Caleb protected her and comforted her even when she fell asleep. when she was asleep he whispered to her. "Dont worry. Ill be your protector from now on. I wont let any one come close enough to hurt you ever again." little did he know that he was walking by Erica who was curled up at a base of a tree. When caleb got back to their camp he set arc down carefully and stayed next to her as he called wolfina over telling her everything that had happened.

Erica was astonished that caleb would just abandon her like that...no what was she supposed to do. Feeling isolated and lonely she ran as far as she could from the pack. switching between human and wolf to get farther faster.

"WHAT?!" Wolfina said angrily. "HE'S A TRAITOR!!!" "Wolfina what's wrong?" "Tinen tried to kill Arc. "WHAT?! Ok, now I see why you're mad." "He is not welcome here ever again."

Caleb nodded and looked over arc for anymore injuries healing any he found. "Also I have sworn myself to protect arc from now on." he saaid glancing up when he was done.

Meanwhile Tarin had began to fight Tinen and he said "I'm gonna destroy you! You've betrayed Arc!" he rammed his foot at Tinen and swung his sword at him.

"Good, she'll need protection," Wolfina sighed. Sarina sensed something was off, "Wait, where's Erica?" "Caleb you are the only one who would know besides Tarin, but he's not here at the moment, so, where is she?"

Caleb shrugs. "She ran off earlier upset with me. she should be back any moment now." But as the day grew into night Erica did not come back and Caleb's assuring words were fading. caleb didnt even feel nervous. he no longer protected her so why should he care...

Tarin felt something wasn't right he needed to end the fight quickly and he did he fell back and threw dirt into Tinen's eyes and he fled back to camp and he said "Tinen wants to kill arc and I want to know one thing Where the hell is Erica...because I swear if I find out that Tinen want's her dead too I'm gonna kill him or any who dares hurt her!"

Caleb shrugged. "I dont know she ran off after I was done talking to her." He said making no move to leave arc's side.

"Listen Caleb! if I find out that you've hurt Erica in any way You'll have hell to pay!" he threatened and he grabbed his sword and he sheathed it he swung himself onto Shadow-Seeker's back and he said "We've gotta find Erica! Rinde!" he rode off to find Erica he searched for her and he couldn't find her but he didn't give up.

Erica had run many many many miles away nonstop and finally collapsed near a waterfall under a cherry blossom tree. She was crying.

Arc was startled awake by Tarin's yelling, "What happened?"

Caleb shushed her. "Its okay Erica's just missing. She hasn't come back yet." He says.

"Oh ok, why was Tarin yelling?" she asked still shaken up.

Caleb comforted her. "He thinks I hurt her but I know I didn't."

"Ok," Arc sighed. She heard someone laughing and Tinen walked up, "Wow Arc, I never thought you'd be this scared this early in the game." Arc shifted, tail between legs and head lowered, she wasn't scared, she was terrified.

Caleb growled standing in front of her like tinen did before but the difference was that caleb meant it. "You dare come any closer and I will kill you." he said positioning himself in a fighting stance glancing at wolfina and sarina.

"TINEN GET AWAY FROM HERE NOW!!!" Wolfina told him firmly. When he didn't she looked at Caleb, "End him."

Caleb shifted and tackled tinen to the ground his fangs glistening inches from tinens face.

"Arc look away," Sarina told Arc watching as Arc looked away.
