''Yeah, see you guys.'' she said, fastly walking to her last class. Jix was next to the door, outside of the class while Emy was in class. After class, Emy high-fived Jix and walked to her dormitory. She made her homeworks and relaxed.
Vincent and Marshal went off to their final class, luckily Miranda was nowhere to be seen, her final class was History. The first day was pretty much just a quick review of the most important things to remember from last year, and so Vincent let his mind wander. He was still racking his brain about how to get Miranda to leave Emy alone, she was a sweet girl for the most part, and she didn't deserve to be Miranda's personal punching bag. However, he just couldn't think of anything that could help, sure Jix looking out for her was a pretty solid strategy for now, but pretty soon he'll have his hands full with teaching, what then? By the end of the class he was still empty handed, he let out a sigh and returned to his dorm, hopefully a good night's sleep will help him think of something.

Before going to sleep, Emy grabbed her phone and texted Vincent: ''Hey, thanks for helping me with the Miranda problems.. g'night!'' She texted. The girl yawned and silently got to sleep.
Vincent prepared for bed, brushing his teeth, putting on his pajamas, and just as he was about to hop under the covers, he received Emy's text. He smiled at it, but then he frowned.

"You don't have to thank me... really, you don't." He replied. He placed his phone to charge and got into bed, shutting of the lights with a single clap of his hands. He let out a long sigh and fell asleep.

Emy got the text and slowly fell asleep in silence.
The next two weeks went off without a hitch, Jix's work load was relatively light and so he was able to stick close to Emy, repelling Miranda and her witches for the time being. The group fell into a routine, Vincent and Emy would meet up at one of the entrances to the school building every morning and walk to class together, having the first three periods together. They, as well as Marshal and Jix, would then meet up in the cafeteria for lunch, where Miranda and her clique always kept a watchful eye on them, like vultures circling their pray. Things were rather peaceful, Emy seemed to be enjoying herself as well, so Vincent tried to keep talk about Miranda to minimum, despite still racking his brain for a more permanent solution. Then one day...

"Hey, Vincent," Jix said, stopping the mage in the hallway. "I need to speak with you."

"What's up Mr. Jix?" He inquired.

"Listen, I can't have lunch with you three anymore," he informed with an apologetic look on his face. "My workload is increasing and if I don't start buckling down now..."

"You don't have to explain anything, I get it, you are a teacher after all." Vincent replied.

"I'm sorry, I really wish I could be more help." He sighed solemnly. "Listen, I really appreciate what you've been doing for Little-Emy, she's always had trouble making friends, and its nice to see her already having such kind and devoted ones like you and Marshal, you have my gratitude." Vincent, couldn't help but stare at the floor halfway between his speech, his hands tightening as if he was trying to hold something back.

"It's... it's really no big deal..." He insisted.

"It may not seem like much, but take it from me, sometimes all anyone really needs is a good friend, keep on being just that for Little-Emy, and I'm sure it'll all work out." He said, putting a hand on his shoulder.

"...Ok, thanks for everything Mr. Jix." Vincent replied.

"No problem, and you know what, you can drop the Mr, just call me Jix." He said with a wide grin on his face. "Well, I'll let you go now, have a good day." he said as he took his leave. Vincent sighed, with Jix gone there was nothing stopping Miranda from bullying Emy, Vincent needed to think of something, and quick.

Emy was in class, as usual. It was second class: gym. The girl was making the stuff needed and waited for class to end. "See ya in next class, Vincent." She said, waving and walking in the locker-room to change to her uniform. Miranda was still there mocking her but this Time, she smiled and laughed. "Miranda, i dont care anymore! Nothing will work! Pranks, getting me Mad, mocking or insulting Will result in nothing. Have a good day." Emy said, with a big smile on her face. Index, she wasnt really wishing her a good day but, the rest was.. Half true. In a way, she carred but really not as much as before. Miranda and her witches we're confused, looking at each other and wondering what happened. Somehow, Emy seemed happier then usual. It was a reason she kept to herself and Jix only. Jix wasnt the type of cousin to say everything and all secrets. That's one of the reasons why she really appreciated Jix. The wolf-girl walked to third class and sat. Waving at Vincent with a smile.
Vincent waved back, forcing a smile. He couldn't help but feel down now that Miranda was gonna start wailing on Emy again. He knew as soon as they saw that Jix wasn't with us at lunch they would swarm again, there had to be away to get them to back off permanently, but how?

