Bender Of Iron Will sat in the tavern known as 'The Crazed Piglet.' Despite the name, it was a pretty gloomy and tranquil little tavern in an equally gloomy and tranquil harbour. Costa Calvare was not large, nor was it very popular. It was a safe haven for criminals, mainly, and unlike the places like Giantsport, it caused Costa Calvare to get much less attention from any honest folks, meaning it was not much of a target for pirates to bring their haul. It was however, a great pit stop from constantly sailing the ocean. After a few months of sailing any alcohol on dry land, no matter how watered down, taste good.
Bender sat on a particularly dark corner, drinking a glass of watered down ale as he read a pair of papers. One was a wanted poster showing a man with a thick bushy grey beard, pointy nose and overall nasty look. Captain Aurus Conniver, a pirate of the worst kind; a murderer, predator of women, thief and pyromaniac to boot. He had an exceptionally high price on his head. Conniver's head was worth a whopping ten thousand gold pieces. Fifteen thousand if his ship, Flying Squid, would be tugged along as well.
The second paper was a homemade map of the western front of the Principalities, the collective name of the world Bender sailed. It showed many ports and areas marked with an 'x'. It showed where Aurus Conniver had sailed before and the old man was trying to find a pattern where he might set sail to next. The Principalities were the safest haven for one as Conniver to hide, after all. Many islands, some habited by pirates and others not habited at all, he could easily find both a hiding spot as well as allies.

A loud group of men came inside the tavern, followed by a woman with a big mouth. She laughed at a joke that was made before the door was opened. Her hand gave a hard push against the bigger pirates shoulder, making him walk into the door post. That again made everyone laugh hysterically. "For us the most expensive bottle o-" The young lady overlooked the tavern and got quiet. "Well, what kind of pathetic bar is this? A regular bottle of wiskey will do I guess." She shook her head and walked towards one of the bigger tables. She waited to sit until the guys were there and before one of the pirates sat down, she pulled away his chair. A loud thump followed by another wave of hysterical laughter filled the quiet tavern.
The wild and loud woman, accompanied by all of the men was Alexis Leroux also called Red Alex. They called her that because of her red hair and her big mouth that always managed to get blood spilling. Ofcourse, never her blood. Even though she wasn't feared, she was known for her wild and big mouth and the men on the ship respected her. For good reason, she was very skilled with a sword. As only female on board of Ill Prosperity, she needed to defend her worth.

Bender Of Iron Will looked up from his papers at the troupe of loud mouthed pirates entering the tavern and rolled his eye before turning back to his papers. He was about to mingle with those types. For some reason Bender didn't get along well with other pirates. Call it being an old fart, but he preferred the tranquillity these days, and pirates weren't exactly the quietest sort.
The bartender, a skinny man with a bushy beard and an eyepatch nodded towards Red Alex as he grabbed a bottle from underneath the counter. It was a bottle of clearly watered down whiskey, but it didn't seem like the man was afraid to serve such broth to a band of rowdy pirates."That'll be four silvers." He said after handing over the bottle.

Without looking she handed the man 4 silvers. Yeah, the wiskey would taste awful but alcohol was alcohol, no matter how awful. Alex raised the bottle and got up from the table. With one foot resting on her chair, she started a speech. "This is it boys! Now we go for the big fish! Once we find Aurus and hand him over, We'll be rich!" Quickly she poured the wiskey in the cups, spilling more than actually pouring in the cups but caring wasn't one of her strong suits.
All of the men cheered and got up from their seat aswel. They raised their cup and started chanting her name. "Red, Red, Red!" After, you could hear a thump noise from the cups hitting each other and another cheer. They sat down and so did she. When seated, she got her game face on. "This is going to be a tough one. Well have to be even sneakier but with the help of the girls here..." She said pointing at her 2 biggest talents. "...no way we can fail!"

Bender overheard the speech. How could he not? The bloody woman was loud as all hell! However, at the end of it Bender laughed. Loudly. He laughed his obnoxious laugh and even smacked the table with that mechanical arm of his."Ya can't be serious!" He cried out."Ye? Take down Aurus with yer "girls" as ya call 'em? Bloody hell, woman. Aurus'll eat yer kind alive! Take 'n old man's advise, lass. Stay home. Ye'll live longer." He said, sounding much more serious now.
Good job, Bender. Go and challenge a hothead like Alexis. That will end well for you.

