Zach gasped as he woke, breathing heavy and deep. His heart raced like he'd been running a marathon and the sheets of the bed stuck to him from his sweating. Zachary threw his feet over the edge of his bed and stared at the floor "Why now?..." he said to himself panting. The sun broke the veil of darkness as it crept over the horizon, it shun into his room through his wide open window. The city was oddly quiet but it bothered him none.

He took a long cold shower, clearing his head of the memories he thought he'd buried years ago, it was a dark time in his life and he had made choices that cost him someone who was once close to him. Now, Zach and that person are fighting for two different purposes, both of which collide very frequently.

Zach got dressed into a white sleeveless hoodie, black denim skinnies and dark blue ad white accented converse high tops. just as h finished up, there was a knock on the door. Zach picked up his katana and approached the door with caution. Resting his left hand on the door knob, he peeped through the peep hole. no one was there. Zach slowly opened up the door and looked around. Not a trace of life. All that caught his eye was a letter by his feet.

Zach shut the door behind him and opened up the letter, his eyes widened "... Child of darkness, Play your part..." was written in blood on the letter. "not now..." Zach felt heavy, his bones were aching, it was the ward that was etched into them. A symbol appeared on his right hand from flames. it was the Devil symbol of blood...

"Dang it, Apollo." Ellipse hissed in pain as she rushed into a random building. She had been caught off guard by the time and she was no where near her house.

Despite being born nearly 2,506 years ago, she looked barely twenty years old. Her platinum blonde hair fell gracefully to her curvy hips, soft curls teased in the length. Her startling blue eyes made people passing her to get inside nervous of her but she didn't seem to mind.

She wore a black, long-sleeved shirt that fit her toned, muscled body. Covered by a normal, black jacket, her outfit was complete with black pants and black sneakers.

She sighed, wishing she had teleportation like the other Dark-Hunters. Her main abilities were to fly and to turn invisible for a short amount of time.

The Spartan dodged the sunlight coming out of the windows and sat down in a chair, letting herself heal the burns hidden by her hair. She sent a prayer to the gods she followed as she sat there.

Zachary stumbled around his room, he tried to catch his balance but he felt like a ton of bricks. Zach's eyes rolled up into the back of his head and and his body started to shake violently, he was having a fit.

He fell to the floor still shaking, charring the wooden floor from the heat he produced unwillingly. Eventually he stopped, his eyes returned to normal but there were golden freckles in his blue irises. He gasped, clawing his nails into the floor boards from an unbearable pain in his back. When the pain subsided, Zach fainted for half minute. The building began to shake, it was the same building ellipse was in.

The light of the sun was replaced with an orange glow, the streets distorted and the cameras grew in size "Limbo..." Zachary said to himself, Limbo was the place where monsters secretly dwelled. A place In between reality and insanity. When monsters hid, they'd travel into the veil, Limbo. Limbo was a alternate world, a warped world similar to the real one but no human was ever able to get there, no human ever knew of its existence.

Zach grabbed his sheath and katana, his revolver and phone. If there was a way out, he'd need his phone. He approached his door, reaching out for the door knob, he took a deep breath, Zach knew just what was going to happen, Limbo was a place he visited twice before. He mustered up all his might and opened up his door, only to step into an upside down hallway.

Everything in Limbo looked like a bad acid trip

Ellipse sensed something happening and stood right when the world changed to Limbo. As soon as it changed, she stumbled and fell to her knees, wings bursting from her back. They were large, feathered and black at the top and white at the bottom.

She growled and folded them tightly against her back, stripping her jacket off so they wouldn't cramp. She looked around and stood.

She had never been to Limbo but she knew what it was. Especially when she could stand it the light and not burn or catch on fire.

The twin, female demon tattoos shifted across her body, making Ellipse shiver as her bonded allies settled down. She ran her hand over the black-skinned demoness, sensing her uneasiness.

Zach held his sheathed katana as he traversed the hall way. It was completely upside down and the more he traversed the more it felt like he was walking on the spot. The corridor seemed to stretch as he got half way down it. There was a single door on the right side of the corridor with claw marks scratched across it. He passed it... Several times... Zach stopped he wasn't getting anywhere, not going to get down this corridor at least. Zach reached up to the door knob and opened up the claw marked door, the room was pitch black and there was a slight breeze coming from it.

As soon as he stepped in the door slammed shut behind him. Zachary's head shot around quickly to look at the door, A single spotlight shined down into the center of the room. there was nothing in the room, not even a wall. there was just a door behind him, darkness all around and just a single spotlight shining down onto the empty floorboards "I hate Limbo..." Zach said to himself taking cautious steps into the spotlight. He waited there, looking around the empty... place... and the floor shifted underneath him, and again, and again. The floor boards started to animate and moved like snakes, opening up a hole underneath his feet. Zach fell through, falling into darkness for what felt like an hour.

