The Grey blinked. "No, you didn't."He said. "I don't exactly understand what you're accusing my people of. Start over from the beginning please. I assume something happened on the ship, yes?"The grey asked.

"Well, my eyepiece broke," Latch started. "The grey on board the ship wanted to help me by repairing the eye, yet they were doing it with stolen technology. As it turns out, our whole entire works has been copied by your kind. In addition, the hard work of now extinct species is now in your hand. Some creatures need their technology to get by in life, as they are very poor, have small resources, and live on selling their technology to others. Each species was smart enough to install anti-theft devices so that no one could use their technology and steal their income. ...But you found a way. In addition, the technology YOU stole became outsourced to other creatures for much cheaper than those species could afford to sell their creations for. As a result, they withered away and died. That, my friend, is only half the problem. To make matters worse, you REFUSE to realize it, always coming up with the stupidest excuses, pretending they died off completely differently to how they did, and trying to remove any form of guilt they could possibly have from killing off other species. Frankly, I'll bet my species is probably next."

"Ah."The grey said, nodding. "I understand your concerns and accusations. I've always said that before utilizing another races technology is to ask, at the very least."The Grey said.

"Wait... You actually agree?" Latch asked.

"Yes. Whilst I do believe Technology shouldn't be restricted to anyone species, I do not believe that gives us the right to steal technology and then not credit the original creators."The Grey explained.

"They didn't even do that," Latch said. "I remember speaking to a few people in town, and a few people saw my eye and said "Did the Grey build you that?" At first I shrugged it off, but then it became annoying."

"I can imagine why that'd get annoying after a while."The Grey said.

"So I asked them to give us back our technology, but they refused," Latch said. "I even listed several species that went extinct as a result of their thievery, but they denied it. Now I want nothing to do with them."

"Well, depending on who you asked, chances are they aren't in a position to do this. What you're asking for isn't like going to a friend and taking back something you let them borrow. If it was the engineer you were speaking to, I can guarantee you even if he wanted toe give your kind all of the technology back, he couldn't."The grey said.

"Then who am I supposed to go to then?" Latch asked. "Especially now that I can't get back to that ship."

"Well, I doubt that anyone would listen to you."The Grey said. "Atleast... not for the moment."He said. "If we catch up to your friends and you help stop Subject 5840, then you might have something to bargain with my leaders."The Grey said.

"Are you kidding? I don't trust them enough to want to attempt that," Latch said. "Besides, I'm punishing them by not helping. I already made my leave, and I don't see any reason to go back."

"Well, if you help, my people would be put into debt by your actions."The Grey said. "It's no small secret the Subject 5840 hates my people more than anyone in the galaxy. Nothing's stopping him from coming to our home world and destroying it. We might already be on borrowed time. I assume if he isn't stopped here. he might go on to destroy my home world."The Grey said. "At the current moment there's very little even I could do to help your people. But if my leaders know you helped in stopping Subject 5840, they might be willing to hear what you have to say and might be more willing to help your people."The Grey said.

"If I help your people, then the Grey don't have to lift a finger for my kind," Latch said. "I'm only helping THEM if THEY help ME first."

"With that view you won't be getting any help what so ever. My leaders won't stop utilizing a certain technology just because a member of another race tells them to stop using it. Chances are that even if your entire race moves for my leaders to stop using your tech they would just ignore you. And besides, helping to stop Fenrir isn't just helping my people. It helps your people, the humans, and the rest of the Galaxy, and possibly even the universe."The Grey said.

"Then I won't help," Latch said. "in fact, I might even side with Fenrir, and tell my people to do the same unless changes are made. You think for one second I'm willing to reward the Greys for what they're doing? Yeah, Fenrir is destroying civilizations, but at least he's honest about it."

"Siding with Subject 5840 would only make matters worse. Firstly, Subject 5840 is a wanted terrorist. Siding with him would put you and your people would thus be put on the wanted lists of just about every group in the galaxy that's not sided with Subject 5840. I wouldn't find it hard to believe that a war would break out, and your people wouldn't be able to survive the war, given their current condition. Secondly, Subject 5840 would more readily finish your people off than accept their aid. If he destroyed a world, or intends to destroy it that's because he deems that the world, and the native life forms, don't deserve to exist. And thirdly, I doubt your people are going to join the person whose directly responsible for your current situation. And understand my people aren't helping your situation at all, but it was ultimately set off by Subject 5840 destroying your home world. Before Subject 5840 came along, your people were prospering. Even with competition from my people."The Grey said. "I cannot force you to help stop Subject 5840, but I can assure you, helping him only makes things worse for your people."The Grey added.

"Then I guess that's it: our species dies out," Latch said. "I'm only willing to help whoever will help my species, and so far your kind have not done so."

"My leader's don't have a reason to help, in their eyes at least."The Grey said. He sighed. "Sometimes in life if you want help you can't just wait for it to be given to you, and you have to actively reach out and try to get help. Whilst simply asking for help from my people might not exactly get any results, helping stop Subject 5840 will give my leader's reason to help. And again, stopping Subject 5840 doesn't just help my kind, but it helps everyone."The Grey said.

"Are you def or something!? I will NOT help your kind unless they do something for US first!" Latch lashed out. "That is my final offer, and I will not make this any more clear. I'm not helping creatures who don't care about other life-forms other than their own. ...I thought maybe you were a Grey who actually had a sense of decency, but you're just like the others."