Alex slowly turned her head to the man who dared to speak to her like that. She stood up with a devious smile and walked towards him. "Oh really?" She asked softly, her eyes narrowed as she turned the chair around and sat on it backwards. Now it wasn't wise to challenge her, she never said no and 9 out of ten times she succeeded because she was just that stubborn. "My kind huh?" She couldn't help but laugh at his ignorance. The truth was, she was really good at her job. Yeah, Aurus was one of the tougher ones and she would have to work even harder but nothing that she hadn't done before. "Please tell me what you mean with 'My Kind', oh-so-great-pirate?" Her tone was dripping with sarcasm and her eyes glincened with joy. She loved the fact that she was a girl in this business. It meant that she could proof men even more wrong. That was one of her favorite things to do, when she saw the suprised faces, the way their mouths fell open when she did something they deemed her to weak to do.
Bender couldn't help but grin at her reaction."Yer kind, lass, is the kind o' folk who think the world spins 'round just fer them. Yer kind's so used to gettin' everythin' done they can't handle failure. Yer kind's got their head jammed so far up their own behind they can't see what's comin' straight for 'em. How long've you been sailin' the sea? A year? A couple o' 'em maybe? Five years tops. Ye've seen nothin'. Ye've seen crumbs o' bread bein' thrown to the gulls, 'n ya think it was worth yer praise. Yer kind has never had ta make any hard descisions. THAT is what Cap'n Oh-So-Great-Pirate means." He explained coldly as he spat to the ground.
"Yer a bloody runt on a piece o' wood thinkin' she can play with the big leaguers. Gods do I despise yer kind." He added before finishing his rum.

Alex' smile didn't disappear. She got up from her chair and she leaned on the table with her right hand. "Look here, ya judmental fart. You have no idea what I've seen or what I've been through. But I guess you already made your mind about me so I'll leave it to that. Have a pleasant day or not, not like I care." She walked away and got back to her table to drink some more. When getting to the table she acted like nothing was wrong. But in truth, she only wanted to catch Aurus even more, just to show the old fart what she was capable of.
She decided that she couldn't waste any time. "Come on guys, lets get to work. We have a big fish to catch and alot of fishers to proof wrong." As she said that she walked passed the table of the old fart and she saluted him, sarcastically ofcourse and with a big fake smile.

Bender was furious!"Fart!?" He repeated loudly."I'm a bloody fart? Fine, I'll make sure ta stain yer trousers ya bloody runt!" He yelled as he too walked out of the bar with his papers.
On the way to the ship he came across a large Orc with fancy clothes. Too fancy to be a mere sailor but more of a noble."Hooke!" Bender yelled. The Orc turned around, waving his large feathered hat in front of his ugly face."What is it, Cap'n? Are we finally leaving this cesspool?" Bender nodded."Aye, gather the folks 'round! We're settin' sail. We've got a runt to show up!" Hooke seemed confused, but he wasn't about to ignore the captain's orders. It wouldn't be the first time that in a fit of rage Bender left behind sailors in port.
About ten minutes later Bender reached the gigantic Elemental Ship that was Zephyr's Bane. it towered above most other ships. It was hard to believe this thing was fast."Lower the sails, me hearties! 'N keep an eye out fer any red headed lass with a punchable face! I'll show her who's a fart." He grumbled, looking over the harbour to see which ships were sailing out.

Alexis wasn't a stupid girl and she knew that she couldn't just set sail and expect Aurus to pop up somewhere. It would be to difficult chasing him. So what did you do if you can't get to your prey? You let your prey come to you. And how did she think to do so? By giving a message to the nearest drunk on the Island. It didn't even have to be mean or bad, once it went around, it would spread like fire and eventually get bigger than when it started. And thats what she counted on. Ofcourse, the rumor that was spread would be signed by a certain Alex and in this world, everyone would automatically assume it was a man. Again, this would only be in her favor.
She went aboard Ill Prosperity, the ship she had inherited from her father. Ofcourse noone knew she owned it. In a world where men had everything to say, a woman couldn't be the owner and captain of a ship. That is where Roger, her fathers right hand, came in the story. Everybody had assumed he'd gotten the ship anyway so she asked him to be her beard and he accepted with pleasure. Not even the crew knew, they were told that the former Captains daughter was going to join them and anyone who didn't listen would have to answer to Roger. And with that, they all respected her like she was the boss. That and the fact that they all admired her skill for bounty hunting.
Once aboard the ship, Roger set sail for Haven. Alex' home town, well as much as she could call it a home. She was born at sea, literally and had been on land about as much as 2 weeks in her entire life. That all changed after her father died. She discovered that in Haven, she still had a lot of family like an uncle who apparently was also a very known pirate. Thank god that they both got along very much because he was the only one besides Roger who she could trust, the only one besides Roger who didn't threat her like she was less because she was a woman.