The ceiling of the lobby opened up, Ellipse was there and must have noticed because Zach landed on his back right besides her feet "Oh... fuuuuh...." he groaned holding his torso.

"Me tous theoús!" She jumped, her tongue slipping to the ancient Greek she once used long ago. Her wings shifted as she stared at him. She moved away slightly, not knowing him but sensing something about him.

She took a deep breath." Are you okay?" She said in English, keeping her tone calm and soft, not wanting to scare him or make him feel the need to attack her. She felt the red-skinned demoness resting over her stomach tense as if ready to attack. She swallowed, hoping the demoness wouldn't attack.

She kept herself calm and collected, hiding her nervousness and the rest of her negative emotions.

Zach groaned, dropping his arms to his side "am i alright?..." he looked at her, laying there. He cocked a brow "Apart from falling through the ceiling" he sat up and blew his bangs from his eyes "And being stuck in this shit hole?" hegot up onto his feet and brushed his clothes "I'm fine, but have the problem of being in Limbo..." he said pointing at the outside world. "Wait... why are you in Limbo?" He said looking at her puzzled

She paled slightly and rubbed her right arm where the black demoness rested." Well obviously I'm not human." She looked at him and sensed the wards around him." I'm not a demon either. Kinda hard to explain."

She met his eyes with her unnatural blue ones. She wasn't scared but she was a bit..careful around him. She never trusted anyone she didn't know." Besides, I should ask you the same question." She said, keeping her voice calm.

"i'm not human, that's why i'm here" Zachary looked her up and down, she didn't look like much, Limbo would eat her up whole, regardless of her immortality "If you want to get out of Limbo, Then keep up" he said kicking out the front door glass pane. The window shattered but the pieces began to float in mid air, really slowly. They were slow enough to look like they were still.

Zach walked out into the street, he looked left then right. The left side of the street warped into a black hole, the right side of the street was warped with the houses bending over the street, cars floating in the air and cctv camera's the size of animals. The camera's looked the creepiest, their wired necks animated so they can look around corners and pull themselves from the wall to look at Zach "We need to go down this road, it's riddled with creeps, can you fight?" he asked Ellipse "Cuz i can't carry you through this if you can't, they will pour in none stop"

She followed then glared at him when he said he wouldn't fight for her." Do I look stupid? I was born and raised Spartan!" She growled. Swords appeared on her waist, one black and one red." I've trained and fought things scarier than you could comprehend." Including a eleven-foot tall, ticked-off god but she kept that to herself.

"I can take a lot. It my be my first time in Limbo but I am not afraid." She let it show that she was a tiny bit irritated but she kept her nonchalant posture. She didn't want to lose her calmness. It usually ended badly whenever she lost it.

"Good, but Limbo isn't just filled with nasties, here, even physics and all logical theories are wrong" in Limbo, nothing is right and Zach knew, there was one way out, it's at the end of the street.

Zachary removed his phone and held it up as if looking for reception. He took two steps in frontier him and there was a flicker of the first bar. It would come but go fast. He was right but, whatever brought them to Limbo isn't going to let them escape without a fight.

"..." Zach gritted his teeth, his eyes shut from a burning sensation on his back. He had to bare with it, it wasn't priority. "Come, let's go" Zachary said charging down the road, a camera spotted him, a light on the camera head started flashing red.

Windows shattered around him andloud poured the first wave, ghouls. A humanoid lesser demon form that fought and killed to satiate their bloodlust. Zach shifted on his feet, and ghouls lunged at him swinging its deformed claws in a frenzy to hit him. Zachary brought his katanas sheth back and waited for the ghoul to pass. He brought the sheath down on the ghoul and killed it upon impact, not needing to draw gas blade.

Zach rid of the first few easily, dodging and weaving like it was a form of dance.

She watched him run and rolled her eyes." They always rush ahead without thinking nowadays." She mumbled to herself before quickly following. She draw her swords, revealing the jagged edges that looked like shark teeth.

She struck many down, the blades slicing through their bodies with whistles as they cut through the air. Her movements were more soldier-like but just as graceful. She could tell he was trained in a more polite way that she was.

They ground rippled beneath her feet as if wanting her to trip but she opened her wings, floating just above the ground. Feathers fell from her wings, turning to ash once they touched the ground below.

Zach hadn't drawn his blade at all, the katana was chained around the hilt and sheath. The word Fire was Inscribed onto the hilt of the blade. He was able to kill them without drawing his blade, his sheath was covered in ghoul blood. Zach stopped after the first block of houses.

