Since she was a girl, Anna has always loved to play in the castle grounds of her father, King Julius Sterling the II. She liked to run around in the gardens and play in the rivers. But one day, her castle, her home, came under seige. Suddenly, everything she knew was gone. She survived the attack, and was later picked up by one of the nuns and taken to safety. She didn't understand why all of this had happened at first, it happened when she was 9, but after some time she learned of a coup that had been planned for years. She then devoted her life to seeking out these vigilantes and bringing them to justice. At 34, she still seeks them, doing good deeds on the side and hoping to spread more good than others spread evil.
Icias was once a great warrior of the Ember Isle, friend to man and Bearon alike. His opinion was respected and his strength was feared but it just took one too many times speaking out against the corruption to cause the jaded leaders to give the Bearon community an ultimatum. Silence Icias and the other trouble makers or start an all out war threw the northern Isles.... As prideful and stubborn as he was Icias would have no part in this so his own people banished him.
The Polar Bearon was strengthened by the cold, but without it in this land of summer for the last two or three years his strength was weakened. Claws dulled, roar off pitch, and the Bearon walked alone unaware that his people had eventually had a civil war and many had died but him. Left rotting, no honor or dignity to be found. He was now a loser...
Doesn't matter how big you are or how powerful you once were, everyone has the potential to be a loser. War in the west, destruction in the north, Icias stayed far away from all that mess. He made his way east before finding a smaller sized town nestled in the woods next to a pretty water fall called Rivers End.It felt symbolic of how great life had been and now it had all come to an end.
This town was a special place in the world, it was like a magnet for people and creatures who had been used and hung out to dry. Losers from all over the world came south east to Rivers End to just live the rest of their meaningless lives out in piece. So it was a cruel wind of fate that landed Icias here. No ships sailed up the river this far, no bards told stories of heroes here, and no traders ventured this far with anything worth anything more then a few Silvers.
He was approached right away by an old man, hoping he was a trader the man asked what he had to sell. The Bearon sold his armor years ago for food and some extra Silvers, all he had left was his empty coin sack and a heavy heart. The man sighted, 'I was hoping you would have a few ingredients for my medicine...' The Bearon sighed and walked away, he couldn't even help a dying old man. He truly was a loser, trading in his empty coin purse for a single Silver before heading over to the pub to waste it on one last drink...

"How come you always get beers and whines but I can't?"A frustrated navy and fuchsia cat hissed. "Because Tree ghsots shouldn't get drunk."The woman with him replied, taking a swig out of her mug. These two, Kara and Begad, had been traveling for quite a while, with it all starting back in their native land after a vicious troll Spirit beheaded Kara. Despite being beheaded she was still alive, and could possess other headless bodies, though she prefers not to for obvious reasons. Her head was separated from her body when she met Begad, who was willing to give her some help. After a few weeks and meeting an old Troll veteran, Kara managed to get her body back. Unfortunately, the Headsmen is a very sore loser and had been chasing them throughout their travels.
"Still nto fair."Begad grumbled, glaring at the mug of orange juice he had. "Well, suck it up and deal with it."Begad said. Soon Kara noticed Icias entering the pub. Kara blinked, glancing into her mug. "Am I the only one that sees the walking bear?"She asked Begad, indicating Icias. "Nope."Begad replied.

Anna sat in a corner alone. She watched the pub closely and, upon seeing the bear enter, she put her hand on her sword, watching him closely.
"What's a freaking Bear doing in a pub?"Kara asked quietly. "I'unno I'll go ask."Begad said hopping up and going over to Icias. "Oi! Bear! What're ya doing in a Pub? Bears don't drink."Begad said.
Anna closely watched the two speak, still on guard.
"I'm no bear," the Polar Bearon grumbled, two years ago that question would have offended him. Bearon's were larger then Bears, but after the great dragon war in the north their numbers had seriously dwindled. "One honey ale please," the Bearon dropped a Silver piece on the table and moved a chair out of the way. He sat on the floor in fear that his massive blubber would crush the chair.
Icias just put his head down, after his two years of wandering he was no proud warrior anymore but a washed up loser. The ale clunked down on the table and the creature picked it up using both paws to drink the entire glass whole. Letting the metal glass fall to the ground the Bearon realized how quiet it was in the pub. Everyone was staring at him. Most looked afraid or angry as if they wanted him gone, dead, or at least out of this pub. "Fine, have it your way..." The Goliath grumbled, "great hospitality..." And with that the Bearon exited the Bearon exited the bar and took a seat outside leaning on the building but not blocking the door. He was done, ready to just rot away, it was over.