It took weeks for sure, but the rumour spread. The rumour took on different sizes and shapes, but it was enough to eventually lure the catch of the day into Haven. The Flying Squid, a large dark brown frigate with red sails, entered the port, and out walked Captain Aurus Conniver. He looked very scummy with his thick black moustache, long white curled wig and yellow outfit. He didn't look quite so dangerous, but looks could deceive.
It had worked. The fish was caught in the net, BUT, another ship had made port in Haven as well. Zephyr's Bane followed the track of Flying Squid only to port in the same harbour. Predators had come into Alexis' net, most of them belonging to Bender Of Iron Will, who had been sailing around, tracking the pirate down.

Alex had been staying on shore for those weeks, waiting for a message or sign that Aurus was gonna come and look for her. As it was after noone, Alex was sitting in her favorite tavern, drinking and partying like the people were already used to by now. She had a contagious kind of energy which seemed make the owner very happy, since she brought most of the customers in.
Alex was standing on a chair and throwing her arms around while one of the pirates played music when one of the crew guys came towards her with a serious face. She immediatly came of the chair and excused herself because she already knew what that meant. But then, she heard that another ship had arrived, making Haven very busy, not like the little town was used to. Alex got worried because bringing in trouble into town wasn't her goal. Especially when she heard who the second ship belonged to. "Darnit, this wasn't planned." She said a bit worried but she took a deep breathe and relaxed. "Well, we will just have to find a solution. No worries." And as she said that, she got a very devious look in her eyes. "Oh, this will be fun.."
"Go get Sidney. I'm sure that the old fart and my uncle will have lots to talk about while I handle Aurus." She said and she walked out, went straight home and started getting ready for that night. It was time for Alex to become Alexis for one night.

Bender and his crew walked off of Zephyr's Bane. Trailing behind him was the Drow known as Ambras. The dark Elf, keeping most of his face hidden behind a white scarf held his hands on his twin curved blades."Lads, I want all o' ya ta watch Aurus' ship. We're not lettin' this bastard run again. Ambras 'n I will go 'n look fer Aurus. I'm pretty sure I know where he's headed if the rumour's to be trusted. Who'd be so dumb as to challenge 'im anyway?" He asked out loud as he walked."The Blue Gnomes must be behind this." Ambras muttered. Bender rolled his eyes."'Tis always somethin' with ya, innit? It's never a complete nutcase, it's some sort o' long lost race o' clever bein's with ya." Ambras just remained quiet as he followed his captain.
Meanwhile Aurus and his parade of pirates walked into Alexis' tavern. The enjoyable mood was gone in an instant as Aurus opened the door and walked inside, armed to the teeth.
"Where is this cur who dares insult my honour?" Aurus demanded to know. He sounded very stern and serious. Not a man to be messed with in the slightest.

At the bar, four men were sitting and drinking. Umong them Sidney, Alex' uncle. He was talking to the guy next to him when he looked up at Bender. He knew immediatly that it was the one he had to distract until she was done with Aurus.
Meanwhile, Alex was waiting for Aurus. She had gone all the way and put on a dress. God, did that make her feel uncomfortable. But she couldn't think about that now. It was acting time. She had been waiting forever when finally a knock was heard on the door. When she opened, Aurus stood on the other end. Before he could say anything, she leaned against the door post with grace and batted her eyelashes. "Yes, how can I help you?"

The conniving gentleman looked around until his eyes locked with Alex."You?" He asked in an amusing tone."A stupid little girl? I don't believe it. Where is your husband. Does he hide behind his own wife for protection? Pathetic!" He said as he drew his gun."Maybe I should take you with me. Wouldn't that teach him a message?" He smirked as his crew drew their clubs and sabers.
As soon as Bender entered the tavern, he saw Aurus' crew everywhere."We're 'ere, Ambras. Get ready." The Drow nodded, keeping his hands on his belt as Bender walked towards the end of the tavern.

Alex smiled and pushed her hair back with her right hand. "I don't have a husband, actually. And I'm sure, once you get to know me, you won't think I'm a stupid girl". She walked closer to Aurus and put one hand on his arm. "I'm sure we can work something out, can't we? Besides, I'm your biggest fan." She winked and squeezed his bicep. "Wow, being a pirate really suits you well." She couldn't hate herself more, right now. Ugh, what a sell out, thank God it was only an act.
When Bender walked in she cursed softly but she took protection in Aurus. "Oh no, there he is again. He can't stop following me around." She grabbed on to Aurus and looked terrified.