His senses picked up something big, a gate keeper most likely. An axe, large enough to cut a car in half came hurdling towards Ellise. Zachary grabbed her hand and pulled her towards him, spinning her around as he did so "Watch out, wouldn't want you dying in Limbo" he said with a smile looking down at her. He let her go and brushed his hoodie. The ground started to shake eevery few seconds, like heavy feet stomping on the floor.

Zach looked around when the shaking stopped, no one was there. He didn't have time to investigate. Another wave was approaching and this time they were ghoul spitters. Their spit was as corrosive as acid and as toxic as radiated waste. Spit came from every direction and Zach was dodging as much as he can. He drew his revolver and took down as many as he could. Zachary felt the burning in his back grow. Something in hus back caused his hoodie to bulge out. The bulge grew until his hoodie could't take anymore of the force. A Singular wing shot through his hoodie and flapped once, causing him to jump high. He couldn't fly though, he only had one. It was a beautiful white and shaped like an eagle's wing. It stretched far and wide. Zach used his height advaantage to shoot down some of the Ghouls that stood upon the roofs.

Ellipse watched him as she dodged the spit. There were a lot more demons this time and they were more dangerous. She growled." Acheron is gonna kill me." She took a deep breath, spread her wings, and began to spin quickly.

As she spun quicker and quicker, a tornado began to form around her. It sucked up anything that came close but Zach would be protected from it. Two female demons came out of the hurricane, a black-skinned and a red-skinned.

Both clad in red and grey armor, they began to throw fire at the ghoul spitters. After a few moments, Ellipse was thrown from the hurricane, skidding across the ground she was covered in burns and scrapes. Some of the spit hit her so she had to get out. The tornado vanished, not having anything to keep it going.

Ellipse got to her hands and knees, wobbly and hurt all over. The demonesses did their best to keep the spit and spitters away from Ellipse.

Zach landed and quickly wtapped his hand around her waist, her hands now on is shoulders "Here, i gotcha" he smiled,his wing flapped once and both of them were out of he cross fire in a second. They landed in a very small ally way. The walls were covered in blood and the floor was soaked in rain water "You okay?"

Ellipse winced at the movement but didn't cry out. The demonesses kept the spitters away from the alleyway so Ellipse could recover. Ellipse gently pulled away from Zach and stumbled to a wall to hold herself up by her hands, not minding the blood.

"I'll be okay. Just give me a moment." She shuddered as the wounds began to scab and heal slowly." I hate being a Dark-Hunter.." She growled lowly. She bared her teeth against the pain, revealing the shark-like teeth she possessed. She would have passed out by now from exhaustion but she forced herself to stop leaning against the wall, taking a few stumbling steps backwards.

"it's cool, take a breath" he said looking at her, kneeling down and inspecting the wound "i wish i healed like that" he said with a chuckle running his thumb down the area hat just healed. He stood up and looked around, there were no cameras here so they were good for a few minutes. "Your femme fatals up there are destroying the spitters" he said Kinda Awed by the amount of whoop ass they dished out "You're a what now?"

"A Dak-Hunter. Pretty much a damned servant of Artemis. We sell our soul for revenge with the price of becoming an immortal warrior that hunts the darkness like demons." She blushed slightly when he touched her side, backing up a step. She wasn't used to people touching her or the other way around.

"Those are my bonded demons. Trust me, you don't want anything like them. Its kinda painful when they rip themselves off of you're skin." She rubbed her arms. She let out a sigh as the last wound healed.

"I already have my own demons to worry about..." He replied, a little distant. He snapped back and realised that the demons were taken care of "Alright, this is a better chance than we'll ever get, Last stretch of road" he could just make out the ripple at the end of the road, it was a tear in this world that opens up into a portal once the portal guardian is destroyed.

Zachary motioned for her to follow, he jogged down the road but stopped when the floor began to shake, it was the portal guardian. A large demon, deformed and broken in many ways. It's limbs were bent in directions that were unatural, its eyes drooped down its face. Layers of fat lay upon one another with dried blood on its skin.

Zach was on the verge of throwing up, he looked up at the monstrosity with a disgusted look "Alright you ugly bastard, let's party" Zach said bringing his his sheathed blade up in defense, the monster swund its axe at him but Zach's sheathed blade deflected it, causing the huge axe to fall and crash next to him "attack now, we need to weaken it. Don't kill it, I need its soul"

Ellipse stared at the demon, disgusted by it. She was even more disgusted by the demon than by Apollo. She called her demons back to her, the demonesses turning into shadow and becoming tattoos on her skin. Taking a deep breath, she let loose slices of wind from her fingertips. She then winced and floated in the air. She may be able to use magic but it cost her energy.

"I cannot do much! That tornado took a lot out of me." She said as she crouched on the ground and grabbed it, flapping her winds to drive the demon back with a wind storm. She cringed as her hand began to bruise and hurt. She hated that she had a price to pay to just command the wind.
