"Sure." She said, walking out of the gym into the lunch room, still silentious. Emy sat down, waiting for her friend.
"Alright, let's do this." He said, bringing out his Tome. "I've been meaning to practice my conjuring, guess this is as good a time as any. So, hungry for anything specific?" he asked.
Emy thinked for a moment. "It's been quite a long time i Didnt eat a t-bone." She answered, her teeth going sharper Just as she said that.
"One T-Bone, coming right up." Vincent said, his Tome flipping to the requested spell. A Rune Circle appeared before the wolf girl and moments later, a large, well prepared T-Bone stake appeared. "Alright, lunch is served... hope it tastes ok."
''Thanks.'' Said Emy, beginning to eat the steak. ''Actually, it's pretty good.'' She said, continuing to eat. ''All i can do with my ice magic is frosted food.. basicly ice.'' The wolf girl said, smirking and laughing. ''What are you going to eat?'' Emy asked, curious.
"Don't worry about me," Vincent said, activating another spell, conjuring a submarine sandwich. "My tastes are a little more... simpler." He stated before taking a bite of the sandwich. He chewed it well, taking in the taste and comparing it to genuine sandwich, he was surprised to see that it compared well. "Wow, I actually did it, this was my first time conjuring food, so I'm glad it turned out ok." He said, taking another bite.
''So i was the experiment?'' Emy said, jokingly, smiling as her eyes turned orange. ''Just kidding.'' She said, laughing and continuing to eat.
Vincent laughed with her. "Yeah, sorry in advanced if they turn out to give you diarrhea." He replied. They continued eating, a comfortable silence falling over them, Vincent got half way through his sandwich when he conjured a pitcher of water and two glasses. "Care for some water?" He asked her, pouring himself a glass.
''Sure, thanks.'' She said, grabbing the other cup and pouring water. ''Hope Miranda and Pierce wont be here.. they piss me off so bad..'' Emy said, sighing as her eyes turned back to a normal brown.
"Don't worry, they don't eat here if they don't have to." Vincent assured, taking a sip of his water. "They probably went off into town for lunch, and they most likely won't come back to bother us again, they had their laugh and they're not going to waste their weekend torturing us, especially if they can get in trouble for it like you said" He stated, taking another bite of his sandwich. "But just a heads up, they'll probably want to do some training too, so if the gym's not available we'll just have to go someplace else, it's kind of first come first serve."
Emy nodded, putting her empty plate away. ''We can always use the morphing class.. or the backyard.. it's the same place anyways..'' She said, shrugging. ''But if they're ''too good'' they'll probably not train.'' The wolf girl explained, snapping her fists and looking back at Vincent.
"Don't let their arrogance fool you, they're not so full of themselves that they won't train, they didn't half exactly half-ass it when they won the last two competitions." Vincent said. "In fact, they're not the only ones we need to worry about. There's gonna be other teams competing in the preliminaries from the this school, and only the top three will be able to move on to the main tournament to represent our school. Either way, its not gonna be easy."
''That's what i thought.. What are the names of the others we need to worry about?'' She asked, snapping her fingers again and scratching her ear.
"Well, I don't know the names of all of the competitors off the top of my head," Vincent admitted. "But I do know the ones we should probably look out for. Like I said, the top three teams from each school make it to the main event, obviously Miranda and Pierce were among them, and the last I heard the other two teams are competing this year as well. The first team is a Mage named Cornelius and a Pyromancer named Anna, they won the competition three years ago before they were "dethroned" by Miranda and Pierce during our freshmen year. They're gonna want to take their title back and since they've already won once they'll still be tough to beat. The second team is a Mage named Maurice and a Lizardman named Zekka, they debuted last year and were the runner ups of the final competition, they're both highly skilled in martial arts so they're nearly unbeatable in party matches, in fact they beat Miranda and Pierce during the preliminaries and were the front runners for take the whole thing. However, Maurice's actual ability with magic is somewhat limited to physical support spells, so Proxy Matches were their downfall, some even say it was the only reason they lost to Miranda and Pierce, so they're definitely gonna be a really big threat."
"I see.. The pyromancer could Melt My ice.. The lizardman break it.." Emy said, making up plans in her head. "Good thing i can turn into a two meters tall Wolf.." The wolf girl said, stooding up. "I'll be waiting for you in the gym." She said, adjusting her glasses
"Huh, but aren't you gonna finish your..." Vincent was cut off as his jaw fell to the floor once he saw the bare steak bone completely cleaned off. "...Damn girl, you eat fast." He said, look at how much of his sandwich was still left. "Alright, you go on ahead then, I'll meet up with you in the gym."
Emy laughed. "Alright, see you there!" She said, walking up to the gym, turning into her wolf form and beginning to run on place.
Vincent smiled and continued eating his sandwich. However, his peaceful eating was interrupted by his phone ringing in his pocket. He brought it out and saw Marshal's name on the caller ID, swallowing the food in his mouth and answering the call. "Hey Marshal, what's up?"
"Is it true?" He said vaguely from the other end. "Are you and Emy seriously entering the Grand Quest Competition?"
"Uh, yeah, wait, how did you know that?" Vincent answered, surprised by his knowledge of his involvement.
"Who doesn't know that, everyone's talking about it, how one of the school's top mages is entering with some Half-Breed nobody hoping to defeat the reigning champs... their words, not mine." Marshal iterated.
"Oh no, you can't be serious." Vincent lamented in despair, from what very little he's heard it already seems like this whole thing is going to place a great big target on Emy's back, he could already hear the "underdog" jokes being made already.
"I'm afraid I am man, like or not people are treating this is a direct challenge to the queen bee, so if you don't win you're just going to be those losers that tried and got their butts kicked." Marshal stated.
"Not helping, Marshal."
"I'm just saying, you guys better train like marines for this thing, or else, one way or another, it's gonna be ugly."
"Yeah, no kidding... I gotta go, bye." Vincent didn't even wait for a reply as he hung up the phone, stuffed the rest of the sandwich in his mouth and darted back to the gym, they had some serious work to do.

The wolf was just there, making tracks in silence. When she saw Vincent enter, just turned human, starting to make push-ups. ''What's the next training?'' She asked, impatient for new stuff to do. ''Hey, how's Marshal? It's been a long time i didnt see him.'' The wolf girl said, curious about if something wrong.
"Oh, he's fine, I actually got off the phone with him, and he had quite a bit to tell me." Vincent replied. "Apparently word travels fast and you and I are the talk of the town, our little rivalry with Miranda and Pierce is officially a death match between the King and Queen of the school, and a couple of rowdy peasants." He explained.
