While going through some old stuff from a late family member you come across an odd pendent. After touching it you are transported to a world you didn't even know existed. How will things turn out for you, and how will you get home?

Erika rummaged through the boxes in her grandmother's attic. She died last spring, and since her grandfather is becoming too old to take care of himself, he has to sell the house and told Erika that she could have whatever she wished to have. Erika didn't want to be greedy, so she had settled on a few photographs and some books. She was getting ready to walk down the ladder back to the ground floor when something flashed in her eye. She paused, put down what she was carrying, and slowly walked over to the mysterious shining object. After pushing aside some fabrics that were blocking it, she pulled out a wooden jewelry box with gold edges. She opened it to see handfuls of necklaces and bracelets inside. She stifled a sob at noticing some of her grandmother's favorite necklaces. She looked through and pulled out a small box inside of it. She opened it to see a pendant that she never noticed her grandmother wearing ever before. It was silver with a green gem of some sort in the middle. She felt and odd urge to touch the gem in the middle, and did, only for everything to go black.

She woke up in the middle of a grassy field. The sky was an odd color, and all she could hear was a faint ringing in her ears. "Where am I?" She wondered aloud, taking in everything around her.

"Your in frenika!" A voice said from behind Erika.

"Frenika?" She whipped her head around. "What's, or more, where's that?" She tried to hide the shakiness in her voice. Truth be told, she was actually kind of freaked out. The last thing she remembered was touching that pendant, then waking up here. "And who are you?"

Rather then seeing anyone, there was just a small yellow lizard on a rock. It then spoke with the voice from before. "It's... Well... It's hard to explain."

Erika bent over and stared at the lizard. "Y-y-you can talk?!" She nearly screamed. She took several frantic steps back, trying to put distance between her and lizard. "Why, how?! What is this?!"

The lizard tilted it's head. "What do you mean? You can talk two. Come on, Jasen is waiting." It said before starting to walk away.

Erika shook her head. 'Of course I can talk! I'm a human, it's bizarre that lizards are talking,' she thought. Nevertheless, she followed after the lizard with the thought that she was probably being led to her death. "At least answer this question: who's Jasen?"

"Don't know, I just know that he's waiting." The lizard answered.

Her great-aunt died a week ago, apparently.

Mika had barely known the woman, yet for some strange reason she had been sent a large package full of antique trinkets and jewelry and now here she was, sitting in the middle of her living room surrounded by the aforementioned items with wide eyes and an excited grin resembling a delighted child's. Suddenly she noticed something sticking out from the pile of gold and silver, and reached for it - an amulet? Why was an odd-looking amulet sticking out of-

For a moment, her entire vision had gone blank and when she blinked her eyes open once more, Mika was sitting in an open area - a grassy field, she noted. Despite the strange dizziness that overcame her, she instinctively stood and walked towards the source of the voices she was hearing. Blinking the dots out of her eyes, she realized she had stopped a mere foot away from a girl and a lizard. She opened her mouth to say something, but nothing came out.

"What's wrong, cat got your tongue?" A voice asked next to Mika.

Erika looked over at the girl who had just randomly appeared. "Thank goodness! Another person!" She exclaimed. "Do you happen to know what's going on? There's a talking lizard and a guy named Jasen who is apparently waiting for me, or us, I guess and grass as far as you can see..." Erika stopped her rambling. She knew that if she continued on, she would probably end up breaking down.

She tensed upon hearing the voice, but didn't dare look beside her. It took her a moment to realize that in fact the voice was speaking in English, and not in Italian as she was usually used to. Mika silently took a moment to thank her decision in taking English lessons before speaking. "No, a cat doesn't have my tongue," she replied slowly, testing out her rusty English. The brunette glanced at the other girl, smiling brightly. "Sorry, I don't know much either," she said with a disappointed sigh.

"Come on Erika!" The lizard called.
"You want to follow them?" The voice asked Mika.

Erika looked at the girl and noted her Italian accent. 'English probably isn't her first language, in that case,' she thought. She took a deep breath to collect her thoughts before speaking. "I'm Erika. As far as I know, this place is called Frenika. And that lizard there wants to take us to someone named Jasen. I'm planning on just following him blindly, I mean, there's nothing else to do, right?" she smiled. "You up for joining us?"

"Call me Mika. And sure, I'm up for tagging along!" She said with a grin in response, completely ignoring the voice. She eyed Erika as discreetly as possible, but after a few moments decided that she would be no threat to Mika's well-being. The lizard was of no concern with her, so she didn't bother paying it any attention. But then out of curiosity she glance to the side to look at it, wondering what it really was.

What Mika saw was a black cat. "Why are you looking at me like that?" It asked.

"Looking at you like what?" She hummed in response, bending down to get a better look at the cat. Her amber eyes gleaned with childish mirth as she tilted her head to the side in a curious manner. "You're just really cute," she said bluntly.

The cat blushed a little. "I'm not cute." It said after hesitation.

Rose's grandmother died a few days ago and her grandfather said she could look through her boxes that were in the closet. Her grandmother loved collecting the oddest of things and Rose loved that about her. Rose went to the closet and pulled out a box. She sat on the bed and started to look through it, some old papers, books and even some jewelry. Rose pulled out a pendant after a few boxes, she had never seen this one before. "What are you?" She asked herself quietly. She held the pendant in her hand and closed her eyes, trying to remember something. She oped her eyes and looked around, seeing she is in a whole different area then in the bedroom. Rose stood up and went in a small circle. "W-What the..."