After third and fourth period Vincent and Marshal met up with Emy for lunch, they sat at their usual table, minus the jolly Mr. Jix.

"Listen Emy, I have some bad news." He began with a solemn look on his face. "Jix said he can't have lunch with us anymore, he has to start focusing on his work so... Miranda's probably going to go back to bullying you again."

Emy laughed. ''I know. He tells me everything. That witch aint a problem. I can deal with it.. trust me..'' she said, with a smirk. The wolf-girl started eating in silence while the two boys looked at each-other, giving confused looks. ''You'll see.. you'll see..'' she said, still smirking but now eating.
Vincent was surprised by her reaction, but it didn't make him any less worried. He and Marshal sat down and got their lunches ready, but before they even took a bight, Miranda and her crew were already making their way to their table.

"Well, well, well, no big hairy bodyguard today I see, I guess even he had better things to do than hang around a mangy half-breed like you." Miranda said.

"Back off Miranda, we're just trying to eat lunch here." Vincent replied.

"Oh really, well last time a checked pets weren't allowed in the cafeteria." She shot back, hoping to provoke Emy.

Emy smirked. ''Oh yeah.. i'm sure youre right with the pets.. the thing is that i ain't one. You see, Jix is a half breed too, and he's a teacher so, shut up. I checked the rules of the school too.. and it says no teacher or student will ever be a witch. So that's why i am wondering how YOU and YOUR GANG have entered the school. What spell do you use to disguise yourself, uh? Oh yeah, make-up. Plus, you're like make-up.. faker then ever. Have a good lunch now, princess.'' The wolf-girl replied, fully calm.

After saying that, she turned around to the table and continued eating calmly. The girls stayed there for about 45 seconds, looking at each-other with mad and suprised looks. Emy was so happy about what she just said, even if she got to the principal, she could of tell that Miranda was arrassing her.

The Half-Blood growed her tail and slapped the floor where the witches were standing to make them go away. She was still eating calmly though. When they were gone, her tail disapeared and she continued eating. ''I dont remember what class we have after lunch.. what is it again?'' She asked to Vincent.
Vincent and Marshal were speechless, they couldn't believe what they just saw. Usually Emy would go crazy from just being called a nerd, and now she just told them off, calm and cool as anyone ever was, it was astounding.

"Wow Emy, you really took Vincent's advice to heart huh?" Marshal finally said with an amused smirk on his face.

"Yeah, you handled that really well, I'm proud of you." Vincent added, with a wide grin on his face.

As the boys were showering Emy with praise, Miranda sat at her table, staring daggers at them.

"Just who the hell does the loser she think she is?" One of the witches said.

"She gets a couple of lame, slumming Mages to be her friends and she suddenly thinks she's all that." the second one added.

"Does she really think she can talk to US like that and get away with it?" The third stated.

"Apparently she does, and that just can't stand now can it?" Miranda said with a devilish smirk finding its way on her face. "Trisha, there's a spell I want you to engrave into your Tome for tomorrow, if that little Half-Breed Nerd wants a battle, I'll give her a war."

Emy knew they wouldnt let they'reselves get insulted like that, she knew they were making a plan. How did she knew? Well, she could her them with her wolf ears that she just growed out. ''Thanks but.. they're planning something. I hear it..'' She said, staring at her plate as her ears were moving because of the sound. ''Miranda said something about a war.. and mentionned me.. i'm ready..'' The Wolf-Girl said, still staring at her plate.
"War... oh boy, that doesn't sound good." Vincent lamented before taking a bite out of his sandwich. The rest of the day was smooth sailing, mostly because they only had one class left, and after that it was back to the dorms, however, that night Trisha engraved a spell into her Tome, one that Miranda had requested, not wanting to waste the space on her own Tome. The next day at gym class Miranda didn't say one word to Emy, just watching with a confident smile on her face, that Vincent duly noted. Once class came to an end and Emy exited the locker room, Miranda was ready for some payback.

