The figure hears him and looks at him, blood around its mouth. It said nothing, but four wings on its back were spread...This..Figure had fur...As big as a huge wolf, only it had dragon features. Claws on its front feet were in the deer. ''Grrr...Thiirrss...Iss...Miinee...'' It hissed, teeth bared.
He stepped back a step. "Umm... Okay. Sure, no problem." What was this thing? He felt waves of dark energy pulcing off this guy.
The weird wolf thing growls harshly, ad goes nack to eating. Its left hind leg aws dribbling blood loosly, white bone glistening.
He looks at the wound. "No. I am not touching it." He turns and starts towards the most promising area for a cave. The Volcano in the distance. Hot, but not uncomfortable.
The wolf finishes eating, then vanishes into the night. The volcano was lit up brightly, lava glowing within, fire burning on a boulder bridge, leaning dangeously left leading to the cave.
The trail was charred, ash filling the sky. Immense heat hit Ani. Ani had entered the Volcanic land, a hot land where life struggled to exist.
He grunts, runes pulcing over his bocy for a moment then dissapearing. "That's better." He mumbles. He keeps going towards the volcano.
He soon arrives at the old entrance, but lava was rushing inside. It only could be flown into, for its paths inside were long gone.
He sighs. Flying was one thing, but this much could kill a dragon, no matter how healthy. "May as well..." He opens his wings and takes flight into the tunnel.
As he flew upwards, a small fire dragon was seen walking over bits of the path where lava was scarce. It was colored enough to blend in, and seemed greatly unphased at the hot air.
He passes over the dragon without seeing her, only focussing on the safety of the cave. And a place to rest out of the weather.
Coming into view was the top of the volcano, a ridge where Niraia was still asleep. And some cooled water.
He looks around for any other caves. He didn't want to disturb a dragonelle. She might not be alone up there...
There was another cave close by, but it had no open back wall. It had been created from dry air, and the lack of lava rushing inside.
He flies over to the cave and sits down, streaching. What he wouldn't give for a hotspring right now! His muscles need it badly.
Niraia snores loudly, blowing steam from her nose. Thee was a tiny pool of hot water where Ani was at, only a llttle though.
He looks at it. Eh, it wasn't a hotspring, but it'll still work. He goes over to it and starts cleaning himself in it.
The water was warm from the volcano, steaming slightly.
