Truth be told he never expressed any way for him to "win" the battle, and without a vest they couldn't safely continue, so the only logical conclusion was to call it a draw.

Emy's eyes turned back to their brown color and Emy sighed. ''I definitly need a nap..'' She said, her eyes turning pink of sleepyness as she fastly fell asleep on the ground and was looking like she wasnt going to wake up for hours. ''i.. hate.. Miranda.. i'm.. going.. to destroy.. her face..'' She said, in her sleep, growling a little bit while sleeping.
On her side, Miranda was talking with her ''friends'' and saying crap in Emy's back to feel better about herself.

Vincent chuckled nervously at her sleep talking. 'Maybe this wasn't such a good idea after all.' He thought to himself, as to not awaken his sleeping partner. He looked over to his Tome, opening it up to find a good majority of the pages blank, having used up the spells engraved in them. In fact, after the battle there were only three spells left, a single shot of Lightning, another barrier of wind, and another area of effect attack he used on the wet floor before. If she had just held on a little bit longer she could've won. He looked back over at her sleeping form and smiled. 'Miranda and her crew can say anything they want about her, but I think she definitely have what it takes to win this thing.' He thought. He stood up, a more difficult task then he had expected, the pain from Emy's onslaught and his own spell still lingering on his body. 'I on the other hand may need a little more practice.' He lamented, walking over to a bench at the edge of the field and sitting down, just waiting for Emy to wake up.
A couple minutes after, Emy woke up, wipping her eyes, stooding up and seeing Vincent. ''Oh hi, any idea what happened after i turned into a wolf and got electrocuted?'' She asked, not remembering anything after the tattoo appeared. ''Ice everywhere? That's great!'' The girl said, smiling and hugging over the ice. ''I love ice.'' She whispered, closing her eyes and sticking her face to the ice, a bright smile on her face. ''Feels like i ran 100 kilometers in 1 hour.. my legs and arms are totally dead..''
Vincent was a little awestruck by Emy's behavior, moments before she was a ferocious warrior, and now... she wad down right adorable. "You... seriously don't remember?" He asked, Emy confirming the fact. "Uh... well, basically, you kicked my ass, at least in a physical sense, but I was able to break your Rune Vest, so the match ended at a draw." He explained, walking over to the discarded Rune Vest and picking it up to show her. "If this were a regulation match I would've been declared the winner, but since it's just practice, I think a tie is fair."
''Dont worry, you totally won. Even if it's in hand to hand combat that you failed, you still won the fight.'' She answered, smiling and continuing to hug the ice. ''What about that next time, we work on YOUR physical defense?'' Emy proposed, smirking.
"Heh heh, yeah, I guess some physical conditioning wouldn't hurt, but I am tapped out right now, man, I never realized how tiring it is to cast a bunch of offensive spells in a row like that, I feel like I just had the life drained out of me." Vincent sighed, he could barely find the energy to be sitting up at the moment, let alone continue training. "I say we call it a day for now, we can train some more after class tomorrow, sound good?"
''Good for me, and now i'm going to take a loooong nap.'' She answered, stooding up and leaving the gym in silence. She headed towards the dormitory building and entered her room. The wolf girl took a shower, weared her pyjama and fastly fell asleep on her bed, obviously really tired about her training. 'How am i going to win this championship?..' She thought, before deeply falling asleep.
The next day was Monday, so they had to go to school, Vincent shut off his alarm clock as it blared and slid out of bed, a much more difficult task than he had thought, considering he was still sore from the training. "Gah, damn, guess I went a little overboard during training, shooting myself with a lightning bolt." He lamented as he prepared for the day. Once he got to school he waited by the usual spot he met up with Emy, however before she made it, Miranda, Pierce, and their posse approached him.
"Hey there Vincent, how was training yesterday, teach your pet a few new tricks." Miranda quipped, gaining giggles from the lackeys.
"Didn't need too, she was perfectly capable of kicking my but on her own, which means she's going to mop the floor with you during the competition." Vincent replied.
"Oh please, as if a werewolf of all things could last two seconds against me." Pierce insisted. "I mean, when has a werewolf EVER beaten a vampire?"
"You'd be surprised, considering you don't pay attention in history class." Vincent shot back, thought the duo just shrugged it off.
"Whatever, go ahead and train yourselves to death, it'll save you some humiliation from losing to us in the match." Miranda said before they began to leave.
"Good luck." Pierce said mockingly as he roughly patted his back, causing Vincent to flinch in pain, the vampire's desired effect. Vincent growled as the group laughed their way across the hallway, he couldn't wait to till the preliminaries.

Emily walked over to Vincent and her's meeting point about 2 minutes after the popular jerks had came to trouble him.She sighed, smiling a bit while her snow-white tail was waving in her back.
''Hey, so, what's up?'' She asked, while trying to analyze what had just happened, since he seemed a bit in pain. ''Are you alright, buddy?'' The half-breed asked, raising her left eyebrow and looking at him with a look that only made her seem more worried. She then nodded to herself a bit while understand without him even saying anything.
''That witch and Dracula we're here, right?'' She asked while sighing in deception. ''Sorry i couldn't come here earlier. Are you harmed or something?'' Emily apologized.