Begad soon poked his head out through the wall beside Icias. Being a Spirit did have its advantages. The Cat Spirit soon phased completely through. "If you ain't a bear than what are ya?"He asked.
His eyes had been closed but he opened one of them slowly, "a Bearon from the northern isles..." His eye closed again and he sighed deeply, the great beast just wanted to be left alone to rot in piece. the sooner this annoying spirit cat girl left the better. "Leave me alone," he finally suggested to her, "leave me to my thoughts." He hadn't been able to find a paying job in over a year. At first it wasn't so hard going from a great noble warrior to a sell sword, a mercenary for hire. but when that ran out he tried his hand at fishing, then so on and so on. Wandering the woods and country side had taken its toll on not only his physical appearance but also his confidence and he didn't think any good work may ever come again. Icias spelled out his name in the dirt with his dull claws, "let me be cat."
Oop: Begad isn't a girl He's a guy
"Cat Spirit"Begad corrected the bearon. "What's wrong?Begad asked, picking up on Icias's depression. "Anything me and my friend might be able to do to help?"The Cat Spirit offered.

The Bearon stood finally after remaining silent for so long, "I don't believe in spirits..." Without anything else to say he simply walked away. Down to the river side he sat by a bridge and looked over into the water, on the other side of the bridge and river he saw the old mans house. The old fella had just walked in and Icias wondered how long the old crock could last without this medicine he couldn't get. He once again stood and made his way over to the old mans house and prepared to knock on the door when he heard whispering from within, he pressed the side of his face to the door softly. Things are going........ she's here.......... princess of a.......... Eastern..........assassins will.....silent...poison... Icias wasn't hearing everything he felt he should be hearing so he looked into the window and heard one last thing, be fore the old man looked up from a cauldron and smiled with the teeth of a sinister grin. Icias watched the old man who had just an hour ago begged for the Bearon's help snapped his fingers and melted away like tar into the cauldron and was gone. With only one question to be asked Icias burst into the house and searched for this old man, but he was gone. "Who is Sterling?"
Begad followed after Icias, soon Kara had left the pub to find the Cat Spirit. "Thsi your place?"Begad asked, walking in after Icias burst in. Begad continued to roam the house, eventually plopping down in a seat, looking around the house.
Oop: I'm gonna wait for Anna to psot
Oop: I'm gonna wait for Anna to psot
Anna stepped out from the shadows. "That would be me, Bearon. I've been following you two for some time now. I do not mean to offend or intrude, I've just had some bad luck with strangers in the past. I believe that old man was one of the assassins I've been looking for. Obviously you, Icias, right, are of good intentions. Though I'm not sure what to think of you," she said turning to Begad and Kara.
The Bearon shrugged, ignoring the cat, "good intentions..?" It seemed funny that he had the exact same good intentions but was still cast out and banished by his own people nearly two years ago. "Yeah," he said at last, "I got the good intention to leave." He had witnessed the dark magic and evil of whoever wanted Sterling dead, and she had been watching so he had no one to warn. "Glad you were here to witness, it means I have no one to warn of this," and once again he turned to leave. "Now if you will all LET ME BE ON MY WAY!" He emphasized for the strange group of misfits that had, to be quite honest, been stalking him for almost the past hour. Icias's stomach growled, and once again he let out a sigh. "But for finding such information for you miss, could you spare a silver or two?"
"Bearon's still eat meat right? If so I got some friends who could help out, completely free of charge."Begad offered. "Is there anything we could do to help with those Assassin guys?"Kara asked Sterling.
Anna replied, "Of course, I can always spare a coin, and I could always use the xtra help in hunting down whoever is trying to kill my. I can't do it alone, will all of you be willing to help?"
"Yeah, sure why not? We ain't got nothing better to do"Begad said accepting Anna's request. "Begad!"Kara said angrily. "Why do you keep volunteering us for stuff?!"Kara asked angrily. "'Cause we ain't got nothing better to do."Begad said. "You wanna come with?"Begad asked Icias. "We could use the muscle you got."He added.
It had been a long while since he had been a fighter. He had a silver, so why continue, why risk his life for a stranger. "I don't think so," Icias sighed, "I'm out of shape and a kill for revenge is a dangerous quest that easily blinds the seeker." He tightened the bandana around his neck and slipped the coin into a small buttoned pocket on the garment. "I do wish you three luck though," turning to the cat and girl, "if you two have anything to spare it could really help me in my travels."
"I think I got some twigs to give ya. Somewhere."Begad said. "Kara what'd you do with my twigs?"Begad asked. "I got rid of them."She rpelied. "WHY?! WE NEEDED THOSE!"Begad yelped. "For the last time, twigs aren't an acceptable form of currency."Kara said, digging some coins out of her coin purse and handing them to Icias. "I hope this'll help out."Kara said.
The bearon nodded, humiliated for being as low as a common beggar. "Thanks, but the Silvers will do just fine. No twigs needed," he tried to give the group a smile but he was tired and dirty. This may pay for a bath but not a room at any lodge or in. Normally he'd actually pay double just because Inn keepers didn't usually allow Bear looking creatures to sleep in warm beds. But a big nice bed right now was exactly what Icias wanted. "Thanks again for your help," he said before heading off into town once more.