Aurus let the woman swoon all over her. He couldn't help but grin his crooked teeth."Biggest fan, hmm? You clearly have no idea what I do to pretty little lasses such as yourself. But don't you worry, you'll soon find out."
Aurus looked over at Bender, his eyes narrowed."You!" He suddenly yelled."Me." Bender replied coldly. One of Aurus' pirates suddenly drew his sword and stood in front of Bender."Not a step clo-"
Bender's mechanical arm suddenly swiped past the pirate, causing the man to fly into a nearby table, causing it to break under the pirate's weight who possibly had a lot of broken bones. Bender was mad. Very mad! His eyes spat murder as he kept walking towards Aurus.
The bounty would then draw his gun and aim it towards the old man, using Alex as a shield."Now!" Bender yelled, and from the shadows appeared Ambras, a knife in his hand. Aurus looked over his shoulder. He didn't even see the blade entering his gun hand, which made him scream loudly in pain, dropping his pistol. Before Ambras could slice his neck however, Aurus' crew would all jump Ambras, leaving him occupied. But that didn't matter.
Like a bull did Bender charge towards the wigged man and his hostage. He threw all his weight on him, causing the three of them to stagger away, through the back door where they would then land on the floorboards. Aurus was forced to drop Alex from his iron grip. The man was faster than he seemed. Before Bender could get up, Aurus would punch him square on the nose! This caused the old man to reel back, giving Aurus the chance to kick him in his kidney. Bender fell down next to where Aurus was, who suddenly jumped up, holding his bleeding hand as he ordered his soldiers to leave the tavern and head for the ship!

Alex saw her plan crash down and she needed to fix it. She wasn't gonna let Aurus get away so she ran after him. She gave Sydney a sign to intervene and everyone in the tavern stood up, surrounding Benders crew making sure they couldn't follow her. A lot of tough looking pirates stood up but also the regulars were ready to fight if it ever came to that. Alex didn't have eyes for him anymore, she could only think of Aurus and the bounty that was on his head. She had told her own crew to wreck Aurus' ship just enough so that he couldn't actually go anywhere. Ofcourse he would get there way too soon.
Alex ran after Aurus and grabbed his arm. "Oh no, you aren't going anywhere." She said as she took of her huge and uncomfortable skirt. Under neat she was still wearing her pirate pants just incase something like this would happen or if she would have to run from anyone. You never knew, right? "I'm not going to let you go, not now."

Sadly Alex' crew would soon realize that Bender's pirates were no pushovers. They were not about to let Aurus go either, and those who would want to stop them would have to fight for their lives in order to do so! However, Alex' crew managed to buy a lot of time because of this.
Aurus looked surprised when he got caught and snarled at the woman."I will skin you alive like the others who were stupid enough to cross me, runt." After that gunshots were heard. They came from Aurus' ship and were aimed for Alex. She would be forced to let go, which gave Aurus a chance to board his ship. Bender quickly joined the scene.
"NO!" He yelled."You stupid little girl! Why didn' ya let me kill 'im?!" He yelled at her."Ya want the money that bad! Ya can 'ave it! Once I get 'is 'ead! Bastard killed one o' me crew. I ain't restin' 'till he's dead, 'n ya best stop gettin' in me way." He said, seething with anger.

When she heard the gunshots, she quickly dove away. Pissed off and ready to go full Red, she wanted to chase him but Bender started nagging her and she rolled her eyes. "Listen here, you old sexist man. I don't care about the money. I want to filet him with my bare hands and then hand him over to other sexist pigs like you and make their mouths fall open. You understand me?" She had enough of his rudeness and wasn't going to take it anymore. At this moment her cool was gone and she needed to save what was left of her mission.
Instead of waiting for an answer, she quickly ran towards the ship. Her men were still on board, she needed to go help them. By the time that she got there, Aurus had already tossed the ropes and started to set sail but she wasn't going to let that stop her. She ran like she had never ran before and took a big jump, barely making it on board. She landed on her side and rolled a couple of feet further. She got up and she saw her men fighting with Aurus' men. "This isn't according to plan and I don't like it." Her voice was sharp and you could see how pissed of she was when she punched the first guy she saw in the throat and then took his sword.
