The Derelict, a massive space transport suited to carry up to 150,000 passengers with over 30 pilots. You are a passenger on this ship, currently holding approximately 80,000 people. The ship is going to Xesos in the Albatross system. Xesos is home to many attractions, the Universal Science Academy, the Alliance Military Institute, and ATOMIC (Advanced Tactical Organic Machine Industrial Complex) being a few. As you travel, you hear an alert on the intercom. The co-pilot says, "There's some obstacles ahead, we'll need to come out of FTL (Faster Than Light) Flight for a few moments to avoid the debris, we'll have a slight delay of about ten minutes, sorry for the inconvenience." The intercom then disconnects. Several passengers secure their safety belts. The flight attendants check all of the passenger's safety belts and each com to the pilots to tell them so. A warning light flashes and suddenly, the ship comes out of FTL flight. The asteroid field ahead was small, but still an obstacle, no real task for an experienced pilot. About halfway through the debris field, the ship was rocked by blaster fire! The engines were disabled and the ship stopped, dead in space. There was silence for a few moments, then the clattering of another ship connecting it's boarding ramp to the airlock. Several heavy thuds, followed by footsteps hit the metal ground before several pirates broke down each passenger section door with guns shouting things like, "On the floor," and "We're taking this ship!" You rush to the floor as commanded and then...
Saraxx hissed in anger. Her comm feathers splayed out. She had half a mind to get up and take as many of these Space Pirates out as she could, after all she could certainly take a hit, cause plenty of damage, and even blind someone with a well aimed glob of stomach acids. However she decided it would be smarter to just do as instructed. Atleast until she could get her hands on a gun of some sort.
The pirates continued flashing there guns around. There was some gunfire in one of the rooms beyond and some of the pirates turned to that direction. Just then, a flash temporarily blinded all of the inhabitants of the civilian level. The thumping of combat boots could be heard. After several brief moments of gunfire, the light died down and several pirates and many more Alliance troopers lay dead, their firearms strewn across the floor.
Saraxx noticed a gun infront of her. She glanced around the ship to see if there were any pirates left.
A few of the pirates remained, however most were wounded from the battle.
Saraxx would've grinned had her species used facial expressions. She wouldn't even need a gun to finish these guys off. Her hand crept over a nearby by gun, and quickly pulled it over to her. Once she figured out how to hold it she stood up, towering over the remaining pirates.
The pirates turned towards her, pointing their guns shakily at her. The one in the front said, "Sta- Stay there!" fearfully.
Saraxx's comm feathers flared as she gave out a hiss. She gagged and gurgled, before launching a glob of stomach acids at the pirate, hitting him right in the face, and splashing another near by pirate with the goo. After launching out her distraction She opened fire on the Pirates.
The pirates didn't stand a chance. After the distraction, and being riddled full of laser burns, they all lay dead on the floor. Several of the passengers cheered and a few grabbed some weapons. There were sounds of boots and yelling in the room beyond, getting louder with each passing second.
Saraxx approached the doors, still holding her gun. She pressed the button to open the door and waited for what was on the other side.
Several armed alliance policemen were fighting the space pirates, but they were losing, badly. Many lay dead or wounded on the floor. Some of the pirates turned towards Saraxx and roared a battle cry.
Saraxx hissed, launching a glob of her stomach acids at the pirates, before shooting at them.
There was a flurry of combat, but soon the pirates were dead. The few remaining Alliance Officers thanked Saraxx and continued toward the bridge.
Saraxx watched the police leave, before following after them.
Combat after combat, wave of pirates after the next, Saraxx proceeded toward the bridge. Soon, the bridge door could be seen through almost twenty pirates and their captain. They had not yet noticed Saraxx or the soldiers.
Saraxx glanced at the soldiers, waiting for their move. She was running low on her acid globs, which would keep her from eating for a while as well.
The soldiers slowly moved up to the bridge door. They set a silent charge, which fried the door lock. The soldier in command held up three fingers, counting down silently.
Saraxx waited for the count down to stop before firing.