"Alright Trisha, give me your Tome." She ordered, which Trisha happily obeyed. Miranda opened the book and the paged magically flipped to the page she desired. Miranda activated the spell, a Rune Circle appearing just above the book that lingered a moment. Seconds later, a small bug appeared from it, Miranda pointed at Emy and the insect, a flea it seemed, floated over to her, embedding itself in her hair. Emy twitched a little, but overall disregarded the sensation. Miranda grinned evilly, their next class was sure to be entertaining.

Emy ignored the bug, insects didnt really disturb her. The girl quietly walked to her next class, not thinking about it.
In Chemistry class, the teacher was giving a lecture on the difference between Alchemy and pure chemistry, the class listening intently, all except for Miranda, who stared at Emy, waiting for her curse to take effect. Suddenly, Emy felt an itch on her head, it was minor but still annoying. However, scratching just seemed to make it worse, the itch getting more irritating and it seemed to spread, and almost felt as if it was crawling in her hair. It eventually became completely unbearable, it felt as though something was chewing at her scalp and showed no sign of stopping.

''Stupid.. stupid.. stupid.. Miranda.. i hate that witch..'' She muttered, scratching her head and trying to remove the bug from her hair. Emy tried to be silentious to not get attention.
The chewing sensation continued, in multiple places at once, and eventually the source revealed itself. A hoard of fleas descended from her hair, spreading all across her body, biting at her and making her itch like crazy. As they spread, Emy was practically forced into her wolf form, to both better scratch herself and try to conceal the insects. However, they remained visible from the curse and Miranda decided it was time to make people notice. She let out a scream.

"Ahhh, oh god, the Half-Breed has fleas!" She cried in false terror, turning everyone's attention to the frantically scratching Half-Breed. They all seemed disgusted with this, inching away from her as if to avoid catching the fleas, mumbling words of disgust and disdain.

The teacher letted Emy got the bathroom as he saw she had some ''problems'' right now. The girl ran out of the class on 4 limbs even if she wasnt in her wolf form. Once in the bathroom, she turned to her wolf form because it was one of the only places you could transform. She growled and tried to scratch the fleas off, resulting in just removing a couple. After thinking of how to get the fleas removed, running back to class in human form and mutterring some stuff to the fleas. ''look buddies.. i didnt wanted that.. she's the one that is evil and she created you to humiliate me.. how 'bout you humiliate her back?'' Emy muttered, as the fleas jumped off her, going towards Miranda.
"Emy wait..." He tried to stop her from leaving, but just like before she was too quick for him. His solemn face soon turned into a scowl, directing it a still laughing Miranda. "Miranda...." He growled at her, too angry to think of anything else to say.

"What, it's not my fault the mutt forgot to take her flea bath last night." She taunted, a smug look on her face. Vincent's hands tightened into fists at the comment.

"Oh don't give me that crap, you placed a curse on her, didn't you!" He accused.

"Why Vincent, I'm insulted, why would I waste precious space in my Tome just to mess with a lowly little nerd like her, if you ask me, she doesn't even deserve being touched by my magic." She denied, with an insult to boot. Vincent was just getting angrier by the second, he was about to really let her have it, when he saw one of the fleas crawl on the floor, followed by a whole army of magical insects. Vincent was able to deduce what was happening and just smirked.

"Looks like your not the only one who thinks so." He said, much to Miranda's confusion. That didn't last long, however, as she looked down to see the fleas beginning to climb up her legs. She screamed bloody murder and began frantically trying to swipe them off of her, but just as she had made the spell to be, it was impossible. "Looks like you didn't do your homework, a lot of Were-Beasts can communicate with other animals to a certain extent, I guess you didn't make your little flea friends here mindless enough, huh?" Now it was his turn to be smug, it was always the little things that came to bite her in the butt. The rest of the class laughed at the display, much to Miranda's humiliation.

"Alright, I think that is quite enough." the teacher stated. "Mr. Magnus, will you please despell the curse so we may move on with class."

"Yes sir." Vincent replied. He took his sweet time taking his Tome out of his backpack and even manually flipped through the pages to find the "Detect Magic" spell he had engraved into it. A Rune Circle appeared around Miranda as he activated it, allowing Vincent to identify exactly what the curse was and so he was able to break it. He then flipped to the page that had "Despell" and subsequently broke the curse, causing the fleas to disappear. He slammed the Tome shut. "There, good as new." He said sarcastically.
